I predict...
Another of Andres bots to bite the dust.
Back to Rock III is too good for Sir Spinalot me thinks.

You are still doing this tourney right, Chris?
Im not telling you to hurry up or anything, do it at your own pace by all means I jst hope it hasnt died.
Dont worry, its not being discontinued.
Sorry for the lack of updates, but Ive been busy with college work, and also some research concerning the actual show. Youll see why when the vapour competition is over.
...incidentally, what was the secret reason they couldnt be realies? Just out of curiosity.
I may as well tell you.
That was part of the aforementioned research. Alongside the vapour tournament, I was intending to have an All-Stars tournament as well, featuring the eight top Battlebots from each weight division, in pretty much the same sort of tournament as what Im currently doing. So, basically, once I finish with the vapours, Ill be doing some realies as well.
And yes, there will be rumbles, for all eight sets.
Ah, that makes sense. :) *makes mental note to watch more Battlebots*
Thats great Chris. I was just wondering, but now Im happy again...
Its a while till any of my fights anyway. The first one will probably be E cLawdius Unum v System Shock, which Im probably gonna lose anyway unless I can push Steven onto the killsaws.
Good thing Im already redesigning System Shock, I know it hasnt even fought yet, but its old fashioned.
For those wondering, I should have another fight written up on Tuesday or Wednesday.
For Joey, if you wish to do some BB research, I suggest you check up on...

PART 3
Welcome back, Battlebots fanatics. Weve already got a lightweight and a middleweight through to the Semi-Finals, so now lets see if we can get a heavyweight in. Today, our competitors are Back To Rock 3 and Sir Spinalot. Lets check them out...
Back To Rock 3 was built by Martijn M Benschop of Team Varying Every Day. A box shape with a scoop, it has a large lifting arm which incorporates its own sawblade. He should be a tough bot to beat.
Sir Spinalot is another creation of Andre. Looking a lot like The Revolutionist, he has a large spinning bar surrounding his robot.
Anyway, were going ringside now...
Introducing first, in the red square to my left...hes the king of spin. Or, at least, he hopes to be. He wants to rule you with an iron fist, and his spinning blade. Please welcome...SIR SPINALOT!!
And his oppodent, in the blue square to my right...Theres nothing classic about him. He has no vibes, hates heavy metal and the only Pop youll get from him is when he bursts the balloons of other robots success. Hes...BACK TO ROCK 3!!
THE BOX IS LOCKED, THE LIGHTS ARE ON, ITS ROBOT FIGHTING TIME!!
And the first of our heavyweights come forward. They both travel at similar speeds, Back To Rock 3 being slightly the faster of the two. Sir Spinalots blade is starting to spin, but its so massive, it looks like Andre is having difficulty controlling it. Back To Rock 3 manages to get underneath Sir Spinalot. Sparks already start flying, as the saw blade cuts into the titanium. Back To Rock slowly starts to lift Sir Spinalot up. Sir Spinalot is raised higher and higher...a closer inspection of the underside reveals foam! Back To Rocks blade has managed to cut into one of the tyres. Thats not going to do him any favours...OH! And FINALLY, Sir Spinalot is on his back! The weight of his bar proved too much. Back To Rock 3 spins in celebration. Sir Spinalot just lies there. Hes twitching every so often, but he cannot self-right. His bar is just too large and too heavy for the self-righter on top to effectively knock him back over. Theres no way out here. And the referee is already counting down Andres second robot. Once again, he goes nowhere.
*BUZZ!*
And thats it. An easy victory. Now fast forward, and...
THE WINNER, BY KNOCKOUT, IN THE BLUE SQUARE, BACK TO ROCK 3!!
Not close by any definition.
NEXT TIME: Its the big boys. The Superheavyweights. And Sekhmet is ready to rumble. But will he be able to defeat the mighty Flick Of The Wrist? Well see.
Uh...Sekhmets a girl, the only one out of all my creations :proud:
Tactics are up above.
Well, how was I meant to know that? Seriously, how?
I predict...
Flick will beat Sekhmet on a JD
I kind of assumed you knew basic Egyptian mythology, sorry about that...
Oh, I do know about it. I just didnt realise that was the basis for the name.
:lame: Sorry Chris, Ive just realised that Ive named my HW Static Shock when its name is System Shock.
Well, since I dont really want to go through the process of adjusting the line-up AGAIN, would you mind if it was just called Static Shock for the duration of this tournament. Think of it as a Dantomkia/Spitfire routine.
Yeak, OK:)
PART 4
Welcome back to Battlebots. Its been a while, but at least Ive got something.
Today, were with the big boys...the SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHTS. In this battle, Sekhmet will be battling Flick Of The Wrist.
Lets do our check on the robots.
Flick Of The Wrist is a six wheel drive killing machine created by Martijn. It travels at high speeds of 22mph, has great traction and a pair of deadly lifting spikes.
Sekhmet is named after an Egyptian godess and is another creation from Joey. An invertible triangle shape, shes a rammer AND a thwackbot all in one, with an addition weapon in a set of lifters.
Lets go down to the arena floor.
Introducing first, in the red square to my left...she lurks in the middle of the night, looking for flesh and robotics to feed on. Dont anger her, or face the wrath of...SEKHMET!!
And her oppodent, in the blue square to my right...a twitch of the forklift, a rev of the engine and a squeal of pain from his oppodents. If you dont get those, then youre not paying attention. Heres...FLICK OF THE WRIST!!
Now, call me obvious, but it appears as though Flick Of The Wrist has a small scoop positioned between his spikes. Must have something to do with getting under Sekhmet.
THE BOX IS LOCKED, THE LIGHTS ARE ON, ITS ROBOT FIGHTING TIME!!
And off we go, as Flick Of The Wrist charges out with the scoop...OH! And the scoops just come off...Hang on, its got wheels! Its charging off to the side whilst Flick charges at Sekhmet. What the heck is going on here? Well let our technical know-how, So-And-So, explain...
SO-AND-SO: That scoop is actually With You, a middleweight robot that Martijn has also entered into Battlebots. Flick Of The Wrist is, in fact, a heavyweight, so the two of them are working together to form a superheavyweight multi-bot.
...OK, now we know. Sekhmet is spinning around...but Flick Of The Wrist charges straight into her, spikes down. That will make for an effective beach, as Sekhmet is now stuck. Now for Flick to put on the gas, and charge her into the wall...BANG!! A good smash by Flick, straight into the wall. And now hes pinning her there. Of course, you can only do this for 30 seconds, and any worthy Battlebot would let his oppodent go afterwards (yes, Im looking at you, Voltronic!). Which is what Flick now does, backing away to let Sekhmet escape...or NOT! As now With You is taking over, and trying everything it can to box-rush his goliath oppodent, who is 104 whole kilos heavier than him. Five successive slams in a row are foiling Sekhmet to no end. But she gets away, pushing With You back. With You retreats, and now Sekhmet turns to thwackbot mode, spinning around and around. But Flick charges in...hes showing NO hesitation whatsoever! And again, he uses his spikes to lift up Sekhmet, and get her wheels off the ground. Maybe a little drive around the arena...no, that doesnt work, as Sekhmet falls off. But it does allow Sekhmet to get to the side of Flick...and shes gotten underneath and lifted him up, at an angle. With You is slamming into Sekhmet, trying to throw her off his big brother. GO ON SEKHMET! THROW HIM OVER! Yes!! Thats what Sekhmet has done. But, of course, Flick is invertible, he can work both ways up, and he turns around, lowering his spikes. Once more, however, Sekhmet is in thwack mode! Bang! Again, Flick shows no fear, as he buffets the godess, and so is With You, also giving a few box-rushes...but hang on, is Flick damaged? Yes, I can see a dent! A dent in the upper right hand corner. And Sekhmet is still spinning. Flick charges in again...and, once more, his spikes get underneath! Another drive...This time into the hammer!! BANG!! The hammer hits the 5mm titanium top!! Thatll have to hurt in the morning. Sekhmet gets away...and now turns her attention to With You. With Yous scoop gives him 0mm ground clearance, but that ISNT what Sekhmet is aiming for...she spins...OH, and that sent With You straight into the spike strip! He gets away, but that allows Sekhmet to get underneath his 5mm ground clearance elsewhere and flip him RIGHT over! And now hes at a disadvantage, as hes useless when inverted, and Joey knew that. Thats why he had Sekhmet flip HIM over. And AGAIN Sekhmet goes into thwack mode. Another hit on Flick and another dent. With You is trying to ram Sekhmet, but it isnt working. He reverses...OH, STRAIGHT ONTO ONE OF THE KILL SAWS!! And he went flying, but is STILL the wrong way up!! Another thwack from Sekhmet on Flick deflects him slightly, and once more, Sekhmet gets her teeth underneath Flicks ground clearance. Were fast running out of time here in this unusual battle, and I must say that Flicks tactics were good, but its nothing for the true superheavyweight...hes just too light for Sekhmet. Sekhmet lifts him up again and flings him over, With You doing more box rushes...
*BUZZ!*
No, thats it. The battle is over. And now we have to go to the judges. Well, actually, its one judge...I couldnt get the other two to work for free.
(a little while later)
OK, we have a decision...
Ladies and Gentlemen, the judge at arena side has turned in a 9-6 decision, for the winner...IN THE RED SQUARE, SEKHMET!!
Well, an epic fight with one winner, rather than two. Heres how the score looked.
DAMAGE: Sekhmet - 4, Flick Of The Wrist - 1
AGGRESION: Sekhmet - 3, Flick Of The Wrist - 2
STRATERGY: Sekhmet - 2, Flick Of The Wrist - 3
It was, literally, the damage that did it.
NEXT TIME: Back to the lightweights, when Anti-Virus 2.0 takes on Spin Cycle.
Wow! I didnt expect that. Well done Joey
And great fight Chris
Not at all bad...good fight Martijn, and Chris, despite the fact I only just noticed that earlier he referred to a wedge fight as epic, yet destructive :P
Great fight Chris.
Tactics are posted earlier in the thread.
And, once more, were BACK on Battlebots. This time, we have a few more lightweights to play with. Lets check out their vitals before we begin.
Anti Virus 2.0 is the creation of Kody Kunz. Hes basically a ramming box of death, with huge amounts of power and torque for his weight class.
Spin Cycle is your classic thwackbot. The huge momentum hammer swings overhead or spins around to bludgeon robots to death. His creator is long time fanbot-builder AJ.
OK, ring-side.
Introducing first, in the red square to my left...Hes not the most pleasent character to try and befriend, so dont let him get too close, or hell tear out your circuitry, go to the toilet on it and put it back. Hes an infection overdrive; hes...ANTI VIRUS 2.0!!
And his oppodent, in the blue square to my right...First, hell soak you with your own oil. Then hell whirl you around until you throw up, before tossing you up in a soaked mess. Hes the robot that no washing machine would take...SPIN CYCLE!!
THE BOX IS LOCKED, THE LIGHTS ARE ON, ITS ROBOT FIGHTING TIME!!
And the lightweights have it on. And its Spin Cycle off to a fast start. But look at the speed of Anti Virus. Not as quick, but still formidable. The hammer of Spin Cycle spins overhead, and hits Anti Virus. Has it done any damage? Not that I can see. Anti Virus is well armed, and now hes trying to push Spin Cycle, perhaps towards the pulveriser. But Spin Cycle is having none of it, and he rides UP Anti Virus wedge. Thats going to be a problem for Anti Virus, being unable to push Spin Cycle properly. However, its also a problem for Spin Cycle...you see, once again, he tries to land an overhead jab, but Anti Virus pushes him aside, towards the wall...but again, he escapes. The two are sort of cancelling each other out here. But this is where Spin Cycle deploys his second weaponary and he starts spinning. And he is achieving some frightening speeds. Hes saying Come on, hit me. I dare you! to Anti Virus. Someones got to give...and Anti Virus is charging forwards...BOOM!! MASSIVE DEFLECTION!! Both bots sent flying! Anti Virus straight into the spike strip, Spin Cycle onto the kill saws...which choose then, of all times, to pop up. I guess that means goodbye to Spin Cycle Junior. The thwackbot moves away towards Anti Virus...hang on, whats happened to Anti Virus? I think his scoop-wedge has got caught underneath the spike strip. Hes stuck. He cant get anywhere. And, unfortunately, that counts as a dead robot in Battlebots terms. Dont argue with me, I didnt make the rules. Theres no way out for Anti Virus, as Spin Cycle just sits back for the countdown.
*BUZZ!*
And thats it. One major hit, and it was all over....
THE WINNER, BY KNOCKOUT, IN THE BLUE SQUARE, SPIN CYCLE!!
Poor Anti Virus. I had high hopes for him.
NEXT TIME: Killoteeny and ROID do battle for the Middleweight class.

Damn spike strips. :lame:
Least we have some fights, though. :proud:
You still have the rumble to come.
Good fights Chris, and even though they come slowly, at least youre consistently slow :P
This tournament is NOT over!
Its just that, right now, Ive got quite a bit of college related work to do. That, and Ill be at Chester Zoo for the entire weekend. So, just to let you know that Im not letting this tournament go just yet.
All right, youve probably figured by now...Im really not in the go for writing at the moment. I have got a LOT of work to do, and as such I dont really have the inspiration to write fights.
Do not, however, read this as Im stopping the tournament, because I dont do that. Ill post some more when and if I find time.
