He needs a bit more than a bag as a lipo precaution, have a read through the regulations.
BTW, 14.5, not too bad, Kenny tried to pass off a 17(19?)kg LW as a FW a few years back :P
Haha, armourdillo weight about 15kg... Neally all my robots are made over weight... Even the shell for the beetle all ready weighs about 900 grams... And bruiser weighs about 13.5kg now, the new sides are lighter than the old wood ones, and I took of the old front to make room for the new wedge, and If my scales are wrong, and it's over, I have a lighter battery that I can use...
And I have got a new charger, which has the cell balancing thingy magig, so I can get some litheum batteries in the future, if i ever get the time to lighten it further, and put the steel wedge on the back as well...
I'm actually pretty sure it was in the early twenties :lol:Quote:

But Sadly I need to completely rebuild the chassis as it's to heavy, and the wrong size/ shape... But it's all going ok, apart from that! And we are still in the design faze for the axe robot... Also bruisers still broken from the last event... We are thinking about upgrading it... As it's sooo slow...
Awesome! 800 grams is meaty! Is the plan to keep it that heavy? I'm very interested to see the rest of it, since an 800g weapon doesn't leave much for everything else.
Yeh, it's quiet a bit heaver than I was planning... And I may try and lighten it in the future, but I'm going to see how light I can make the body first, cos I do like the idea of such a powerful weapon...
Not done much recently, just a little design. Were planning to get bruiser going at 10mph, with some new motors, and I have been designing the axe feather as well ( I will put some pics up of the CAD soon) and I'm also building an ant, as something to do between battles...
Done a little work, fixed Bruiser, but not the lack of control and random swerving problem. not doing the axe any more, as its overly complicated, and it would be to similar to other designs,so i'm making a bruiser 2 instead, but im keeping most of that quiet at the moment.
I have also done some work on rocky( the beetle weight drum bot), here is the video of it currently, the belt for the drum has broken and its held together with duct tape http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGtpfMp9lpk but it has next to no power, so i may change it to the 30:1 MFA gear motors rather than the 15:1's as it should drive more like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzCbhEZR ... er&list=UL
this is a demonstration of the drum with the old chassis, (it was filmed in the summer by the way, I don't live somewhere hot like that ) sadly the drum including the non spinning shaft is 1kg, so I need to lighten it a bit i think the shaft alone weighs 200 grams, so I might get someone to mill it down for me. i have also tried to sort out the beetle weight flipper, but i cant find light enough parts.
