TERROR GEAR 3, with its front spinning drum on top of 2 hinged wedges in front. It also has a double-edged thacker at the rear, and side skirts. However, its not invertible and it aint got a srimech... (from what I can see) Its up against...
MOTHER OF ALL BRICKS INEVITABLY EVOLVED, a simple wedge...or is it? Not really, for it is powered by 2 LEM200D motors producing at the peak 52 horsepower. It also has 6mm hardox 450 all over, and is invertible. Ouch!

The house robots are Sir Killalot, and, still recovering from the second battle, Growler. :proud:

Its on! MOABIE rams head on with TG3 and smashes him against the wall, neither bot getting under the other. MOABIE reverses, and TG3, drum spinning wildly, advances. Brave, but Aaron puts any other thought to bed as MOABIE drives into TG3 and this time gets under the hinged wedges and slams it into the wall thwacker-first. TG3 lands on top of the wedge...ooh, this isnt going to turn out good. :proud: MOABIE spins around on a 180, and drives for the wall opposite. TG3 falls off the wedge slightly, and BAM! TG3 lands drum-first and spins into the air, landing on his back! It looks like its over for TG3! MOABIE, deciding that he wants his match for himself, starts ram fooing TG3s ass around the arena, crashing into the arena walls and not giving a damn about them. :proud: Refbot is following MOABIE all around the arena, trying to count out TG3, but no way in hell is MOABIE gonna let Refbot and the HBs take the fun away! Sir Killalot now decides to assert himself, and drives right at MOABIE, thinking that he could lay the hurt on MOABIE real bad. Not with that hardox armour, K! :proud: MOABIE is rammed by Killalot but takes no visible damage, and turns to face Killalot. Refbot gets his wish and starts counting TG3 out.
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!
Growler clamps TG3 and drags him over to the flame pit, roasting him alive. Meanwhile, Killalot rides up onto MOABIE and stays there. Suddenly, things have turned bad for the HB as MOABIE does not pull a WBC and is actually able to move...towards the pit release! Growler sees this and turns, flying at MOABIE, but only rams Killalot, doing squat. Killalot is shoved into the pit release - GROWLER FALLS DOWN THE PIT?! Oh dear, what a shame, what a pity! Poor old Growler, your sight must be going. :proud: Anywayz, since Growler is in the pit, MOABIE doesnt know what to do with Killalot and so dumps him face-first onto Growler. TG3 is still on the flame pit, and Refbot shoves him out of the fire and onto the floor flipper...WHOOSH! TG3 flies onto his wheels again, but is not moving, nor is the drum. Apparently, the flames (and all that huge ramming) did something inside of TG3, and yes, smoke is eminating from him. MOABIE pushes TG3 back onto the flame pit, and this battle is all but done now.

Right... MOABIEs magnets are worthless with the wooden floor of the RW 5 arena, giving me the traction advantage. As for the massive HP difference in his favour, that wont help if I can get under him. Ill get him from the side and try to toss him OOTA.

Okay, I wrote the above fight assuming MOABIE was just a wedge with HUGE power. Now I just realized that MOABIE is not a simple wedge, but its wedge does something different. Something...electric, what it does I have no idea. Forgive me if the fight was not to your liking, Aaron (or Tony). Please fill me in on the details.
By the way, Frank told me to ask about it, so blame him. :proud:

The front wedge on MOABIE is an actuated wedge. Its based similar to Sewer Snake. It works both ways up and can lift another robot easily...

The bonus advantage about the electric wedge besides the ability to flip or stack an opponent against the arena wall, I can apply more of the bots weight onto the leading edge of the wedge which makes it soo much easier to get under hinged skirts and other low wedges because I have more pressure on my wedge keeping it pressed into the floor, while other wedges and skirts will bounce up on impact, allowing me under :proud:
For May Track, hes gonna run out of flips because Franks recycler idea just wont work if the robot is running CO2... He would need a huge assed compressor to extract the gas from the rams, and then compress it back to bottle pressure (750psi). If hes running compressed air, once again, hes going to need a huge compressor to keep up with the flipping....
Care to explain more about your recycler Frank? Id like to hear more about it :wink:
Anyway, because May Tracks is only running a pair of S28-400 magmotors on nominal voltage (24v) He is going to be sluggish to turn and accelerate compared to MOABIEs overkill drive, because the amount of tractional forces to break while turning with those rubber tracks are going to really work the motors... May Tracks may have more traction, but its also a hinderance to his manuverablity, despite being 5MPH slower, I reckon I can nip around his sides faster then he can turn, due to my faster acceleration and skid steering vs his sluggish acceleration (lot of momentum in tracks to get into motion compared to a wheel) and tank steering...
If Ive gone a bit techie, let me know and Ill try to draw up some diagrams and explain it a bit easier for anyone...

The recycler should work, because to be perfectly blunt I stole the idea from Gravity. I dont know how it would be implemented, but if youre going to call me out on that angle Id like to see you customise a gas turbine some time Aaron.

A website with shat loads of information on how to make a custom gas turbine :-) My design just ran on Petrol using car fuel injectors to atomise the fuel into the combustion chamber. I can go further if you want, but Ill give you two points for that shot Frank :wink:
Got a link to the Gravity recycler? As far as Ive always heard that Gravity ran dual 2kg CO2 tanks and was limited to around 20 flips...

I heard it somewhere, either on this forum, the old forum, or on series 7, I cant remember which. If it bugs you that much, then forget it, just say it has around 30 flips, seeing its not hugely powerful like Gravity or WBC...

To be fair, I think the drive, chassis and armour of May tracks only comes to about 65kg, which leaves 35kg for the whole pnuematic system, including any compressors etc. 35kg seems plenty to me.
However, its never going to have unlimited flips, as the energy has to come from somewhere. How did you think the recycler system worked Frank?
I dont think any of Aarons robots would get under the weight limit (apart from Sewer Snake and warrior SKF), unless they were very weakly built.

MOABIE is a shuffler though, so its fine..and I think Acid Burn is only for 200kg walker tournies, as well.

Fair enough. When I ran the numbers I was surprised how close they came to 100kg, given the motors and batteries used.
I think it would be more realistic to err on the side of caution though. The robot calculator predicts most real robots would be underweight, so there must be something Im missing out, which means Aarons robots would in reality be even more overweight.
I need to put more robot designs through the calculator to try to see where the errors are coming from.

As far as weight is concerned, the way I look at it, most vapours are either overweight, or as what seems to have happened with May Tracks, very underweight (compressor aside) to overcompensate. The reason is, we cant build them to see if they really are 100 KGs, or weight the parts out before hand using anything more than what information we can gather on the partys, which are the only realistic ways to truly tell how much a robot can weigh.
The reason this doesnt bother me that much, is if all vapours are overweight, then it doesnt really give them an advantage. The only time it does bother me is if it does give a massive advantage, like having 4 Etek motors, 1 CM hardox armour and a hydrulic crusher.
Mark, my basic idea for the recycler would be to try and pipe the escaping gas into a compressing system, and then feed it back into the bottles... Its really an overkill idea though, seeing how many flipper battles tend to end when one runs out of gas.

Aaron calculates the weights for his vapourbots by researching all the parts he uses, something a lot of us dont do. The armouring is calculated by using a formula to times a render of the robot against the armours weight. This is usually an effective method that many people have used to calculate robots weights and I doubt it is incorrect. Id say either the assumptions are wrong or the calculator is wrong, because I doubt the explained method is incorrect. All peak powers are used in vapourbots, otherwise how do we know what the system runs like without building it? I will assume Aaron will justify the weights of his vapourbots, so Ill leave that to him. If real robots weights are incorrect I think we can only presume the calc is wrong, not everyone else. Good work on the calculator though, and no offence meant. I just beleive its likely to turn out wrong.
As for the recycling system, Ive never heard of anything like it. Im also 99% sure Gravity never used anything like it at all.
All vapourbots are unrealistic, Im sure if SOR was put through the calc it would end up in the 500kgs. I think we need a decition about whether to carry on designing them the way we do, or working with the calculator and improving it as we go along... what do you say? :)

Im sure Aaron can justify his stats, but if the calculator is making real robots look underweight consistantly, then thats still a cause for concern regarding his weights. But then, as I said earlier, I think most vapours would end up in the 120 KG mark, so its not like thats a massive advantage for him.
...Except for Acid Burn. Id like to see a break down of that, given the massive estimation.

