You will never get 2 eteks and gearboxes for 6 wheels and 4 Hawkers in a 17 x 50 x 33cm space.
For reference, type into google: 17cm to feet
Then you will see how small that really is.

or cm to inch or inch to cm or feet to cm.
Google will calculate the right conversion for you.
And if youre feeling too lazy, 17cm = 6.8 inches. :proud:
Etek = 8 inch diameter = motors poking out top of robot = ideal target for axes/crushers :)
Intriguing is feeling hungry... :)
Okay Paul, Ive decided to change your stats myself because you WONT. :P Youll find that very little is changed.
NITRO-GENE 5.0
€ WEIGHT: 100kg
€ ARMOUR: 5mm Hardox monocoque for the body. 4mm Hardox flipper. Inside the body, there€™s 1cm of Vulkanised rubber on the sides and rear, with 3cm on the front to help fight powerful spinners, and theres also 7cm of PU foam covering the motors and flipper rams inside for protection.
€ SHAPE: Low invertible box with prism-esque sides and rear (Like a / shape rotated 90 degrees). At the front is a 42* wedge to aid in getting underneath other robots and deflecting hits from strong spinners. All the lines have been curved over to make it harder for a spinner to grab onto a panel and rip.
€ MOTORS: 2 x LEM 130€™s at 36V = 18HP
€ LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels, 160mm in diameter and 60mm in width, maximising traction with 4 wheels.
€ DIMENSIONS: (L) 85CM (H) 15CM (W) 80CM
€ COLOUR: Dark red all over with the flipper coloured dark blue with the name imblazed on the flipper (running withways on the front) in gold writing with a thick silver outline. All the edges of the robot are coloured silver.
€ WEAPONRY: A full pressure Nitrogen powered flipper at 1000psi, using a single 100mm ram at 1000psi. The flipper is mounted in the middle of the robot, and is 20cm wide and runs 60cm up the body. Using a 8cm long 10mm thick Titanium wedge underneath the flipper, and a heavy flipping arm, the flipper runs completely along the ground. Running on a ratio 2.1:1, the flipper produces 1700kg of force at the tips, allowing me to launch anyone away! This version has enough lift to get a robot of equal size 11-7ft into the air, and throw it 11-7ft along. This version has 2 x 3kg Nitrogen bottles, giving me 25 flips! The flipper has enough power to self-right Nitro-Gene in a super stylish 540* somersault!
€ SPEED: 22mph
€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM-1CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the sides/rear, its 2cm. The orginal weakness of Nitro-Gene (its high ground clearance) has been seen to by the skirts on the sides/rear. They are 7mm Titanium skirts and are joined together like BioHazard - at the corners - to make in near impossible for anything to get under them. To avoid them breaking off, they are held in place by 4mm Hardox hinges.
€ STRENGTH: Pushing power and weaponry.
€ WEAKNESS: High ground clearance under skirts.
I think Ive already said Paul should loose one of the bottles or raise the robot, you cant get that all to fit in a small space like that.
Hang on Kody, Ive just posted those changes up! But if its all cushty and fine, Ill go with Leos advice and make the height 20cm, and the wheels will then be 220mm in diameter.
Paul the version currently on ZED has 4 LEMs, while Kodys in-weight version has 2.
Good. Im glad your taking the suggestions Paul, it is now in weight. :)
Actually, how much power would the most powerful MagMotor produce at 48V or 36V, and how much does it weigh?
Is it ok if I interrupt this conversation and post a new vapour?
Axetra
Weight: 100kg
Shape: Box with sloped sides, skirts and a Firestorm-style Low Front Wedge
Dimensions: 97 X 83 X 42
Armour: 3.6mm Hardox
Power: 4 X 36v NiCad BattlePacks
Drive: 2 X S28-400s
Ground Clearence: 6mm without skirts and 0mm with skirts
Top Speed: 15 mph
Turning Circle: (Seriously, does this need to be here?) Zero
Weapon: A great big 200PSI 9kg axe powered by the same system that Terrorhurtz uses, capable of dishing out 1000kg of raw force, diamond coated blade to maximize damage. Can dent hardox easily.
