Shape - Literally A Box with skirts side and back.
Ground Clearance - Minimal under the skirts, around 4mm at the front.
Turning Circle - 0
Armour- 6mm titanium all over, coming to a total of 24.3 kg. The skirts take up an extra 6kg and are made from 5mm titanium.
Power- 4 x LEM 200€™s running at 24V and at a gearing of 3:1. It has a phenomenal acceleration, and is hitting with around 10.8BHp. It€™s designed essentially to be Tornado with more speed and better armour, as well as more protection form flippers. The motors themselves do weigh 42kg. And the batteries, 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer Batteries, run in series to produce 24V, weigh just 1.86 kg.
Locomotion- We€™re using treads form old wet go-karts mounted on aluminium hubs from a mini wheelbarrow. Each of these should weigh around 2kg each, as we€™ve drilled holes in the aluminium to reduce weight and have shaved a layer of rubber form the tyres.
Removable Link- The removable link is positioned under the rear skirt. When stopped it should provide for easy access by hand, but not to robots in battle unless the machine is turned over.
Weapons - A single, 1kg titanium spike, with an aluminium boron carbide tip. The point itself is as thin as we could make it at around 0.075cm, and using the rule of Power = Force/Area means that we have a force of around 11 tonnes at the very very tip when we run in at full speed and with the full area of the spike tip. The spike itself is around 2cm wide, and therefore at the end of the tip it€™s far less and only around 0.6 tonnes, however we should still be bale to get the tip through and cause some damage.

Power- 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer batteries, running at 11.1V each, but run in series to crank it up to a limit of just 24V as this is all we need and they weigh a total of just 1.86kg. They power 2 PERM-PMG-080€™s running at 24V and weigh a total of 6.1818182kg and produce 7.9BHp. The motors are geared down at a ratio of 14:1
Locomotion- We€™re using wheels from off-road skateboards for the main powered central reasons, and then we have 8 wheels from normal skateboards mounted on all corners top and bottom for extra stability.
Removable Link- The removable link is in the centre of the top of the machine, directly above the weapon.
Weapon- In the centre of the spanner form, there is a 50cm diameter horizontal disc, running off 2 x LEM 130€™s running on a reduced gearing to just 2000RPM . This will produce just over 10Kj, but the numerous little teeth on the outside (about 250 of them) will constantly chew at the surface. The whole disc is made of 1cm titanium and weighs just 9.2kg.

Locomotion- 2 x 270mm diameter wheels with custom cut treads from an old adapted Go-Kart
Ground Clearance- 0 at front, 0 underneath hinged skirts at sides, 4mm underneath skirts and at back.
Turning Circle-0
Power- 2 x 36V Dustin Motors running off 3 x 24V TMC batteries weighing a total of 9kg for the batteries plus 2.6kg for the motors (Lightweight or what:proud:). It gives a total (Presuming efficiency is at maximum) of 4.42BHp. Not the best shover, but with the wedge shaped, the idea will be that before pushing you scoop the wheels off the ground.
Armour- 7mm Titanium/Vanadium Alloy all around weighing a total of 28.4940747kg for the whole body. The titanium bars on the back weigh a total of about 8.4kg.
Chassis- The chassis is made of 1cm aluminium bars, and weighs around 12kg.
Weapon 1- The weapon is a Helium powered flipper, with 2 x 3kg helium rams, capable of firing about 40 times within the course of a fight, and despite running off just 400psi, is easily capable of flipping 250kg. The rams in total, plus gas, and bottles etc. weighs around 16kg and the actual flipper is made out of 4mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy and is around two-thirds the width of the body and goes up the whole wedge. It weighs 5.022kg.
Weapon 2- the bottom of the front wedge is an entirely detachable wedge made of 1cm aluminium. It€™s been designed to be heavy enough to prevent the front wheelying when driving, and therefore means that it should be simple to flip any robots over. It covers about 10cm of the wedge, and is more than capable of resisting attacks. It€™s been designed well and uses the force of gravity and balance to keep it down, whilst only weighing 3.288384kg in total.
Removable Link Position- In a hole with a swinging flap about 10cm into the back panel, but you have to get past the rollbars to get to it.
Srimech- The flipper acts as a self-righter, and will always land on his wheels thanks to the rollbars on the back, once we self-right. The only time this won€™t work is if we can€™t get enough pressure in the ram to fire us over.
Strengths- Powerful, long-lasting weaponry. Manouvreable. Flipper should never fail to slide underneath.
Weaknesses- Not the best pusher in a straight shoving battle.

