Oh dear.... one day I swear Im going to just have to enter a massive solid hardox brick.... strap an ant weight to the bottom for some kind of mobility, lol
Cyclone Force 2.5 vs. Baldur Gamma
Cyclone Force 2.5 went through with Baldur after sending NSBFR-X back to the lost and found box on a judges decision, and then took out the 15th seed Terrorhurtz, straight down the pit.
Baldur Gamma, after going through with Cyclone Force, shocked the audience after giving one of the most feared vapourbots, Mass Disctruction Ultimate 4, a taste of the arena camera track!

Its Cyclone Force whos the quicker here, and already trying to ram the front of Baldur, but Baldur is not heading for the front of Cyclone Force in turn; instead, its heading towards one of the claws! There is a slight bang as the scoop smacks into the left side claw, and Baldur begins to push the Cyclone back towards the arena wall!
Cyclone Force tilts and manages to get his right claw around the side but due to the angle of the clamp he cannot get a firm hold of Baldur, who breaks out of the clench, turns around, and buries himself into Chris bots front end fully this time. Cyclone Force goes to clamp in, but is interrupted by his rear end being smashed into the arena wall! The scoop comes in again and tilts Cyclone Force up against the arena wall! Baldur however goes too far with the push, and Cyclone Force falls sideways, off the arena wall, and onto his back. Baldur turns to face the now inverted Cyclone Force, but it seems that Chris made his bot disappear! This of course isnt the case as Cyclone Force comes in at Baldurs side and tackles him into the same wall, and the claws grip! Baldur tries to get away, but his rear end is caught by Cyclone Forces claw...and tilted upwards! Chris growls in frustration, seeing that Cyclone Force fails again to get a good clamp in on Baldur, but realizes that since Baldur is on top of Cyclones clenched claws, he can take him anywhere! And thats just what Cyclone Force does! He heads straight for the pit release button, but Baldur is really putting up a struggle in the claws, and lifts the scoop. Both Alex and Chris gawk at the result, as Baldur lifts himself out of Cyclone Forces grip, the scoop still between the claws, and then falls beside his former captor, scoop upraised. Chris reacts first, though, and Cyclone Force, whipping around bores into him. This proves to be quite lethal, as he successfully slides under the scoop as it lowers and clamps around Baldurs sides! The claws now have a firm grip, however not piercing the 5mm hardox sides, but exerting enough pressure to keep them there. And Cyclone Forces traction comes back to aid him here, as he forces Baldur back towards the pit release button. Baldur lifts the scoop and lowers it down on Cyclone Force in vain, and soon enough gets his rear end acquainted with the pit release! :proud: The pit descends, but Baldur is definitely not going to go down without a fight! Alex almost snaps his controls as Baldur tries to push Cyclone Force back. Chris smirks and reverses Cyclone Force, allowing Baldur to push him back, and then tries to turn with Baldur pushing back, and so lining him up with the pit. His smirk becomes a frown as he finds he cannot do so, and so pushes Baldur back into the pit release button. The Watcher jumps in at this point and tackles the pair of them, as Cyclone Force has had enough fun with the claws. Chris looks sulky as Cyclone Force releases Baldur from its grasp, and backs off. Baldur rejoices in lowering his scoop, and the tide of this battle is going back to Baldur now as the MDU-killer slams into him. Cyclone Force tries to push him back, but ends up going onto the scoop and slammed into the wall! This however rights him, and he can now again take advantage of his low side ground clearance thanks to the skirts. Alex isnt worried about those skirts it seems, driving Baldur towards the front for another assault. Cyclone Force turns and Baldur slams into the side of him. The scoop is foiled by the skirts and Baldur drives on top of the chameleon-bot. Cyclone Force spins around and knocks Baldur off of him, and Chris is delighted to find Baldurs rear end exposed completely. Alex is alarmed and tries to drive off but the arena wall is too close and Baldur slams right into it. Cyclone Forces claws find the sides again but from the rear this time, and clamp down! Baldur fights it as best he can but Cyclone Force is slowly beginning to drag him backwards...and so Baldur thrusts backwards. Cyclone Force is pushed back now, not only by Baldur, but by his own reversal, and nearly hits the wall opposite, but able to turn this time slams Baldur into the arena wall. Baldurs scoop raises and he backs towards Cyclone Force, trying to force him back, but Cyclone Force has the greatest grip now, by both claw and tire :proud:, and shoves him along the wall...into the angle grinder! Alex lowers the scoop in time, as it hits the grinder. The grinder is unable to inflict its potential and Baldur is unharmed. Cyclone Force however is disappointed that he hasnt been able to give a death blow yet (preferably the pit) and tries to drag Baldur away, yet Alexs bot is quite a pain to deal with - AND HES ESCAPED! Baldur has slipped between the claws and...driven right back into the angle grinder. :proud: Thrown about 90 degrees, he backs away from the wall he is facing, and has a go at Cyclone Force who is catching up to him. Chris smashes his bot into Alexs with the force of a hurricane, only to find Alex pushing back with all of his might, and Cyclone Force backs off, causing to Baldur to fly forwards. Cyclone Force attacks the rear, but Baldur spins around in time to ward the attack off.

