Haha, wern't you Tormentia last year too?
We've been Bruiser for the longest time! Not sure what James called the actual Bruiser..... :p
@Gary, Which of the others don't you recognise?
Are TS2 and Trouble Starter 2, two different robots?
I'm interested to know the thoughts behind the seeding. I know one of the top seeds didn't enter, but another that did is not in the top 10. How come ?
Which one's that Dave?
I was confused as to why Drumroll was 6th when I finished 8th but LH isn't in there and Beauty 3/Rip has been sold on. Venom was top ten as well I think, but James has Predator this year (would love to draw that!)
PJ, I'm pretty sure TS2 and Trouble Starter 2 are the same. In the list James posted, there are 48 robots, but there are three robots listed in both the top 10 and the other entries (mine, TS2 and RipOff). Take those three out and that leaves 45.
1- NST (Reigning UK Champion)
2- Explosion - Flipper, always comes second!
3- Cobalt - Crusher, coming back with a self righter
4- MMM (07 UK Champion) - Looks like a mouse
5- Ripoff - The black horse of last year's event!
6- Drumroll - Sort out that belt problem Jamie!
7- 4 4 Toon - Decent ram bot
8- TS2 - Serious potential, look out for this one.
9- Tiny Toon (€™10 UK Champion)
10- LF3 (€™11 UK Champion) - Trying the solenoid again?
Predator Hot Pick! - You gave yourself Hot Pick status?
Boner - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouW68vRs ... page#t=14s
Beauty 2 - €™08 & €™09 UK Champion
Beauty 7 - Another Beauty!
Skyfall - Javis' flipper (the guys that takes all the videos)
Ricochet
Conker 2 - Alex's spinner
Binky - Alex's other spinner, goes on about how powerful it'll be. In the words of Craig Charles, let's see if he's all mouth and no trousers.
Bitzawood Revo - Awesome wooden machine you should all be scared of...
Bitza MK3 - Big secret
Inertia XL - Will's brushed spinner that did very well in 2011
Heatwave - Team Shock's flipper.
Endeavour
Drumroll 2 - Different from the Drumroll in the seeds list?
Carcinus - Jamies pincer that always ends up in the pit.
Robob
720 Hot Pick! - Dave's brushless drum bot.
Eric Jr2 - Tony's flipper made from the old Rip chassis
Cicatrix - Tony's 4WD ram bot that always breaks down.
Kaizer - Ceri's lifter.
Scruffy - Lifter?
Night Fury
Trouble Starter 2 - TS2?
Dizzy 101
Tillys Revenge
Galactus Hot Pick! - Guilherme's drum bot, the fastest spinner in the comp?
Rabid - Guilherme's vertical bar spinner / brushless crusher.
Massacre
No Toy - A new guy here, axe bot with heavy head.
LS4 Hot Pick! - Sends robots home in bin bags.
Ironside2 - A new one?
TormentA 2 - Ellis' Sewer Snake-esque machine.
*unnamed*
Satanix 1.666 - Last year's Anihilator champ!
Wedgie - Flipper
Cyberon - Ram bot
Rip Off/Toonimator
Vortex Hot Pick! - Team Storm's old FW spinner?
Last year a few reserves had to be called up so would be good to know who they are!
I'd feel bad fighting Predator, all that effort!
I didn't see rip-off in the seed list, sorry Jamie.
PJ: Rabid is now a brushless operated vertical claw, was a vert spinner before :P
I am wondering who Vortex is. It it storm vortex by the storm 2 team, cos that would be worrying.
Yes it is. Hopefully he doesn't drop out this time (UK champs last year and a demo event in Belgium he signed up for).
I think I have managed to hype myself up over it... though it has all the ingredients of being really quite dangerous. But knowing what happened last time it will probably go up in smoke and become a really expensive door stop in under a minute; cos that is how long Conker lasted last time.Quote:

Lh2, Venom and B3 have not entered this years champs otherwise they would be seeded. Robots below bump up.
There are 45 entries, plus we need to make room for Matts entry.
Hot Picks are not nessasarily winners, they are exciting bots to watch out for. May need to add No Toy to that if its a new axe machine :)
Vortex is a great machine and could certainly go all the way if it can take on the likes of Nst and Ls4
I only count 15 spinners? Unless some of the ones I don't recognise are spinners.
What's *Unamed* Matt's entry?
Who are the reserves James?
@PJ
Its my entry that I paid for but something got lost in ciberspace and the form didnt get through
Mine is a (hopefully) 6wd vertical spinner with a 2kg disk and a A28-400 Magmotor behind it
Spinner number 19 is here
Any chance of the pit working this year?
*unnamed* is actually our machine as well! We have decided to call it Grabbererer, so that an be changed as well as Tormenta spelled correctly. :?
6wd, 2kg spinner with a mag? So 540 with a magmotor......I look forward to seeing that one
Cheers PJ, a fair few I didn't recognise on the list as I wasn't at last years champs.
Incidentally, I'll be bringing 540 for whiteboards and funsies. Means that boner doesn't have to fight outside the main competition :)
wicked im seeded number 8 :) never been seeded before, looking forward to the champs and fingers crossed i should have TS3 by then
and i wrote trouble starter 2 and ts2 down as the same robot though,to stop people calling it troublesome 2 on youtube videos lol

Nice looking spinner, with good drive too, staying up rite it will be a good contender
What thickness bulkheads are you using on conker?
Its only 10mm HDPE for the uprights but supported by 2mm Ti
Conker 3 is already in design, reusing the outer body panels, but the new bulk heads will be 20mm Aliumec to support a HK-5035-800Kv motor which is about 4x more powerful than the S900's.
Surely that disc will grind?

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psd879b3df.jpg
When I move to the Brushless I will be moving to a new disc with a single tooth, if you can call it that. I may cut it out for this champs though if I have the money.Quote:
