12/13th July 2008 - Roaming Robots - Royal International Air
As Alex says, all the information on robots on the RR database is provided by the teams themselves. Some robots admittedly dont have all the fields filled in and it would be good if the teams could do so, because it would keep everything on the database accurate, full and up-to-date.
Paul, one reason theres no need to be so specific with database stats as in fanfic is that these robots are real. Fanfic writers rely on so much information so that they can get an accurate idea of how the robot will perform, its potential flaws and pitfalls and to generally gain a idea of how the robot looks (often aided by some awesome renders guys :)) Real robots dont have writers describing their battles, they actually compete, so any pitfalls and flaws in the design will become apparent in battle and can been seen and watched by people, therefore less detail is required as everything is played out in real life

I was going to say that in a more condensed fashion :proud:
Bit unfortunate there, my two tips to win the championship coming up against each other :P but given this latest info, I think Iron Awe will win...best of luck to both teams though. :)

Well done to the iron awe crew, both their robots have been outstanding this event.
Great thank you to roaming robots and I will be there next year to take the title to Holland and Belgium. :)

Wasnt that the intention this year as well, Leo? :proud:
Congratulations to Iron Awe then, its done well over the past few months and is very deserving of the title, in my opinion...and congratulations as well to Jonno for sorting the event out when a few days ago it wasnt looking like it was going to happen, so credit is due there. :)

If this is being released on DVD, Leo has spoilt it for all of us  Mind you, posting the results of last year up spoilt it as well, but what the hey? Ill still buy it :proud:
And well done to Iron-Awe, in winning, and in getting one over Big Nipper at last

If this is being released on DVD, the results would have been published on the RR website anyway before its release, so the chances of getting a hold of the DVD and not finding out who won until you watched it are slim.
Its somewhat of a procedure with live events that the winners get announced in the threads shortly after happening; its happened for the past two years with the UK champs, and with just about every other live event run in this country. Leo just happens to be the first person who knows the result to get online; if he hadnt mentioned it, someone else would.
Oh, and well done Iron Awe!! :)
