PTT5 is cancelled. Steves dad is moving to France as a translator, and Steve has no choice but to come with him. However, in France, he has no free time, PERIOD. So that means he wont be able to write any fights.
However, he will still be able to make a hypothetical tourny on who he would think he win, without any details of the fight [At least, thats what I think he means by that]
THis is for those who havent heard on MSN yet. Ask any of those [Daniel or Andy] and theyll tell you.
So..this is a painful loss for all..fairwell, awesomeness of PTT which I never got to be in...sigh....

Okay. MANY thanks to AJ, Martyn, and Dan for helping me figure this out.
The following announcement is NOT true. Apparantly, PTT5 IS still going on.
Then who was that Steve, you say? Why, none other than our very own Self proclaimed Retired vapourboteer who continues to enter tourtaments despite retiring: DAVE SHEPPARD!
See, Dave knew doing shit like this would make most leave FRA: Like he had threanted to take others down with him in MRW5. He succeded doing so with Matt R, which is a bad loss, but we arent going to let that ruin our fun now, will we?
Dave is slowly liking ARC more and more, and hating FRA more and more...so by spreading the rumor the PTT5 would be cancelled, most wouldnt see a reason to stay at FRA, and Dave would convince them to go to ARC if they wanted to use vapours again. Now, dont tell me this all dosent add up and makes the only suspect.
So, Dave got a new email, copied Steves font, and tried to act like him...and he did A VERY good job, except for some things [the number of es on bye, no smiley at the end of bye, the fact Steve more than likley would have known his dad would be getting a job at france BEFORE PTT5 started, when signups opened just yesterday] And so therefore we have the only person with a reason to do this: Dave himself.
Dave, if you are going to leave, stop causing trouble and do it now, youve done more harm than help. But if you are going to STAY, then drop your weapons and stop causing problems.

OK, Ive not been on MSN since about 11am this morning, so theres no way thats me saying all that. What Ive read is deeply disturbing. My dad works for Siemmens and is not a translator. Im holidaying in France, not moving there. How can I do a hypo tourney when Ive still got 3 places to fill?! Actually, make that 4...

David Sheppard, if this is true, then all my self-respect for you has all but dissolved. Even during your most controversial spats over FRA fic management, Ive still stood by you as a friend. No longer.

I dont know whether Dave really did it or an enemy of his did it in order for him to get the blame. All I know is my trust in my fellow forumers has been pretty shaken...
