I actually think youve come along way building this spinner and you should try to perfect it before starting a new project
just my opinion :P

I actually think youve come along way building this spinner and you should try to perfect it before starting a new project
just my opinion :P
I agree with Martijn, really the stats were not that far off, just the basic flaws most vapourbots have when they start out.
Much better than my first one :P
thanks liam
Im in the process of redoing most of my squad, so could somebody just look over these few please?
Robot Name: Helix
Shape: Tornado (including the angled rear) with angled sides, skirts and a front wedge
Weight: 100kg
Length: 80cm
Width: 80cm
Height: 25cm
Motivation: 6 x vulcanised wheels
Power: 2 x LEM-130s at 36v, 18HP
Armour: 4mm hardox top, sides, front and rear, 5mm titanium skirts and 5mm aluminium base
Weaponry:
1) The front wedge is made of 4mm hardox and has a wedge extender for zero ground clearance at the front
2) A front 65cm long hardox axe, the head is shaped like Excalibur€™s from RW3 and it€™s on a rack and pinion system ala Killerhurtz. It is powered by a 80mm x 65mm ram at 1000psi from 2 x 3kg nitrogen bottles, the point is tungsten tipped and the underside serrated to really dig into opponents
3) There are two tungsten tipped hardox spikes on either end of the angled rear
4) The front wedge lifts up via 2 linear actuators, this is used to flip opponents and attack their base armour with the axe or to lift and then ram
Top Speed: 17mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all round due to wedge at front and skirts at sides and rear, but 20mm behind them, they are all joined together with tungsten hinges to make them extremely hard to break
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The axe is long enough to right it over the wedge
Colour: Black with some green and red
Strengths: Powerful axe and decent pushing power
Weaknesses: High GC behind the skirts
Notes: Plenty of shock-proofing
Robot Name: Sergeant Slaughter
Shape: Wedge
Weight: 100kg
Length: 90cm
Width: 80cm
Height: 30cm
Motivation: 4 x CNC Aluminium wheels with vulcanised tyres
Power: 2 x S28-400s at 24v, 9HP
Armour: 3.25mm hardox top, front, sides and rear, 5mm titanium skirts and 5mm aluminium base
Weaponry:
1) A rear horizontal spinning disc, 50 x 50cm in diameter, it is half inside the robot and half outside, it has two large tungsten tipped teeth welded onto the disc and curved to rip, it is powered by a LEM-130 at 36v, providing 67Kj per hit when at 3000rpm, it weighs about 25kg
2) A Razer style crushing arm on the front, powered by the disc€™s kinetic energy, it is very jagged so when it pierces the opponents armour it holds on and can lift the opponent into the air with no danger of them falling off, it is powerful enough to pierce hardox, the point is tungsten tipped and the underside is serrated, there are lots of holes in it to keep the weight down. Because it is powered by kinetic energy and not hydraulics it will be fast as well
3) No exactly a weapon as such, but there is a small hole just above the point of the crusher from which there comes a spike, powered by a car spring which is rewound by a 12v cordless drill motor at 19.6v, it is used to knock robots off the crusher and into the pit
4) There are two sets of Mute-style barbs on the wedge to trap opponents under the crusher
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 at sides and front due to the wedge at the front and the skirts at the sides, but it is 8mm at the rear and behind the skirts
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: There is a long bar on the back of the crusher to allow that to right it, it cannot be stranded because of the skirts, disc and crusher
Colour: Blood red, with green/yellow diagonally striped skirts and a dark blue disc
Strengths: Powerful and unique weaponry
Weaknesses: Armour not the strongest
Notes: Plenty of shock-proofing to protect from its own and other spinners
Robot Name: S.M.R.O.D
Shape: Cylinder
Weight: 100kg
Length: 85cm
Width: 85cm
Height: 20cm
Motivation: 8 x small wheels like Big Nipper, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom, coated in vulkalon for grip
Power: 4 x S28-400 magmotors at 24v, 18HP
Armour: 1.905 grade 5 titanium for the ring, 5mm titanium on top and bottom
Weaponry:
1) The ring spins via 2 x S28-400s at 24v. It can reach it€™s optimum speed of 1500rpm in 3 seconds, and can deliver a 50Kj hit with the 2 tungsten tipped hardox teeth, curved to rip through armour and placed adjacent to each other
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 due to a 5mm titanium skirt all the way around, the blades reach out further than the skirt so that it doesn€™t get in the way
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Invertible
Colour: Dark purple with red eyes on top
Strengths: Powerful weaponry, wheels cannot be hit by axes
Weaknesses: Skirt will rise when the ring spins due to gyroscopic forces
Notes: The name stands for Spinning Massacre Ring Of Destruction, and it€™s supposed to be a bit hard to pronounce, it has plenty of shock proofing to protect from its own and other spinners
Robot Name: Flail
Shape: Cylinder
Weight: 100kg
Length: 85cm
Width: 85cm
Height: 15cm
Motivation: 4 x vulcanised wheels
Power: 2 x S28-400s at 24v, 9HP
Armour: 4mm hardox all over apart from the base (5mm aluminium), top (5mm titanium) and the skirts (5mm titanium)
Weaponry:
1) The top armour panel spins around, via 2 LEM-130s at 36v; it can reach a maximum of 3000rpm, and has two maces attached by very tough steel cables. Each mace has tungsten tipped curved spikes and weighs 10kg, so when they hit they deal out about 65Kj of energy
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all around due to a skirt, but 8mm behind that skirt
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Out of a hole in the top panel there shoots a spike, powered by a 2kg co2 bottle at 150psi, enough to right the robot 15-20 times per match
Colour: Red, with green and yellow Hypno-Disc style swirls on top
Strengths: Powerful weaponry
Weaknesses: Could be pants
Notes: Has plenty of shock-proofing to protect from its own and other spinners
Robot Name: Buzz
Shape: Half-dome, with the missing side being flat and the front
Weight: 100kg
Length: 80cm
Width: 75cm
Height: 20cm
Motivation: 2 x vulcanised internally mounted go-kart wheels
Power: 2 x LEM-130s at 36v
Armour: 4mm hardox all over except for base, 6mm titanium
Weaponry:
1) Large front horizontal claws, when open there is 100cm between them, and they close completely via hydraulics from a vivoil pump at 3000psi, the points are tungsten tipped and they are serrated and drilled with speed holes, they are made of hardox
2) They claws are joined to a rear hinged arm powered by a linear actuator, this hardox arm is hinged at the very back of the robot, the idea is to grab hold and then lift into the air or just grab hold to cause damage
3) Between the front claws there is a small X-Terminator style scoop, made of 1cm titanium and just low enough so that it doesn€™t get in the way
Top Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 at the front due to the scoop, 8mm everywhere else
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The arm can right the robot in less than a second
Colour: Black and yellow bumblebee-style bodywork with the name painted in gold on top and blood stained claws
Strengths: Effective weaponry, especially when there is a pit
Weaknesses: High ground clearance
Notes: Hatchet has become a bumblebee! Also it has plenty of shockproofing on board
Robot Name: Duncan
Shape: Octagon, with sloped sides and a large tyre around the outside
Weight: 100kg
Length: 85cm
Width: 85cm
Height: 25cm
Motivation: 2 x internal vulcanised go-kart style wheels
Power: 2 x S28-400s at 24v, 9HP
Armour: 4mm hardox all over the top, front, sides and rear, 7mm HDPE base, 5mm titanium skirts
Weaponry:
1) An 11kg tungsten hammer, powered by a LEM-200 at 60v to give it excellent speed and to produce 3Kj per hit, possibly hitting up to three times per second. To counter the forces of the hammer there is a vacuum device on the bottom of the robot that sucks it to the floor, that is also useful against rammers, it can be turned on and off during the match
2) The tyre around the robot protects from spinners, also there are two static double headed hardox tungsten tipped pick axes placed adjacent to each other on the sides of the tyre, this allows the robot to use its two wheel drive and spin on the spot, functioning as a thwackbot, each hit can deliver about 30Kj
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all the way around due to skirts, 10mm behind that
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The hammer will always right the robot
Colour: Gold hammer, red bodywork, blue tyre, silver pick axes
Strengths: Powerful hammer
Weaknesses: Weak-ish base armour
Notes: The successor to my previous robots Henry VIII and Bloody Mary, Duncan was the Scottish king murdered by Macbeth in the Shakespeare play, also has plenty of shockproofing
Helix: Not at all bad, no problems that I can see after a quick check, looks pretty close to the weight limit.
