I feel Envy is the toughest opponent I have here, so Ill try and push it into Typhoon 2. If I manage to immobilise it flip Typhoon (it wont do anything to my scoop) and then go for Weird Alice, attempting to score an OOTA or pitting

Surgeon General vs. Drillzilla vs. Voltronic vs. Biohazard
Well the General did manage to rip Voltronic a nice one in Season 4 and KOd it, so Ill go after Biohazard first. Ill try to rip the arm off once its upraised and then Ill try my luck with Drillzilla. Keep hitting it with the disc and back off every time I hit it to spin up. Voltronic doesnt really seem to be that much of a problem, but the first priority is to get rid of Bios arm. :P
UK Melee
Envy vs. Behemoth vs. Weird Alice vs. Typhoon 2
Go after Behemoth, get under the sides and shove it into Typhoon 2. :proud: If that doesnt do it, abandon Behemoth and go after Typhoon 2 itself, and try and get it over. Weird Alice...to hell with Weird Alice. :proud: If I kill the other two...flip it around leisurely. :proud:

3-2-1: Activate!
What a battle this is going to be! Weird Alice strikes Envy and flips it over! Envy self-rights and backs into Typhoon 2! OUCH! Spun away, Envy, into the wall. THAT is how powerful Typhoon 2 is! Behemoth tries to lift Envy over, but Envy recovers and gets under Behemoth...and pushes it into Typhoon 2! A loud crash, but I dont think Behemoth has been damaged. We havent seen the flipper of Envy in action yet. Weird Alice comes in for another go, but Envy is wary this time and gets under...AND THROWS Weird Alice over the fence! Revenge for Kody, it would seem. One robot is out, and Typhoon 2 appears to have stopped spinning. Weve seen this problem before in Robot Wars. Behemoth gets under with the scoop, but cant quite lift it up. Daniel runs away to the CPZ. Envy now after Behemoth. Kody gets under and HURLS Behemoth across the arena. Behemoth on its side. Typhoon 2 is spinning very slowly. It hits Envy from behind. Has that caused enough damage? I can see a tear in the back of Envy from the earlier attack. Typhoon 2 backs off. Behemoth reenters and tries to lift Envy over. Kody pushes back. Typhoon 2 is now spinning up to full speed and WHACKS Envy! Envy spun away! No internal damage, but the armour is looking torn and crumpled. Typhoon 2 has stopped spinning again. Daniel knows he is in trouble. Envy comes in...and flips Typhoon 2 over onto its side! Typhoon 2 bouncing across the arena and landing on its side. It cant self-right. Refbot comes in...and Envy pushes him and topples him onto his side! What a display by Kody! Hes lucky the house robots arent here! Behemoth backs into the pit release button! Envy gets underneath, but doesnt flip. Behemoth slides off the front and turns away...almost into the pit! Its very close here. The judges are looking. Envy under Behemoth and flips it! Behemoth on its back. It cant get away from there. Refbot cant count it out, but it doesnt matter.

What an amazing battle! Weird Alice and Typhoon 2 are out. Behemoth not out for 30 seconds at the end there, so the judges will decide!

Welcome back! After Hazard gained its revenge upon T-Minus, we have two more real robots.
Skink is a featherweight entered by Paul. It is a box with a full pressure flipper. But how long with the plastic armour last?
Little Hitter is Martijns featherweight entry. It is a box with an axe on the top. The armour is Titanium, but a robot needs to be in front of it for the axe to work!
3-2-1: Activate!
Skinks armour is probably the weak spot, and Little Hitter will try and expose that, which it is doing now! The axe pounds down on the plastic and I can see a crease. Paul flips Little Hitter up, but not over. Martijn backs away, but Skink chases and flips it over! Little Hitter self-rights and continues its pursuit. Skink turns and Martijn fires the axe. This time it goes right through the armour! Paul tries to get away, but he drags Little Hitter around with him. Little Hitter gets free, but is flipped up and over! Paul comes in and pushes Little Hitter against the wall! Can it get it out...NO! Its stuck against the arena side wall! Little Hitter swings madly at Skink, but Paul is determined to get it out! One more flip! OH! Almost out! Little Hitter self-rights and swings the axe down again! AND this time, it pierces the 150w drive motors of Skink! Paul pushes Little Hitter into the angle grinder, but Martijn keeps hacking away! Skink turns, but Little Hitter has it cornered! I think it has immobilized one side of Skink! Martijn is on top here! Skink flips, but Little Hitter is over it like a rash! This the last place for the featherweight finals. Little Hitter backs away. Sportsmanship, perhaps? Or maybe it senses Skink is out? Skink is slowly moving around in circles. Refbot comes in. Little Hitter RAMS Skink up against the wall, and pushes it onto its side! Skink self-rights, but its all over, I think!

Skink is out. Little Hitter opens the pit release and pushes Skink towards it. Paul is still trying to get away, but its not going to work. In the pit it goes!

First: The last of our Middleweight battles!
Xianghua II is Kodys entry. It is a box on wheels with a flipping arm at the front. It can run any way up, but if inverted, the flipping arm will be useless!
AJ has entered Typhoon, the current Middleweight Champion of Robot Wars! Its just as destructive as its heavyweight version, but they have the same weakness: No Self-Righting Mechanism!
3-2-1: Activate!
Typhoon gets up to full speed, but Xianghua RAMS into it! And already, Kody has victory in his sights! Sparks fly, but Typhoon is deflected. Xianghua II undamaged. Typhoon spins again and hits Xianghua on the side! OW! A large split has been formed in the Titanium side armour! AJ is on top here, but Kody doesnt want to go out in the first round: again! He backs away to the centre of the arena, but AJ catches up! Not as big a hit, but Xianghua II spun to one side. Typhoon isnt spinning any more. Kody gets the lifter underneath and SLAMS Typhoon into the wall! Will AJ activate the Self Destruct Button? (Whatever that does:proud:). Xianghua II backs off. Typhoon escapes, but still isnt spinning. Over the flame pit, but the shell is petrol driven, I should add! AJ might have made a big mistake there! Xianghua II opens the pit release button and down goes the pit! Typhoon is lost. Its driving around randomly, but Kody catches up with it. Hes gotten underneath, will he...OH! After a strong start, Typhoon is in the pit! What a shock! Kody is happy, though. Well done to both teams for a fantastic fight!

There, Kody will meet Hazard and David. He will have to make repairs because it is reported Typhoon almost knocked out the removable link.

Xianghua II vs. Hazard
Damnit, Hazard is tough. Not only is it a damn good spinner, but its quite a good pusher too, and it tends to get under other bots. Its pretty much the middleweight realie to beat.
Tactics are to try and get under the rear, wedge it, and then ram it against the wall, to try and kill off the bar, as hopefully Hazard should still be spinning. If I get a chance, lift it onto its back, since it has no srimech. I wont try and lift it while its spinning, as that would tend to be VERY bad for me. :proud:
Summary: Get under it, wedge, ram against wall, lift and flip. :proud:

Before we continue with the main tournament, lets go to the UK VS USA Real Robot Side Event! This time, the USA will be fighting it out to see wholl meet the UKs Envy in the final
Drillzilla: A fast walking robot armed with tough steel that nothing can get through! Ben R entered it
Voltronic: Entered by Lewis M, an invertible wedge with a lifting arm made from a wheelchair
Surgeon General: Kody Ks entry. It has a large spinning disc that caused heavy damage in Battlebots and might do the same here
Biohazard: Entered by Daniel S. It has a lifting arm that took it to victory FOUR times in the Battlebots Heavyweight Competition
3-2-1: Activate!
Drillzilla STRAIGHT off the mark there! SMASHING into Voltronic and pushing it against the wall! Lewis cant get away! Biohazard is eying out Surgeon General, and goes in for the hit! Kody is uplifted. Biohazard is too low and the disc cant hit it. Over it goes! Daniel backs away to take on the incoming Drillzilla. Ben wants this fight badly, but is lifted by Biohazard! Not over, though. Wheres Voltronic in all of this? There it is, taking on Surgeon General. OH! The disc makes a loud THWACK against the steel armour! No damage, but Lewis needs to get away. Kody is too fast. OUCH! Voltronic is spun away. Biohazard releases the pit! Surgeon General in the grasp of Drillzilla! Ben thinks Kody is the biggest threat here! Biohazard gets under Voltronic and slowly levers it onto its back! The last time they met in Series Five of Battlebots, its what Biohazard did to win the competition! Pushing it against the wall...what was that that went then!? Drillzilla has pushed the Surgeon General down the pit! Kody was on top for a moment, but no longer. Drillzilla pushes against Biohazard! Voltronic is immobilized. It cant get away on its back. Refbot comes in!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Voltronic and Lewis out! Biohazard lifts Drillzilla, maybe trying to get it out of the arena. It comes back to earth and pushes back! Biohazard in the CPZ. Drillzilla is very persistant! Lifted again, and this time up and over. Drillzilla is invertible, though. Biohazard gets away, but Drillzilla grabs it with the front jaws and pushes it towards the wall! Biohazard cant get away! The last ten seconds count down to the ending of a fantastic ding-dong here! Both robots still mobile, so it goes to the judges!