Removable Link- In the very centre of the machine. Positioned so few axes will have heads powerful nor long enough to reach it, whilst the shafts must be long and this will reduce their accuracy.
Weapon- A 38kg, titanium ring around the outside of the machine with 8x 4-inch long steel teeth with a chamfered triangular design in order to maximize damage. It€™s powered by a LEM-170 geared down by 5:2 giving out an output speed of 1286.4rpm. With a reasonably high horse power motor spinning it, and a low yet deadly top speed, it should get up to speed in around 2.8 seconds and has an output of 159Kj. It€™s 1cm thick as well so should withstand a good battering.

At the beginning I€™d say it€™d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It€™s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one.
Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier
Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot.
Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body.

Removable link position- Inside the left wheel, as far in as possible whilst keeping it accessible.
Weapon- As before, the weapon is a 300mm 18kg vertical disc on an arm, which can swing right through the whole arc of the robot, and is capable of coming down with a thump. The blades are mounted diagonally, which means that they are capable of both flipping and ripping. The cage can also swing over the top, protecting the axle and wheels from the side that is unprotected by the disc. This means that other than the cage, nothing can be damaged apart from the disc. It should produce about 62Kj. It€™s powered by another S28-400 on 24V and has a spin-up time of 4.7 seconds.

Heat A - My prediction would probably be for the reigning champ, as I can€™t vote for myself ;)
Tactics for round 1 - Joy, my best flipper robot against 2 invertible robots. I don€™t like team-ups unless I€™m genuinely scared so I€™m not going to propose 1. The idea will be to go after Salamander, as I keep my friends close but my enemies closer. The armour is strong as is the front wedge at the bottom. *prays people actually understand how that works this time* so if I keep the wedge to them they€™re unlikely to do anything, although even the sides should withstand the treatment. If we can get them on the wedge, just push them backwards into the fence and flip. There is no guarantee they€™ll go out, but if we keep repeating it enough we€™ll be fine. Kan Opener I am am not scared of as we have good armour to withstand their claws and better pushing power, so if they attack us, we€™ll dispose of them, but I€™d rather get Salamander out the way and cause an upset.
Heat B - The Disc 5 FTW
Heat C - I€™ll put an outside bet on Leprosy Infection
Heat D - Again, if it€™ not me, it€™ll be Whirligig
Tactics for round 1 - Call me arrogant but I personally think this one should be a piece of the proverbial :P I€™ve got a supremely strong spinning axlebot€¦. Up against 2 flippers. I€™m gonna fight them both equally, but with different plans. The plan for Panic Attack is to go straight at their forks, they€™re vulnerable to full on attacks and I believe with the power we€™ve got we may well be able to break the actuator. If we flip it over with the disc, then we€™ll drive to their back, wait for them to try and self-right and then try to aim an attack on the wheels, and repeat until they€™re dead. With Enter the May-Tracks we DO have more of a problem. They are of no danger to us short of flipping us OOTA, but we€™re of less danger to them as well. The plan will be to try and get them to the side wall, and flip them up onto their side with the disc. Then to pummel repeatedly the underbelly and hopefully break the tracks. If that doesn€™t appear to be working, hit it, hit it, and hit it some more and hope that something internal goes.
Heat E - This could be Bloody Tears heat.
Tactics for round 1 - Not as confident about this one (Matt, not an arrogant $hit I hear you cry) as In-Terror-Fied is probably the weakest in my squad, but not to say that it can€™t win. As far as I am concerned Bloody Tears is very underrated and is not the kind of robot I like to fight, We have a better chance of disposing of Axe-o-Lotl but not monumentally better, the idea will be to latch onto something, anything, and bite. The way we are designed means, that if someone attacks us with something in the jaws, they€™re going with us, if something attacks them, the force shouldn€™t carry us over, we should stay stable and be able to watch them have their jaxi kicked. We€™re gonna need one lucky attack to get through this.
Heat F - Storm 2 for me - Best chance a realie€™s got
Heat G - Wedge has been a bit quiet for too long, I reckon he could come back and shock a few people this time.
Heat H - Hmmm, MDU 4 if it doesn€™t explode, Baldur otherwise
Would you believe that I€™m quite happy about this draw? As far as I€™m concerned it does me a favour. I€™ve got an absolutely cannon fodder robot fighting alongside me, and a draw that says I can€™t meet MDU again until the heat final. Score. Just shunt Terrorhurtz into him, and watch him die. With any luck MDU will destroy itself anyway, if it comes for me, I€™ll make it chase me, and then back out of the way when it reaches the arena wall. It€™ll certainly kill of the spinning even if the shockwaves don€™t break the motor so we€™ll just ram them around. I have a feeling that everyone€™s gonna look at it and go €œThat can€™t lose€ when really, it€™s not that hard.
Heat I - I think this is the best chance Aaron has of getting through a heat.
Tactics for round 1 - There€™s only 1 way we can lose this, which is if we get do distracted by offense that we negate our defence. To this end, I€™m going to take a surprisingly defensive attitude to this melee, yes we€™ll attack, yes we€™ll go for it, but only if we can get in an attack without another becoming involved. If robots are after us, we shall knock them away, move away and repeat, Panicking€™s corners look vulnerable to me sot that will be the aim on them, while with MSSD we€™ll just hit the front full on, as there€™s nothing their saw can get to under the disc.

