I know that Timmy proberbly doesnt deserve a fair fight after what hes done, but Ive found the stats for D-J in a thread called help with vapour
- I just needed to say that.
NAME- D-J (Disc-tructive Jockey)
SHAPE- The shape is essentially the same a Shredder, except it is longer to fit in the extra set of wheels D-J has.
COLOUR- *add this your self tim*
WEIGHT- 100kg
SPEED- 18mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm due to tornado style skid steer system
GROUND CLEARANCE- under the discs at the front is 15mm ground clearance, under the actual body at the front and the rest of the way round is 8mm. *if you wish add skirts to the sides and rear to make it 0mm*
ARMOUR- 5mm titanium
WHEELS- the robot has 8 wheels, although it only runs on for, it is set up in the same way as Big Nipper
POWER- 2 X 24 volt mag motors
WEAPONS- The robot has two discs, which are horizontal. The discs are horizontally next to each other, much like on Shredder. The discs spin in opposite directions inwards, i.e the one on the left spins clockwise and the one on the right spins anti clockwise, like on Shredder, it does more damage this way. It is powered on 36volt mag-motors spinning the discs at 3000rpm, it takes about 5seconds to spin them up to speed
SRIMECH- the robot is invertible

I know that Tim proberbly doesnt deserve to win anyway, but Im just saying this because the winner of Nitro-Genes battle against Die-Ceratops (Nitro-Gene is one of my robots) has to face the winner of the Drillia KIlla vs. D-J battle. If I win, Id rather face D-J than Drilla Killa.

Round 1, Fight 4, Attempt 2
Drilla Killa 7 vs. D-J
Drilla Killa 7 is a box with twin wedges, but the rear wedge is upside down and only comes into play when it gets flipped over, the weapons are a pair of drills, one at either end of the robot, so the drill bit can come out and drill into other machines when they are on the wedge. It has 6 wheels, and the armour is Hardox. Will Drilla Killa drill to victory?
D-J is entered by Tim, and it is essentially a Shredder clone, but with 8 wheels, but set up in a similar fashion to Big Nipper, so 4 on top, 4 on bottom, it has titanium armour, and looks deadly if it catches you with the spinning discs, however it has high ground clearance, but will D-J spin to victory?

D-J comes out of the traps first, spinning its discs up to speed; Drilla Killa is 2nd out of the traps, as both machines are moving in together slowly, DJ has got the slight speed advantage by 1 mph, as Drilla Killa moves in, as both machines meet head on, some sparks fly from the front wedge of Drilla Killa as it gets underneath the front end of DJ, and starts pushing back, when drilling, as sparks fly from the titanium underbelly, as DJ is slammed into the pit release button, as Drilla Killa drives away from DJ, to line up another attack.
DJ comes onto the attack, getting away from the pit area, as the discs are up to speed, Drilla Killa spins, so that again, both front ends meet up, as for the 2nd time of the battle sparks fly from the front wedge of Drilla Killa as it puts on power to get underneath DJ, lifting the front pair of wheels off the ground, as sparks come from the under-side, as DJ is getting pushed backwards, back towards the pit, as Drilla Killa wants an early end, slamming into reverse to get rid of DJ from the wedge, and down into the pit.
Cease
Drilla Killa drills a couple holes in the underbelly of DJ, and drops it into a rather big hole, and moves onto round 2.

Disco-Tech 2 vs. BIACS-LE
Right, it is time for fight 5,
The first robot into the arena today is Disco-Tech 2, entered by Martyn; it is a box with 6 wheels, with a disc at the front and a disc at the rear, which appear to be powered by the same motor using a belt drive, it can run upside down and has Hardox for armour, the sides are protected with skirts, and it has a decent speed of 9 meters per second, so will Disco Tech be spinning to the disco beat tonight?
The 2nd machine into the arena today is the very strange BIACS-LE, which it€™s 2 wheels with a floating disc unit in the middle with a cage at the rear, what€™s strange is that there is no chassis, everything it held together with the armour plus supports, the disc is vertically mounted and powered by a motor buried in the armour supports, and weighs 25 kg, which could hurt if it hits you. 2 arms either side of the floating unit protect the disc from slamming onto the ground. Will the bull in a china shop smash its way to victory?