Again, it goes to the judges. Biohazard and Drillzilla both moving at the end

From what Ive heard, Drillzilla isnt as effective on its back. Flip it, then drive it down the pit. Dont flip it again, stay in the middle of the arena until I get him on his back, you know the whole...drill. :proud:

Well, its the end of another heat. But before I leave for another few minuets, Nitro-Gene 5.0 and Fling will fight it out to meet The Hurting in the Heavyweight Final!:proud:
Nitro-Gene 5.0 is an invertible box with a flipper. Paul entered it. It is his last attempt to gain success in the series, but if flipped, the flipper will be useless!
Fling is entered by Daniel. It has a front hinged flipper powered by a spring! It makes for more attack energy, but how long will it take for the weapon to retract into place after use?
3-2-1: Activate!
Fling needs to time its flips carefully because the system is slow to reuse. Nitro-Gene 5.0 comes in and FLIPS it over! Already, Fling in trouble. It self-rights, doing a headstand almost, but crashes back to earth. Daniel beings to retract the spring powering the flipper, but Nitro-Gene 5.0 attacks again! Up it goes. Flings flipper hasnt drawn back fully, so it cant self right! Paul goes in for the kill and OH! Fling is out of the arena! Daniel cant believe that has happened and his hopes for the Heavyweight Title go out of the window! Its a quick battle, but Paul isnt complaining. Sportsmanship at the end. Thats what we like to see!

Its Heat D already. Today we have the Superheavyweight battles. First up, Drive and Damn You Wee Rammer
Drive is entered by Joey. It is an eight-wheeled box with a wedge on the front and two spikes. Its main method of attack is to ram the others in oblivion! But how effective will it be?
Damn You Wee Rammer is entered by David. It is a wedge with a spinning drum on the back (Am I correct, if not sorry). It is powered by a petrol engine, but if it goes over the flame pit, we all know what happens then!:proud:
3-2-1: Activate!
Drive is straight out and CRASHES into DYWR! David spins away and gets the wedge under Drive. Drive FLIES over the top! Comes back to earth and turns again to face the rear scoop and the drum. David backs into it. The wedge on the front of Drive is torn up a bit, but no other damage. Joey gets under the side and pushes DYWR across the flame pit and into the wall! He backs off and comes in again! DYWR manages to get away and uses its rear scoop again to smash up the wedge of Drive. Joey still has control over DYWR. He pushes it around a bit before letting it go. David drives over to the Pit Release Button! OH! Drive SMACKS DYWR into the wall! Sparks fly as the drum RIPS the front wedge off! What an impact. Joey continues to push DYWR across the arena, but David gets away! Not for long! Drive pushes it over the flame pit! Oh dear! SMASHING it into the angle grinder again and again! DYWR cant get away. Drive has backed off. Maybe it senses DYWR is immobolized. Its moving, DYWR, but not on one side. Drive pushes it against the angle grinder again! Refbot comes in. David was on top for a moment, but it seems he is out! What a shame!

And DYWR is out! Joey celebrates by ramming it across the arena and onto the floor flipper! How far will it go? OH...not too far, but it lands with a mighty crash! Drive pushes it into the pit. Its all over!