I think most vapourboteers already have their own ways of creating vapours that arent hugely overweight, since among all vapourbots Ive seen here, not one of them seems to have an unfair weight-advantege over the others
I see Marks calculator as yet another way of creating vapours, and estimating weights since it seems to be far from perfect right now and neglecting certain factors like weight reducing holes and stuff... so as an answer on Andys qeustion, its great to have the calculator as a handy tool and I might use it, to see what a certain armour-plate is gonna weigh or so, but I dont think it should turn in some kinda bible that all vapourboteers should live by (even without the possible errors in it btw) :)

My way of doing it is clearly the worst - look at comparable machines and make estimates based upon what they can fit in. After that just look to see if it seems probable.
Effective as I rarely get weight checked, but not reliable...

@Mark: Ive had a look at your calculator before and I found it very rough.
You dont go specific enough into each part selection. Small drill motor... Is that a Handy Worx drill? An XU1 drill? A GMC 2-speed drill? All of them are smaller then a Dewalt. The Handworx drills are around 200g, the XU1 is around 350g and the GMC is around 680g... So by your calculator... You can be any where from 25% to 50% out on a designs weight in just the drive train alone.
To assume the chassis, how are you doing this? are you just putting a box around the estimated volume of all the parts and using that? Which is okay if we all built boxs... What about wedges, and multi teir shapes?
I dont mind being the target of this weight factor, because I havent been challenged in my word since Nick left :proud: But your calculator seems very off. I cant get it to match a single real robot yet.. There just isnt enough selection in parts, chassis shapes/designs, armor types/thickness/combinations.
I generally design my vapourbots in Rhino3D, but I admit I have become careless in the last year or so with renders because even when I had proved the weight was within +/- 10% of the limit, people like Alex (No Offence) were being allowed to enter with no real showing of weight... So why bother putting in 5-8 hours work in Rhino 3D, and explaining technical parts when I can just throw some stats up in 30mins and bollox my way like 98% of the other entrants :lame:
Yeah, Im probably a bit over in places, but Id like to see you find one fanfic bot in this forum that isnt over in some perspective.

And again we kick it off! EtMT charges MOABIE right off and flies off the wedge to the other side of MOABIE, turning around to find MOABIE already facing him! This doesnt impress EtMT in the slightest, and so he moves around to get at MOABIEs wheels, and finds himself on top of the wedge! Thanks to the treads, however, EtMT slides off and quickly gets under the side. However, he does not flip MOABIE but carries him to Mr. Psychos CPZ, who brings down the hammer! Hmm, for such a big blow it didnt seem to do much damage to MOABIE, but EtMT finally fires the flipper and tosses MOABIE into Mr. Psycho. Psycho brings down the hammer again, this time on MOABIEs underside. MOABIE manoeuvres towards EtMT but now Matilda has come over...and flips EtMT over, getting her revenge...? :proud: Not quite, as Matilda reverses and buries her flywheel into the inverted EtMTs front, almost flipping him back over but no, for the flipper on EtMT does that. However, no real damage seems to have been done to EtMT, but it seems that the house robots are having the fun now, and that its all out of the competitors hands, as Matilda hauls up a struggling EtMT. Suddenly, the hold is broken as EtMT falls back on his treads, and whipping around fires the flipper, sending Matilda over! MOABIE, however, is not doing so well, as he had been shoved in place, suffered 4 consecutive hammer blows for Mr. Psycho, and is not moving as fast or turning as agile as before. EtMT quickly gets to MOABIEs side and flips him against the wall and sprints away as Psycho chases him down. MOABIE rides the wall and lands right side up again, regaining some of his lost speed and ramming EtMT from the side, but EtMT again rides off. Refbot rights Matilda, and the female house robot is back in action, her flywheel actually rammed into by MOABIE, who spins up, but comes back down, and is flipped over from the side by EtMT, who then gets under MOABIE and carries him to the arena wall and - GOODBYE! MOABIE sent OOTA. But someone is not happy! Matilda chases after EtMT and receives in return a faceful of flipper as Frank fires the button and inverts the house bot, shoving her onto the flame pit also. Psycho drives at EtMT in a fit of rage, but Refbot comes between the two and stops Psycho.

