(thanks a lot, Kane, I couldve edited my last message had you not decreased the time from 10 to 3 minutes... :lame:)
Reading the http://www.geocities.com/alex_j_holt/tnegu.htmhttp://www.geocities.com/alex_j_holt/tnegu.htm Tengu page, here are the blades Tengu is using:
quote:
The new ones: basically they are two standard blades mounted at the top and bottom of the side of the robot, making 4 blades in total (the blades shown in the picture) Basically they are used against robots with shells too tough for the blades to pierce, but are instead designed to knock an opponent away but also deliver as much force through the smallest area possible without off balancing the machine. This basically means that it€™s far more likely to do severe shock damage inside to machines which aren€™t likely to be damaged properly.
ITT we prove that I dont do any research but my tactics are vague and general enough to still work
Will get this up tomorrow (later today to you blokes): been distracted, and probably wont be able to follow through that Im going to start writing these more quickly now sentence. :lame:
To be fair I do state Used against most opponents except ones mentioned below. in the 15cm ones, and as far as I can tell, Cacodemon doesnt particularly fall into any category.
Behave you two. :proud:
Tengu VII vs. Cacodemon
Tengu VII got through a three-way judges decision leaving Storm II to rot, and then beat Star 69 into more than submission. :proud:
Cacodemon helped Star 69 smash up the 11th seed Wedga Revo 2.0, and then surprisingly won a judges decision over IDSFA.
Roboteers, stand by...
Booth 1: Cacodemon
Booth 2: Tengu VII
Ancalagon the Black, hardly needs a description as you know about his jaws, discs, and mighty flamethrower. Partnering him is the 106kg ramming fury of Asterix Heroicus.

ACTIVATE!!!
Dont forget that this is for a place in the Series Semi-Final, and Cacodemon has already smashed into Tengu, and sparks fly as Tengu is glanced away! Only a deflecting blow! OR IS IT?! Look at that, Cacodemon has sustained damage on the right side of the wedge, a great big tear! If that was a deflecting blow I would hate to see a huge CRASH...but Cacodemon seems to be mightier than that! Hes stopped the blades now and rammed Holts spinner, but unable to penetrate the skirting! Tengu therefore is shoved into the wall! WHAM! Cacodemon backs away from the shaken machine and rams Tengu again before she has a chance to spin up! Back into the wall for Tengu, and this is really surprising! Tengu cant get up to full spinning speed! Shes being harrassed every two seconds by that low wedge that is Cacodemon! Another slam! Tengu bounces off the angle grinder...and away. Ohhh...Holt is relieved, but MacWilliams isnt letting up in his attack anytime soon! Cacodemon tackles Tengu again before the blades spin up, but Tengu is able to get out of the way near the wall, and Cacodemon slams into it! Ooh, that had to hurt. And now Tengus spinning up her dangerous speed! Cacodemon turns away from the wall hurtles headlong into the dervish!
CRASH!
That front wedge takes the full hit, but Tengu goes flying backwards, resting back on her wheels. Cacodemon is quite persistant, and rams Tengu again before the blades are back at full speed, but, also again, Tengu avoids the wall. WHAM! Cacodemon crunches sickeningly against it. Tengu has spun up now and has a go at the exposed rear!
CRASH!!!
Cacodemon is mashed against the wall, his rear torn to shreds! Tengu manages to remain steady but back prevent Cacodemon from backing into her and pushing her away. Tengu actually pushes back now, this is interesting. Cacodemon however is the pushier here, it seems, and Tengu is surely headed for the wall. WHAM. Tengu is pushed against it. Cacodemon turns to try and slide the wedge under but it fails to do so. Tengu pushes her way along Cacodemons side, and he keeps at it, and Tengu is again unable to get up to speed! Right into the pit release button they go, opening that pit! OH LORD, TENGU IS INCHES FROM THE PIT! CAN THEY GET HER DOWN?! ...no! Tengu reverses away towards the back of Cacodemon. And to top that all off, the blades are working again and back up to speed! Cacodemon turns around now and once more rams that irritable full-body spinner!
CRASH!
THE WEDGE IS OFF! Cacodemon is now completely seperated from the titanium wedge, which is now near the arena saws, and wide open for an attack! Cacodemon again rams Tengu but rather sluggishly now. Tengu has really sustained no damage at all during this contest and all the damage has been caused to Cacodemon, but still try and work their way back into the fight! Tengu again hits the wall! WHAM! Holt tries to get Tengu away and does so! Cacodemon turns and rams Tengu again but Tengu rolls away from the ram and spins the blades like she always does! Cacodemon, devoid of a front wedge, does the only thing he can do at this point: RAM!!!
CRASH!!!
Both robots knocked flying! Tengu crashes into the wall and lands...ON HER SIDE! Can Tengu right herself from this - yes, she can! The blades knock Tengu onto her back, and up pops the arm! Cacodemon however is in worse straits - the front armour is gone revealing the chassis, and there is definitely not as much strength left in the demon as before. Tengu is approaching fast, with her blades spun up, so Cacodemon heads on over to the pit, only to find Tengu has already caught up to him!
CRASH!
The side wedge takes the hit now, and is severely dented, and Cacodemon is belted away several feet! ...and still, Cacodemon isnt giving up! Tengu is again rammed before achieving desired speeds, and is pushed into Asterixs CPZ! The house robot smashes into Tengu and gets underneath the skirting! Oh...and yes, Tengu is flipped over again! Cacodemon shunts Tengu right into the corner! Tengus arm comes up but it cant use the srimech from that position! But the clock is ticking down...
10...9...8...7...
Cacodemon gets out of the CPZ as Ancalagon makes his way over, and Tengu pops herself against the wall...and is righted!
6...5...4...
Asterix rams Tengu and keeps it against the wall as Ancalagons jaw comes in for an attack, but Tengu escapes Asterixs shove and slides out of the CPZ!
3...2...1...
Cacodemon comes forward again and misses Tengu, only to have the FBS shunt him in the rear...
CEASE!
To quote a certain Jonathan Pearce, what a twister that was!! Its all on our beloved judges now. :proud:
Tengu VII - Cacodemon
Style = 3/5 - 2/5
Control = 3/5 - 2/5
Damage = 5/5 - 0/5
Aggression = 2/5 - 3/5
Strategy = 3/5 - 2/5
Total = 16/25 - 9/25
Cacodemon is sent back to hell!
Tengu VII advances to the Series Semi-Finals!!!
Heat G
Axeon (13) vs. Wedge Devolution vs. Axe to Fall
Hellbrand vs.Revenge of the Accountant vs. Scorpion Bite
Predictions, tactics, thoughts on the fights so far...ooh-la-la, look at all the snow. :proud:
Axeon (13) vs. Wedge Devolution vs. Axe to Fall
ANDY! It was Terrorhurtz who took out Wedge Devo in the last series, shall we see what two axes of our level can do to it?
Well done, Alex! Tengu rocked in that fight. And also, thats two of the Team Doomforall machines in the semis. GO ALEX!
Axeon (13) vs. Wedge Devolution vs. Axe to Fall - Wedge Devo through no problem, possibly with the more heavily armoured Axeon to go through.
Hellbrand vs.Revenge of the Accountant vs. Scorpion Bite - Tough fight, but Scorpion Bite and Revenge Of The Accountant going through.
Wedge Devolution vs. Axeon (A classic McGregor vs. Jackson clash) to be the heat final.
Hellbrand vs.Revenge of the Accountant vs. Scorpion Bite - Both of my opponents have thin armor, you say? :D Spin up and crash into the nearest robot until it dies from death.
Heh, Cacodemon exceeded all expectations :P Got to the heat final where it actually survived the entire bout against Tengu lol

Axeon (13) VS Axe to Fall VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION
Urgh. Two nearly-identical axebots. Go after whoevers easiest to get under (Maybe ATF. Axeon has those suckers, doesnt it?), team up with the other one and fling from the ring. :lame:
