Damn it. :lame:
The key here, is to kill everyone who comes near me. Spin up, first thing, and try to shock kill both of the robots. Avoid the front of these robots like the PLAGUE!
Good luck, Liam and Martijn.

Kody, Skid has no weapon, just a wedge.
Tactics: Ram all robots.
Hmm...might have flamethrower burning motor capability though :P
PREDICTIONS FOR OTHER FIGHTS THAT I WROTE BUT LAST NIGHT FORGOT TO PUT UP *head, meet desk*
PsycloniZer vs. Hypertension mk 3 vs. Skid: The one with the motors running at almost three times their rated voltage will start promisingly but as soon as it tries to ram or push anything, the amp draw will blow something up, probably a motor, and thatll be it. The one with the flipper will then probably be unable to fully overcome the one with the huge spinner and Psy will progress.
System Shock 4.0 vs. Under Pressure vs. Thanatos: Martis clamper might come undone in a melee, but itd still be a bet to win...either it or System Shock to progress.
The Punisher vs. Nitro-Gene 5.0 vs. Spin Dash Unleashed
Uh...Spin Dash. The saw will probably depart the robot at some point but itll still ram things nicely. :proud:

A bit hasty on judgement there Joey, because the motors are wired in series (3 motors per side, all geared together), they only see 22v each :-) Shredderator used this on its weapon, it ran a pair of D-Pack motors in series on 48v (Each motor gets 24v).
The theory behind it is to user a higher voltage so you require less amperage from the batteries to provide the same amount of wattage, because the batteries have less load, they dont get as hot, improving the effeciency. So in short, the only smoke from Skid will be from the tyres and the opponents landing in the pit
Ah, I thought that happened with them in parallel not series - my electrical theory could do with work then :P
Thanks for that, learn something new every day...still think PsycloniZer will win though :proud:
PsycloniZer vs. Hypertension Mk. 3 vs. Skid
Not exactly the best draw I could have hoped for€¦ time for some hit and run tactics. Spin up for as long as possible and unleash some big hits on them both. Shock damage is probably the best way for me to cause problems here. However if I can get some hits on the corners and remove the panels, that would be a big help.
Hex Appeal, System Shock 4.0 and Nitro-Gene 5.0 for the win in the other battles. Good luck to all!
Im looking forward to this tournament, and will be looking out for whatever lets System Shock down, as it is likely Ill be updating it after this tourney
Lets celebrate my return by starting this damn thing. :P

Two bots fought their way to the top spots last time. These two were PsycloniZer, a spinner, and Dolce, an axer. In the end, the spinning hammers of PsycloniZer triumphed over the axe and drive of Dolce. Now with Dolce out of the way this time around, can PsycloniZer defend the crown?
CRASH & BURN: MINI-TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 2
Eliminator 1
PsycloniZer (1) vs. Hypertension Mk 3 vs. Skid
PsycloniZer is our reigning champion. Those hammers pack a serious, serious punch and the drive though weak in the traction is quite accelerative and nippy. Stop the ring, however, and its pretty much fodder.
Hypertension Mk 3 is a newcomer to the tournament. Its got a powerful rear-hinged flipper and some powerful armour and speed to back it up, but will it be enough to swing a judges decision if it comes to that?
Skids a nasty machine, a 6WD pusher with strong armour and quite the temperment. The batteries are run in series so it doesnt fry the 66v voltage it uses, but with no active weaponry, it could be a Skid mark on the arena floor. :proud:
Roboteers, stand by...
House robots for the fight will be Asterix Anarchius and Taki III.

ACTIVATE!
And so begins the 2nd mini-tournament, as the champion hurries away to spin up the hammers, but Hypertension is right after him, trying to break in for an advantageous situation before the hammers get up to speed; sadly, its not the case as PsycloniZers outer ring becomes a blur, almost one with the air, and before Hypo can stop himself, hes crashed into the champs ring within seconds!
CRASH!!!
And feels its devastating effects already! Hypertension came at PsycloniZer on an the angle, and as a result the hammer caught the side of the wedge of Hypertension! The after-result? One of the side panels of Hypertensions been smacked clean off, and the robot itself sent for a loop across the arena, almost faster than the speed the hammers of the champ are rotating at right now! Thankfully the weaponry of Hypertension has been rendered useless, but its now Skids turn to shine as he takes Hypos own opportunity and smashes into PsycloniZer, whos been sent flying by his own impact, and now cant get out of the way in time to avoid the ram from Skid and goes for the ride into Taki IIIs CPZ. Taki turns around quickly, but not quickly enough to get the blade in play and so PsycloniZers ring meets the side of Taki as Skid smacks Psy into Taki. Hypertension, not wanting to be left out in the slightest, rams into the rear of Skid and slides under it, displaying the powerful flipper for everyone to see by tossing Skid over the champ on top of the house robot. Skid lands on Taki upside-down, and gets greeted by the spinning blade as it falls off the rear of her.
WHAP!
That didnt sound good. Skids now turned back over, and somehow stuck under Taki and PsycloniZer, as Hypertension moves in on PsycloniZer and gives the champ a little toss itself, sending it onto the pile of robots in the CPZ. ...and here comes Asterix Anarchius! Hes tired of Taki getting all the fun (if you can call it that) and is almost at the CPZ already! Hypertension sees it coming but cant turn fast enough...WHAM! Hypertension and Asterix now become one with the tangle of robots stuck in the CPZ, but not for long. Skid breaks away from the pile, Asterix also doing so by reversing, and the house robot heads back to his own CPZ, but Skids damage is quite clear. The right middle wheels been smashed in, and isnt turning properly, thus Aarons machine has its manoeuvrability cut severely. Taki finally extricates herself from the CPZ as well, and Hypo self-rights off of PsycloniZer onto its wheels, looking not too bad. PsycloniZer however is looking quite churlish at the moment, the hammers completely motionless, as it tries to escape from the CPZ, but no deal. Skid comes flying in, past Hypertension as Matt tries to get his bearings back, and slams into PsycloniZer back into the CPZ. Taki doesnt know whether to attack again or not and turns to the Watcher for guidance. The ref backs off...only to get flipped by Hypo! Oi! Whats wrong with you?! And...the house robots dont even do a thing about it! Why...how could you? Abandoning your fellow teammate in a time of need! But what The Watcher needs is a srimech, and hes got one, using the arm to right himself. Hypo returns to the battle as Skid continues to back up and ram into the champ, who is definitely not looking like he was last season, fighting for his life here in this lowly Round 1 battle. Skid now gets PsycloniZer on top of him, and Matty decides to end the champs run right now. He heads for the pit release button, smacking into it, and the for the first, that damned pit of hell opens up, ever greeting its inhabitants with the stench of loss. And thats where the champ is headed, as Skid backs up, albeit on an angle because of the lame wheel, and dumps PsycloniZer into the hole. What a disappointing end for Andy Jackson and the champion PsycloniZer!
But Aarons job is far from finished, he still has Hypertension to deal with, as the latter charges towards him. Hypertension and Skid meet right in the center of the arena, and its Skid who comes away the lower as he slides under the flipper of Hypo and smashes Hypo into one of the surrounding walls. Hypo bounces off, thankfully not inverted, and tries to get around to Skids side. The effort is not in vain, as the lame wheel of Skid is effecting him quite much and he cant turn as well aside from the fact that 6WD bots have it harder to turn than 2WD bots. :proud: Hypertension meets the side, but cant let fly the flipper fast enough before Skid escapes, and Hypo ends up flipping itself over. Skid moves in to try and get in another advantage but Hypo quickly self-rights, almost on top of Skid but on the side, and gets away. Skid tries to catch him, but Hypo quickly turns and gets to Skids side. This time, he reacts quicker than Aaron had expected and is able to toss over Skid before it can get away from the flipper, and now the inverted wedge is useless against Hypos wedge and flipper. Knowing that its only a matter of time, Matty moves in as Skid tries to have a go at Hypos sides and rear, but Hypo keeps the pressure on, able to keep the flipper pointed at Skid and keep advancing. Skid races across the arena in an effort to gain some type of ground, as Hypo comes after him again, but suddenly Skid shoots straight up the wedge of Hypo. Hypo doesnt fire the flipper, but realizes what Aarons plan is and turns around too late...or maybe not, as Skid hits the side of Hypo, but the hit deflects Skid right into the front of Hypo. Hypo collects him onto the wedge and, unable to get him down the pit due to where hes facing, slams Skid into one of the Discs of Death!
CRASH!!!
The armour stands up to the blow from the hazard fairly well, only a dent, and its also sent Skid off of Hypertensions wedge, and away! Maybe not the smartest move from Matty, but he still holds the cards here as Skids still on its back and still has a lame wheel. Aaron decides to go for a ram again, but Matty sees the plan coming a mile away. Skid comes right at the wedge of Hypo, but Hypo backs away as Skid hits the wedge, and Hypo is able to keep Skid on the wedge as he now pushes Skid towards the pit. Aaron tries to get off the wedge but the inevitable occurs as Hypo stops at the edge of the pit, and Skid slides down...
CEASE!
Hypertension Mk 3 advances to the Semis!

Never mind. I dont mind losing at all when the battle is that well written. Fantastic, Kody!
Also, congratulations to Skid and Hypertension Mk 3 for giving PsycloniZer its second loss.
Cheers AJ, gallant in defeat :)