Srimech: Axe, Round back and sloped sides prevent it from getting beached
Strengths: Can still push if axe fails, Can cause a lot of damage
Weaknesses: Only limited to 50 hits
hey guys im making a vapour (stat) but it will take a while i have to figure it out like dimension etc u wont be disapointed :proud:
Presenting a cluster of otherweights:
Drive (SHW)
WEIGHT: 145kgs
DIMENSIONS: 125 x 120 x 9 cm
SHAPE: A very low box, with the sides sloped inwards towards the front so its more of a trapezium shape, with wedged sides and rear. At the front is a 4mm Hardox wedge, which is hinged so it flops over when inverted.
COLOUR: The top half is grey, and the bottom half black.
DRIVE 8 (yes, 8) S28-400 Magmotors running from 12 NiMh packs at 36v, two motors driving each of four 100mm wheels with urethane rubber treads for grip. The wheels are situated at the back and middle of the robot, with castors at the front, which gives it much better maneuvrability.
SPEED: 12mph average, 20mph max
GROUND CLEARANCE: 5mm, except the front which is 0
ARMOUR: 3.25mm Hardox on the top and bottom, with the remainder (front, sides, rear) being a continuous 10mm Ti welded plate, which acts as part of the chassis as well.
WEAPONS: The front has two hardened S7 tool steel spikes at either side of the wedge, these spikes angle slightly downwards to dig into other wedges, and are very sharp. No active weaponry - this is a pure pusher.
SRIMECH: Invertible. The sloped sides prevent it resting there.
NOTES: Very heavily shockproofed, with the top armour, motors, batteries and electronics shock mounted to reduce impacts. Has a pair of very bright white LED headlights at the front, just below the spikes.
STRENGTHS: Good armour, very good pushing power and maneuvrability
WEAKNESSES: No active weaponry
Picus (FW)
WEIGHT: 13.6kgs
DIMENSIONS: 40 x 40 x 18 cm
SHAPE: Like WYSIWYG from S1: A box with a shallow front wedge and a steep rear wedge, but external tracks partially covered (like the S1 Mortis)
COLOUR: Powder coated white, with name on front in unpainted silver
DRIVE: 2 Asroflight Cobalt 90s driving steel conveyor chain tracks (with urethane rubber bonded to every fourth tread for some grip) from four NiMh battery packs
SPEED: 7mph
GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at front, 0 at sides due to tracks, about 7mm at rear
ARMOUR: 4mm aluminium welded shell over a steel frame, the front wedge is reinforced with 3.2mm Hardox
WEAPONS: None, primarily a pusher
SRIMECH: Invertible - two spikes stop it being stranded on its side
NOTES: Components are shockproofed to withstand things.
STRENGTHS: Lots of power and traction, tough armoured front
WEAKNESSES: Tracks vulnerable to very low spinners, ineffective when inverted
Eye Of Ran (AW version)
WEIGHT: 150g ish (I can throw together a weight calc if you like)
DIMENSIONS: 100 x 80 x 18 mm
SHAPE: A cuboid wider than it is long with a wedge at the back, extending from this cuboid is a long bar, at the end of which is the weapon motor (pic available if this is too difficult to understand, this seems to happen a lot with my designs)
COLOUR: Mostly fantasy artwork, generally blue and green with some gold. The blade is mostly unpainted with viridian tips.
DRIVE: 2 Sanyo 50:1 micro motors driven by a Sabertooth 2x5a controller, driving 2 rear semi-protected rubber tyred wheels, run at 11.1v off a 3 cell lithium polymer pack
SPEED: Medium fast
GROUND CLEARANCE: Blade is about 1-2mm off the ground, all around the rest is quite high except the rear wedge which is 0
ARMOUR: Top plate is a single piece of 3mm polycarb, reinforced with struts of balsa wood to counter the forces of the weapon. The rear wedge is 1mm polycarb covered in spring steel to make it low to the ground, and everything else is either held in with screws or taped to the underside of the top.