Sgt. Slaughter: I think someone else more experienced than me would have to tell whether the weaponry was feasible, and it might be pushing the weight limit slightly, but otherwise alright.
SMROD: Looks a bit like a Paul machine to me :proud: The tungsten teeth would just rip off on impact, I remember reading Tip-Top had tungsten carbide teeth on its disc at the qualifiers, and they all just broke on impact. I reckon the Hardox teeth alone would be enough to cause damage...but other than that, no problems.
Flail: Looks like Mauler...no major problems, perhaps a bit overweight but not excessively so.
Buzz: Nothing wrong.
Duncan: Not sure if HDPE would be an adequate base if you were attaching components to it; if its just armouring then it would be fine, but thats nitpicking slightly. Otherwise okay.
All looking very good, I must say :)
Diolch yn Fawr Iawn!:)
Thats welsh for thankyou very much by the way:proud:
Uh...Llanelli Blodwyn Laurencellewynbowen Brianblessed?
(youre welcome :proud:)
LOL
Er.. I mean LloLl:proud:
(Thats a string of place names and people names you have there)
O Ryan Giggs Cardiff!
Caerdydd, Martijn, Caerdydd
In welsh we even speak our own place names differently:proud:
E.g welsh in welsh=cymraeg
Ryan Giggs is still Ryan Giggs right?:P
So...does this apply for Ryan Giggs then? Is he Dyvyng Wankyr or something? :proud:
Were welsh you muppets, not depressed mun:mrgreen:
You sad lot :proud:
I think i will increse the arm size on Twister Evo
To 50CM
LOL @ Joey
These robots do not need to be checked, but I am claering out my space on ZED to get all my new (and some old) stats in. These robots have already been entered into tournies, but their stats will be deleted off ZED so I need a place to keep them for a while... sorry.
Systematic Shocker
Shape: Invertible box
Weight: 110kg with setups 1, 2 and 3, 100kg with setups 4, 5 and 6
Dimensions: 80 x 100 x 30
Motivation: 2 x titanium tank tracks, protected from the side and vulkanised
Power: 2 x LEM-200 magmotors running at 60v
Armour: 4mm hardox, skirts are 5mm titanium
Weaponry: Interchangeable:
1)3mm hardox front wedge which can lift 200kg, powered by 1 x LEM-130 at 36v.
2)2 x 30cm long tungsten tipped hardox lifting spikes, powered by 1 x LEM-130 at 36v, can lift up and down to work both ways up, and can be fixed at middle point to work as ramming spikes
3)A hardox drum, with 8 pussycat style teeth, powered by a LEM-130 at 36v, it spins upwards to flip as well as rip. There is also a 3.25mm hardox scoop underneath the drum to give it 0 ground clearance
4)The wedge from setup one, but static. This gets the weight down to 100kg and gets around any 100kg for tracks rules.
5)8 x tungsten tipped hardox ramming spikes, 4 in a bottom row and 4 in the top row
6)Vertical Tornado-style disc, spun upwards at 1500rpm by an S28-150 magmotor at 24v
Top Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 due to wedge and skirts, 8mm behind them
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Invertible
Colour: Red with the name painted on top in green.
Strengths: Interchangeable weaponry, loads of HP
Weaknesses: Tracks exposed from above.
Former Incarnations: System Shock
Bio: Everyone needs a rammer, and this one has tracks for extra grip. System Shock had a static scoop and used 4 LEMs at 36v to shove opponents around, but once inverted it proved pretty useless, so the update was given interchangeable weaponry.
Topsy Turvy
Shape: Cylinder with a blade on top
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 20
Motivation: 4 x vulkalon tyres
Power: 2 x S28-400 magmotors
Armour: 4mm hardox sides, 5mm titanium top, base and skirts
Weaponry: A 90cm long, 5cm wide hardox blade bent at either end to get the ends closer to the ground. This gets the axeheads (see next sentence) just 2cm away from the ground On each end there is a tungsten tipped axehead. The blade is powered by 2 x LEM-130s at 36v, and spins at 3000rpm allowing about 100Kj of energy per hit.
Those axeheads are the primary weapon choice. If I do not specify a change those are what will be used, but they can be swapped for:
a) 2 x 5kg hardox hammers
b) Lox hardox wedges that allow it to flip opponents with high ground clearance
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 due to skirts, but 8mm behind them
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Vlad the Impaler style top bar that shoots out of the robot, powered by 2 linear actuators here to right it in about1.5 seconds.