Panicking vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash vs. Powerpoint the Thrasher 5
Tactics, predictions, thoughts, comments, and a fully-functional internet connection please. :lame:
+1>BRILLIANT! GO CHRIS!
Heres my prediction for Heat I
Shovearound 2 (16) vs. Cosmic Thunder 2 vs. Knightrous Wedge - Shovearound 2 is a lethal push-bot, possibly more powerful than either of these two put together (Note the possibly:proud:) and I believe that Shovearound will go through instantly. Cosmnic Thunder doesnt have good armour except for on the front, but if he gets under, then Aaron will be getting the train home!
Panicking vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash vs. Powerpoint the Thrasher 5 - Matty has designed a brilliant robot, with only 1 flaw in it - the bar is too high to fight robots anymore. The bar is 30cm off the ground, and both these machines are 15-20cm off the ground. Say goodbye for PTT5!
HEAT WINNER: Shovearound 2/Cosmic Thunder 2
Nice fight, I thought it would be tough. Congratulations to a worthy opponent, and an equally worthy writer.
All I can is that that was a major relief. Considering everything Cyclone Force went through during this heat (dont worry Kody, it was a misunderstanding), I didnt think Id beat Baldur. Oh well...I HAVE AT LEAST ONE ROBOT THROUGH TO THE SEMI-FINALS!!!

METAL SONIC SPIN DASH VS Panicking VS Powerpoint the Thrasher 5

My predictions are Cosmic Thunder and PTT5 to go out.
My tactics:
Read. Enjoy.
I believe Panicking and Cosmic Thunder will go out of the first round, and Shovearound will win the heat... although I dont really want him to!
Wrong, Paul. It doesnt say anywhere in PTT5s stats that the weapon is 30cm off the ground. In fact the removable link is above it, and the whole vapourbot is 28cm high! Think about that.

Well, the tournament is progressing nicely, and were through half of our heats! Lets start Heat I!
Shovearound 2 (16) vs. Cosmic Thunder 2 vs. Knightrous Wedge
Shovearound 2 (16) is the last seed of our tournament but that makes him pretty good. Hes got 12mm hardox armour, lifting forks that lift 150kg, 4 LEM130s giving it a 28mph top speed, and double skirts to stop wedge attacks. It looks really durable, but isnt it just a TAD overweight...? :proud:
C&BT1: Shoved the Breed twins down the pit, then took out Tough As Nails, but then a beating from Warrior SKF proved to be its downfall in the Heat F final.
Cosmic Thunder 2 seems to make all his opponents thunderstruck. :proud: Hes like Voltronic but with a flipper, and 6mm titanium sides and a 9mm Lexan front wedge. Some MagMotors and 2 half-foot wheels give it a 16mph and invertibility, but it can right itself anyway so its weapon can work properly. Its armour is mostly average, though, and it wont have the greatest pushing power if it cant get under something.
C&B1: Did not enter.
Knightrous Wedge is a brother akin to Aaron Knights other wedgebot, The Ultimate Wedge. It goes at 40mph due to a unique hydra-static drivetrain never before featured in an FRA bot, and also uses complicated microchip technology to help it maintain control, even at that high speed. Coupled with multiple Hardox armouring, skirts, and a Slam Job-like shape, this compact design certainly takes Knightrous to a whole new level. :proud:
C&BT1: Rammed the hell out of Toby the T-Ram Engine but then fell to 13th seed Axeon in round 2 of Heat A.