Tactics for round 1 - What an awesome draw, axe versus flipper versus FBS. Well I can quite honestly say that I couldn€™t give a flying expletive about either of them. MegaByte can take out titanium, but I doubt it€™ll do anything to my Aluminium Boron Carbide, cause it€™s not much weaker than Hardox and I€™ve got more of it than most people have Hardox. Plan is to stop them spinning, get the wedge under and slam them over. As for Turbulence the axe should puncture his armour quite nicely so we€™ll just stick it in his gubbins and pull him around. I€™d rather dispose of MegaByte though as I believe Turbulence would be easier to take in a 1-on-1 later and I want to win.
Heat M - I can€™t pick it. I[€˜m going to be very blunt and say I think it€™s about the blandest heat there is.
Tactics for round 1 - Writing tactics for Stinger is about as pointless as trying to turn the Pope Muslim, so I€™m just gonna say spin, wheelie, hammer and be done with it. Have a laugh with it.
Heat N - Achilles
Heat O - My best chance of winning a heat, but if not, Aneurysm.
Tactics for round 1 - This should be very very simple without disrespecting the other 2. This is how to make a full body spinner as far as I€™m concerned, low centre of gravity so it won€™t fly off, good build-up speed and a weapon strong enough to cause damage but without beign greedy and putting it so high that it€™ll destroy itself as well as everyone else. Biohazard would be the obvious target after seeing its fight against MegaByte, but I€™m not gonna go with any specific tactic The only thing I will say is that The Deer stands a very small chance if we stop spinning, so if we stop spinning, stay away from him, even though we should be too wide anyway, other than that, spin-up, attack and kill.