Colour: Black body, red blade with the name painted in gold on the blade. The skirts are dark blue
Strengths: Powerful weaponry
Weaknesses: Could be pushed around
LockJaw Epidemic
Shape: Axlebot like Stinger, but with a scoop in the middle. On each side of the wedge, in between the scoop and the wheel there is a vertical claw.
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 55 x 90 x 60
Motivation: 2 x go-kart wheels
Power: 2 x LEM-130s at 36v
Armour: 4mm hardox wheel hubs and claw, 5mm titanium skirts and 1mm titanium scoop
Weaponry:
1) The scoop in the middle. It is like that of X-Terminator, but curved over at the top so it works inverted.
2) The claws. These are powered by Litton motors, like Crushtaceans, and have serrated edges and speed holes drilled in them
The claws reach out just slightly farther than the scoop, so they will catch an opponent as well as get underneath to beach the opponent.
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at the front due to the scoop and claws, and 0 at the back and sides due to the skirts. The rear skirt is hinged in the middle, so it flops over when inverted and it is joined to the back of the scoop. The side skirts are also invertible, and they are joined to the rear skirt with hardox hinges and to the side of the axle.
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Invertible. The weapon works the same both ways up as well
Strengths: Hard to attack
Weaknesses: Flippable from the sides
Collateral Damage-ier
Shape: Box wedge
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 75 x 75 x 20
Motivation: 6 x vulkanised tyres, but with the 4 rear ones on the ground all the time. The front 2 are slightly raised, so that manueouvrability is better, but if I lift or push (or get pushed) the front wheels will come down to give better traction.
Power: 4 x LEM-130s at 36v
Armour: 4mm hardox on top, front, sides and rear, 5mm aluminium base and 5mm titanium skirts
Weaponry: A rear hinged arm, that runs for the full length of the robot, but doesnt touch the floor like a lifter would. It is raised to an almost vertical position by 2 linear actuators. The arm itself doesnt touch the floor, but these interchangeable options do attached to the end of the arm do:
1) A hardox, tungsten tipped spike, I have a spring inside the arm and a catch to release the spike, and then a 12v cordless drill at 19.6v to wind it back in
2) The forks from the first robot, Hydraulic Panic-Attack style lifting forks, two main forks in the middle and two smaller prongs on either side, using an 80mm bore ram with 40mm stroke and using a vivoil pump. This setup works a but like Voltronic, as it lifts with both the arm and the forks, but as the forks are 40cm long it can lift much higher and easily flip if I want to.
3) The simplest of setups, a 10mm hardox wedge. The wedge itself is static, but the arm turns it into a lifter. It is mainly used against spinners, to defend from the blows.
4) A vertical claw, made of hardox and drilled full of speed holes. It is powered by the same hydraulic system as the forks and has serrated edges. The idea is to grip/crush and then lift the opponent with the arm.
Also the robot still has the mute style barbs on top, these are present in all setups.
Top Speed: 22mph
Ground Clearance: 10mm behind skirts, but effectively 0 due to weapon at front and skirts on sides and rear
Turning Circle: 0
Colour: Black with the name painted in red on top. The arm and skirts are diagonally striped red, yellow and black.
Srimech: The arm
Strengths: Interchangeable weaponry, barbs on top, good pusher
Weaknesses: Maybe too fast to control easily
Bloody Mary
Shape: Cylinder
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 25
Motivation: 4 x vulkalon tyres
Power: 2 x S28-400 magmotors at 24v
Armour: 4mm hardox top and 1.905cm grade 5 titanium for the ring
Weaponry:1) A pick axe with tungsten tipped heads, ona rack and pinion system like Terrorhurtz. Powered by a 2kg main bottle and 1kg buffer tank at 160psi, it has a 80mm x 20mm ram
2) The outer ring spins at 1500rpm, powered by an S28-400 magmotor at 24v, it can dish out about 35 Kj of energy with each hit
Top Speed: 18mph
Ground Clearance: 6mm all around
Turning Circle: 0
Colour: Red ring and top, gold axe
Strengths: Variety of weaponry
Weaknesses: High ground clearance
Hatchet: Evo
Shape: T shaped, the horizontal line being the front with a T-shaped tail
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 130 x 100 x 30
Motivation: 2 x go-kart wheels
Power: 2 x BFA-42s at 60v
Armour: 4mm hardox
Weaponry: 1) Horizontal crushing claws, like that of Kan Opener, powered by Litton motors and tungsten tipped with serrated edges. 115cm wide, and there are two 1mm titanium plows between them- one below and an inverted one above. This makes it almost impossible for robots to get under from the front.