WEAPONS: A 65 x 15 x 4 mm undercutting titanium blade, which weighs 30g and is driven by a brushless outrunner motor rated at 20000rpm, with the ends curved into hooks to catch and rip the opposition. The blade protects the front of the robot and the vast majority of the sides as well, and packs a punch of...well, it doesnt particuarly matter in antweights :P It is kept from hitting the ground by a tiny piece of polypropylene in the bottom of the motor.
SRIMECH: Invertible, the odd shape and weapon should prvent it resting on its sides (it doesnt really have any sides anyway)
NOTES: Uses Spektrum radio to prevent it jittering or going out of control.
STRENGTHS: Weaponry, good drive and pushing power
WEAKNESSES: Newtonian physics
hey guys pls check out my new vapour (stat)
Name: Revenge of the Zombie 2
Shape: Cross shape box with rounded back and has 4 TI spikes on robot 2 in the middle of robot and the other 2 on the back for ramming
Speed: 20MPH
Weight:220lb (100KG)
Armour: 5mm Titanium
Chassis: Titanium
Drive Motor: 2 x LEM130 Lynch Motor
Power: 4 x 30cell 36v 3Ah Sanyo NiCad Packs
Motivation: 4 Nightmare style tires w/ welded TI spikes
Turning Circle: 0
Dimension in CM (Length x Wide x Height)Unknown
Weaponry: Bulldozer blade on the front made out of Titanium w/ 2 raptor claws on top (to give it a meaner look)and a Pneumatic axe powered by a 4kg liquid CO2 dual high-flow CO2 regulator 250mm stroke, 100mm bore pneumatic cylinder develops 900kg of force and 2300 joules of energy direct rack-and-pinion drive 5 liter buffer tank
Strenght: Revenge of Zombie 2 has the speed and Push ability of Storm 2 and has one of the most powerful axe
Weakness: Hates Spinners
Self-Righter: Axe
Note: Revenge of Zombie has 3 interchangeable axe heads made out of S7 Tool Steel
I wouldnt exactly call it one of the most powerful axe.
I wouldnt put anymore than 2kg of CO2 in, that will give you plenty of hits and 4kg is really pushing it weightwise.
I know it is difficult, but we do need dimensions on the robot.
Apart from that, good stats.
Anyone feel like checking out my antweight please?
Bizarre and Improbable Giraffes
Shape: Box with sloped front and back
Colour: pink with yellow stripes
Weight: 150g
Dimensions 100mmX70mmX33mm
Speed: Ehh... Quite fast, in relative terms
Turning Circle: Guess
Armour: 2mm Aluminium all over
Ground Clearance: 6mm everywhere but the front and back, where firestorm style front and back wedge extensions make the ground clearance 0mm.
Movement: 4 lightwight plastic wheels with foam tires, and 1.5 inch diameter, powered by four COBAL 60:1 Gearmotors, and a E-Flite Double Cell LiPoly battery pack.
Weapons: None.
Scrimech: Invertible, although its utterly useless upside down.
The motors weigh 25g each, so 100g is gone on the motors alone. Add 32g for the battery, and its looking somewhat overweight :P
Hmm... What if I replaced the motors with KG54 Micro Geared motors, 8.2g each?
Those would be fine.
I run those in my real life antweight.
Anyone mind proof-reading this monstrosity? :proud:
Robot Name: Supreme
Dimensions (LxWxH): 135cm x 130cm x 30 - 65cm (the main body is 30cm high, the fire when not in use reaches 65cm in the air).
Shape: A box wedge with angled sides and a cylindrical back (cylindrical like Sir Chromealot, not like Barberous).
Weight: ~100kg, give or take a few nuts or bolts. :proud:
Drive: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors, running at 24v, powered by 4 x 24v NiCad batteries.
Top Speed: Roughly 15mph.
Wheels: The robot has 2 custom made rubber wheels, with golf studs embedded in them for extra grip. The wheels look more like rolls than anything, being 12cm high, but 20cm wide, allowing us to have extra grip on the arena floor.