Shovearound goes for Cosmic Thunder, but Knightrous Wedge cuts him off, and both of them are banging into the others front, but unable to get under. Knightrous Wedge seems to be the more powerful here (*GASP*) and starts to push the FFW4 champ backwards. Cosmic Thunder enters the scene with a shove to Shovearounds skirt :proud: but it fails, and Cosmic Thunder drives up onto the skirt. This does surprise Tony enough to try and turn to attack Alex but Aaron bores forward and pushes Shovearound against the wall. Shovearound lowers the forks deeper towards the ground but its not helping. Cosmic Thunder attacks Knightrous Wedge now, and this time is successful: the skirts of Knightrous Wedge are penetrated, and before Aaron can get the hell away, FLIP! An Aaron bot is upsy-downy! Shovearound pushes the now inverted Knightrous Wedge backwards, and Cosmic Thunder joins in, but Aaron rights his bot almost instantly, and Knightrous Wedge lands away from his pursuers, and turnns to face an incoming Shovearound. CLANG. They come together and again its a stalemate. Cosmic Thunder goes for those lovely skirts of Knightrous Wedge but he doesnt get them on this attempt, and throws himself onto them. Knightrous Wedge is again pushing the other pusher backwards, surprising the crowd. Alex is furious to find out he cant get under the skirts this time and tries again, only for Knightrous Wedge to back into him and throw him off the rear skirt, over the top and right onto the wedge! FLIP! Cosmic Thunder is on his head! Shovearound decides to take advantage of this situation and heads instead for Alexs machine, which runs away from Shovearound but is unable to avoid him for long and activates the flipper, righting him, but right on top of Shovearound! Knightrous Wedge bangs into Shovearound from behind, and tries to force his way under the rear skirting but nothing doing. Shovearound is forced into the wall though, with Cosmic Thunder on top, and WHAM! The forks hit the wall, bending ever so slightly. Shovearound tries to push back, but Aarons bot is in complete control, and decides to use the flipper to lift up the skirt. FLIP! It works! :proud: Knightrous Wedge slides under Shovearound AND Cosmic Thunder, but with the flipper upraised hes not going to be doing much flipping! Shovearound is brought from the wall, but raises the forks in case Cosmic Thunder falls off, but Alexs bot falls to the side instead. Knightrous Wedge throws Tonys bot right into the wall again! WHAM! Aaron smiles, as Shovearounds forks are bent again, this time much more noticeably! This also means however that the flipper ram of Aarons bot has been rammed against Shovearounds rear as well, and the flipbot releases Team Hitmens most successful robot. Knightrous Wedge lowers the flipper, and backs away as Cosmic Thunder runs right at him for a frontal assault, and their flippers collide now, and once more a stalemate. Alex knows however that hes not going to be able to outpush a hydra-static drivetrain and twists around in reverse, but Knightrous Wedge hadnt moved at all, but now turns and rams Cosmic Thunders side as a thank you gift :proud:. Shovearound is still very much mobile, and decides to get back in on the action by giving Cosmic Thunder a nice shove with the forks, and sliding under the Dutch bot lifts it up, allowing Knightrous Wedge to slide under it, and the flipper is still working because FLIP! Cosmic Thunder is tossed across the arena and lands near the wall, on its side! Shovearound nervously backs away from the Australian flipper but it rams into Shovearound, as the flipper closes: the forks of Tonys bot look dont look too hot now, but they still manage to repel another ram from Knightrous Wedge as they lock lifting weapons again. Cosmic Thunder thrusts its flipper against the wall, and lands right-side-up and ready for another attack. Aaron decides to do what he did before and FLIP! Shovearounds forks are jolted with great force, pointing skyward! Cosmic Thunder bores in now and rams Knightrous Wedge from the side, unable to get under the skirts but the skirt unable to get under him, forcing another cancel out. Knightrous Wedge once again pushes the forky bot into the wall. Oof. Shovearound tries to lower the forks, but finds it cannot do so! Knightrous Wedge backs off to lower its flipper, allowing Cosmic Thunder to come flying in, and it cheekily slides under Shovearound and tosses it! FLIP! Shovearound lands on his back, forks forced down, but still not working! Knightrous Wedge rams into Cosmic Thunder from the side, and sliding under it, tosses it! Cosmic Thunder does a 360 and lands on top of Shovearound, but slides off it and lets out a mighty snort from the flipper. Shovearound tries to turn away from the wall, and does so, only to meet Knightrous Wedges front and tilt towards its side, its battered forks foiled by the skirt. Knightrous backs off, lines up, and is interrupted by Cosmic Thunder, :proud: who tackles the rear of the Aussie and gets under him! FLIP! Knightrous Wedge goes for a loop, but just as he hits the ground on his back, self-rights. Shovearound comes in to attack but isnt quick enough to take advantage of Knightrous Wedges invertedness, and finds himself at a skirt! Knightrous Wedge turns and slides under the forks with ease now, and stacks Shovearound onto his wedge. Cosmic Thunder tries to rescue Shovearound...and seems to! He gets under Knightrous Wedges skirt...but cant seem to flip! Aaron grins, drives off of the Dutch bot towards the wall, allowing Cosmic thunder to let lout another mighty flip through air, and with the push of a button, sends the 16th seeded American over the fence.
CEASE!
Shovearound 2 got shoved around like nobodys business. :proud:

Panicking vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash vs. Powerpoint the Thrasher 5
Panicking will send somebody home crying for their mommy. :proud: Its basically real robot Panic Attack with heightened speed, smaller dimensions, and 6W LEM drive. Its armour is 12mm polycarbonate, and its skirts flop over when inverted. Its previously lost to spinners but lets see what this Panic brigade has in store for us. :proud:
C&B1 Did not enter.
Metal Sonic Spin Dash will fly by you in circles if youre not quick enough. :proud: Its a low skirted box, with a front spatula, hooked barbs to catch onto other robots, and a front vertical saw blade like Pussycat to carve into the opposition. When you combine that with 3.75mm hardox armour, 6W LEM drive, 16mph, and a rear CO2 srimech, youve got quite a pestilent hedgehog on your hands, Dr. Robotnik! :proud:
C&BT1: Let the house robots destroy Vampire Killer, but then 3rd seed Orka MK4 ended MSSDs hopes in the 2nd round of Heat C.
Powerpoint the Thrasher 5 thrashes like a metal band. Its got a nasty spinning disc producing 10kJ, but with sharp teeth to slice n dice. It also has 10mm titanium armour, and skateboard wheels for mobility, plus extra ones not connected to the motors (but still attached anyway) all around the top and bottom corners. Its invertible, but that weapon doesnt look like it could damage either of the armours its up against.
C&BT1: Did not enter.

CRASH!
MSSD is thrown a little, but no damage, not even to the disc! Panicking immediately takes the proffered chance and slides under PTT5s ground clearance, lifting it up and slamming it into the nearby wall! WHAM! Steve, seeing PTT5 between a wall and a Panicking, decides to open the pit before he has some more fun, backing into it, ah there it goes. Pit descending. :proud: Anyway, Panicking has got PTT5 trapped against the wall, the disc not spinning, and MSSD crashes the party by tackling the Thrasher, and slightly throwing Panicking aside. The spatula finds its way under PTT5, and the saw find the corner of the underbelly!
CRASH!
Just as ineffective a hit as PTT5 gave to him, yet some nice sparks add to the delight of the crowd. :proud: PTT5 has been knocked against the wall, but Panicking moves in again before he can get off of the wall...and he seems to be trying to lift PTT5 OOTA! This will be very quick if he does...NO! PTT5 falls off of the forks and...onto MSSDs spatula! The Spin Dash gobbles him up immediately and throws him towards the pit! Matty flicks the controls in alarm but its way too late to manoeuvre away, especially when you are already at the bottom of the hole. :proud: BOOM!
