Weeks of filing needed to smooth down the welds on each arm.
Back plate armour made from 0.6mm titanium

Rear armour plates shaped from 0.6mm titanium go under the shoulders.
Dowels are drilled and taped to fit the rear armour panels
More machining done to the head bearing mount to reduce weight.
Two holes bored out for 2 astroflight motors. I think I will only use one and machine a new bearing mount now though
Hand turned dome head made by my dad for my 21st birthday. Its perfect!!!
Finished bearing mount in position and head attached to check the fit.

The original plan was to demo it.... but it wouldnt be the same so its being built for full combat which sometimes makes me cry lol.
Was really hoping to have it ready for the champs but that doesnt look likely :(

The head is on the rotary table which has been angled to machine the flutes in the top
