I see those stickers as extra armour. :) If I got a sponsorship from Hunkemller would you mind that?

i dno joey, if i was offered $30 000+ like what some of the battlebots teams were getting paid then i would put what ever they want on the robots
Good point, if it was $30 000 Id definitely reconsider...still think no sponsors looks cleaner though.
I like the Robot - Built For Combat stickers that the Robot Marketplace offer. I like that theyre freely available to buy - you dont have to be sponsored by the RMP to have them on your robot. And I feel they add an extra element of coolness to any robot :)
my sponsor is stedmark ltd do all the armour and stuff
Sponsors... :lame:
At this point Im undecided about them...
any news craig? only around 50 days left so could do with starting to make plans for me spinner armor which may cost abit so could do with some news before we buy anything
LJ ? buy ?what LOL
yes u no them 6 mm ti sheets
any news?
This is an open invite to the FRA to inspect the Rebel Robots Arena on December 27th Burntwood Staffordshire,
this is the 3rd offer to the FRA but the first public offer.
Anyone is welcome to attend however this is not an event, no combat will take place
Errr Craig how can it be the 3rd offer if the arena was never fully built for the FRA to inspect? Something is really sounding dodgy with this whole thing. Wish the lies would stop.
Surly a simple email to Geoff saying arena will be fully built on this day, come view it would have done instead of causing more agro on the forum with this public post.
Mr Stu
The FRA have been asked twice to inspect the arena and I did not get a response on either email, The arena would of being erected for the inspection but the FRA failed to respond
Going by what you quite rightly say about emailing Geoff, Geoff and Andy do not respond to my emails so Ive now resorted to posting on here
Sorry but i find that very hard to beleive Craig, infact, i know its not true. Wish you would just own up to the real facts, but oh well.
I know this is nothing to do with me and i should stay out of it, well attualy no, im a roboteer and part of the FRA and it seems the FRA and roboteers and more importantly the general public have been messed about with lies and conflicting stories. So when is enough enough?
I cant sit back and let you make a statement like that against the FRA when attualy the FRA have given you soooo much lee way in trynig to sort all this big mess, and now your turning around trying to make them look bad in a way. Sorry but no.
Mr Stu
Remember to keep it civil, guys.
Yes the FRA has been very good to me, but they have not responded to the request to inspect the arena I have the emails stu
Kody, it is civil, Im making a valid point which alot of roboteers are thinking/suggesting. Craig has made his reply which i still highly disagree with, but there you go. The sarga continues.....
Mr Stu
Im just saying not to let it get too heated.
Obviously I dont know if Craig has emailed the FRA or not I can only say when I emailed them using a link from this site about my application to join I heard nothing back so I posted here and was told that no email had been received.
see FRA General Chatter » Joining the FRA. Incidentally I have now been waiting 5 months just for my membership card so you might have to wait a while longer Craig.
cant you move the date forward craig?
so far away and so close to christmas...
Until now every email I sent has been read and replied to me in a timely fashion. And there is also such a thing as a phone and mailing a letter.
No LJ I dont live in Burntwood anymore, the next time Im going to be up there is xmas so thats why im going to do it then, Im away from next week for 2 weeks and then im working through November so December is the only time i will be able to
craig, your event doesnt seem to be in the list anymore?
the event was cancelled was it not. and i dont think craig will be posting his event until he has everything in place and signed and ticked and dotted and in stone and has had the arena inspected and got fra approval and proved that the event will be going ahead so that roboteers dont waste any more money. i think craig has learnt his lesson. or has he?
oh rite, i didnt know
ok np craig, will see you around then or at an event soon

spinners allowed?
Hopefully yes
From the website: Arena polycarbonate screening is 10mm thick with 6mm polycarbonate roof, both can be double layered to give 20mm screening and 12mm roof giving the arena an expected Class 2 (Class 1 with double layers)
Need to work it all out, see if we can make it along plus get the mods finished
I would like to go but Robots Live whitick is on that date and I am going to that.
Shame
It is intended to be spinner friendly event however until the arena inspection I cannot say for certain that it will be, The arenas specification however should allow heavyweight spinners so feathers wont be a problem
I emailed Robots Live back in September asking them (and the other Event Organisers) when there events might be so that I dont clash with Rebel Robots, only Robo Challenge responded
More news to come in the upcoming weeks like who is hosting it, prizes and anything else i remember
BTW this is the filmed event
There is a good chance i will be back in the country and if I am then there is a very good chance of an upgraded hornet being in attendance :)
I am so glad things are progressing so well, I expect this event will be one of the main events of the new year.
I am in the process of building a new Saint complete with Halo for it. i dont expect it to win against the likes of THZ, B Nipper and Storm2. but it will be fun!
entered crumple zone
Whats rebel Robots website?
http://www.rebel-robots.com/http://www.rebel-robots.com/
Well, Since Whitwick is a 2 day event, Im going to Rebel Robots on Saturday and RL on Sunday. I dont wanna pick between the 2
craig, how come no heavys?
and can you say anything about the tv stuff? like what channel etc
LJ, there probably wont be heavies because the arena I dont think has had a full inspection to run HW spinners, and I think that if HWs were to attend the event, theyll be on display only. Ive been told that this is strictly a FW event