Both robots don€™t move at the start of the starting whistle, as both machine€™s disc weapons start to spin up to speed before Disco-Tech getting away first and moving in towards Biacs, Matt starts to roll Biacs towards Disco, Martyn flicks on the controls and drives away from Biacs, before spinning around, Matt changes direction to face Disco, as Martyn starts to move in, putting on full power, heading straight towards Biacs, in an attempt to knock out that dangerous weapon, and taking out one of the 2 discs on his machine.
Both machines come together, as Disco goes flying away from Biacs, as Matt puts on full power to get to Disco as it lands, another slam on the front sending Disco into roll, as Biacs comes straight onto another attack, slamming into Disco-Tech at full power, as a piece of the base-plate remains on the ground, the bolts have come away from the chassis, as Disco puts on full power and drives away from Biacs to recover and consider the options, as it is upside down, with no top armour, and both discs bent, Matt only needs a moment and he is right on top of Disco again, as Martyn dodges the attack, as Biacs turns and comes right back onto the attack, sensing the kill soon against the weaponless Disco.
Martyn keeps on running away from Biacs, trying to get around the rear of the machine to catch out the floating cage, as Matt continues chasing Disco-Tech, Biacs slams into the side of Disco as it loses control taking a corner at speed, slamming it into the arena wall, the side skirt flies off, as Disco-Tech lies up against the side wall, the wheels are spinning but there is nobody at home, as Matt pulls back to allow the Ref to count out Disco, not wanting to cause any major damage to the exposed insides of Disco, being a sportsman.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and there goes the red card, as Disco-Tech 2 is counted out.

Round 1, Fight 6
Death Threat vs. Boxy
The first machine to enter the arena today is Death Threat, it is a tracked machine with a front wedge and some deadly looking crushing arms at the front, skirts protect the rear of the machine, however its top speed is only 10 mph and with exposed tracks on the top, it could get de-track-ed, with any luck Danny hopes his machine won€™t fly out of the arena in less than 10 seconds like it did in series 2 when it came up against Nitro-Gene.
The 2nd machine into the arena today is Boxy, it is a 3 wheel drive box, made of cardboard glued onto a wooden chassis, with an office chair in the middle, and it has a silly face for a weapon, and hopes to make other robots laugh themselves so it can attack. However it has no self-righter and has a high ground clearance.

And Boxy is away first, rolling towards Death Threat which slams into the front end of Boxy, bringing the crushing arms into play, as the armour gives up being armour and turns into cardboard and rips away from the chassis, as Death Threat is pushing Boxy backwards, slamming it into the arena wall, as the entire armour comes away.
Death Threat drops the armour and comes back onto another attack, crushing into the wooden chassis like it was made of wood, crushing into the front wheelchair motor, can Boxy do anything? Danny pushes Boxy back into the pit release button, opening the pit, turning, and starts to push Boxy towards the pit, as it falls down the large hole, Death Threat spins around.
Cease
Death Threat causes an upset and beats Boxy and moves onto round 2.

So it is time for the next few matches, written at work when the Mess has been quiet due to it being a Wednesday €˜sports€™ afternoon, so let€™s see if I can crack on with doing the 4 matches I have the details for
I€™m going to try and do something rather different, which I don€™t think has been tried before,
Round 1, Fights 7 & 8
In arena 1: Wedgas Revenge vs. GBOD
In arena 2: Tenderizers Revenge 2 vs. Resonance
The first machine into the first arena for this special duel-battle, where both battles are to be decided side-to-side, is Wedga€™s Revenge. This machine was entered by Andy J, Wedga is a cut-off wedge with a front scoop, powering the 4 wheels by 2 LEM 130 motors. The weapon is a nitrogen powered flipping arm, which rests inside the front scoop, away from danger, the armour is some tasty Hardox, however it has limited flips, and due to the nature of nitrogen, after a while, each flip gets less and less powerful.
The first machine into the second arena is Tenderizer€™s revenge 2, which will be known as TR2. TR2 is an invertible box, with front & rear wedges, with some handy skirts on the sides which can move up or down, but not left or right or into another universe, depending on whenever Richard wants to go on the defence and be a damn hard object to get underneath raising to skirts off the ground so he can drive the machine around and attack. The main weapon is an arm, which can swing around 360 degree, though a special gap in the machine, I would imagine, so it can be used when upside down or when reversing into attack.
The 2nd machine into the first arena today is the Giant Ball of *checks stats* Death, more commonly known as GBOD. The machine is a full-bodied spinner, need I say more? Yes I do, it has 4 wheels (I think), powered by 2 Bosch motors, the weapon is powered by a Plettenberg Predator Brushless motor, the ground clearance is 1CM all around, which could be a problem if it comes up against a brick which can stall the spinning body and flip, as the self-righting method has proven unreliable in the past, but GBOD has caused quite a lot of damage in the past, will it continue it€™s run?
The final machine into the 2nd arena today is Resonance, entered by Aaron, it€™s is a drum with wheel pods on either side of the drum, the drum has some nasty cutting bits on it and is powered by a single motor inside one of the wheel pods. The drum doesn€™t spin that fast, but it spins which quite a lot of torque to damage and lift other machines away. However, I would imagine it doesn€™t turn as quickly as other machines as the machine is quite wide, but Aaron is one of the best drivers around.

