How Could I Improve...
7mm Hardox is very thick, and it may be a bit too heavy, but if someone says it is, thin it off by 3mm, but it looks as though it can handle 7mm Hardox.
About the dimensions, if you want it invertible, go for 20cm, or UNDER 20cm. 16cm is very low, 14cm is EXTREMELY low, and that height can allow you to be good against flippers and allow super handling.
I would go for 20cm in height because any less might make it tough for you to hold something. For dimensions, I would have:
L: 80cm (110cm including the bottom crusher lip) W: 80cm H: 20cm
Just some suggestions :proud:

Improving, yes. Ok, hardly.
With dimensions we mean how long is it, how wide, how high? Thats not someting you calculate, you design it that way.
You make some odd choices. 12x9.6V packs? How do you connect them? 5 in series, 2 of those series in parralel? what do you do with the remaining 2 packs? If not, you can never power the LEMs and even then 2 lines of 48V NiMh will not keep your robot running any longer than a minute.
A 14 tonnes hydraulic crusher on 12V is madness, you would need to draw so much current you will melt the batteries. 24V or 36V is much more feasible.
-
How Could I Improve...
Says 48v so all 12 9.6 packs are in series, so its going to run for about 40 secs before its flat or burns out the batteries
Sorry mate not gonna work.
14cm body is perfectly ok, Biohazard is 11cm tall

If you are going to use a part, please try and get an understanding of how it works first. The M-Mac Actuator I presume you have seen in Dans stats and decided to use it. Well, in fact you seem to have copy and pasted it... :lame: I had to explain to him how it worked, and since that I dont think it has been used. Hydraulics require pumps and hydraulic fluid and are not run on electrics. I know very little about hydraulic systems, so perhaps someone else can help you out with this.
-
How Could I Improve...
14cm high is not ok for a hydraulic crusher.
-
How Could I Improve...
I think you just need something to run the pump (can be electric, petrol, or mysterious other power sources which you apparently have to talk to the FRA hydraulics expert to know about) and something to open the valves, and I think electric hydraulic valves come under the obvious, no need to state category.
-
How Could I Improve...
yea it is Leo, TX-108 was only 16cm high and it fitted all hydraulic parts in
-
How Could I Improve...
I always include the arm in the height Craig. For me the height includes the weapon, I also do that with axes on my robot (I usually state height with and without axe).
-
How Could I Improve...
ok point taken, 16cm body height

Isnt that the same actuator which needed at least 96volts to work?

ok guys umm scrap the stat on Pain ill go with a spinner coz hydraulics are to hard k

ok guys here is the new stat of Pain umm ive change the stat of pain coz hydraulics are hard to much for me think think anyways ill stick to spinner, lifters etc except crushers

Another case of randomly picking parts and just duct taping them together.... No research into what they do and how they work....

ok im replacing the weapon motor to an Etek-RT Motor (so the speed of the weapon is 3700 @ 72v) most of the robot that are spinner have an etek motor to power the weapon can u do a last check on my stat again sorry about this guys i keep messing up on stats

How Could I Improve...
10mm Ti all over is too much, you would end up with over 70kg of Ti which leaves you no weight left for motors and discs or batteries or electronics.
Make it 10kg front and back (because thats where its needed the most) 6mm on the sides and 4mm on top. That will leave you with 55kg of Ti, so a little more breathing room to fit the rest in.
2600 NiMh, I presume 2600mAh NiMh cells. For NiMh those kinds of capacaties are low, for a heavyweight I would only use 3000 mAh or more wether it is NiCad or NiMh. Also you dont stat how many packs (a pack is either 6V, 12V or 24V) you would use back to back (that is called in series, making the voltage go up (12+12+12+12=48V), then how many of these series you would put parralel (2600mAh is so low your batteries would melt or blow up if you put a LEM or Magmotor or Etek on them, let alone 2 Magmotors and an ETEK at the same time). By putting your series parralel you increase the amount of current they can deliver. So you can power stronger motors without burning them out.
In your case, 36V would be sufficent, mAh I would say 11000 at least. so 3 12V packs in series (36V), 5 of those series in parrallel(2600*5=13000mAh). That is roughly 10kg worth of batteries (150 cells in total of 70 grams per cell).

How Could I Improve...
I still think 28 MPH is going to give you control issues. Maybe go from 4 LEMS to 2?
-
How Could I Improve...
This looks like it could be an effective spinner killer Rurak, but 5mm Titanium is pretty flimsy, so I suggest that you make it a monocoque with a Hardox chassis, as thisll keep the 5mm Ti on for a long time.
Another thing is make it 5mm Ti/V alloy, as its not much heavier and its also a lot tougher.
-
How Could I Improve...
Dimensions are a little off - 40x32x10cm is closer to featherweights when it comes to size. For something very similar to Sewer Snake wed be talking about 120x90x20cm.
And am I missing something with titanium? 5mm titanium flimsy? I saw a 6mm piece on Tiberious at the FW champs and it was rock solid. I also heard how much of a pain in the asp () it was to cut that 6mm piece so I think 5mm would be fine.
As a chassis material, I imagine it would be adequately strong enough, especially if a sturdy construction technique is used (e.g. interlocking parts, reinforced by welds - seemed to do the job well on an Aussie FW undercutter)
-
How Could I Improve...
Youre missing the point that the laws of physics do not necessarily exist in vapourbot land :P but 5mm Ti should give adequate protection against most things, the only thing you really need Hardox monocoques and Vanadium alloys for is Aaron. :proud:
LockJaw Epedemic: Good and in weight, yes; effective, perhaps not. Stinger wasnt exactly easy to control, and youre using a weapon that needs more precision than Stingers did in a smaller attack area, so something to think about there.
Pain: Dimensions are off, as Jamie said; other than that it seems fine, decent SS clone.

QUESTION:
B42-500s, can we use them or not, and if so how much power do they produce? Flick of the Wrist and Mega Monsoon are still using them.
-
How Could I Improve...
I believe Ramthrax has them too :P
-
How Could I Improve...
Are the specs of these motors to be found somewhere?
-
How Could I Improve...
they USED to be on the MagMotors website, I believe Aaron knows them best
-
How Could I Improve...
I though I recalled him saying they didnt exist?
-
How Could I Improve...
He said that they existed, but werent for proper use.
-
How Could I Improve...
I know there was SOMETHING awkward about them but in the end they did exist I believe, I know Aaron made a lovely post about them a while back, have to look up that
-
How Could I Improve...
B42-500 Mags were on the website, I remember looking at the specs when designing the Monsoon series of vapours.
-
How Could I Improve...
And what did they say? I cant seem to recall the statistics.
-
How Could I Improve...
I remember that had a good HP/weight ratio, and could be run at 60v, although I think the recommended voltage was either 32v or 46v.
-
How Could I Improve...
...slightly abnormal recommended voltages, to my ears. :S
