And lose the house robot for featherweights. It is so much bigger than the feathers that drivers lose sight of their machines and so can't control them. And it inflicts damage. When I put my machine in the arena I accept that it may take damage from other machines in its class - that's part of the deal. But I do not expect to have my machine beaten up by something 10 times its size.
Actualy it's about 67 times bigger!! Seraph is not scared
Or make a baby house robot to play with the featherweights. Like a small growler or something.Quote:

My thoughts are and have always been this on arena's.
If your looking for really good combat, then I think the best way to go is an arena with very few arena hazards so that your not just fighting the arena the whole time. Flame pits, CO2 jets etc would always go down well though.
If your new venture is more public show orientated, mainly just a show, then some good arena hazards would be nice, just not too over the top. I personally dont like the spinning floor idea, The corkscrew always looks good down the side, or maybe even a vertical spinning car wheel type thing that wont cause a huge amount of damage but would throw a feather pretty well!
You mean sort of like Mouser Mecha Catbot + Killsaws?Quote:

I would love to see a drop zone :)
with a drop zone, for heavies you couldnt really hang a cooker from the roof cos it'd be too heavy, but for feathers it'd be cool to have a small tv that weights about 10kg or so and it'd smash and look great
Suppose your right, unless the height of the arena was increased and the metal rigs that hold up the builder debris catch netting were reinforced, but I don't know if its doable.
Also, you should install a camera in the pit just like how there was in Robot Wars the Seventh Wars :)
Thanks for the input guys, points noted for the future.