Usually I leave a 5 kg buffer for mass I cant calculate. Wheel rubber, wires, extra little bolts and bits that hold things, paint, or anything else that has a small increase.
I will attest that Aarons robots are below the threshold mass. All the armour wouldve been calculated by the volume tools in Rhino, and the parts were researched. Assuming theres buffer room for stuff like chains, fuel, and rubber parts, theres no reason to think its overweight.

TUW is pretty hard on the line. It has a 35kg Hardox chassis(mounts and bits included in that weight) with 22kg of motors, 12.8kg of NiCD, A 6-8kg of gearing and about 8kg in the pneumatics system(Its only a 80mm bore 120mm stroke Aluminium ram, 2L aluminium buffer tank, 3 burket valves and a pair of 20z CO2 tanks.. About enough for 20 flips I believe), another 6kg in the wheels and the rest is buffer weight.
Roughly between 95 and 105kg. The chassis is pretty heavy, but being only 4mm Hardox, and being such a compact robot (800mm long, 600mm wide & just 250mm tall).

Terrorhurtz immobilized Ripper by pounding the crap out of him and then pitted him, much to the delight of Team Hurtz.
Wedge Devolution went through by flipping Leprosy Infection all around the arena, and then Refbot pitted him.

Steve immediately applies his tactics, as Wedge Devo wheels in reverse to allow Terrorhurtz to come forward, then Wedge goes for the side, gets under Terrorhurtz and throws him over, but Terrorhurtz rights himself immediately as Wedge Devo fires the flipper and tips up a little and comes back down. Terrorhurtz takes advantage of this to fire the axe and hits Wedge Devo on the side, but doesnt do that much damage. Wedge Devo turns a little and gets to the side of Terrorhurtz, flipping him again. Terrorhurtz goes over and rights himself immediately, but Wedge rides Terrorhurtz to the wall and flips him, hoping for an early OOTA, but Terrorhurtzs axe catches the wall before the flip and he bounces along the wall, landing on his wheels and charging Wedge Devo, getting under the side skirts with the front plates and bringing down the axe. This time, a small dent appears in the flipper of Wedge Devo, but still nothing major. Unfortunately, Wedge Devo is trapped on top of Terrorhurtz, and so the Robot Wars Series 6 finalist pushes the VFT6 winner into the side wall and begins to hack mercilessly at Wedge Devos side. Steve works the controls desperately, and finally Wedge Devo escapes, but not before suffering 5 straight axe blows in the side, and that side is looking terrible now€¦ Terrorhurtz chases after Wedge Devo, but Wedge turns, and Terrorhurtz flies straight up the flipper and right over Wedge, who fires the flipper again too late, and gives himself a tiny bit of air as he rises up and falls back down again. Terrorhurtz wheels around and sees his opponent charging him again. Terrorhurtz cant get away fast enough, but this time Wedge Devo goes onto Terrorhurtz, who for a moment is phased by this, but before he can grasp the fact that his front is lower than Wedge Devos, Wedge rides off and attempts a flip at the side. Terrorhurtz rides away, but Wedge Devo catches up, gets under the rear, and gives a mighty toss that sends Terrorhurtz hurtling across the arena, but bouncing back onto his wheels. Wedge Devo chases Terrorhurtz down again, but Team Hurtzs bot isnt that chicken, and