Sam,
Revolution 3 has a lovely disk, but never use it, and just play around with other things - just as much fun - only want to do a couple of full contacts a year, more than enough.
P.S. Best wishes + speedy recovery.
Jim,
Hope serrano is O.K., and only cosmeticaly damaged - Good to have been in ring with you.
P.S. Big Yellow Bot is quite descriptive though.
Roger.
Theres no such thing as a friendly competition, its either a competition, or its not.
If its a competition without spinners then so be it, but at least lets make that clear please.
As to how are my blisters ouch and ouch spring to mind
P.S Thanks for the thought :)
Sam
When asked by builders phoning Technobots about the future and especially where they can run their spinner, my response is that it is moving in that direction. Okay, not at every event but with the apparent demise of RW, the situation requires reviewing.
Many of our robots were designed for a once a year bash with spinners. I am now considering the next design of M2 with more consideration given to armour that has the potential to cope better with spinners on a more regular basis. After the recent concern over some (note some and not by a long way all) spinners continuing after immobilising their opponent, this has encouraged my change of view if you get my drift.

The flipper plates a write-off but everything else is OK, wed have driven out if the aerial hadnt fallen off. Unfortunately Big Yellow Bot doesnt fit in with the naming scheme, and youve got to have a system, as Harry Hill says.
Id likie to be part of the winter tour with my first ever robot the antweight Bite Me.
Didnt mean to pick a fight Sam. Everyone already knows our veiws. I do think that it is dissapointing for the orgainsers when they put on a full combat event and dont get as many distructive weapons as theyd like but then again you already know that. I think Ill just shut up now.
Just one more point. Doesnt really matter as we considered Preston a fun event but we were judged to have lost our first fight to Bulldog Bread. We had our Jaws inside both Bulldog bread and EWE2 during this fight and could have used our crusher but didnt. If we did we would have probably won as in a real competition we would not have let go so quickly. It may have been boaring to watch but we would have won (Maybe), So we let go quickly and continue with a more impressive looking fight.
Ill shut up now (honest) :)
*mum shouts in back ground* Its past your bed time.
We have never shunned fighting spinners but you do have to build for it !!I for one always have to know, whos the best no matter what the weapon,
but I have to concede fighting spinners regularly
has it down sides!!!!!!!!!,in fact spinners dont usually get the driving/fighting practise the rest of us do ,so there is a small advantage
for the rest of us,but it has to be said that it is er interesting when activate is called and a smoky
noisey,35kg 1500rpm disc driven by a petrol engine
heads your way with one thought in mind!!(tip!top)!!!!!!
brown adrenalin, and all that,
Tell me about it Tony
Still I think its well known that I consider the brown trousers situation to all be part and parcel of what we do.
Dont worry Mark, I wasnt taking offence.. Ive gone passed the stage of getting annoyed about this stuff and just accept that some people dont consider it part of the sport. I just think that should be a little clearer from the outset.
Anyway
Sam
We would like to come to this one with our hand full of feathers (thuggernought, pimpanought,BS and blackguard) and who knows the heavy may be ready by then.
