It won't rip itself apart thankyou very much. It will simply become a rather large kinetic energy helicopter and then bugger off into the stratosphere.
EDIT: just asking general opinion, what should I do with the bar? Polish or paint? I can't quite decide between matte black or shiny metal.
-
I'd personally polish it then put some stripes on there so it gets a cool pattern on it when it spins!
Failing that, I'd do the opposite of whatever you do with the machine itself, like if you leave it as bare aluminium, I'd paint the bar and vice versa
-
Matt black top and bottom surfaces, but leave the sides bare metal (similar to the new citroen alloys if u know what i mean).

Hmm, interesting ideas guys. In all honesty I should be worrying about it actually functioning than the look atm.
Also here is a comparison with last years bar. I like to think I've learned a bit from then.

Paint it black, with yellow striped about 2/3rds the way down. That will make the bar look invisible and appear smaller than it is when spinning so people drive into it more :)

What material is that bar? Looks like mild steel?
-
Hardox 450 i guess dave.
Laser cutted with Elli's discs.
-
Creusabro 8000. Similar to Hardox.

The yellow stripe makes it look like the blade is smaller if they're not at the very end. Makes people think there's more room between you and them.
