Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
I know I need that last spot, but I may as well get this thing started.
Due to its age and experience in competitions like VFT (3rd place, 4th place, and eventual 1st place), FAR (3 times heat-finalist), my own E.O.T.R (2 times heat-finalist, 2 times quarter-finalist) and Mechanical Noise (4th place) I have awarded the task of holding the belt to Wedge Devolution.
Steven has got the belt, but to keep it, he must defeat 3 robots in a row, and then he will be given another belt if he suceeds, but if he loses, the task is passed on to the metal-muncher that defeats him. No retries, no second life and NO MERCY, Steven has been given the task, and the task is to be completed by Steven, or passed on to any of the other robots competing in this tornument. So Steven:

«Wedge Devolution vs. Rupture»
Im actually quite happy with this draw, as Wedge Devo is just the sort of bot that Rupture is designed to annoy. Defencively Ruptures skirts should be enough to stop it getting many flips in at all. If it does flip me over, then I can easily self right with the lifter. My own tactics are quite simple. Ill attempt some box rushing at its skirts and try to get under them. From there I can do pretty much anything with it. In particular Id like to throw it over and over again, and eventually he should run out of gas to self right. Stacking it against the walls and pushing it into hazards when the wheels are off the ground are other options.

Sorry to be picky, but your code is syntactically incorrect...
10 $opponent = alive
20 do while $opponent != dead
30 grab robot
40 squeeze robot
50 wait 30
60 letgo robot
70 if robot != moving then $opponent = dead

I think that Wedge Devo will flip Rupture OOTA, but if AJ plays his cards right Wedge Devo could run out of gas. From Ruptures stats it seems Wedge Devo is its ideal opponent...

Why do I have to face the winner of the first battle? Shouldnt I be somewhere near the bottom?

Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
Tricky. Very, very tricky.
Keep away from the front and aim for the corners of the skirts. Flip Rupture over, get underneath, shove it to the walls and get it OOTA before it can properly self-right. If penetrating the skirts proves difficult, Ill try getting round the sides and pushing it into the killsaws or flywheels. Even if they dont help me get under Rupture, Ill still rack up a few Damage points.

Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
Alright I might as well be the last person to sign up. Heres my bot:
Name: Secret
Shape: Very low invertible box.
Colour: Body cyan, skirts light green, disc white with grey teeth.
Speed: 12mph
Weight: 100kg
Armour: 7mm titanium, 5mm titanium skirts
Drive: 2 S28-400 MagMotors running on 24 volts
Power: 4 NiCad Battlepacks running on 24 volts
Motivation: 2 wheel drive, Vulkalon rubber on the wheels for traction
Ground Clearance: 5mm under side and rear skirts.
Turning Circle: 0
Dimensions: 105cm x 70cm x 10cm
Weapons: Horizontal disc running on 2 S28-400 MagMotors on 24v. The disc is made of hardox, has a diameter of 60cm and weighs 17.5kg. The two 15cm long teeth are also made of hardox and weigh 2.25kg each, so the entire disc weighs 22kg, and thanks to that KE calculator, it produces 97.64kJ. Has a spin-up time of about 4.5 seconds.
Srimech: Invertible.
Strengths: Destructive weapon, good all-rounder otherwise.
Weaknesses: Tires can be hit by axes and crushers, high spin-up time for disc.

Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
At last - the first battle of the Challenge Belt, where the ancient old clash of Steven and AJ occurs once more, this time for the Chain-Mail belt of E.O.T.R experience. Here we go!
MATCH: ONE
Wedge Devolution vs. Rupture
+1>From Glasgow, Scotland, Wedge Devolution!!
-1>Entered by Steven McGregor
Welcome one of the most simplistic but effective vapourbots ever! It€™s a low, sleek 4mm Hardox protected wedge, powered by 2 x LEM130€™s for 18hp in the drive! 16mph is the speed, and flipping is its need with the classic rear-hinged flipper design The flipper itself is powered by 2 X 80mm high pressure pneumatic rams, each running at 250psi. This should allow Wedge to comfortably flip up to 1000kg at the tips, and performing high 1.5 to 3ft flips on the opposition is highly likely! The 7mm ground clearance is protected on ALL sides by BioHazard style skirts, and a front extension to get under everything from other extensions to skirts! It can self-right easily, but with only 2kg worth of gas on board, it could run out of power quite early!
+1>From Bourne, Lincolnshire, Rupture!!
-1>Entered by AJ
There€™s about to be an almighty explosion, and it€™s coming from Lincolnshire! Rupture adopts a low box shape and also contains a factor that gives it ultimate durability, having been fashioned from nuclear fall-out shelters with a 4mm Hardox monocoque construction front hindged at 45*, deflecting spinner hits and getting right under its opponent. For weapons, it has a lifting arm, around 600mm in width, which is hinged at the rear and runs down the front wedge ending in a flat platform running flush to the ground. It is operated by an S28-400 motor run at 24v and geared at 300:1. The idea is to not produce devastating flips, but something that can keep rolling the opponent over and over. It can lift up to full height in under a second and is designed to last the length of a fight, which is an advantage for fighting flippers. MagMotors provide the drive and 15mph is the speed and 12hp is the power, and the skirts of 5mm Ti/V alloy protect the 10mm clearance, but any more powerful pushers may put pay to it!

The sound of rubber squealing as Wedge and Rupture have their wheels try to gain grip on the steel floor, as they burst from their starting boxes. Steven moves out, ever so slightly faster than Rupture, and both robots now crash into each other! Wedge is powering on, and seems to have quickly got Rupture back against the wall, and fires the flipper€¦NO! AJ isn€™t on the weaponry, as thus that was a wasted flip! Wedge now pushes on for another attack, but those motors in Rupture pushes on, and now we see that Rupture is under now! AJ pushes on, lifter ready to raise, and surely and properly, Wedge rolls over! The Scot lands on its back, and Rupture now pushes him, but only for a few yards as Wedge fires its great flipper to flick the great Wedge Devolution back onto its wheels, and powers forward to ram its extension against those tough skirts€¦UNDER! AND OVER! Up soars Rupture, flying 1.5ft into the air and landing right near Wedge, who is under Rupture once more! Steven is performing another fly-high thrust onto its enemy, before it crashes down€¦however, this time Rupture rolls away, and drives off as the lifter kicks in, self-righting the flipped robot! It€™s teetering back the right way up€¦but in storms Wedge to knock it back onto its back! Rupture€™s lifter again erects to full height, and finally we see Rupture back the correct way upwards. Rupture now moves forward, but a stylish turn to the right means that a charging Wedge just powers straight past it, and now AJ puts all the power into those high traction wheels to slam under Steven€™s skirts! The lifter comes in, and over goes Wedge, and now Rupture pushes in across the arena it the direction of the pit release switch! BANG! The pit is released, but so is Wedge - it€™s self-righted, and it€™s getting away from Rupture! AJ is putting on the speed, but Steven turns aggressive, and spins around, the blade siding underneath Rupture as we see the powerful Rupture being moved across the WreckTaGon by Wedge, as Wedge powers it towards the arena flywheels. BANG! Rupture is flipped over, a skirt torn right off€¦and now Steven seeks a victory now it has Rupture where it wants it€¦FLIP! Rupture€™s down and out, and Wedge reverses into the centre of ring and spins in victory!
Result:
Rupture erupts and explodes in a firery fury!

Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
PREDICTIONS:
Wedge to break down at the start, however Cyrilium will simultaneously suffer a sixteen ton weight falling on it and killing it, necessitating a rematch.
In the rematch, Cyrilium will last about a minute before being propped up against the wall and thrown out by the Wedge.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
Hooray! One down! :proud:
Cyriliums essentially a wheeled Mortis from what the stats tell me. Same tactics as before. Aim for the sides and flip it over. The electric arm will take a second or two to right Cyrilium, so dart to the rear before it can and shove it to the nearest wall for an OOTAing.

Mark- we can only assume that lifter of yours is the same as Mortis was. That was back in the 80kg era- your lifter will barely right your 100kg machine, let alone flip another OOTA.

I predict a repeat of Gravity vs. Dantomkia.

+1>From Texas, USA, Cyrilium Mach 2!!
-1>Entered by Mark Elam
Named after a fictional element created by Mark, he plans to make Cyrilium€™s power absolute fact! Shaped like a box-wedge shaped design, powered by 4 x S28-400 MagMotors to motivate 4 Rubber treaded wheels with Aluminium Boron Carbide hubs. For weapons it has a powerful diamond-tipped axe with the ability to pierce thin Hardox armour, as well as a lifting arm for lifting and self-righting reasons. 4mm Hardox, with 1mm Titanium bolted underneath provide armoury for this design, with 17mph being the speed. Despite all this though, the lifter may not be strong enough to overturn an opponent, and it may be flipped due to the 4mm clearance on the sides and rear.

Cyrillium moves off the start-line quickly, but Wedge speeds out nearly as quickly, and goes on a collision course with Cyrillium! CLANG! Wedge slams underneath the body of Cyrillium, with the axe firing away against the Wedge armour€¦but not even worrying Steven, as he powers Cyrillium towards the wall€¦FLIP! Up goes Cyrillium, but it only lands on its back, as the lifter kicks in, hoisting the less experienced competitor back onto its wheels, BUT WEDGE CHARGES IN AGAIN FROM BEHIND! Wedge is underneath Cyrillium, but doesn€™t seem to be carrying him towards the wall - it€™s towards the disc on the gold square! Mark is firing his axe repeated in attempts to break loose, but now Wedge fires a single powerful flip, and Cyrillium is flipped onto its back, axe in the fired position, and NOW WEDGE PUSHES IT INTO THE DISC! The side-armour of Cyrillium takes a dent in the side of its body, and now the lifter activates again, and Wedge pushes on again€¦CLANG! The lifting arm flies away from Cyrillium, and now Mark does the next best thing - run! Wedge is in good pursuit, and slams underneath the front of Cyrillium where the lose axe is hanging. Mark now knows what has happened - the CO2 pipe for the axe is broken, and it€™ll no longer fire! Wedge is underneath, nearer and nearer towards the wall€¦FLIP! Rack up another OOTA for Wedge Devolution!
Result:
Cyrillium Mach 2 falls down a gear - and reverses away from the competition!

Wedge Devolution vs. Requiem
Wedge Devo to win its first belt.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
Now this could be tricky.
Not much to do here but avoid the front drum at all costs and try to get underneath from the other sides. The side spikes, rounded rear and lack of skirts should hopefully make that rather easy. Try outshoving it to the nearest wall and try to toss it out the ring.
If things dont go to plan, try and push/lure it into the killsaws or flywheels. Ill be able to rack up some Damage points, or even break the drum.
-
Eye Of The Robot - Challenge Belt
Ill go for the Wedge to keep its belt forever here.

+1>From Wales, Requiem!!
-1>Entered by Daniel Stickler
No-one knows what this word means, but all we know is it€™s the best for the nastiest robot! Invertible box with a triangular section cut out of the front, which houses the 20kg spinning drum, powered by 2 Huqsvarna 3120XP chainsaw motors. The 5mm Titanium and Vanadium alloy armour is quite tough to break. The weapon is capable of changing gears during a match. Originally, the drum spins at 2400RPM when geared down 10:1, but this can be increased to 2:1 at systematic intervals of 2 gearings (10:1, 8:1, 6:1, 4:1 2:1). The 4mm Titanium drum is fitted with 2 horizontal Hardox bars, welded, screwed and riveted on to avoid them coming off. These are designed not only to flip, but to rip off skirts and armouring. The drum can hit with over 20kj of energy as it spins at 4800rpm. The rear of the robot is rounded and each side has a thick Hardox spike, stopping it from resting on its side. The drive motors are 24V Sinclair C5 motors, producing 18mph, and making a machine to be reckoned with!

Off speeds the deadly drummer robot, and storms into the centre of the arena, drum vicously spinning! Wedge however doesn€™t seem to be too worried at the moment, and plunges into drum head-first€¦and WEDGE IS STRAIGHT UNDERNEATH REQUIEM!! Daniel sees that Wedge now has the pushing power, and is pushing Requiem to the efge of arena at serious great speed as the rams push the flipper upwards€¦FLIP! Requiem spins 1.5ft into the air and lands on the arena wall! Requiem quickly regains traction - enough traction to move itself off the wall. Daniel powers up that drum once more and Wedge gives chase, but this time its Wedge caught out - and the spinning drum has its teeth latch onto it and flip over the Wedge shaped robot! A flick of the flipper and Wedge does a neat self-righting move to land back on its wheels and power again into the front of Requiem and gets that flipper under once again! Up goes Requiem, but it lands right on its wheels again, but Requiem still isn€™t fazed in the slightest, and attacks Wedge from the sides this time. The teeth catch onto Wedge€™s side-armour, and just tilt the Wedge shaped belt-holder onto its side, and now it hits the ground on its back€¦but Wedge immediately self-rights, and Requiem knocks it over again! Requiem tries to make another attack on the belt-holder, but this helps Wedge back onto its wheels! Requiem is intent on winning this and attacks the front of Wedge again, and now starts driving Wedge across the arena, forcing it against the far wall! But now Requiem drives up the wedge, and the flipper activates as Wedge is stacked upon the wall, and now Daniel starts to panic, trying to gain grip to drive off the wall. NO! There€™s no grip, and Wedge has come in, ready to gain another victory€¦FLIP! YES! OUT GOES REQUIEM! Wedge reverses into the centre of the ring, having claimed another victory, and a trophy!
Result:
Requiem requires the ability to be better!