so Terrorhurtz turns again and receives a faceful of flipper as Wedge Devo once again rides onto him :proud:. Terrorhurtz brings down the axe, and the flipper receives another dent as Steve controls his creation away, and for another attempt at the sides. Terrorhurtz sees this and rams Wedge Devos side before Wedge can get around, and getting under Wedges side again slams Wedge into the wall and repeats the axe blows, this time on the other side. Why, what a back and forth match this is! :) Terrorhurtz reverses, and allows Wedge Devo some breathing room, and that Scotland flag is now gone, lying near the flame pit. Wedge Devo is resilient to this punishment from Terrorhurtz and so flies at his opponent again; Terrorhurtz turns too late, and gets tossed across the arena again, landing on his back and righting himself with the axe. Wedge Devo rams Terrorhurtz again but rides onto him again and gets another hail of axe blows onto the flipper this time, and that flipper isnt looking too good now. The house robots shift restlessly as they havent gotten any action so far in this fight. Sgt. Bash blows some flames wistfully as Wedge Devo gets off of Terrorhurtz and decides to end this now and reverses into the pit release, opening the pit. But Terrorhurtz chases him down and rams Wedge Devo into the front, and having Wedges flipper buckled easily gets under Wedge again, ramming him into the wall! Wedge Devo falls onto his back and rights himself, but onto Terrorhurtz, who drives into the wall, sending Wedge onto his back again! Poor Steve isnt enjoying this one bit, seeing that eyebrow twitching. :proud: Wedge Devo rights himself again, and again Terrorhurtz rams him, but right into Sgt. Bash, who finally gets some action and claws underneath the wedge, grasping on and spewing flames at Wedge Devo. Wedge fires the flipper, but no effect, as its trapped between Sgt. Bashs claws and his wedge. Dead Metal rams Terrorhurtz from behind but theres not much Dead Metal can do as Terrorhurtz turns around and starts thwacking Dead Metal with the axe. Sgt. Bash releases Wedge Devo and puffs towards Terrorhurtz in a fit of smoke, but Wedge gets his chance and€¦FLIP! Over goes Bash! :proud: Dead Metal lowers his sawblade into Terrorhurtzs front panels, and sparks fly as Terrorhurtz holds his ground and keeps hammering Dead Metal with the axe. Wedge Devo gets to DMs side and tosses him up€¦up€¦and Terrorhurtz drives forward, axeing DMs underbelly, which finally tips Dead Metal over. Wedge Devo and Terrorhurtz turn their attention to each other, but before Terrorhurtz can do anything, Wedge Devo rams Terrorhurtz from the side, gets under him and lets fly a mighty toss, launching Terrorhurtz across the arena, but Terrorhurtz rights himself quickly.

OK, Terrorhurtz probably isnt a good partner for house robot killing, but they do still feature in my plans. As Terrorhurtz doesnt have brilliant armour, Ill keep flipping him into CPZs, and let them kill him for me.

Here we go with the Heat B final! :proud:
Terrorhurtz took out Ripper with many axe blows and pitting, then went on to beat Wedge Devolution in a HUGE upset, with damage being the main factor.
Enter the May Tracks sent Son of Ripper 5.0 OOTA after a team-up on Matlida and Growler, before causing another upset in this heat on Mother of all Bricks IE, tossing him OOTA.