And both refs show the green cards, as all 4 machines get on their way, Resonance and GBOD have started to spin their weapons to get them up-to speed, as GBOD dodges Wedga€™s initial starting surge trying to catch GBOD before it could spin up-to speed. Meanwhile in the other arena, Tenderizer€™s revenge has started to drive towards Resonance, as Richard tries to think up with a game plan in order to take advantage of Resonance, and starts to circle Aaron€™s machine, as Aaron keeps the front end pointing towards Tenderizer€™s revenge at all times to avoid a surprise attack. Wedga has launched another attack towards GBOD, as Leo flicks the controllers of Gbod to avoid the front end of Wedga, as Leo flicks once more, as first contact is made, as the spinning body of Gbod hits the skirted side of Wedga.
Sparks fly from the skirt, as it reflects the blades by bending with the energy, as Wedga reverses away from danger as Gbod is up-to speed, once more. Resonance has launched into attack mode, and drives towards Tenderizer€™s revenge, Richard turns to try and launch an attack of his own, trying to clam the triangular ends of the drum, as Aaron makes a mild adjustment, as the drum slams into the front corner of Tenderizer€™s revenge, as Andy launches Wedga into the 4th attack, driving straight into Gbod, guessing Leo€™s dodge and acting to dodge the dodge, as the front wedge hits into the spinning blades of Gbod, the force sends Gbod spinning away, as a large scar is in the front wedge of Wedga, not that deep though, as the blades of Resonance rip into the polycarbonate protection of Tenderizer€™s revenge, as Aaron continues, ripping into the moveable skirt, trying to damage it by the weakness that is the hinge, which is the same weakness of Wedga€™s skirts, as Gbod comes back onto attack, getting a decent hit, ripping the skirt off the body, as Wedga turns, getting underneath Gbod when it€™s not up-to speed as Andy rams it.
Which is what Resonance is doing to Tenderizer€™s revenge, not ramming it, but as the spinning drum catches Tenderizer€™s revenge on something solid, flipping Richard€™s machine onto it€™s back, as Tenderizer€™s revenge using the few seconds before Resonance is back onto attack to run away, the skirt slightly damaged in the way that the rear moves, but the front doesn€™t, as the skirt at an angle. In the other arena Wedga presses the flipper button, as Gbod is flipped, bouncing against the arena wall, coming away from the wall, as Tenderizer€™s revenge 2 drives straight towards Resonance, as Aaron holds the good ship steady in the stormy seas, as Tenderizer€™s revenge slams straight into the frontal drum, as the rear wedge gets underneath, as the arm comes up, as Gbod lands on it€™s wheels, as Leo drives away from danger, to spin up to speed, as Resonance hits into the arm, forcing it backwards, and off the gears which power the arm, as Resonance hits into the exposed skirt, ripping it away from the body, as Gbod comes back onto the attack, driving towards the skirt-less side of Wedga, in the attempt of causing some internal damage to Wedga, as Resonance drives into Tenderizer€™s revenge, the arm stuck up, as the spinning drum slams into the side, sending TR2 over, so it is resting on the arm itself, as Gbod slams into Wedga, spinning Wedga away, leaving some minor damage to the outside of the Hardox shell, but that energy must have gone somewhere, as Tenderizer€™s revenge is stuck again, freeing it from the position, but at the cost of the other skirt, as Wedga turns, and launches into an attack onto Gbod.
Tenderizer€™s revenge looks a mess, no weapons, no skirts, as Resonance slams into the right hand side, causing some lovely damage to the titanium shell, as Wedga hits into Gbod head-on, causing Gbod to spin away, as Andy keeps on top, and slams into Gbod again, flipping it away landing Gbod onto it€™s back. Leo spins the weapon around which frees Gbod away and back onto the wheels, as Tenderizer€™s revenge is down and looks like it is out for the count, as the ref starts to count it down, Richard€™s machine comes back to life, catching Resonance off guard, slamming into the side wheel pod, pushing Resonance sideways, before Aaron can free his machine, as Gbod gets slammed into once more by Wedga, as Andy fires the flipper again, sending Gbod onto it€™s back, as Wedga moves forward, a loud bang is heard, as Resonance hits into Tenderizer€™s revenge at full speed, sending Richard€™s machine into a roll, as it lands, side armour laying all over the shop, rear wedge holding onto the robot just, as Resonance slams into Tenderizer€™s revenge once more, as the wedge departs from Tenderizer€™s revenge, as Wedga moves forward, slowly, as Gbod is spinning around, trying to free itself, as Wedga slams into Gbod once more, stopping the spinning top. 20 seconds remain in both battles, as Tenderizer€™s revenge is driven away from Resonance, circling it, trying to avoid any more damage, as the flipper fires on Wedga sending Gbod over the arena wall, as the time is slowly ticking down for the 2nd battle. Wedga turns but stops, Andy tries to move, but there is a worried look on his face, as the flipper fires to show there is life, as Resonance moves into a final attack before the time ends, slamming into the rear end of Tenderizer€™s revenge, flipping it over once more.

