Ive got to agree, Im afraid a 12v speedo just wouldnt cut it for a 14.4v/18v/24v set-up. You might have to pay that little bit more for a speedo with bigger input range. Im quite surprised James (n James) havent found a supplier for 24v speedos yet, but hopefully they will in future.

have you thought about using the trigger mechansim that comes with the drills themselves?
the xu1 brand (dont think you can get that brand name over there but there all the same) has a microprocessor controlled type mechanism that also has 15amp current limiting in it.

i think price is the issuse there steve. Electronize are cheap and perform well. Your looking about 80 quid for a brand new pair, a IBC is 180quid and a Vantec RDFR23 works out about 230 quid. It all comes down to price.

ok got my parts from http://www.righton.co.ukwww.righton.co.uk .these people were very nice as they gave me alot of stuff. the stuff includes 3 1m x 700mm x 6mm poly carb , 3 1m x 700mm x 3mm Aluminium , 1m x 700mm x 5 mm of Alu checker plate and a mystery shee!! What is that mystery sheet you may ask well i did a lot of research before and i have never heard of this be for . its called DIBOND by Alcan Composites. it seems to be very light yet very strong for about 4mm thick.Its looks like its made of a mm of alu 2-3mm of ploycarb and then another mm of alu. does anyone know what this stuff is ??
