Ok Guys so I have processed the applications and I can now give you some more information.
This years UK Championships has been as popular as ever with over 30 heavyweight entries taking part.
The Heavy Weight Competition will now include 30 robots, what was going to be a 24 robot competition has now been extended, I€™m sure you will agree that we wouldn€™t want to send anyone away. I hope that people who have entered are confident that they are attending !!!
So we now have 10 pods of 3 robots, and each pod will include 1 seed.
The seeds have been taken from the 2007 pod winners / final results, and they are....

Pit space is going to be extremely tight, and as this is the Heavy Weight Championships, teams in the main competition may not have a separate table for your feathers, you will have to squash up as best as possible. We are looking to get more space.
The competition draw will be done on Saturday night, and posted ASAP. We have a limit set by the RAF of 90 people, and 30 camping pitches, we are now FULL.
There will be a lot more info to follow.

We should hopefully be arriving on the camping field mid day Friday. Is anyone else arriving on Friday? Also will there be any chance of taking the robot into the tent on Friday afternoon or do we all have to go on the Saturday morning?

we will probably be unloading our car aswell friday so i cant see it being a problem that you do as well
from what i remember, if you arrive on sat they dont let cars into the base so you have to push all your stuff into the place - may be wrong

I aim to be down there by mid afternoon Friday also, assuming the robot is done by then. Things are looking ok, still got some painting to do, oh and putting some electrics in.