Toro is Martijns Superheavyweight entry. It was the winner of Battlebots Series Four SHW Competition, and is armed with a powerful Co2 flipper. But the weapon has been unreliable in the past.
Ziggy is Samuels entry. It is a six wheel drive box-wedge with a powerful Biohazard style flipper on the front. But when the Co2 runs out, what else can it do?
3-2-1: Activate!
Ziggy is the more powerful from what I know. Toro scopes it out, but doesnt get away...OHH! Toro is launched two metres across the air and SMASH...lands on its side! It self rights, but Ziggy comes in and throws it against the wall! Martijn is taking a right beating. Samuel waits, maybe giving Toro a chance to fight back, which it goes by flipping Ziggy up, but not over! Ziggy turns around and flips Toro again! ALMOST out of the arena! Toro crashes into its wheels and turns to face Ziggy. It races to the back to get under it and DOES so! Ziggy up...and over! Its on its back, Ziggy. Can it self-right? Yes, it can! But Toro gets under and SLAMS it into the side wall! Ziggy self-rights again and chases Toro into the CPZ! Martijn needs to...TOO LATE! Toro goes flying out! What a powerful robot Ziggy is. I like its chances!

Nitro-Gene 5.0 vs. The Hurting
Well Mr. Connell, what Im going to do is attack your disc side, as your disc will be very nice to hit, as I have a 90* front, which is made of 3.25mm Hardox for the two panels (held on by rubber capped bolts to make them impossible to just break) and a 5mm Hardox flipper, which you wont wish to attack anyway.
Just hit the disc and slow it, then push to the walls with my 12hp, and FA-LIP him out!

DRIVE vs. Ziggy:
Firstly, Drive is 4WD, not 8 as stated. :proud:
Secondly...avoid the front, push it around and get it down the pit. Low wide shapes like Drive should tip over if flipped rather than fly well, and this will work to my advantage.
THE HURTING vs. Nitro-Gene 5.0.:
Well, Mr. Cuomo, what Im going to do is start in reverse again and keep the wedge to you while I spin up to buy me time to get to full speed.
And afterwards, if your statistics are to be believed, your flipper has a relatively narrow flat front and runs just over halfway up the body. This is nice for armour but doesnt translate well at all into leverage for flipping, and also makes it easier to avoid, and those sides look awfully tasty for vertical spinners, being pointed like that and all - I dont care how curved your armour is, thats still easy to get a grip on :proud:
In short, use the wedge and flipper to keep it away until the disc gets to speed, then turn around and hit it at the sides and rear, avoiding the front, and generally batter it into submission and try to perform an X-Terminator and get it out the arena if the opportunity arises.
MIDDLEWEIGHTS: Xianghua FTW. Despite Kodys determination to the contrary regarding my bots :P
FEATHERWEIGHTS: Quite even actually. If LH can get a hit in to stop the shell, if could be in with a chance, but Deadly LAmpshade should be able to avoid it...I think it might go the the judges, but Dan FTW nonetheless.
Its been 10 days since this thing began! And already were at FRFFT: Series One Grand Final.
First up, the Middleweight Final: Xianghua II and Hazard
Xianghua II pushed Typhoon into the pit after a mighty ding-dong, but took some damage. Kody has repaired it, and is ready for battle
Hazard pulled T-Minus apart within seconds. It took no damage in that battle and David seems confident about this
3-2-1: Activate!
Xianghua II stood up to Typhoon well, but what will Tony Buchanini and David pull out of the hat? OH, THATS WHAT! A large split down Xianghua IIs wedge and part of the side! Kody backs away and turns around to hit Hazard with the rear. David is ready and OUCH! The rear panel is split...and falls off! The power supply of Xianghua II is now exposed to furthur attack from the spinning tool bar! This is why Hazard has won Battlebots Middweight Competition THREE times! Kody activates the lifter to use as a shield against Hazard. Hazard turns and slices through the side! It is largely crippled now, Xianghua II. It doesnt seem to be moving much anymore. Hazard hits the back end...AND THINGS go flying across the arena floor! A battery pack has been smacked open! Refbot comes in. What a display by Hazard!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
And Kody is out! He made it this far and there is NO shame in coming second place, or any place for that matter. Hazard comes in again. Xianghua II spun away. Its on fire, I think. The 36v NiCad motors have burned out. Hazards blade spins to a stop.

Sigh...I did not like that fight, and I am going to give you several reasons why I did not like that fight:
1. Robots really do not acquire such monstrous damage within those amount of hits, unless its something of MDU standard. And Hazard definitely isnt.
2. Once again, you lack large amounts of detail in your fights, crucial parts.
3. STOP HAVING BOTS CATCH FIRE ALMOST EVERY FIGHT.
4. Xianghua II runs off four S28-400 motors. NiCads arent motors. :P
I think a rewrite is merited this time around. If not, count me out of any tournaments you will open. Sorry if I sound like a jerk, but I stand fully by what I said.

...riight...now, someone correct me if Im wrong, but I have never seen Hazard actually mete out all that much damage in combat against real robots...so...why the sudden uber killing against the basic laws of physicsness here?

So this is a rematch from the first fight. Xianghua II wants to avoid that spinning tool bar of Hazard, because weve seen the damage it has done already! Kody, being very wary, and now he drives forward for the kill! OUCH! Xianghua II is spun to one side, theres a small gash in the wedge! Hazard gets up to full speed again and backs off for another impact, but...whats this? Kody has activated the lifter and RAMS Hazard head on! This time, both robots are knocked off the ground slightly. There is another gash, this time in the lifter! Xianghua II backs away, but what can it do. Hazard spins back up after every impact. Kody takes another chance and charges forth again...OW! Now the lifter is bent and there is an even massive TEAR growing from the first impact upon it. Hazard impressive so far. Another bash! Xianghua II runs away and presses the pit release button, but Hazard follows...and Xianghua II SPUN and SMACKED into the wall! HA-HA...Hazard has smashed up the pit release button! Theres a tear in it. This looks like it is going to the judges. Xianghua II still has the lifter up and rams Hazard again! The lifter is looking limper with every hit on the front. Its good tactics by Kody to protect the interior of the robot, but is it good enough?

I was not and I repeat, NOT trying get any sympathy from anyone by having David win again. I imagined it in my head, as if it was a real fight, and based on what I know, wrote the following rewrite. If it is not up to anyones standards, please let me know as soon as possible
1. Avoid the front like the plague
2. Get under the rear or sides, Carry Drive to the wall
3. THROW IT OUT!!
Much better fight. :) But theres just one more error, and I should have made this clearer before the fight:
Xianghua II is like 10cm high, and Zion in Season 3 was, I think, higher than that. Hazards blade barely scraped Zions top armour. No major changes have been made to Hazard during Season 5, so I doubt Hazards blade can hit her, actually, unless she drive up onto the front wedge, and the wedge wouldnt be hit unless she raised it prematurely, which I stated I wouldnt do while Hazards blade was spinning. Meh.

Back to Hypno-Disc VS Raizer Blade VS Predator: When Hypno-Disc disembowled Predator, a battery came out. When Hypno-Disc smashed the battery (It landed next to RB in the next scene), there was smoke coming out of it. Thats where the fire came from
Thats all really:)
Meh, I just wont count this in my records, thats all.
And batteries do differ, not all of them catch fire instantly when hit, lol

Welcome back to FRFFT: Series One: The Grand Final! Last time, a controversial battle led to Hazard winning the Middleweight Competition.
Next its the Superheavyweight Final
Drive, although it took a fair bit of damage from DYWR, managed to burn out its opponent and push it into oblivion! Joey has repaired the wedge for this battle
Ziggy threw Toro out of the arena. Samuel says he wants to avoid the front of Drive. Not being biased, but it has a good chance of winning
3-2-1: Activate!
Ziggys performance had robots shaking in their boots, will it have the same...no, maybe not as Drive skates around to the back and pushes Ziggy against the wall! Ziggy escapes and FLIPS Drive over! Drive is invertible, but it was thrown a fair height there! Did the landing...no, its OK and trying to come in from the side of Ziggy. Saumel turns away and misses the flip! Wasted Co2 there! Drive underneath the back again and pushes Ziggy across the arena. Look at this from Drive! Ziggy is trying to fight back, but Drive has more traction and pushes Samuel into the Pit Release Button! Drive lets Ziggy go, but this allows Ziggy to spin around and TOSS Drive into the CPZ! It was almost out! Drive gets away and zooms into the centre of the arena. Ziggy pursues and gets under...OHHH! Drive thrown 2 1/2 feet into the air and bounces off the wall, crashing back to earth! I have not seen a flipper this powerful before! Drive is still intanct, but Joey knows he has a fight on his hands here. Charging forward again onto the flipper! Not good control...OHH! Drive thrown against the wall. The wheels are off the ground! Joey cant get away! Ziggy gets under...and OUT goes Drive! Samuel cant believe it! He is the winner of the Superheavyweight Competition in FRFFT! Comiserations to Joey, but he did very well to get this far! Well done, Ziggy!

And now, the featherweight final, Little Hitter VS Deadly Lampshade!
Little Hitter immobilized one side of Skinks drive and pushed it into the pit!
Deadly Lampshade stripped OverDrive to almost nothing with its spinning shell! Daniel isnt too concerned about Martijns robot though.
3-2-1: Activate!
The shell of Deadly Lampshade once again gets up to full speed but Little Hitter zooms in and CRASHES into it! What a brave attack by Martijn! The axe of Little Hitter swings down. Deadly Lampshade is pinned against the angle grinder, but gets away. Little Hitter gives chase. This is a shocking start already! Deadly Lampshade on the backward step, but its up to speed now! Little Hitter swings back and forth with the axe, but Daniel comes in from the side...OUCH! Little Hitter spun away. A small tear in the side but nothing else! Deadly Lampshade comes in again...and THAT wasnt another tear! That was a direct hit and it has SPLIT right into the front armour. A gaping wound now. The impact has slowed the shell down a bit, and Little Hitter gets under with the front wedge and tries to push Daniel onto his side! Martijn has taken a beating, but hes back on top and OH I CANT BELIEVE IT! Deadly Lampshade is on its top! After a poor start, Daniel came back but it wasnt to be! This has to be the turnaround no-one ever expected! Martijn is happy. Little Hitter is damaged, but it doesnt matter! Refbot comes in to count Daniel out!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Little Hitter pushes Deadly Lampshade onto the floor flipper! How far will it go...THAT FAR! Out of the arena! HA-HA!

Id rather lose in a well-written fight than lose in a badly-written fight, or rather than even winning a badly-written fight, Dave, so dont go there. :P
A few more errors in your battles (Joey mentioned that Drive has anti-wedge spikes), Elliot, but generally nothing worth complaining about.
Drillzillas tactics: Get round the sides and back of Envy, basically avoid the front and try to pit, if pit is not nearby smash into walls
Here is the FRFFT: Series One Awards! After counting up the nominations (If there were any, correct me if Im wrong), here they are!
The Best Designed Robot goes to a robot whose design helped it out in battle and stood up to the blows! Well, I cant say any robot survived without scrathes, but the award goes to THE HURTING by Joey McC. The weapon powering another weapon has rarely been used, but it was enough to give it the award! Well done, Joey!
The Best Engineered Robot is the robot that has the most unique way of attack, be it movement or weapons. It goes to FLING, by Daniel S. The spring powered flipper allows it to go down as far as it needs too and hurl robots around at its pleasure! Although it went out in the first round, the rare method of weapon gives it the win! Well done, Daniel!
The Sportsmanship Award doesnt go to a robot, but it goes to the PERSON who didnt complain about losing and was supportive to everyone. This award has to go to MARTIJN B! He hasnt posted one complaint on this thread. Let us all congratulate him!
The Most Original Entry goes to a robot that takes a simple design! DRIVE by Joey McC takes the normal ramming robot design and with EIGHT drive motors, was unstoppable in its first fight. Well deserved, Joey!

Basically, Paul changed the stats of Nitro-Gene to his advantage, and correct me if Im wrong, but in my mind that falls under cheating. This isnt the first time its happened, and people will back me up on this, so...Paul, there better be a good explaination or an apology for this.
Ill use the original Nitro-Gene 5.0 since its the only way well get through this fairly? Does everyone agree?