Armour: The robot€™s main armouring is the 6mm Titanium front and sides. The top of the robot is 8mm Polycarb and the baseplate is 4mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy. The rear of the robot is protected by the kinetic disc (see Weapons for more information). The front and sides also have Titanium extender plates, giving the robot virtually 0mm ground clearance. The side panels each have 5cm long Titanium edges, each being 4mm thick. The front has a longer 8cm piece of Titanium, with this being 7mm thick.
Weapon 1: Supreme€™s main weapon is a large 35cm long axe. The axe head is made from Aluminium alloy, with the axe pole being made from 3.2mm Hardox for extra strength. The axe is powered by a kinetic energy transfer from the second weapon. The axe head is modelled on Excalibur€™s axe from Series 3 of Robot Wars, and has 2 large Aluminium alloy spikes on each side in order to aid in self righting.
Weapon 2: At the back of the robot is a large 1m diameter spinning ring, made from 4mm Hardox. 75% of the spinning ring is hidden by the armouring of the robot, but the remaining 25% has been left exposed in order to act as a type of defence for Supreme, especially as the axe is an omni-directional offense weapon. The spinning ring houses all the motors, electronics and batteries, and weighs just over 25kg. The disc has 4 large 4mm Hardox teeth, each being 3 inches in length and 4 inches wide. The spinning ring is powered by a LEM130 Lynch Motor running at 36v, geared down 4:1. The motor can spin the ring at a top speed of 1350RPM. According to the Team Cosmos KE calculator, the weapon should hit with 68kJ of power. When transferred into the axe, it should have enough power to pierce Hardox with ease.
Turning Circle: 0m
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front and sides and 15mm at back.
Thanks in advance! Any questions, post em here or bug me on MSN.
...you mean uni-directional, not omni-directional :P
Shhhh... ugar. :P
Neat idea. How will you retract the axe if you get stuck in the opponents armour?
Cheers, Leo. :)
Leave it in there and emphasise the damage caused, lol. :proud:
Actually, Leo, I think youve come across a bit of a design flaw with Supreme there. If the axe gets stuck into the opponent it is helpless.
Im gonna change the axe head from a pointy one into more of a sledge-hammer styled one. The energy is distributed over a larger area, but should still do a fair bit of damage to its opponents.
well leo umm to give u an idea of the vapour go to Zlaying and click Team Extreme robotics (heavyweight) u will see the pic of it the name of the vapour is Revenge of the zombie
and if its ok with u can u tell me the dimension of it coz im having trouble with it pls
I hate antweights...
Robot Name: Kobe

Colour: Silver all over.
Weight: 150g.
Drive: 4 x Sanyo gear motor, geared down 75:1, running at 5v. These are powered by a LiPoly battery pack.
Top Speed: Not entirely sure, but should have good traction and speed.
Wheels: 4 regular Lego wheels.
Armour: 1mm Polycarb everywhere, except for the front which has 2mm Polycarb.
Weapon: A pair of 20mm long plastic spikes at the front of the robot.
Turning Circle: 0m :proud:
Ground Clearance: 5mm all around.
Srimech: Invertible
heres my stat for Dracula pls tell me wat u think.

If your robot has tracks, some tourneys allow you to have a 10% weight increase, meaning Dracula can weigh up to 110kg. :)
ok Daniel umm wats 110kg is that 300lb? coz i know 220 is 100 kg
242.5lbs :)
New Vapour Stat pls check tell me if its ok

Ruark,
Lose 2 S28-400s
All omni wheels for motivation means you will slide all over the place if you want to make a turn.
You need more batteries than 4 3.6Ah packs, with that beast of a motor for weapon and 2 S28-400s for drive.
And again no dimensions given.
yea about the dimensions im having trouble with it umm how many batteries should it use and wat kind of batteries?

ok there leo is it ok now
You have Width and Height the wrong way round, and youre robot would need to be taller than 18cm to fit the drive motors and the E-Tek in. Maybe something nearer 30cm?
The height could be improved, but only a little. Id say 20cm would be enough.
Ill get that CAD up too, Ruark, the one you e-mailed me. :)
ok kody umm CAD of Stay Alive k