2) 50cm long 3cm wide hardox tail with two tungsten tipped spikes facing in opposite directions (T shaped), when the robot spins this can deliver a 65Kj blow.
Top Speed: 25mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plows, 6mm behind those and everywhere else
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Invertible
Colour: Gold with name painted in red on top
Strengths: Lots of HP, Mulitple weaponry
Weaknesses: Can only spin on the spot
Apocalypse
Shape: A Bulldog Breed-style wedge with rounded rear and sides
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 75 x 75 x 20
Motivation: 6 x vulkalon tyres
Power: 2 x BFA-42s at 36v
Armour: 4mm ahrdox top, front, sides and rear, 4mm titanium base
Weaponry: The whole front wedge is a rear hinged flipper, powered by 2 x 750psi 100m rams from 2 x 2kg co2 bottles.
It can now flip 100kg opponents about 8 feet in the air!
Top Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to flipper and 0 at sides and rear due to skirts
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The flipper can spring he robot into the air and onto its wheels, it has rounded sides to prevent it getting beached
Colour: Dark blue, with the name painted in red on the back and a fist on the right side of the wedge
Strengths: Fast and strong, powerful flipper
Weaknesses: Base armour not very strong
Notes: There Mute-style barbs on the sides of the wedge so if robots drive up the side they get stuck
War Drum
Shape: Box with a rear wedge
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 25
Motivation: 4 x vulkalon tyres
Power: 2 x S28-400 magmotors at 24v
Armour: 4mm hardox
Weaponry: Vertically spinning hardox drum, situated at the front of the robot. It is powered by a Briggs and Stratton E-Tek at 48v, and dishes out about 100Kj per hit when spinning at 3000rpm.
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 10mm on front and sides, 0 at rear due to wedge, but there are 5mm titanium skirts on the sides that make it 0
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Rear hinged arm, runs down the wedge and for the full length of the robot. It is powered by a 3kg co2 bottle and a 100m ram at 250psi. It can right itself about 40 times, and can also be used as an offensive weapon because of the wedge.
Colour: Red drum, black body, gold flipper, black and yellow diagonally striped skirts
Strengths: Powerful weaponry
Weaknesses:High ground clearance at the front
Notes: A complete re-design, but with the same name. War Drum used to be am invertible reverse wedge.
Lupin
Shape: Box wedge, similar to Atmic II as it was in RW7
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 90 x 90 x 30
Motivation: 2 x internal go-kart wheels, coated with vulkalon for grip
Power: 2 x LEM-130s at 36v
Armour: 1cm titanium scoop/flipper, 3.25mm hardox front, sides, top and rear, 4mm 7075 hi-grade aluminium base
Weaponry:
1) At the front there is a large shallow bucket scoop, with a Firestorm-style balde at the bottom to give it 0 ground clearance. The flipper is actually two rear-hinged arms on either side of the top of the robot, but they are welded onto the back of the scoop, so that gets underneath opponents for them to be flipped. The flipper is powered by 2 x 75mm 500psi rams from 2 x 2kg co2 bottles.
2) Embedded in the middle of the scoop there is a pussycat style blade, spun at 1500rpm by an S28-400 magmotor. This is designed to slice tyres or go through weak base armour.
Top Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at the front due to scoop, 0 at sides and rear due to 5mm titanium skirts, but 10mm behind all those
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The flipper
Colour: Black body work, and a red scoop with the name painted in silver on top. The skirts are yellow
Strengths: Powerful weaponry
Weaknesses: Weak-ish base armour
Gulp
Shape: Tank
Weight: 110kg
Dimensions: 95 x 70 x 45
Motivation: 2 x steel tank tracks
Power: 4 x S28-400 magmotors running at 24v, 24HP
Armour: 4mm hardox on front, rear, sides and top, 5mm titanium skirts, 4mm 7075 aluminium base
Weaponry: Tazbot-style 360 degree turret with hardox lifting arm. The turret is spun by 1 x LEM-130 magmotor giving it reasonable effect when spun like a spinner. The arm€™s lift/crush capabilities are powered by another LEM-130 running at 36v should lift/crush with 200kg of force. I don€™t expect it to crush through hard armour, but it should be enough to stop an opponent self-righting. At the bottom of the 50cm long arm there are two tungsten tipped spikes facing in different directions.