And without further ado, let us begin our first fight!
Salamander III (1) vs. Back 2 Basics vs. Kan-Opener
Salamander III, from the weird (and talented) mind of Alex Holt, is the reigning champion of the last tournament! Hes an axlebot with a serious attitude, and an equally serious spinning disc, weighing 22kg and spinning at 2000rpm, aided by two hardox square teeth on the edges to dish out some serious PAIN. Almost everything about this champ is hardox, except the wheels, which are made of Boron Carbide. Also, Salamander is shookproofed to prevent recoil damage from its own disc! Can it be defeated?
C&B1: Destroyed Disc-O-Inferno completely, tore apart IDSFA indefinitely, took out Killotine: EVO on a close judges decision to win its Heat, made a smoking wreck of Aquarius, ripped off Aneurysms weapon to claim the judges decision, and finally managed to claim a victory over Clawdius Decimus Murderous in the final!
Back 2 Basics, conceived by Matthew Fowler, is pretty basic wedge shape, if I may say so myself. :proud: But its quite capable, too, with a helium-powered flipper that takes up the whole wedge, another detachable wedge, hinged side skirts, and rollbars on the back to help when self-righting. Its also sporting 7mm Ti/V alloy armour with a cm of aluminum chassis underneath. However, its top speed is 8.5mph, and thus will hinder its pushing power.
C&B1: Did not enter
Kan-Opener, entered by Mr. David Sheppard, is a well-known real robot that sports two giant claws that are extremely deadly if you happen to get caught in them. Its also invertible, but however, not having skirts, and a high ground clearance, will give it lots of air any time it comes into contact with a flipperbot. Also its not very agile. Its won an annihilator already, but can it win C&B2? Doubtful...

Ah ha! You didnt think wed kick this off without house bots, did you! Of course not! Starting things here are the 225kg Obelix Bulguous with the wedge and hammer, and Double Whamlet with the scoop and quad axes.

Crash & Burn 2 start! :proud: And a good match-up this should be. Heres B2B coming at Kan-Opener, who backs away from the flipper, but B2B is actually quite quicker than the real robot, and drives under Kan-Opener and TO THE WALL! FLIP! But no! Kan-Opener was actually thrown overtop of B2B and has landed behind him! Unfortunately for him, its now in the path of Salamander III!
CRASH!
The disc collides with the side, and a clean little nick in the side can be seen, but no sign of internal damage is evident as of yet. B2B is back into the fray, sliding under the champion and tossing him across the arena! Salamander bounces but is otherwise unharmed by the jolt. But B2B bears down on Salamander again. Salamander drives towards B2B but not straight on, and one of Salamanders wheels catches the flipper and drives it over the body. B2B lets out a mighty helium snort there, and heres Kan-Opener for an assault on B2B! The realie shoves B2B against the wall, and the claws squeeze around the rear armour of the wedge! And who do you suppose is going to take advantage of a situation like this? :proud:
CRASH!
Salamander buckles Kan-Opener in the rear with the 22kg of mighty hardox weaponry. This time, however, damage is quite apparent! A great slice, and the rear armour of Kan-Opener has been bent into the robot! Oh dear, how do you think this is going to affect their chances? B2B shoves backwards, but Kan-Opener, wounded as he is, still has a grip on him! Salamander isnt waiting around; the discs up again to speed and grazing the side of Kan-Opener again! No big crash, though, as hardly any damage has been inflicted by that blow. Kan-Openers drive is back, and they are pushing B2B towards Double Whamlets CPZ! Salamander rears in on Kan-Opener and adds to the fun, trying to shove them both into the CPZ! Ands here Obelix Bulguous - running right in the fully revd disc of Salamander!
CRASH!
The wedge is buckled, and a more ragged gash has been cut into the armour. Obelix himself is not too pleased, and shunts Salamander in the disc. Salamander cant get away and is squeezed between Kan-Opener, who still has a grip on B2B, who is getting hammered by Whamlets twin axe! Down comes Obelixs hammer, and the armour of Salamander is bent. OH WHATS THIS?! B2B has got under Whamlet and flipped him! What a surprise this is! And the result of this is Obelixs power being utilized, shoving all three of the competitors into the CPZ with Whamlet inverted next to it. Obelix brings the hammer down again, but this time it hits Kan-Opener! Oh my! The top armour is loosed! Its almost completely off! Kan-Opener has released B2B, but B2B is still in the danger zone, and oh, there goes Salamander, escaping the wrath of the house bots! Whamlet finally rights himself and joins the party in the CPZ. Its hammer and axe time now on Kan-Opener, who is completely trapped in the CPZ, the claws opening and closing feebly. Salamander is charged up now and collides with the rear of Whamlet!
CRASH!
AAAAAGH! The rear armour of Whamlet iproved to be not that resilient at all! Its ripped wide open, and the ghastly mechanics of Whamlet are exposed! And the 150kg house bot has stopped moving by the same blow! Obelix turns around in wrath, and sees that Alexs axlebot has hit the spinner button, activating the arena spinner. As Obelix leaves the CPZ to punish Salamander, B2B shoves the comatose Kan-Opener backwards and escapes, flipping over Whamlet again in passing. :proud: Obelix catches Salamander, who grazes Obelixs side with the disc. Hardly any damage is caused, but Obelix responds with the slam against the wall, and Salamander rears away to escape...and finds the wedge of B2B shoving back into Obelix, and flipping him over it! Obelix lets fly the hammer, which hits Salamander in mid-air and therefore merely tapping the disc. B2B continues his charge forward and sliding under Obelix tosses the humungous robo-gaul over onto its belly! Nobody seems to notice that the referee, The Watcher has trundled over to the dead Kan-Opener and started counting him out.

Kan-Opener is hereby out of the tournament! And in other news, Obelix is finding himself hard to right, and B2B turns his attention to Kan-Opener, ramming the chomper into the wall. FLIP! Kan-Opener flies over the wall this time and hits the camera track. Salamander spins around in victory dance style.

Since AJ wants to team up, i shall. Cacodemon only has 1mm ground clearance so it will have trouble driving and turning. It should be easy to attack with the FBS of star 69 since it will have low manovrability. However if this fails it should be easy to push around.

Disco 5 vs. The Riddler vs. Tornado
Disco 5 is Martyn Forsyths wedgy, edgy monster. Its a wedge with a rear wedge, and a vertical flywheel that goes over the back over the wedge. It goes at 3000rpm at its top speed, but at 1 second, its still dangerous. Also included in this package is a nice front front-hinged flipper that can lift about 509kg. Its chassis is 4mm G5 Ti monocoque with an extra 5mm titanium added to the ribs for more rigidity. It sports side skirts as well, so its pretty tough to beat.

The Riddler is a relatively new creation by Steven McGregor. This villain is basically a green bowler hat shape with two scoops (front and rear) and a really nasty rack-and-pinion axe powered by CO2 tanks, which is also used to right it. Its got good pushing power and excellent speed and maneouverability, and 4.5mm G5 Ti armour. Oh, and did I mention it flies the Scotland flag? :proud:

Tornado is a realie, a really widely known realie. This is because it won Series 6 of Robot Wars, and made the Grand Final of Series 7. Its a low invertible box shape with extremely tough armour, Bosch motors which contribute to excellent pushability and speed. It also has multiple attachments at the front to aid its cause in fighting different opponents. For this battle, Andrew Jackson will have Tornado using the drum.

Here we go again! Martyn is going for Tornado immediately, and Tornado, incidentally, is going right for Disco 5! A bang signifies that Tornados drum has hit the wedge of Disco 5 and sent him uponto Tornado! Tornados got him now, but for how long? And now its The Riddlers time to shine, as he collides with the S6 champ and tilts him upwards a little. Axe time! WHACK! The top of Tornado takes a hit, but no noteworthy damage. Disco 5, however, is about to cause some damage, as he slides off of Tornados front and turns around right into the front!
CRASH!
Tornado jolts back, further onto the bowler hat, his front buckled a little, and Steven hits the axe button again, but misses. Tornado, infuriated, zooms away from the gang-up to regroup, but he doesnt have a lot of time seeing as Disco 5 is following him! Tornado spins around just as Disco 5 catches up, and drum connects with titanium wedge, lifting up Disco 5 towards the ceiling and back on top of Tornado! Tornado doesnt waste any time now, and drives Disco 5 straight towards the wall! The Riddler rams the pit release button in a hurry, hoping to pit either of his opponents. Pit! Pit! Pit the audience screams! Tornado reaches the wall, and Disco 5s disc reaches the railing.
CRASH!
A resounding BANG is heard, meaning that Disco 5 has bounced into and off the ground, and right back onto Tornado! Tornado pushes him again into the wall, giving Martyns vapourbot a disc-full of wall. Finally The Riddler comes back into the playground, and rams Tornado from the rear, lifting his wheels off the ground with the front scoop. WHACK! The axe penetrates the top! Disco 5 is released as The Riddler has his prey in his mighty grasp! Where to? The pit, of course! But Disco 5 isnt done just yet! Heres Martyn coming in with a ram to The Riddlers rear, and flips right over onto his thinking cap! Tornado does not flee the scene, but instead rears into the inverted bowler hat and shoves him into the nearby CPZ! Tira-san is there and gives The Riddler a touch of spinning ring!
CRASH!
The Grade 5 titanium does not withstand the impact of that blow! Great colourful sparks are emanated, and strips of titanium litter the floor! But Disco 5 is back in Tornados face, and avoids the drum, slipping under the front and slamming him full-force against the wall! Tornado ricochets off the wall and lands upside-down near the pit! The Riddler pushes his axe against the floor and rights himself with a CLANG, but Disco 5 turns on him and buries the disc in!
CRASH!
And The Riddler is tipped on his head once more! Not really any damage, but the force of the hit flipped the Riddler back over! Tornado comes back in and shunts Disco 5 in the front, but misses with the drum and goes up the wedge; too far, for theres his disc, fully-charged and ready for action!
CRASH!
Tornado is flung down onto Disco 5s wedge, which flips up and tips him over - OH LOOK AT THE DAMAGE! The whole area around the drum is broken apart; great tears in it! Tornado is away and ready for a new assault, but its The Riddler who attacks Disco 5 first, righting himself and a split-second later coming down with the axe! WHAM! The area behind the disc of Disco 5 is hit, and damaged! The Riddlers a got grip on him, but he shouldve watched his own back, because his backs now fodder for Tiras ring!
CRASH!
And the rear scoops just hanging by a moment now! Mighty was the hit, and The Riddlers rear is buckled and torn! But the grip on Disco 5 is still quite strong! In comes Tornado on the attack, and the drum hits Disco 5s beaten wedge once again, tossing Disco 5 skyward and almost wrenching The Riddlers grip away! The Riddler now backs into the CPZ against Tira to prevent her from spinning her ring up again, but now Exa-Gore-Ic is coming into the play! The Riddler seems unable to retain his grip on Martyns bot any longer, and retracts the axe back, but Disco 5 is still stuck because of our friendly neighbourhood Tornado. :proud: Disco 5 isnt too happy at this point; his disc is back up to speed but he cant hit anybody! So what does Tornado do? Slam him into The Riddler!
CRASH!
Can you say flippy? The Riddler is tossed once again, and this time on top of Tira, who is trapped in her own CPZ! Tornado doesnt stop, and presses on, but this causes Disco 5 to be pushed over him and off! Hes free as a bird! And the first thing he does is turn around and drive right into Tornado! The wedge slides under the box shape and the flipper activates, sending Tornado into The Riddler! Exa-Gore-Ic reaches the CPZ but Disco 5 is either avoiding him for the moment, or too concentrated on his prey, and thats Tornado, as he turns and buries the flywheel into Tornados rear!
CRASH!
Tornado is piled against The Riddler and Tira in the CPZ, his rear armour defiled! Exa-Gore-Ic stops, wary of Disco 5s wedge and flipper. Disco 5 turns and slides now under Tornado AND Tira. FLIP! Tira is stuck on the wall, and Tornado is pushed over top of Disco 5, whilst The Riddler lands on Disco 5! Disco 5 turns around again, with The Riddler trapped on the wedge, and breaks away from the CPZ, dodging around Exa-Gore-Ic and heading straight for the pit! He stops just short, and down goes the bowler hat, tipping, toppling, BOOM!

I dont think either of my weapons are going to be affective here. I suppose at first i will try and flip it over and then go in with the disc. If this fails just go in with the disc in the hope it will flip it then keep attacking it or, prevent it from selfrighting using my wedge and flipper

Ive received Alexs, Matts, and Martyns tactics! (Alex and Matt through MSN) All right! Lets get this under way!
Salamander III (1) took advantage of Kan-Openers aggressiveness towards Back 2 Basics and tore him completely up.
Tornado scraped through after Disco 5 carried a very damaged Riddler towards the big hole. Hes still using the drum.

ACTIVATE!
Round 2 begins! Its Salamander who moves first. Backwards. This triggers something in Tornados aggressiveness, and he plunges forwards into Salamanders disc, stopping it before it reaches its deadly speeds. However it still turns Tornado away to the side, enough for Salamander to turn away and drive in reverse away, but hed better be careful because thats Double Big Macs CPZ behind him! Tornado bores down on Salamander, and Salamander drives right into Tornado, however it was on an angle and the wheel of Salamander hits the front and shoves Salamander right into Tornados side! However there is no big hit because Salamanders disc wasnt up to speed in time. However Double Big Mac DOES have his weapon up to speed, and Tornado going too fast crashes right into it!
CRASH!!
Tornado goes FFFLLLYYYIIINNNGGG by that hit, the drum no longer functional, and lands near the spinner. However his drive is still okay at the moment. Salamander doesnt take any chances, and spins his disc up. But Tornado has already recovered from the blow and the motors grind as he heads in Salamanders direction! Salamander is ready and so is his weapon, and meets Tornado head on!
CRASH!!
BOOM goes the drum! Its been loosed from its axle and hanging off the front! Tornado himself has been sent whirling away by the said blow and seems to be shaken up. Salamander rears into the pit release button, which is a wise thing to do, instead going at it from the front and tearing the button off (moot point as the disc isnt spinning). But its Tornado, whos recovered, coming and absolutely hammering Salamander against the button! The champ is in major peril now, cant get away from the rammer! The Watcher comes in and seperates the two, and in the confusion Salamander escapes, spinning up the disc. Tornado hurriedly tries to get away from The Watcher and finds Salamander again, but then he realizes he doesnt need to: Salamanders found him!
CRASH!!!
The left side panel of Tornado is smashed brutally, a great dirty rip to be quite precise! Tornado is again turned aside by the blow, and Salamander runs away to recharge. Its a game of cat and mouse here, and the mouse is winning this one! Tornado is reeling around, trying to ram Salamander but he cant quite do it...maybe hes out of control? Salamander is in again with the disc!
CRASH!!
And that is a major blow! The previously damaged side has been crumpled, great tears in it! Tornado clinging to its life here in the semi-final round, and Salamander is just not letting up with the attacks! And attacks are being dealt here as Salamander dips its disc into the dying Tornados front!
CRASH!
I must say, that wasnt quite a big hit, but it still caused damage as it nicked the right isde of the drum and ripped a piece off! Tornado spun away, crashing into Salamanders disc again and stopping it! Salamander is again in trouble here as Tornado is shoving Salamander towards the open pit! Salamander turns, and barely avoids it! Tornado grinds to a halt, also avoiding the pit, and Salamander is away again, spinning its brutal 22kg hardox disc like a dust devil! In comes Tornado with a brave attempt, slamming into Salamander and again stopping the horrible flywheel! It seems Tornado are really back in this fight and theyre in control right now as they shove Salamander against the wall! Salamander bounces off the wall and the wheel takes a hit from the nearby angle grinder! ITS CUT THROUGH THE WHEEL! Salamander are now just as wounded as Tornado, but still extremely deadly and now the disc is back at full speed. Tornado disregard this completely and ram them head-on!
CRASH!!
Oh my goodness me, Tornado are in tatters now, the drum completely gone! The rest of the front grotesque, the remains of the armour laying in ribbons, almost coming off! How very and truly sad! But Tornado are just not giving up here, right into Salamander and shoving them into the wall. Salamander struggle to escape, but Tornado still has them!

Time running down now, and The Watcher seperates the two, but Tornado releases Salamander before The Watcher actually comes in.

Salamander away now, and Tornado finds them and rams their injured wheel.

Salamander whacks Tornado with the immobile disc.

Disco 5 got revenge on Tornado from earlier attacks and then carried The Riddler into the pit.
Back 2 Basics was clamped by Kan-Opener but went through anyway after Salamander III (1) decided to destroy his attacker.

Its Back 2 Basics who starts off, full bore, into the wedge of Disco 5. Theres a BANG, and both machines halt as the wedges cancel each other out, neither being able to get under the other. Matty is not satisfied with this and B2B drives against Disco 5, who isnt really able to match B2Bs power and is being forced back. Suddenly, up goes Disco 5s wedge onto the other, and FLIP! Chance nailed! Disco 5 flies through the air, and since the disc is still going spinny, that makes Disco 5 go all gyroscopic and spin through the air, coming to rest back on its wheels, but again, the gyroscopic forces make Disco 5 jump up a bit, and B2B pounces right at the left side. Unfortunately, this time Disco 5s lowness gets the better of Matty, and B2B hits the skirt and crashes right into the side. Disco 5 turns and buries the disc into B2Bs right side!
CRASH!!!
No visible damage, but a HUGE amount of sparks! That will indeed score some style points for Disco 5 if it goes to the judges. Heres B2B for another attack on the other side, but the skirts defeat him again, and he is jolted into the other side. Not that it wont benefit Matty (those wedge corners are awfully sharp), but getting under the skirts is his priority. Martyn turns Disco 5 again to hopefully cause some more sparks but B2B has already retreated and is back in, coming in, but again the skirts of Disco 5 defeat B2B, and hes driven in the disc!
CRASH!
Oh no! The flipper of B2B is buckled! The force of the blow has done something to it, but what has been done to it has yet to be seen! But theres no external damage as B2B makes a getaway. Disco 5 is right after him, though! B2B spins around and the wedge finally finds its way under the rear skirt and...and...no flip! Disco 5s previous attack had disabled the weapon! This bodes not too well for poor Matty, but hes notcrying about it, and with Disco 5 still on the wedge B2B drives and bashes Disco 5 into the wall! Disco 5 hits the wall and tilts towards it further, with the disc catching it in the process!
CRASH!
WHOA! Disco 5 just did a loop-de-loop in mid-air there, and the wedge caught the arena railing and bounced it back onto its wheels! B2B is right there, waiting for Disco 5 and advances; however Martyn spins Disco 5 around, and B2B rides up Disco 5s wedge instead! FLIP! Oh no! B2B is on its back, and its flipper is completely dead! What does that mean? Thats right, the ref gets into the mix! The Watcher wanders over and starts counting B2B out.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!
Out of the tournament goes B2B, and whats this? FLIP! Disco 5 has just righted B2B! B2B is running around the arena and has hit the pit release button! Taki-san and Asterix Heroicus are now free to do as they please, and theyre not going to let B2B get away, but Disco 5 seems to be on B2Bs side now thats beaten him! Martyns wedge rams Taki from the side and FLIP! Taki is upside-downy! Asterix roars in and pulls a B2B, sliding up the side skirt and colliding with Disco 5s side! Disco 5 shoves the disc in.
CRASH!!
More sparks, and another buckled wedge as Asterix is shunted backwards several feet by the hit. B2B is now under Taki and I really cant believe this: the house bots are being attacked by the competitors! B2B turns, but Taki rolls off the wedge and...falls into the pit. :proud: Finally, The Watcher intervenes and pulls up the yellow card seen blinking on the lifting arm.

Back 2 Basics proved to be more than just a fluke, but that was it.

I dont think my flipper is going to be able to do much here. I reckon going disc to disc would do some damage but in the end it could also harm disco as well. So my idea is to go for the wheels, the drives for salamander 3 are in the wheels so several hits should hopfuly damage it. I reckon though if i was to attack his spinning disc with my disc it could disable his spinning disc, if this happens use the wedge and flipper to pin salamander against the wall and then attack it using the disc to cause more damage and try and imobilise it.

Pretty much obvious - avoid weapons (particularly getting hit in the wheels) and get my disc in whenever possible.
