that battery is perfect and very good price,i recon 2 in series would be perfect,
but someone with a f/w would know for sure as i run a h/w.

ok thanks for the help il order 2 sets of those and look up how to connect a series circuit.
EDIT:
actually i found these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-12v-700Mah-Re ... 518e0fecce
their only a fiver each but do you guys think their reliable?
i proberly will stick with 2 on each motor (making the 24v that the motor requires) but im guessing a normal speed controller may not take that kind of voltage? im so what speed controller should i buy?
Series is positive to negative, parallel is positive to positive.
ive just noticed you want to use 24v motors you will need a bit more voltage than 14.4 v
(2 sets in series)
i think the average motor volts on a f/w is lower than 24v, you will need both to be the
same voltage to operate.
the 700mah packs will never work you would propably need 5 times that mah current ie 3500mah.
as for speed controller loads available, i would use a wotty simple and reliable.
ok im going to look for some new batterys with more mah
EDIT: ive got my brother sorting out some batterys, but does anyone know any sites where i can get a speed controller that can handle the voltage i need?
american speedos:
victors
rs80d
maybe xxl with mods
england the wotty
or you could spend loads and get roboteqs and stuff but that is overkill
search vapextech in ebay shops for batteries
thanks, looking at vapetech shop now.
where can i get wotty speed controllers from?
ian watts
ok thanks il contact him after Christmas or after i get the rest of my parts.
The electronize controllers will handle those fine, are rugged as hell, well proven in robots and cheap as chips compared to most other controllers.
Battery wise look for something around the 3000mAh mark plus with the right voltage.
