Small Torgue - snakeskin look
2 coats white primer
2 coats Plastikote satin pink
1 medium thick coat Plastikote Crackle effect black
Stand well back............
1 thin coat Plastikote Crackle effect black
2 coats clear lacquer
Small Torque glitter look
2 coats primer
2 coats Plastikote metallic black
While top layer still tacky sprinkle pink glitter dust over painted surfaces
1 coat clear lacquer
(BTW I have painted a coffee table the same way)

is it best to use a white primer coat? what are the advantages of this?
any tips of spraying etc?
I have thought of using thick masking tape to cover the stripes but whats the best way to do the other colour withour covering the first colour?
and finally where to buy from? brand name? think most people seem to be saying plastikote

A white primer will be alot easier to cover with yellow than if you was to use say a grey primer. Lay down a few coats of primer,Let it dry, Then your yellow, Let it dry, mask off your stripes with a low tack tape then go over with black. once thats dry unmask it and go over with a clear if you want. I usually use a 1200 wet and dry between stages but you dont have to.
I use grey primer,stops the hardox rusting in my garage if left unpainted.
Thick masking tape over each stripe not being sprayed.Halords own brand paint,probably cheaper at indipendant car accesory shops.
Can you not just used striped paint?:)
Not available in Black and White Tom,only Red and White.