And off, they are! :proud: EtMT drives right into Terrorhurtz and, like Wedge Devo, drives right onto Terrorhurtz and gets hammered by the axe, which doesnt do much damage to the hardox flipper other than a miniscule scratch. EtMT drives off of Terrorhurtz, but the Team Hurtz bot drives into EtMT from the sides, shoving him into the wall, but EtMT easily escapes. Terrorhurtz chases after him, but EtMT reverses suddenly, over one side of Terrorhurtz, who also reverses, but too late, and onto EtMTs flipper€¦in a flash Terrorhurtz ends up on his back, but before he can self-right, EtMT pushes him into the wall and tries for an early OOTA. Terrorhurtz goes flying; however, his axe catches the arena wall and he bounces off to the side, still on his back. As he rights himself, EtMT comes flying in and prevents this as Terrorhurtz falls onto the wedge and is tossed over again! He rights himself, only to fall back onto EtMTs wedge and is tossed AGAIN! :proud: This times its into Cassius Chromes CPZ, and Killalot wheels towards that CPZ. EtMT shoves Terrorhurtz into EtMT, who fires the flipper; the big Hz12 is forced axe-first into Cassius Chromes face, and pushes the axe into Cassius Chrome in an attempt to self-right; the result is Terrorhurtzs axe catching a slot in Cassius Chromes armour where the scoop is attached to the body, and this doesnt look good now for Terrorhurtz! EtMT backs away into the pit trigger, opening the pit, whilst Killalot reaches the CPZ, but cant seem to grip Terrorhurtz properly. The other house robot spins around and slams Terrorhurtz into the arena wall, loosening the grip he has on Cassius Chrome, and Terrorhurtz is released, but not for long, as Killalot gets the claw under, and crunches down€¦oh, no, its going to be a loss via pitting! EtMT patiently waits for Killalot to dump Terrorhurtz into the pit, but instead, Killalot turns and, still gripping Terrorhurtz, drives him into the angle grinder. Sparks fly, and suddenly Terrorhurtz finds himself with only half a front panel left! His lets fly the axe, and hits Killalots chestplate, but doesnt really do that much damage, and Killalot turns to the pit, finally. EtMT decides that hes done waiting, and so rams Cassius Chrome head on, but bounces off him, and attempts to go at the side. Killalot turns sharply, dropping Terrorhurtz onto his back, who rights himself, and both Terrorhurtz and Killalot rush at EtMT, who has Cassius Chrome on the wedge and, rather than flipping him, shoves him into Killalot. Terrorhurtz lets fly the axe, which hits Cassius Chrome but no damage seems to be done to him either. EtMT fires the flipper and inverts Cassius Chrome into Killalot, who is all but frustrated as he pushes Cassius Chrome in an attempt to right him and is turned on by Terrorhurtz, who is hacking into the side of Killalot! Sir Killalot turns, and EtMT pushes Cassius Chrome aside, ramming the front of Killalot, and getting under him. However, it seems that EtMT doesnt have the strength to toss Killalot over his head€¦Terrorhurtz, probably feeling murderous, betrays EtMT and attacks him with the axe! Theres nothing EtMT can do now, what with Killalot trapped on the wedge, and not enough power to toss him. EtMT turns at Terrorhurtz and finds the big Hz12 at his side again, thwacking! Killalot finally gets his thread down on the ground, and reverses away. An angered EtMT turns as Terrorhurtz backs away, and hits the spinner button, and the spinner activates for the first time in this tournament! Killalot chases Terrorhurtz down, who tries to attack EtMT, but EtMT attacks Terrorhurtz first, getting under the front now and tossing him high into the air. A great cloud of CO2 is released from EtMT, but that same toss sent Terrorhurtz flying€¦into the pit! BOOM! Killalot chases EtMT around, but Franks creation gets the rear of the big bad knight and tips him onto his face.
CEASE!
Terrorhurtz was aimed and shot straight into the pit.

EDIT: Chris, to answer your question from way earlier, La Machine is a long box with a front Splinter-style wedge and a horizontal bar (towards the opponent) in the center-top.

Yay, I beat Killalot:proud: ...Oh, and Im through to the final.
Not confident about this draw at all, but Im not completely helpless.
Aaron can correct me if Im wrong, but MDU moves by spinning on the spot, and a little doohicky inside it throws a little weight to make it drift in the right direction. While this gives him unparalleled manouverability, its also his biggest weakness. If I box rush him right from the off, and stop him spinning, he wont be able to escape. I just need to trap him once, then drag him to the pit release button, then push him down the pit. Nothing fancy, hes too powerful to mess around with.

OK, I guess LA Machine shouldnt be too much of a threat. Flip it around, and feed it to the House Robots. Once hes beaten, THEN Ill attack the House Robots, but not until then.

Slaying Mantis F VS. Wedga Revo 2.0
I think this match will end up based on who gets under each others skirts first. If Slaying Mantis F gets under mine first, chances are it will get a grip and do what it likes. However if this happens, Wedga has plenty of armour to defend itself. The other scenario is Wedga getting under SMF so it can control the fight.
Hopefully using my far more torquey rambot based drive system I can plough under its skirts fairly easily and from there I have the choice of pushing or flipping. In this case, I think flipping is the best option. One of SMFs weaknesses is its slow self righting mech, so Im hoping to use this as my advantage. Once on its back I can then push it around to where I want. Possibly feed it to the house bots to have a play with. I forget if OOTAs are posisble in this tournament, but if so Ill try to get it out the ring while overturned or at least stack it against a wall.
Should I for some reason fail to get under it, it will just be a case of ramming it around and keeping the crusher and front wedge away at all times.
For the other fights Ill pick Orka Mk 4, MDU 3 and MSSD. Im looking forward to the MDU and Bore fight. :) Keep up the good work, Kody!

Frank, your a bit off in the translational system :proud: No little weight transfers to make it move... MDU3 brakes and accelerates each wheel to change its direction of travel.
Sure, you can try to box rush me, but with 3 x Eteks on 60v with a variable ratio gearing, by the time you get to me, I should be close to 500-600rpm which is enough energy to belt you half way across the arena and spin up even faster :)
Add in the abilty to just straife out the road of all your advancing attacks and strike from the sides, I think it should make an interesting battle :)

Right...hmmm....wedge flipper.
Well as the armour is quite tough that means Im going to need to be quite careful - get under it and position, Ill have the wire cutter set up - aim to attack it at the joins, avoid the front and try to get under at the sides. Once I get under attempt to position the crusher over the join, pierce as far as it will go while doing a forwards slam it into the side and then preceed to entend the wire cutter, with any luck Ill manage to get something that will cause the pnuematics to leak or a vital piece of wiring.
Of course if this fails grab his and slam him hard into the walls until he breaks.

If I get the wedge under, Im not the only one whos going to go flying. Sure, the Bore will be knocked for a loop, but MDU is going to be tipped up briefly, which is all the time it takes for it to spin itself into the air... Happy landings :P

Both bots are going to go flying, there is just too much energy in MDU3 to not have them both go flying around the arena. Im just gonna rely on good manuverability, hi-torque drive motors and brute force to win this match... Either way, its gonna be sweet :D

ORKA MK4, a Behemoth-shaped terror with a lifting scoop and claw-like device to grab the opponent and lift them. It also has 6WD, a self-righting dorsal fin on top, and 7mm titanium armour...and...
LA MACHINE, a very successful and one of the oldest combat robots ever, with its box-wedge design, and ramming spike on top of the wedge. Sporting a powerful drive system, look for this guy to cause chaos.

Its La Machine, who starts off first, plowing into Orka and getting under the scoop weith its own, throwing Orka sideways as Orka veers off. Orka turns and comes for another attack. As LA Machine turns, this time its Orka who gets under Lachines scoop and immediately, the claw comes into play. Suddenly La Machine is lifted into the air and completely helpless, as Orka triumphantly moves its dorsal fin. Orka backs into the pit release, opening the pit, and wanting to finish this one quickly lowers La Machine down. This allows La Machine to manoeuvre around Orka before he is pushed into the pit, and rams the side of Orka. Furious, Orka drives around the pit and turns to face La Machine, who gets under Orka again and throws him aside. Orka furiously gets to the side of La Machine and throws it over rather than grabbing it...and with no srimech, La Machine looks to be out! Refbot comes over and starts counting La Machine out.
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!
Well, this was short lived! It seems the power of Orka was too great for poor old La Machine as Shunt comes over and pushes La Machine across the arena towards the flame pit, giving him a few good axe blows in the process. Sgt. Bash sprays fire behind him as he follows Shunt, and Orka just sits there, waiting. Oooooh...weve got a crispy-fried La Machine in the barbie! :proud: Shunt drags La Machine off of the flame pit and towards the arena flipper this time, pushing him onto it. Orka turns and positions himself right in front of the flipper, and WHOOSH! La Machine lands right behind Orka. Orka shoves La Machine backwards towards the pit, and BOOM! Down he goes, out of the competition.