Wedga€™s Revenge has flipped Gbod over the arena wall, and is though to round 2, but with some serious damage, as Resonance€™s battle against Tenderizer€™s revenge has got to go to a judge€™s decision, as Aaron thinks he has the victory on damage alone.
Wedga is removed from the arena, as Andy breaks open the body shell to find some rather shocking news, the motors have physically broken loose of the chassis, due to the shocks shearing the bolts holding the motors down, causing some nasty damage to the drive reduction system, but it is repairable. As the judges have finished inspecting both machines to take into effect the damage caused to Tenderizer€™s revenge, as all the broken pieces are picked up and placed into a carrier bag, Richard looks like he has lost, as the scores come in.
Damage Caused - 10 points to Resonance, 0 Points to Tenderizer€™s revenge, as Tenderizer€™s revenge caused no damage to Resonance which is notable
Aggression - 7 points to Resonance, 3 points to Tenderizer€™s revenge.
Control - 8 points to Resonance, 2 points to Tenderizer€™s revenge, Aaron only allowed himself to get attacked twice, where Richard got a bit beaten up by side-attacks
Total: Resonance 25, Tenderizer€™s revenge 5.
Resonance moves onto round 2 with a 25-5 decision over Tenderizer€™s revenge 2, as Andy has a couple hard nights with some spanners, and that is before he gets to work on fixing Wedga to face the pit-ball terrier of Flick of the Wrist, as half of the round 1 matches have been competed, so I ask you€¦

Half-way though the round, 8 machines are into the 2nd round and another 8 machines have been sent home.
Turbo Tails vs. Counter
The first machine into the arena today is Turbo Tails, which is a short low box, with front wedge and rear spinning bar mounted on the top of the machine. This spinning bar spins at around 2 and a half thousand rpm. The power for the drive comes from 4 wheels and the armour is Hardox, with a layer of fur on top of the armour. The self-righter is a front hinged flipper, at the front.
The 2nd machine into the area today is Counter, but due to Counter being stupid, and driving into the swimming pool on the way to the warehouse today, it has been replaced by everybody€™s favourite machine, yes people it is the return of Woody, the wooden robot, but due to damage against Drilla Killa, it has only got rear-wheel drive, with the front wheels being there to hold up the front.

