Annita is doing well by the way, the cast was taken off yesterday and now she hops around with the coolest contraption Ive ever seen on human legs. Its black and it has got these cool straps on it. Im almost jealous.

Gravity 4 has been covered in Titanium now, and at its strongest point has a sandwich layer of 2mm mild steel, 16mm air, 2mm mild steel, 18 mm mdf, 1,4 mm titanium, 1,5 mm stainless steel...
pretty nice for a scrap bot :)

But what about its weakest point? There is a saying a chain is only as strong as its weakest link .......

its weakest point, eerm, thatll be the big hole at the front side of the robot. Just behind the AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAzing flipper arm.

Gravity 5 wont be ready for the world championships, cause that will be a robot where I will put a lot of time in.
Gravity 4 1/2 will be ready for the world championships.

No offence WJ, but the new Gravity looks nowhere near as good as the S7 one, and probably not as effective. I must ask, why the change ?

I can only see one probolem with the new Gravity, in RW7 it lost because its tyres were punctured. Now the wheels are on the outside!

i like the look of gravity 4.

the change, because I was going to quit robotwars, and I had sold the series 7 Gravity and the fact that my welding machine broke down on the3 thursday-night before Liverpool (while the robot was only half finished) and the fact I only built this robot to have some fun in Liverpool and Newark, and it did suprisingly well... It won 2 fights and came second once, where the Newark champions won twice and came twice second ! So thats pretty close :)

So this is not THE new gravity, just A new gravity...

improvements for Gravity 4 1/2 : Mag motors for drive, 2 co2 bottles, different lower hinge point for the ram, more weight in the front of the robot.

Fair enough :)

It reminds me of bigger brother, dont know why though...
suppose it just the single ram flipper.

Now you come to mention it, it does look like Ewe 2 wil the sort of box shape and top flipper arm.

No offence WJ, but it looks quite flimsy to me. Or is that just the proto-type for Gravity 4 1/2? By the way, which Gravity are you taking to the FAR World Championship?

I think he is taking Gravity 4.5 to the FRA World Championsip.