The lifting arm can now be swapped for a pick axe, powered and constructed the same. Both points are tungsetn tipped.
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all round due to skirts, 6mm behind the skirts
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The arm can right the robot in any direction due to it being turret mounted
Colour: Camouflage
Strengths: 360 degree weapon/self-righting, multiple attack methods with one weapon (flip/crush/spin), now has interchangable weaponry
Weaknesses: Weak base armour and fairly weak top armour
Bio: The whole point of Gulp was to have 360 degrees of attack, and the question was how. I looked at Tazbot, and so that its lack of skirts and awkward shape meant it never got the nut, and so Gulp was born! A few months after its birth, I have given this robot a pick axe to use as interchangeable weaponry.
Systematic Shocker
Shape: Invertible box
Weight: 110kg with setups 1, 2 and 3, 100kg with setups 4, 5 and 6
Dimensions: 80 x 100 x 30

Brutalis 2.0
Shape: Like Dantomkia, but lower and heavier at the front to prevent wheelying.
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 90 x 90 x 25
Motivation: 2 x vulkalon tyres
Power: 2 x LEM-130s running at 36v, 18HP
Armour: 4mm hardox on top, rear, front and sides, 4mm 7075 hi-grade aluminium base and 5mm titanium skirts
Weaponry: 250psi front hinged flipper running off 1 x 100m ram powered by 2 x 2kg co2 bottles. Will get about 35-40 flips per fight and can throw 500kg. It also has a rear exntension, essentially a T-Minus style tongue on the back of the flipper so that it can act as a rear hinged flipper from the back. Also there are 3 lines Mute-style barbs along the top, two on either side and 1 on the flipper
Top Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all round due to skirts on sides and rear and wedge at front, 6mm behind them.
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The flipper will easily spring the robot back onto its wheels.
Colour: Black, red flipper and yellow skirts.
Strengths: Strange shape, hard to flip
Weaknesses: Flipper not extremely powerful by vapour standards.
Former Incarnations: Brutalis 1.0, Brutalis 1.5
Bio: Brutalis 1.0 was my first ever vapour, essentially a more powerful Dantomkia with a nitrogen flipper. Brutalis 1.5 added a scoop, but it was no.2.0 that went front hinged and LEMs
SLAM! (SHW)
Shape: Box wedge, ala Storm II
Weight: 154kg
Dimensions: 100 x 100 x 35
Motivation: 6 x vulkanised wheels
Power: 4 x B42-500s at 60v, 120HP!
Armour: 6mm hardox top, 4mm hardox, front, rear, sides and 5mm titanium skirts, 5mm aluminium base
Weaponry:
1)Full Body Hammer/Rammer, like Storm II (but with almost 11 times the power )
2)Linear actuator powered 4 bar lifting arm, rear hinged
Top Speed: 30mph
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 at front, rear and sides due to skirts and wedge, 20mm behind skirts/wedge and at rear
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: Lifter
Colour: Black with the name painted in white on top

*looks at it*
I assume you want me to check it as well?
...ffffff>-2>yes
:P
Nothing wrong with it, although you might have to explain the arches further.
Given Tri-Tainiums awful performance in its past tournuments, I was thinking of improvements I could make to stop it from being so bad.
Maybe Kody might like to do a render of this...along with some of the other renders I asked if he would do
TRI-TAINIUM
€ WEIGHT: 100kg
€ ARMOUR: 4mm Hardox for the back/scoop. The top and bottom panels are 5mm Titanium and the sloped sides are 6mm Hardox to sheild the wheels. At the front there is 4cm of Vulkanised Rubber to prevent hits from its own weapons, as well as other weapons, and on the sides and top, theres 1 inch of PU foam.
€ SHAPE: Low invertible box with a 42* front scoop (the scoop has a slight dip in it (set at 20*) to help get under other robots better) and 45* sloped sides and rear.