Turbo Tails spins up it€™s spinning bar, as Woody doesn€™t move, the driver of Woody, a mysterious man all in black, and wearing sunglasses, is trying to get the comedy robot to move, as Turbo Tails slams into the side with the bar, ripping though the wooden armour like it was made of wood, as Woody jumps forward, before stopping dead. Another slam from Turbo Tails, this time from the front, flipping Woody onto it€™s side, before spinning around and destroying Woody.
20 seconds later, Turbo Tails comes back, with Woody in a pile of firewood, wheelchair bent and destroyed.

Turbo Tails destroys Woody and moves into the 2nd round.
The next battle will see the return of the champion, as Shiny Happy People takes on The May Tracks Has You.

Round 1, Fight 10
Shiny Happy People vs. The May Tracks Has You (1)
The first robot into the arena today is Shiny Happy People, looking shiny, with thanks to Robbie Williams making his last album completely rubbish, the CDs are attached to some lovely cardboard, attached to a wooden chassis, with the front wedge which doesn€™t actually go anywhere near the ground, the power comes from some old VW group windscreen wiper motors, so the top speed is limited to 4 mph, with hardly any power to push other machines backwards.
The 2nd robot into the arena today is the robot everybody wants to beat, it is May Tracks has You. Frank€™s tracked machine is unchanged from the last series where it beat everything, with it€™s Hardox shell, flipper, spikes at the front of the wedge to trap other machines to rip their wheels. The ground clearance is covered by skirts, however the skirts are only 3mm titanium, so if Frank isn€™t careful and gets hit by a spinner, the skirts could say goodbye, but Frank is a very good driver, being able to control the tracked machine to keep the front end pointing at other machines.
But both machines are in the arena, as the clock is ticking down, slowly to midnight, tick tock, tick tock, until a deal is stuck at the 59th minute of the 11th hour, so the nuclear war is put on hold, which is good, which allows us to:

The May Tracks Has You launches forward, driving straight towards Shiny Happy People, as the driver of Shiny Happy People drives towards May Tracks, as Frank gets underneath the front ground clearance of Shiny Happy People, pushing it towards the arena wall, without any restriction from Shiny Happy People as the flipper fires sending the wooden machine over the fence, crashing down onto the camera tracks.

Shiny Happy People didn€™t have a chance, as May Tracks moves onto round 2, as all 3 comedy machines are out, as 6 matches remain, as Flyte vs. Autosim is next up.

Hehe! Thats a very good idea Dave, and I enjoyed it alot. I also thought the idea of ending both matches at once was very clever. Although it got very confusing, I think if you did the two battles in different colours that concept would be pretty good. Very original concept anyway, good stuff! :)

OK. My go with Autoism, and the first EVER fight for either of Autoism and Flyte, so it should be quite interesting. Ive already read the prediction and tactics for Flyte and it seems he wants me to attack him first so Aaron can use the power drive tactic to lower his front down and get under me. Go ahead - hell stop and Ill just drive straight into the sides of Flyte!
He has Titanium skirts, so lower my Hardox pliars down so I can grip onto them. Then slam him into the walls with my Storm 2 like power (By the way, Autoism is more powerful than Flyte, so I can break the skirts) and then ram him into the walls and attempt o rip the skirts OFF! If hew gets under, no problem - I can drive inverted, and given that his flipper produces 600kg at the tips, Ive got little to fear, in that he wont (in most cases) get me OOTA in 1 flip. So basically, drive in, grab the skirts, and drag him to the pit release button and then shove him down.

Autoism VS Flyte
Flyte hasnt got the statistical advantage, but its a hell of a lot smaller then Autoism (Making it hard for him to catch and attack) and its going to be a heap more controllable with 15MPH compared to his 23MPH speed. HP means nothing really if you cant get it to the floor, Storm 2 has been out pushed by Tornado... Ill also remove the skirts from Flyte for this battle.
Because of his speed, his skirts are going to bounce along the floor, regardless of them being tensions down with springs (Unless they were tensiond so much that they start lifting the bot up..) so as hes flying around the arena in an uncontrolled manor, Ill take a shot from the side, push him to the wall and flip him over or stack him against the wall.
Flyte to manuver, dodge and evade all Autoisms attacks and strike when he makes a mistake.

Round 1, Fight 12
Acronyms vs. Hypertension Mk 3
The first robot into the arena today is A Robot with an Even Longer Name Because I Still Believe Acronyms = For the Win, also known as Acronyms. Entered by Frank, this low hexagon shaped machine has a 4-way crusher at the front of the machine, designed to crush other robots from 4 ways, and even if one of the 4 arms gets caught, the other 3 arms can continue to crush other robots to death. The armour is only titanium, but with some polycarbonate on top. It can run upside down, but is slow to self-right (I don€™t get it). It has 2 wheels which are powered and some castors at the front and rear as well. The sides are covered with skirts, but not the rear which is exposed.
The second robot into the arena today is Hypertension Mk 3, Hypo for short. Matt would be looking for revenge as it was a Frank machine which put out Hypo in the last tournament. Nothing has been changed since the robot which got pitted by May Tracks, apart from some new wheels. The robot still has a nasty powerful flipper at the front, Hardox armour and 2 wheels at the back which are powered and 2 castors at the front. Hypo has no skirts, so the sides and rear are open for attack, but thanks to not having skirts, it can turn easier and attack, attack, attack!
So it is the battle of the castors!

Acronyms is away first, using it€™s lems to power it up to speed quickly as Hypo holds back, Matt€™s machine has the advantage in the manoeuvrability war, with it not having skirts compared to Acronyms, and also a slight speed advantage, as Matt sets Hypo off, as both machines are heading towards each other. Hypo dodges and tries to get around the sides of Acronyms, to try and breach the side skirts, however Frank turns Acronyms around quickly and comes onto the attack. Hypo reverses away from the front claws before they can crush the Hardox.
Matt spins Hypo around and comes back onto the attack, in a suicidal mission, heading straight towards the jaws, which are lowered, ready to scoop up Hypo, as Matt spins the wheels, taking Hypo away from the front end, as Frank starts to turn Acronyms around, to try and defend against the flipper, which given one wrong move could put Acronyms out of the arena, both machines are turning around, as Hypo comes in. The first contact is made as the front wedge of Hypo gets underneath the front end and quickly fires the flipper, sending Acronyms over. Hypo doesn€™t need a second chance as Matt puts in forward drive, getting underneath Acronyms, Frank tries to do everything he can think off to escape, as the carbon dioxide starts to flow into the flipper rams of Hypo, firing the flipper up, sending Acronyms up and over the arena fence, as it crashes down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
Frank is unhappy that he didn€™t get to play with his crushing jaw, but Matt is happy, as Hypo moves onto the 2nd round.
Next time it is the 2nd attempt at fight 11 (Flyte vs. Autosim), before the return of the 2nd seed against the legend of Die-Ceratops, in Nitro-Gene 2 (2) vs. Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus.

Autoism vs. Flyte
Since Aaron is removing his skirts, which effectively spoils my plan (you evil man Aaron :wink:) Im not going to use my lifter, since itll be easier for me just to grip onto Flyte and just drag it into the pit. No worries about him getting for my sides - Ill just keep him in front of me ad stop if ever he gets to my sides/reverse if he gets to my sides.
Nitro-Gene 2.0 (2) vs. Die-Ceratops ReInvertus
Im quite worried about Die-Ceratops, mostly because of its noted reputation for taking out the big-name robots (eg. Tempest Evil-er-lution, Infusion, Achilles, Tough As Nails, ForcePower 5.0). But I believe that I stand a good chance of beating him, as hes use to taking on skirted robots - I have no skirts, making me more controllable. If he gets under me, then reverse - I have the acceleration :proud:. Im not going to use my flipper, unless I have him near the wall, or Im upside-down, in order to conserve them.

Nitro-Gene 2 (2) vs. Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus
The first robot into the arena today is the 2nd seed and runner-up from the last series, Nitro-Gene 2. Paul€™s machine has been given a mild facelift, replacing the motors for some Lems, upgrading the flipper to Hardox and drilling some holes in the side armour to lose weight. However the major weakness comes when it gets flipped over, due to the way the flipper works, means Nitro-Gene does wonderful somersaults in the air.
The 2nd robot into the arena today is Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus, entered by Chris; this Wheely Big Cheese look-a-like has a massive flipper at the front, and wheel protectors, the armour is titanium, which could be it€™s downfall against some of the ultra-spinners, but that flipper can toss quite far. However it is quite long, so it is not as agile as some of the robots around today, and it€™s old enough to be sent a new bus pass from the government.

And both powerful flipper machines are away, not wanting to give anything away early one, as both drivers know that one mistake would mean some free flying lessons over the wall, as Chris turns the controls, keeping the front end pointing towards Nitro-Gene, as Die-Ceratops, is ready to attack, Paul is holding back, waiting to see if Chris will make the first attack, both are circling the arena, as suddenly Nitro-Gene makes a break for it, charging towards Die-Ceratops. Paul turns the controls, to try and get underneath the side of Die-Ceratops, but Chris knows all the tricks in the book, and manages to action a text-book standard counter-dodge, as both machine clashes together in a Forgotten Melody.
There is a rush of gas to the head, as Die-Ceratops gets the first flick of the flipper into play, which doesn€™t do a lot, as Nitro-Gene slams into Die-Ceratops, pushing it towards the wall, Chris gets ready with a recovery as Nitro-Gene fires Die-Ceratops, as Die-Ceratops fires it€™s flipper, as it slams into the arena wall, bouncing back onto it€™s wheels, and comes straight back onto the attack. Paul reverses away from Die-Ceratops, trying to keep away from the flipper front end, as Chris comes back onto the attack, onto his second life, as he doesn€™t hold back, and comes straight in onto Nitro-Gene, Paul dodges, as Die-Ceratops attacks once more, Nitro-Gene dodges once more, and Die-Ceratops attacks for a third time, as Nitro-Gene dodges for a third time, as Chris makes a mild adjustment as Die-Ceratops gets underneath the front end of Nitro-Gene and flips it straight onto it€™s back.
Paul is in trouble now, as Die-Ceratops is still on his back, Nitro-Gene drives away from danger, but unable to use the flipper to self-right, as that would give Die-Ceratops an opening to attack again, as around Nitro-Gene and Die-Ceratops go on the merry-go-round, as Chris breaks loose and comes back onto the attack, Paul dodges once more, as Nitro-Gene spins around to the rear end of Die-Ceratops, and slams into the rear end, pushing the 2 wheel drive machine towards the arena wall, slamming Die-Ceratops into the wall at top speed, as Die-Ceratops spins away, the front wedge slightly bent upwards, but Chris doesn€™t mind as he comes straight back onto the attack, as Nitro-Gene uses those few seconds to fire the flipper, sending the machine into a spin, as it lands the right way up, Die-Ceratops is back onto the attack, however that damage to the front could count against it, as Nitro-gene comes back onto the attack, Chris dodges the attack, and tries to gets underneath the sides of Nitro-Gene, as both machines enter into a flipper dance.
Nitro-Gene breaks free and rams into Die-Ceratops, Chris taken by surprise, but spins away from Nitro-Gene, 30 seconds are left on the clock, as Paul is trying to make up attacking points, Die-Ceratops spins around and tricks Nitro-Gene into making a false move, as Die-Ceratops puts on full power, getting underneath the side of Nitro-Gene, and flips it over once more, before Paul drives off the flipper, as Nitro-Gene lands onto it€™s back once more, Die-Ceratops is back onto the attack, as that flip must has damaged something inside Nitro-Gene, as it€™s a bit slow to response to Paul€™s radio controller, as Nitro-Gene pulls away from Die-Ceratops, as 10 seconds is left on the clock, Die-Ceratops comes back onto the attack, Nitro-Gene dodges the attack, and comes back onto another attack, driving straight towards Die-Ceratops, Chris dodges once more, as Nitro-Gene slams into the side of Die-Ceratops, as Chris spins away, away from the upright Nitro-Gene.

In a flipper fight where there wasn€™t that many flips, the result will have to be decided by the judge, who wishes to inspect both machines for damage, and to look more closely at the slightly bent front wedge of Die-Ceratops.
Judge Cook€™s Report
Damage Caused:
Overall, there wasn€™t a lot of external damage caused in the battle of wits, with the only notable damage being to the front wedge of Die-Ceratops, so I award Die-Ceratops 3 points, and Nitro-Gene 7 points.
Aggression:
Overall, Die-Ceratops was the most aggressive, launching more attacks, and getting Nitro-gene onto its back twice, Nitro-gene had 2 notable attacks, 1 nearly saw Die-Ceratops out of the arena, and the 2nd caused that damaged, however Die-Ceratops has the upper hand getting 6 points compared to Nitro-gene€™s 4 points
Control:
Both robots were well controlled, defending themselves against attacks well, and not doing anything really stupid, there isn€™t anything to separate the two machines, so I award both machines 5 points each.
Totals: Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus: 14 points, Nitro-Gene 2: 16 points.
In the closest of battles, Nitro-Gene beats Die-Ceratops in a 16-14 decision.

By the way, Dave, the other thing about Nitro-Gene is that its now a box with a wedge on the front, whereas before it was a box with a flat front.
But other than that, WOOT! Im very happy about the way Nitro-Genes been doing, but I have to look towards what happens later on it the competition to see how far itll get.

Round 1, Fight 14
Eternia vs. Dante
The first robot into the arena today is Eternia, entered by Leo; this low wedge has a flipper, and is black. The drive system is provided by some motors, giving quite a bit of get-up and go, to attack with the front flipper, the sides have a slight ground clearance of 5mm rising to 10mm at the rear.
The 2nd robot into the arena today is Dante, it is a 2 wheel drive machine, with a nasty flywheel hanging out of the front, protected by some lifting bars which are also the self-righting system if it gets flipped, my main worry is that Dante could be slow to self-right, if it gets flipped, and that 25kg flywheel hanging out at the front, could provide some comedy handling at high speeds, the machine is fast and it has some good armour.
The machines are in the arena, Alex is looking on, controller in hand, Leo is also in the other control booth, controller not in hand, but in a Mortis style controller-holder.

And it€™s a fast start for Eternia, as it doesn€™t wait around as it comes straight onto the attack, as Dante reverses to try and defend itself when the flywheel is still spinning up-to dangerous levels, Alex spins Dante around, keeping the front end pointing towards Eternia, which is like a runaway train, and not wanting to stop, heading towards Dante. Alex dodges away from Eternia, but Leo flicks the controls and both robots come together, Eternia flicking the controllers at the last minute to avoid hitting the flywheel head-on.
The flipper fires on Eternia, as Dante is flipped up, the rear frame keeping it from going over onto it€™s back, but Eternia is underneath the flywheel, as it spins away in the air, as Leo pushes forward on the controllers, as Dante€™s wheels spin, trying to get traction, as the flipper fires, sending Dante against the arena wall, another flip from Eternia and Dante is on it€™s back, the arms start to move to free itself from the wall, as Eternia gets another flipping attack in.
And it is 3rd time lucky for Eternia, as Dante is thrown over the wall, the flywheel crashing into the helpless camera, ripping it to shreds, which is a shame as that camera was 1 day away from retirement.

Dante didn€™t get any time to itself as Eternia puts it over the fence, after 3 attempts, but it is Eternia going forward to round 2 to face the champ.

Alright, restating tactics...
Orka MK4 vs. Avarice (4)
Orka is shovey, pushy, but not more manoeuvrable than Avarice. If we meet scoop to scoop, than I can simply twist and get to his sides instantly, like the annoying omni-git I am. :proud: Pound away, the axe shouldnt break off this time, even after repeated blows. Dont hit him with the axe when we are scoop to scoop, as that will cause Avarice to jump about and give Orka a huge opportunity to get under him. Focus on the sides, rear, and hammer away. Shove down the pit if I get under him with the scoop at all. Dont let him get at my own. Despite my 8mph top speed, Avarices acceleration is quite good, so evading should be a piece of cake.
Baldur Gamma vs. Tira III
I must thank Frank for pointing out Baldurs weaknesses. :proud: Well my focus will still be the sides, and Tira should be able to knock the side panels off of Baldur with some good hits. Baldurs scoop is tough, so avoid that, but even hitting that might make the scoop malfunction. Avoid it anyway, keep to the sides and rear, and smack away. Tiras own front scoops should send Baldur into the disc if he tries to make a break around them, and even if he does get around to the sides, there are skirts there, and at the rear, so hopefully Tira will come out of this okay. :)