€ MOTORS: 2 x LEM 130€™s at 36V = 18HP
€ LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels.
€ DIMENSIONS: (L) 85CM (H) 25CM (W) 80CM
€ COLOUR: Unpainted, with the exception of the name on top written in black paint and the discs and their teeth coloured black as well.
€ WEAPONRY: The weaponry consists of 3 x 9kg discs, 230mm in diameter, with the teeth made out of 1cm of Titanium with 3 Hardox bludgening teeth with spikes on them, shaped to rip and flip (TT). The discs are set on the same axle, and amounted 6cm into the scoop, with the teeth just reaching UNDER the lip of the scoop (4mm), so the uppercut movement of the discs can attack base-panels and the like. The discs are powered by 2 x LEM130s at 36V. Set on a ratio of 1.5:1, it gives off 3600rpm. One disc is 55kj. The discs, combined together make 27kg, so the force given out is 165kj per hit! The large amounts of Rubber amounted behind the scoop stops the risk of self-destruction.
€ SPEED: 20mph
€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM-1CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the sides/rear, its 0-1cm. On the sides and rear now are 4mm Titanium, and held on by Hardox hindges. The skirts join up at the corners of the robot and also are held down by Vulkanised rubber so theyre less likely to lift up.
€ STRENGTH: Weaponry.
€ WEAKNESS: No weaponry reversal if turned over.
In addition Liam, that looks a very nice upgrade of System Shock :proud:

Id like to see how you can get all that in those dimensions. :P
The teeth are made of Ti, and have additional Hardox teeth on them...
...what is the actual disc made of, Explodium?
No - the teeth are made of Hardox, and the discs are Titanium.

Thank you Paul:)
And if I could just take this opportunity to say that be careful with Knyfe. You often say that none of your vapours have won heats, but I know that Knyfe is a potential winner big time. You have a really good robot on your hands here, but in RS!! Heat B you chose comletely the wrong setup to fight SGO, and Daniel himself said it. The ramming spikes did nothing, but the hinged spikes or wedge could have possibly defeated SGOs skirts and then the vacuum device would have been useless, allowing you to pit him. Im not criticising, just giving an opinion on a great robot that missed a good opportunity, but there could be plenty more in the future:)
I agree with you completely Liam that often my tactics are bad. This is because I base them off figures - a bad idea, as figures help, but they arent ultra-important. I made a simillar mistake against Back To Rock III when it took on WORCK-ER. I didnt look at what may happen in the fight, I looked at Simillar hp amounts, Ive got the better weapon - Ill win. Deffo the wrong approach.
I agree completely Liam. The plan was to impale the spikes through the Lexiguard and keep him in front of me and make him easier to pit.
What happened was I implaed him at an angle, so he could pit me. Looking back it was a silly choice of weapon, because I was think in statical terms of judging the stats, and I thought Lexiguard armour - Ill pierce it no issue, and I was right on that, but it was the wrong approach, and I shouldve used a scooping weapon. Next time, I intend to use tactical and lateral thinking, of not just thinking of the pluses of one weapon.
In addition Liam, can I change Nitro-Gene 4.0 in your competition for Nitro-Gene 5.0? Like you did for Super Gore Revo :proud:
Who knows - maybe thatll do quite well. And in your tourny, Ive got some more robots left over, so maybe Ill do well with them.

perhaps Kody has anything to say on this?
Ahem...
+2>Id like to see how you can get all that in those dimensions. :P
WELL???
Paul, dont dodge questions :P

odd... Paul never ignores posts...
Sorry - I wes busy answering to Liams post, and here we go:
€ DIMENSIONS: (L) 80CM (H) 28CM (W) 70CM
Is this fine now?
Youve been ignoring my post for a while. :P And...WHYD YOU MAKE IT SMALLER?!? :S
Also, Liam used Super Gore EVO in RS2, not Revo. :P
(Message edited by kodster on July 11, 2008)
Thats smaller :P
Paul, save for the height you actually made it smaller XD
+2>FF00FF>PAUL, WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU MAKE IT SMALLER? MAKE IT BIGGER, PLEASE.
ffffff>Ignore that. :P
€ DIMENSIONS: (L) 90CM (H) 25CM (W) 90CM
As for making it smaller, that was randomness :proud:
