And AJ, house robots stats are supposed to be a little vague. :proud: But if you want to know what powers Asterix, its probably a couple of LEM200s and NiCAD battlepacks. :proud:

Im fairly sure Sheer Heart Attacks drum is more powerfull, as is SHAs drive, and SHAs tracks should give it good agility too

Sheer Heart Attack vs. Tornado
Sheer Heart Attack will give somebody a heart attack. :proud: Its 110kg and its movitation are two large titanium tracks with rubber strips for traction. Powering those bad boys are LEM130 motors, achieving a top speed of 15mph for awesome acceleration. Its weapon is a 22kg spinning drum, also LEM powered and spinning at 5000rpm, producing 40kJ. Those tracks could be messed around with, but its very unlikely.
Tornado is quite a tornado indeed, making the Semi-Finals in Series 4, winning Series 6, and making the Grand Finals the next series. Its got quite a powerful drive system and different weapon set-ups. For this battle it will use the drum, but is it strong enough to take out those strudy tracks? Its not as fast as SHA, and it can be flipped pretty easily too...

We are off: Crash & Burn Extreme, Heat A, and All-Stars in one battle! And so is Sheer Heart Attack, straight off towards Tornados left side, but Tornado isnt going to let the battle go this early and goes right for the tracks! All of a sudden, SHA stops and retraces his steps, sending Tornado flying right in front of him! The heart attack drives itself into Tornados side!
CRASH!
Tornado goes for a loop, knocked skyward by 40 kilojoules of force and several hardox teeth, and lands right onto his back, side armour scratched up, but that doesnt really make a difference because his drum works both ways up. It does, however, give SHA another shot for a drum hit, but before he can take that chance, Tornado takes it out of his hands by driving away towards the pit release button. SHA chases after him but cant beat him to the button, as the pit descends just as the button is slammed into, but SHA rams into Tornado from behind a second later, drum spinning wildly!
CRASH!
The drum does its job again, and Tornados rear end is thrust upwards, so far, in fact, that Tornado is stacked right up against the wall, standing on his own drum! SHA knows now that the battle is won, and backs off to let the referee count down, as the house robots draw near!

And SHA comes forward again, slamming into Tornado, to possibly try to fling them over the fence, but it doesnt work, and only rights Tornado off the wall! Tornado spins right around, but theyre already out, so its a moot point at this moment in time! The Tornado boys seem to realize this too, but theyre not going down the pit without a fight! Asterix comes flying towards the shover, but Tornado comes right at him, and gets under him, and smashes him into the wall, actually landing the house robot on his side, unable to right himself! Martijn decides to team up with his defeated opponent, and maneouvres SHA towards Exa-Gore-Ic, who realizes whats about to happen and turns to face SHA with the claws open, only to find Tornado at the side, trying to shove him around! Tornados drum hardly does anything, but Exa-Gore-Ic cant turn without exposing his side to SHA, and so drives right at SHA to try and stop his weapon from getting at the sides, but SHA meets the claws and tears at them, bending one of them severely! Thanks to this Exa-Gore-Ics bent claw is now higher than SHAs drum, and driving into it finds himself between a SHA and a Tornado, and theyre turning him around and shoving him...INTO THE PIT!!! :proud: Oh I say! Tornado and SHA spin around in victory, but there could only be one winner.

Double Killa has had a good sucess record, but its lightweight. Thats the major key to my plan...
Double Killa hasnt got the weight advantage to insert some powerful motors, and so its gone for Bosch motors in each, which is good, but NOWHERE near as good as my Eteks. (2 x Bosch 24V makes 2hp. 2 x Eteks 46V makes 30hp)
My flipper can flip 1500kg, enough to send a 100kg robot flying about the arena almost all the time. Whats it going to do to DK? :uhoh:
I also have more accelaration and speed than either parts of Double Killa, so Ill prevent him getting to my sides, and flip both parts all around the arena, until something breaks
If that fails, flip one OOTA or pit it!

Nitro-Gene vs. Double Killa
Nitro-Gene looks to be the best yet out of newcomer Paul Cuomos squad. Hes got an invertible box shape with sloped sides and rear, just like Tornado. Whats NOT like Tornado are the 6WD, 4mm hardox, and full-pressure nitrogen flipper capable of flipping 1500kg! It looks quite good, too, with the Etek motors which help it get to its 18mph top speed, but the side and rear ground clearance is a really poor 20mm! This could surely be taken advantage of.
Double Killa is quite the killer. Richard Southworth also makes his first appearance in the C&BT series, with his clusterbot. DK1 is a Spawn Again-like wedge with a CO2 flipper and 13mph speed. DK2 is an invertible box like Drillzilla with Kan-Opener style claws and a Pussycat style vertical spinning blade at the rear, plus 16mph top speed. Both sport 4mm hardox armour, can prevent getting stranded on their sides, and have skirts to prevent wedges from getting under, but are severely weak fighting one-on-one against heavyweights.

Nitro-Gene speeds right towards the linked clusterbot, who does not split up but attacks Nitro-Gene closed together. Paul is a bit too eager and drives straight for DK1s front, resulting in Richard getting under it, but Nitro-Gene flies over the top of it before DK1s flipper can react, and lands at its rear. At that, the clusterbot splits. DK2s claws open and DK1 turns around, as both parts head for Pauls machine. Nitro-Gene decides to attack DK2 first, and this is the better case, as DK2s claws cant quite fit around Nitro-Genes width. This means that DK2 drives right onto the flipper; Nitro-Gene drives forward and Paul hammers the flipper button as they near the wall. Richard is stunned, as DK2 is tossed right over the wall, and out! (Normally this would mean that Double Killa is out, but since this is my tournament and Im nice to clusterbots, I will allow the second part of the cluster to continue fighting :proud:) Richard goes to try and attack Nitro-Gene using DK1, and it proves that the middleweights flipper is lower than Nitro-Genes, as Pauls bot rides up the flipper, and is tipped onto its back by a flip! Nitro-Gene activates its flipper and launches itself into a 540, rather like a 600, landing on its nose, but no damage to the hardox front. DK1 charges forward, rather confidently this time, but its not his luck anymore, as now he drives onto Nitro-Genes flipper. Richard, alarmed, tries to reverse off the wedge, but too late: Nitro-Gene carries it to the wall, and disposes of it the same way as its brother. It gets quite a bit of height before hitting the outer wall, and falling back down onto the camera tracks. Paul dances around in the control booth in sheer joy, while Richard looks a little disappointed.

Biohazard VS METAL SONIC SPIN DASH VS Ringwraith
Go after Ringwraith from the get-go. Push it, ram it, shove it, slam it; whatever to keep that drum static. Use my superior traction to smash it into the walls and, hopefully, the pit.
For Biohazard, aim for the corners of the skirts, where it should be a bit easier for my spatula to slide under. Once under, push it around so I can hook onto it with my barbs and send it tumbling down the pit as well.
Yeah, Im gonna die. :lame:

Representing Steven McGregor and Team Braveheart: Metal Sonic Spin Dash! A low profile vapourbot with a Pussycat-style sawblade mounted in front, and a spatula, plus some barbed hooks to hook onto you and drag you where it wants, MSSD can pass you by before you even blink!
Representing Richard Southworth and Team Velociraptor: Ringwraith! A full-bodied horizontal spinner, its got a nasty spinning drum that can cut into 5mm titanium, and 15mm Lexiguard armour inside. The exposed wheels are also difficult to attack because of this.
Representing Carlo Bertocchini and Team Biohazard: Biohazard! An even lower profile bot with heavy titanium armour, side and rear skirts, and a cold, dead lifting arm that was helped him win several Battlebots titles.

Two spinners and a lifter are here to duke it out, and already Biohazard has gotten to the sides of MSSD and breached the skirts! FLIP! MSSD is already toppled, but Ringwraith is gladly accepted the distraction, and now advances on Biohazard with the fully spun-up drum! Biohazard lowers the arm and shoves MSSD away towards the arena side wall, only for the srimech to pop up and right MSSD, but right back on top of Biohazard, and MSSD is tilted and slammed against the wall! Ringwraith closes in!
CRASH!!!
Sparkfest! Biohazard is shunted quite a bit, the rear skirt mangled, pieces flown off, but manages to lift up the arm and send MSSD sliding along the wall, and the srimech pops out, but throws MSSD off the wall and onto its back due to the angle! And its not good at all! The open srimech is wedged against the floor, tilting MSSD slightly, and it cant move! Ringwraith has the drum up to speed again, and goes after Biohazard, but Biohazard goes after the pit release button, nailing it dead center! Pit level from main floor to basement. :proud: The Watcher goes over to MSSD and checks things out. Apparently he doesnt like the look of things, and gives MSSD a nudge. Nothing happens...and theres an attack on Biohazards rear again!

Oh dear! The skirt is gone now, not to mention pieces of the chassis that have flown off as well! Biohazard has also been thrown up against the wall, and is stuck...no, the arm pops out...and leaves Biohazard in the same situation as MSSD! MSSD, meanwhile is now being counted out by The Watcher!

OHH!!! MSSD has been smashed by Ringwraith, the side taking the most of it by far, badly dented, not to mention losing the skirt! Unfortunately, it didnt right MSSD, and The Watcher has now lost count and has to start the count out all over again, but Ringwraith is not to keen on letting that happen just yet. The drum spins up, as Biohazard, near the pit, throws the arm up, and RIGHTS HIMSELF! Without the rear skirt to thwart him, the 3-time Battlebots champion is back on his feet and coming after Ringwraith! Ringwraith isnt paying attention, but focuses completely on MSSD and smashes into it again.
CRASH!!!
The dented side is now gashed up, the 3.75mm hardox unable to stand that 2nd hit...but its righted MSSD this time! Biohazard takes the chance and slams into Ringwraith, sticking the arm in. MSSD rejoices in his reinvertibility and helps Biohazard by charging straight at Ringwraiths front. Unfortunately it does them more harm than good as Ringwraith is pushed on top of Biohazard, and drives off easily, immediately getting the drum going again. MSSD moves around Biohazard and, blade spinning wildly, tackles the full-body drummer just as it turns around.
CRASH!!!
Both spinning weapons meet, and the worse one off here is definitely MSSD, as the blade is gone! Oh dear, there it lands, right near one of the arena saw slots. :proud: Anyway Biohazard tackles Ringwraith, and raises the arm but that does nothing, only lifting the drumbot slightly into the air and Ringwraith lands perfectly balanced on its two wheels, and spins the drum up again. MSSD charges again valiantly, but Ringwraith rolls one wheel over the undamaged left side and spins around: hes got an open hit on MSSDs side! Steve tries to move MSSD away, but not in time, Im afraid.
CRASH!!!
Ringwraith catches the edge of MSSD as he backs off, and throws the hedgehogbot onto its back. Biohazard decides to be mean, and starts pushing MSSD towards the pit! Ringwraith chases down Biohazard and puts a small hit on him with the half-spun-up drum, shunting him away from MSSD, whose srimech pops up and rights him. Biohazard turns and rams Ringwraith, only for MSSD to come at the fully exposed rear and push it away towards the floor flipper. Ringwraith spins around and runs over Biohazard with its wheel, and MSSD shoves it all the way across the arena, right into the wall! WHAM! Biohazards snout is imprinted into the wall. MSSD turns to find a fully spun up drum in his face. Uh oh.
CRASH!!!
Once again, MSSD is tossed, and lands heavily onto his back, but manages to self-right. That front is looking pretty beat up though...Biohazard wheels away from the wall, moving a bit slower than usual, and goes to ram Ringwraith, but Ringwraith knows how to dodge Biohazard by now, and simply runs over the skirted bot with one of his wheels, and spins around to face the side with the spinning drum...Biohazard is able to turn in time to also find the drum in his face.
CRASH!!!
Biohazard is flung onto its back, the snout on the arm shocked, and...apparently, unable to move at all! MSSD is again tackling the Ringwraith, and succeeds, pushing it all the way across the arena, and WHAM! into the wall! Ringwraiths wheels are jolted off the floor...and The Watcher is counting Biohazard out for good!

Biohazard is out, and Carlo turns away from the arena and commiserates with his team members, as Taki-san leaves her CPZ and immediately rams the inverted box down the pit. BOOM! One down. And...there is no movement from either of the other two robots as well. The Watcher moves over and shunts MSSD again, pushing it off the wall and tilting Ringwraith off the wedge. Aha! Ringwraith moves away and spins up the drum. MSSD, however, is the broken one here, and Ringwraith abandoning all pretence lays the hurt on him with the drum, this time in the rear.
CRASH!!!
MSSD is knocked skyward once more, the backside totaled, and lands heavily onto its back. This time, its srimech does not come to its rescue as it is incapacitated as well. The Watcher is convinced now that MSSD is a dead duck, er, hedgehog :proud: and the timer comes on again!

Out goes MSSD, and Obelix tackles him towards the pit as well, and misses. :proud: Ringwraith spins down the drum, his job done, as Obelix gets his bearings back, and hammers MSSD once just for good measure, before dumping it down the hole.

You all know who Asterix Heroicus is, if youve been in any Crash and Burn Tournament, so I wont go into detail about the house robot.
The challenger...is ForcePower 5.0! This vapourbot is represented by Andrew Jackson and Team ???. Mr. Tornado-on-acid himself :proud:, its powered by two LEM200s and has a hinged wedge in front to get under and ram to death. It only goes at 15mph, though, but it has enormous control and manoeuvrability because of that. 6mm hardox monocoque and invertibility tell the rest of the tale.

ForcePower flies out Asterix, who comes to meet him...and neither can get under each other! The wheels grind...and Asterix is slowly being pushed backwards! Asterix tries to turn away, but its vain, and as they reach the edge Asterix topples onto the tires, off the tires, and onto his back, out of the ring. He spins around in anger.

Representing Alex Holt and Team DoomForAll: Tengu VII! A ferocious full-body spinner with two 7.5kg blades on the spinner and an-anti spinner ring to deal with other spinners. It has good armour, and can even right itself, but its quite tricky to control.
Representing Aaron Knight and Team Disctructive Technologies: Mass Disctruction Revolution! Its also a full-body spinner, but with 9 hardox teeth on its 25.69kg titanium spinning shell. Its invertible as well, but its top armour is 5mm aluminium which could be damaged...hopefully not here though.
Tengu had lost to a Mass Disctruction vapourbot before, and wants to tear out MDRs guts! But whose will be spilled? Lets find out!

Its MDR that gets up to speed first, and heads in Tengus direction, who has now also achieved its full potential and comes out to greet MDR. Two deadly full body spinners, fully sped, coming right right at each other...oh, shenanigans cant be too far away...
CRASH!!!
WHOA!!! What a HUGE hit!!! Both bots go flying backwards straight into the walls opposite! A load of sparks has been created, and as fast as it appeared, it vanishes. What a hit. Ouch. Tengu is still mobile, and actually seems to be okay! The blades are spinning right back up and are pretty much at full speed now! MDR...looks about the same, none of the teeth gone, the rim still shiny and intact...and here they come flying at each other again! I call mayhem!

ANOTHER HUGE HIT!!! Both bots are sent flying astray again! Only this time, there is definitely some damage! MDRs titanium rim is dented to the EXTREME, caving into the FBSs chassis! Tengu, it seems has gotten one of its blades bent right backwards, but is spinning up all the same. Aaron is very concerned at this point, trying to spin up the shell but cannot do so at all! Tengu is spinning faster and faster, and wobbling! Its clear that Tengu is out of control and flailing around, pulling a Mauler and flying across the arena, to land onto its back near the floor flipper. Up pops the arm and Tengu is righted, but MDR tackles suddenly and pushes it, sliding off quickly. Tengu begins to spin up again, but Alex strikes early to avoid Tengu going haywire again, and puts a hit on MDR with the blades half-spun-up.
CRASH!
MDR is smashed away, no damage being done that time, and Tengu goes after him, and spins up a little. MDR spins on the spot rapidly to act like hes supposed to be, an FBS, and Tengu collides with him, blades actually 3/4ths up to speed.
CRASH!!!
Its a powerful hit nonetheless, as MDR is blown backwards, Tengus longer teeth gaining the blow as another dent appears in the shell of MDR! And...oh dear, it looks like that blow was to the death, as MDR appears incapacitated, and theres quite a bit of smoke coming out. The Watcher comes in count out Aarons FBS, as Aaron himself pounds against the railing of his control booth in anger.

Alex is satisfied as he sees the big 10 appear, and having acquired his revenge spins down Tengus blades and waits for the call. Taki-san takes the MDR corpse to the wall and lifts it up against the wall. Another lift...and there we go, over the fence. Unusual though, as house robots should dump their victims in the pit.

Your stats were cluttered all over the forum, and I had to find them all and post them, so please, in the (near) future, post all your stats (old and current) in one thread so I dont have to go looking for them.
I was also nice enough to retype them for you without Caps Lock hurting peoples eyes, so please dont go crazy with the Caps Lock anymore in your stats, its really annoying. Just some advice Paul. :)

No real tactics for Starstorm, just go after whoevers nearest. If I find myself under attack, Ill put the relevent skirt flat to the ground. Being grounded is better than being shoved around. My shape and armour should protect from Ax-o-lotls axe.

Mayhem: Axe-O-Lotl vs. Starstorm 2 vs. Sauron: This seems to be quite one-sided. Due to shape and armour, as well as weaponry, Ill go for Frank and Starstorm 2.
Pinball: Dantomkia: I dont think Dantomkia will do quite well here.
Challenge Belt: Y4 vs. Liar: Im coming after these two, and I believe Ill be fighting Y4, as hell win over Liar via OOTA.
All-Stars: Firestorm V vs. Nightmare: Because of FireStorms speed and shape, I think hell bring down Nightmare quite quickly.
All-Stars: Wedge Devolution vs. Son of Ripper 5.5: This is deffinate All-Stars! Tough battle, but Ill go for the faster, lower, more powerful Wedge to score an OOTA!

Axe-O-Lotl vs. Starstorm 2 vs. Sauron
Representing Christopher Mason and Team Dinowarrior: Axe-O-Lotl! Recent heat finalist of C&B2 makes it way into our second mayhem. Powerful axe, powerful drive, and a Comengetorix-style shape give it a good stance, but it has very questionable armour.
Representing Frank Goacher and Team Bored: Starstorm 2 Our first full-body flipper run on 500psi and can launch robots off its 4mm hardox dome shape, complete with holes to reduce weight. Its linear actuated skirts are tough too, but it can be outpushed.
Representing Aaron Knight and Team Disctructive Technologies: Sauron! It€™s a 2WD translational spinner with 4 hardox teeth on the edges of the spinner (see render). It€™s not quite fast to drive, but its tip speed is 80mph. Add 5mm hardox armour to that and you€™ve got a pretty mean spinner. :proud:

Axe-O-Lotl screams out of his spot and collides with Sauron immediately, stopping the spinner, and then bringing the axe down...on nothing! Miss! Starstorm joins in and attacks the rear of Axe-O-Lotl, and FLIP! Over goes the dinobot on top of Sauron. Starstorm however doesn€™t stop there: it plows into Sauron as well, lowering the skirts just in time to slide underneath Sauron€™s 10mm clearance, as Axe-O-Lotl rights itself off the back of Aaron€™s spinner. FLIP! Over goes Sauron as well, but Starstorm has left him alone, and has headed for Axe-O-Lotl, immediately attacking the rear and sliding underneath! FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl soars, achieving more air than before, and is upended once more! Sauron begins to spin up again, this time unhindered, and soon reaches maximum velocity! :proud: Starstorm sees its chance, and as Axe-O-Lotl rights itself again, Starstorm flies directly underneath and pops Axe-O-Lotl€™s underbelly with the dome, sending it flying over onto its back once more, and right in the direction of Sauron! The spinner wastes no time and tears a path of desdtruction towards its target. Axe-O-Lotl waits...and waits...and Starstorm starts shoving it directly at Sauron! :proud: Axe-O-Lotl fires the axe and rights itself directly on top of Sauron, stopping its spinning speed, but the edges inside the translational cylinder (wait, not cylinder, er...torus? :proud:) catch the wheels and bank Axe-O-Lotl off of Sauron and away. Starstorm tackles Sauron again and slides underneath with the lnear skirts. FLIP! Sauron goes over again, righted, but Starstorm has already turned back towards Axe-O-Lotl, who€™s coming right after him! He stops just short of the dome and gives it a good WHACK with the axe, however it catches one of the holes and so no damage is really done to the armour of Starstorm, but Axe-O-Lotl backs off before Starstorm can retaliate. Sauron heads over towards one of the CPZ to try and cut Axe-O-Lotl off but Chris, seeing this, reverses, just away from an incoming Starstorm and gives Frank€™s bot another good WHACK with the axe, this time directly hitting the top and giving it a miniscule dent. Starstorm flies underneath Axe-O-Lotl before the latter can get out of danger and FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl flies up, and the rear of the underside bangs into Starstorm€™s uplifted dome, thus falling onto its rear end, but a little push from Starstorm sends it over. Axe-O-Lotl tries to right itself without further interference but Starstorm is persistant and pushes it into an empty CPZ. Ooh, Exa-Gore-Ic flies out of his CPZ but is blocked by Sauron! And there€™s our €˜newcomer€™ house robot, Ivy-X, with those lovely spinning chains. :proud: Axe-O-Lotl fires the axe but Starstorm is at him immediately. FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl is pushed up against the arena wall, but falls back down onto Starstorm€™s lid. Sauron decides to get out of the way, and does so as Exa-Gore-Ic trundles past. FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl is popped up again, and the top is pushed up against an angle grinder, but leaning against it throws the axe out, balancing itself off the wall and back onto its wheels, but unfortunately Ivy is right there with the chains!
CRASH!
Not necessarily a huge hit, but it does send Axe-O-Lotl back towards Starstorm, who again slides €˜neath the front and FLIP! Again we have an inverted Axe-O-Lotl. Sauron heads across the pit and right for Starstorm, but Starstorm really seems to be ignoring him for now and is concentrating its attack completely on poor Axe-O-Lotl. WHOA! Axe-O-Lotl has buried its wedge into Ivy and is slamming her into the wall! WHACK! Whoa, what got into him?! No damage from the axe, though, but Axe-O-Lotl has got the house bot now and heads straight for Sauron. Aaron continues to chase down Starstorm but Starstorm loses the 8mph bot quite easily, allowing Axe-O-Lotl to shove Ivy into Sauron€™s face!
CRASH!!!
WHOA! Ivy€™s just been sent flying by that huge blow, right off the wedge, no damage though, but Sauron is still spinning! Axe-O-Lotl charges quickly, noticing that Sauron is not quite rotating as well as before.
CRASH!
Axe-O-Lotl takes the hit and is spun around, the wedge now horribly torn, allowing Starstorm to charge in and dump Axe-O-Lotl into Sauron. Sauron stops spinning immediately and is pushed back into the CPZ. Exa-Gore-Ic receives the translational spinner gratefully and squeezes in, the massive jaws closing around Sauron ominously! FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl is sent almost terminally skyward, but falls down to earth onto his back. Ivy is quite peeved and blasts in again with the flails, striking Starstorm.
CRASH!
Ineffective blow against that dome, and Starstorm€™s attention is received, but Ivy slams into him harshly. FLIP! Ivy...is also sent over, but fully invertible anyway. Starstorm turns backs to the CPZ.

Time almost over already? Wow. Exa-Gore-Ic drags Sauron over to the flame pit and leaves him to broil.

FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl is righted but Starstorm keeps at it. Axe-O-Lotl gives him another WHACK with the axe, giving the dome another small dent.

Ivy smacks Starstorm again with the flails and butts in, as Axe-O-Lotl buries the wedge in as well. Sauron meanwhile burns on the flames...

Dantomkia speeds away, right after the barrels, toppling many down at once...and one rolls straight into the pit. :proud: Dantomkia spins around, knocking some barrels away (and another down the pit :proud:) and heads for the ramp! Oh, hes over it, well done, another 20 points added, and AHH! Hes flipped Obelix Bulguous and toppled him away! Hits the 75 point button, he does! Very good run so far, but now Asterix is after him, hell have to be careful here, and he backs...all the way into the multiball release, good, another 10 points for that. Oh! Now hes taking on Taki-san and a 50 point marker! Nope, drives straight onto the wedge aaaaaand...flipped over. :proud: Asterix shoves him into the wall, and pins him there to stop him self-righting, whilst Taki inserts the cutting blade in.

The rear end of Dantomkia does not take well to that blow, a nice gash cut right through, and Asterix releases Dantomkia. Dantomkia...ah, there we go, righted. Taki shoves him away, but Dantomkia is quite determined to get at that 50 point button and tries to get at the side. Its denied, as Asterix again shoves him away, and right back into a few more barrels, ah, thats all the barrels on that side gone then. :proud: But unfortunately for Dantomkia time is up.

Representing Christopher Mason and Team Dinowarrior: Y4! A wilder version of T-Minus, it€™s got 5mm titanium armour, which isn€™t too bad, and is invertible, though with slightly exposed wheels. Its main feature is the flipping arm which can send 300kg bots onto their backs no problem, and can right Y4 in a stylish way. However, with its batteries and motors set at 12v, it€™s not going to be very pushy.
Representing Martijn Benschop and Team Varying Every Day: Liar! No, not the new one. :proud: 8mm titanium armour give it more protection than its opponent, and like its opponent it has a hugely powerful flipper (1000psi) capable of tossing robots its size many meters in the air! It may not have much pushing power but at 24v, its S28s will be pushy enough. The side wedges on the flipper help to aid in getting under opponents when spinning around, but they won€™t damage the opponent.

The Challenge Belt kick-off is underway! Liar approaches first and speeds into Y4, who greets him with the flipper blade. WHAM! Both cancel out, and it looks like Liar is the slightly more powerful here, as he€™s currently pushing Y4 away towards the arena wall! Y4 backs off, but Liar persists, and both clearance confront each other again...and it€™s Y4 winning the duel! FLIP! Liar is flicked, and tipped over. FLIP! Liar rights himself, but right back onto Y4€™s arm! Y4 heads to the arena wall! FLIP! It€™s Liar who activates his flipper first, and throws himself backwards, but that only sends him directly onto the flipper blade of Y4 and...NO! Y4 tosses him along the wall! Martijn breathes a deep sigh of relief and directs Liar back over to Y4 and they meet again! Liar prevails! FLIP! Y4 is tossed over. This only means he can€™t use the flipper, and Y4 gets away before Liar can catch him...not long, however, before Liar is able to catch him! Liar smacks him with the wedge, but Y4 is away again before Liar can flip...can Liar use the flipper? Y4 activates the flipper and a beautiful 540 is performed, just as Liar gets to his spot - FLIP! Oh! So he can use the flipper, he was just waiting for his moment! Martijn grins as Y4 goes soaring into the arena wall, back onto his back. Y4 rights himself in the blink of an eye however, popping straight back over this time, and is able to get away before Liar can get in for another devastating toss. Chris is quite determined, showing in his face as he works the controlls for Y4, who charges into Liar once more! Liar veers of course slightly and goes for a wedge thwack to Y4. Bad idea! Y4 slides under the front of the right side wedge and FLIP! Liar is over again...FLIP! And righted again! Y4 is right there however, and before Liar can recover, he€™s over again! (FLIP!) Y4 charges into Liar again and carries him to the arena wall, but Liar pops up again (FLIP!) righting himself and Y4 nearly smacks his snout into the arena wall! Liar turns and flicks into Y4€™s side! FLIP! Y4 now has his turn of being inverted! Liar charges in and gets another flip in, tossing Y4 in a perfect 360! Y4 blows this scene and runs away, activating the flipper as he does so, thus righting himself, but Liar crashes into him and FLIP! WHOA! Y4 goes sailing...OVER THE WALL!!!

Firestorm V vs. Nightmare
Representing Graham Bone and Team Firestorm: Firestorm V! Hes scorched opponents with that awesome front-hinged flipper and appeared in the Grand Final three times. Very low to the ground, and very capable of sliding underneath opposing skirts with that wedge blade. He also has pretty decent armour, but with only 2WD he wont be much of a shover. :proud:
Representing Jim Smentowski and Team Nightmare: Nightmare! Thats his name, and knocking the hell out of other robots is his game! :proud: The disc travels at 1600rpm and is SERIOUSLY powerful. In reality, though, hes got NO armour, only a (very sturdy) chassis, and he doesnt look that balanced despite being flipped only once.
Very experienced, these two, excellent drivers, but who will get their stuffing beaten in this War of Independence?

Lets go! Firestorm is off the mark and crashing into Nightmare, who turns to give Firestorm a taste of his wheel. Firestorm crashes into the wheel and is struggling to get under the side of it. This gives Nightmare plenty of time to get that lovely disc going, but Firestorm turns and has a go at Nightmares rear. Nightmare tries to spin around but his tail wedge is pushed around by Firestorm and he cant seem to get around and attack. Likewise, Firestorm is unable to slide under that rear wedge, even from the side of it...oh, no wait, hes under it, but not all the way, only the wedge blade, and NOT the wedge itself, is under it. Nightmares tail suddenly scrapes the arena wall as it passes, and Firestorm is jolted into the tail, and completely under it! Nightmare drives off, however, before he goes off-balance, and spins around to face Firestorm. Firestorm is already driving at it, right at one of the wheels, but Jim backs his robot off, and Nightmare keeps facing Firestorm with the disc. The pressure is on, and Firestorm doesnt want to put itself at a disadvantage, so he twists here and there, trying to position himself, when Nightmare jumps the gun and comes right at him! As he nears, Firestorm pulls a U-turn, backs past Nightmare, and goes for the wheels again, from the rear. Nightmare is pushed up onto the wedge by his left wheel! Firestorm doesnt want to go too far, however, knowing that the disc is still spinning and very dangerous, and slowly pushes Nightmare, but he can only spin Nightmare clockwise. Nightmare tries to turn around...AND DOES!
CRASH!!!
The disc slams into Firestorms flipper and gashes it severely, also knocking Nightmare back quite a bit! Firestorm...is okay, and still coming straight for Nightmare, and slides right under the dormant disc, and up comes the flipper! Damaged as it is, it still works, and its got Nightmare, and Firestorm is pushing him towards the wall! NO! No flip! Nightmare manages to keep balance! Firestorm still has him, though, and decides to give him to Double Big Mac, who is nearby. This cant end well...
CRASH!!!
Nightmare is spun right around, the tail getting smashed across the side, with Firestorm still neath the disc! Asterix flies out and hammers the side of Firestorm, tilting both bots...AND NIGHTMARE IS OUT OF THE ARENA!!! What a tactic! What a hoist! Firestorm has just flipped Nightmare over the fence! A SUPERB flip, right into the middle of the tilted Nightmare, and sent it disc-first, right over the edge, and out! Asterix backs away, which is a bad idea because now its Firestorms turn to attack the house robots, as DBM is gotten under and flipped immediately! Asterix barges in, only to find itself on Firestorms flipper and brought to the wall opposite, slammed against it with the flipper and stacked. How very pathetic.

Wedge Devolution vs. Son of Ripper 5.5
Representing Steven McGregor and Team Braveheart: Wedge Devolution! A true golden-oldie, and still kicking bot. :proud: Basically a low wedge with 4mm hardox armour and Biohazard-style titanium skirts at the sides and back. LEM130s and 4WD proper the dead-on 100kg bot to 16mph. Apart from the glorious power, what makes this bot so damn successful is that lovely Chaos 2-style flipper, able to flip 1000kg easily. The bottom of the blade is bent, just like Bigger Brother€™s plate, and thus should be to get under robots much easier. It€™s also got awesome manoeuvrability. The only thing wrong with it...limited CO2 capacity, as with all other CO2 flippers. Wedge Devolution has won VFT6 and come fourth in Mechanical Noise - Series 1, plus achieving high ranking seedings in countless other tournaments.
Representing Andrew Jackson and Team ???: Son of Ripper 5.5! All-rounder is the theme here. :proud: Tall box shape, front wedge, sloped and skirted sides. That wedge also has a nice wedge extender like Firestorm. Also LEM130 powered, and 2WD makes its top speed 12mph. 4mm hardox is the monocoque on SoR, quite tough indeed. Like Wedge Devo it has a front flipper but it €œgoes across the top and then down the front wedge and finally forming a horizontal Bigger Brother like flipping platform€Â, according to its builder, and is less powerful but more conservative. Also, at the rear is a horizontal hardox spinning bar, powered by an S28-400 Mag. No RPM or kJ factor given, but it should be quite tough. Son of Ripper won the first VFT tournament, and like Wedge Devolution has pulled through countless tournaments with good rankings.

It has begun! And both bots are right after each other, desperate to get at each other€™s sides for an advantage! Wedge Devo takes an aggressive stance and goes right for SoR, who turns and makes a diagonal path towards Wedge Devo€™s sides. This slightly exposes his own sides and Wedge Devo pours on the power, but just a little too late, as SoR himself turns, and both catch the edge of each other€™s front wedges, forcing them to face each other. AJ and Steve smirk at each other from their respective control booths. SoR reverses away from his rival, but Wedge Devo moves in at an angle. Again we are treated to a display of excellent manoeuvrability as SoR juts in for Wedge Devo€™s side, and Wedge Devo turns now, but SoR halts, turns the other way, and tries to get going at the other side skirt. Wedge Devo is right there to block him, and again they are stuck facing each other€™s wedge.
Therefore Steve decides to sod his tactics for a second and take a risk: Wedge Devo dives headlong into SoR€™s wedge, and with a slight BANG they are nose to nose, grinding their motors to try and push the other away. However it€™s Steve€™s 4WD that prevails here over AJ€™s 2WD, and SoR feels itself being forced back towards the wall. Wedge Devo continues to push, but SoR suddenly pulls out of the push and spins around...to find Wedge Devo still coming at him at the front! Steve smiles, as AJ€™s face shows slight signs of shock after seeing this beautiful strategy of Steve€™s. SoR continues to spin around, but Wedge Devo continues to be in his face. AJ gets an idea, and spins the other way. It works, and Wedge Devo continues the previous circular motion, and his rear end is now completely exposed! SoR turns and backs into him with the spinning bar, but it€™s too late to take advantage as Wedge Devo turns the wedge back towards SoR.
CRASH!
The spinning hardox bar greets Wedge Devo€™s flipper and spins SoR away from his opponent, though hardly even causing a dent in Steve€™s bot€™s weapon. Wedge Devo flies in again to take advantage of a stalled SoR but he€™s back in, now coming in the spinning bar instead of the flipper. Wedge Devo races right in, hoping to get under that bar and toss his opponent over, but SoR turns clockwise, much like he would if he had a 1m turning circle, and finds himself at Wedge Devo€™s side again! And this time, Wedge Devo is too late to avoid it!
CRASH!!!
Steve feels slight relief, as the skirt suffers a hit but manages to stay on for the time being, however, it€™s sent Wedge Devo flying quite a bit. SoR zooms in with the flipper, and rams Wedge Devo€™s side before the latter can recover from the hit, but no luck. Wedge Devo turns clockwise, just like SoR did, and finds himself at SoR€™s side! The story is the same as SoR€™s, sadly, as again skirts prevail. SoR backs off and Wedge Devo goes flying in front of him, exposing the side but not for long, turning quickly before SoR can even attempt a movement. We€™re back at the beginning of the fight again, as both competitors are facing each other and neither have accumulated, really, any damage. Both roboteers, however, are determined to triumph over the other, and will go by any means to do so. Wedge Devo and SoR charge at each other!
And the favour is in Steve€™s, as Wedge Devo€™s plate successfully manages to slide under SoR€™s flipper AND wedge extender and leaves it hanging there! Wedge Devo wastes no time, carrying SoR - BZZT! OH NO! The arena saws have interfered with Steve€™s attempt for an OOTA! FLIP! Good thinking. Lots of sparks, but that didn€™t distract Steve enough to hit the flipper button just in time, resulting in SoR getting his world turned on its head. SoR, though invertible, really wishes to be right€â€side-up and POP! Over he goes as Wedge Devo recovers from the saw hit and charges towards SoR once more! AJ is unwilling for a repeat episode of that scary moment and resumes his main tactics; getting the spinning bar ready, he pulls off another spin, but Steve watches SoR€™s movements and Wedge Devo continues to point the wedge at his opponent, not wanting to risk exposing the skirts again.
SoR suddenly places himself right in front of Wedge Devo. Steve hesitates, and then like lightning moves in! AJ grins as SoR then drives in a clockwise arc again, getting the flipper into the side of the mobile Wedge Devo, and it€™s a good€™un! The flipper slides under Wedge Devo€™s skirts! FLIP! Wedge Devo is inverted! SoR hurries to his preferred spot at the rear of Steve€™s bot, who FLIP! rights itself...right onto SoR€™s wedge! FLIP! Wedge Devo goes over again! SoR charges in, getting under the rear of Wedge Devo and pushes it to the wall. Steve waits, not wanting to waste CO2 yet, waiting for the right moment. AJ however is fully aware of what€™s going on and only slightly gets under Wedge Devo€™s rear. FLIP! Wedge Devo is tossed, and the underbelly hits the wall, but doesn€™t stay there for long, as the VFT6 champ tilts back towards SoR and FLIP! NOW Wedge Devo activates the flipper and WOAH! What a fantastic acrobatic display! It€™s definitely a 540, but SoR spins around and...is foiled by Wedge Devo€™s rear skirt. :proud:
SoR pushes, hard, but Wedge Devo does an arc himself, and finds himself at SoR€™s side again...and again no luck, the skirts hold up, or should I say hold down. :proud: SoR backs off, and both seem able to take whatever the other can dish out here. Wedge Devo goes for another dip at the side skirts or SoR. AJ turns around and exposes the rear hardox bar and drives off, with Wedge Devo on his tail. He drives in a clockwise arc again, maybe to try to trick Steve again, but suddenly goes right past Wedge Devo, as Steve turns his bot slightly, and the result is definitely in AJ€™s favour. SoR swiftly smashes the bar into Wedge Devo€™s rear skirt!
CRASH!!!
Oh that HAD to hurt! Steve cringes as the rear skirt goes flying off and lands several meters away from where he wants it to be, but this has indeed turned Wedge Devo right around and facing SoR€™s rear! Not a good plan. SoR tries to get away but too late - FLIP! SoR goes flying into the arena wall and lands inverted! The now upside-down Son of Ripper turns and jets away just as Wedge Devo comes in for the OOTA, resulting in Wedge Devo eating arena wall. Cue the self-right - FLIP! SoR is back on his proper side, and ready for action! Wedge Devo turns to face SoR, and it€™s a stand-off again...Wedge Devo moves in, and SoR retreats...to have a go at Wedge Devo€™s side! Wedge Devo turns, but SoR has gone all the way around to get at the rear, but only ends up getting the side, which ain€™t too bad considering he€™s gotten under the side skirt! FLIP! Wedge Devo goes over, and Steve mashes the flipper control. FLIP! Wedge Devo goes back over...into the path of SoR€™s spinning bar!

Removed from two of your skirts is not such a good thing, and the previously hit side skirt from before now joins the rear skirt in freedom, and the devastating hit sends Wedge Devo into a pirouette again! SoR moves in again with the flipping arm, but Steve turns his ever-so-slightly wounded wedgebot to face him again. SoR veers off-course at another attempt to get at those delicious sides, but Wedge Devo turns with him, and attacks SoR€™s own sides! Finally! Wedge Devo gets under SoR€™s skirts this time! FLIP! SoR is launched by the high pressure flipper; it€™s a 360, but Wedge Devo comes in again and slides under! FLIP! SoR goes over onto his back this time. This isn€™t working out exactly like AJ planned, and he carefully moves SoR away from Wedge Devo, with the latter in hot pursuit. With the inverted wedge pointing at Wedge Devo...FLIP! SoR pops himself into the air, and keeps the bar spinning. Wedge Devo flies in regardless, and the bar has little to no effect on the wedge, but it€™s worked in AJ€™s favour nonetheless: it€™s moved SoR away from Wedge Devo!

Finally, the end of the matches approaches. Steve moves in again, not wanting to show signs of fatigue, and the two meet nose-to-nose.

MeCannibal makes its debut in our third Mayhem, angoing with Tempest Evil-er-oution and Baldur Gamma, and then meets the advancing Liar in our next Challenge Belt contest.
And our main event: another Wedge Devolution match, but this time its for Vengeance: hes facing Hypertension Mk 3!
All-Stars: Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus vs. (Matty entry): I dont know about this fight until Matty gives the robot hes planning to enter.
All-Stars: Black and White vs. The Crashing Bore: I predict a win here for Frank and his executing gullotine machine.
Mayhem: MeCannibal vs. Tempest Evil-er-oution vs. Baldur Gamma: I think Ill go for Tempest, and try to make it self-destruct. After that, just attack the edges of Baldur.
Challenge Belt: Liar vs. MeCannibal: Go for the rear where all the internal workings are stored. Ill rip through the bodywork like paper or just shock-kill it.
Vengeance: Hypertension Mk.3 vs. Wedge Devolution: Ill go for Hypertension Mk.3, as it can flip Wedge OOTA much more easily.

Just ram into things and push them around, into each other walls hazards and whatever. I really am not particularly nervous about either damaging me particularly in any meaningful way.
TACTICS
Sit there, twiddling my thumbs and wait for the 5 minutes to exhaust. Until I know otherwise, I dont have an oppodent, so why do anything? Except attack a House Robot.
Paul, Tempest doesnt have anywhere near Meccanibals KJ count for a very good reason. I designed it for durability and reliability. Plus, might I remind you that this is the original Meccanibal which according to my calculations gives out nearly 500 KJs per hit. One robot is going to self destruct when we collide, and I promise you it wont be Tempest.
So, yeah. Hit Meccanibal when its fully spun up. After that one hit KO Ill turn my attentions to Baldur. Im not going to do much damage to the armour, but I should be able to rip off a plate here and there.
Crashing Bore will go for Black and push it into White to stall the spinner, then clamp White, damage the shell some so it cant spin up well and then pit it.
3 things to point out to Frank - it ISNT the original MeCannibal, as its the one with 205kj (it wasnt possible for one to have 500kj of energy). And how can you garantee that Tempest wont self-destruct, as Im the one who notes more shock-proofing? And how can you believe youll rip a plate off the near impervious Baldur?

Regarding Meccanimbals power, you claimed 205 KJ. Research and a kinetic energy calculator gave me a figure closer to 500 KJs.
Regarding tempest:
1) Tempest might not have five inches of foam, but it is fully shock proofed. The stats state rubber placed between just about every surface possible, as well as all the componants being rubber mounted. Not just by sticking 5 inches of foam around the outer componants and expecting that to prevent movement in the centre. But all this isnt to protect against hits, this is to protect Tempest from its other feature.
2) Working on the fact that spinners absorb some of their own kinetic energy, Tempest is designed to bounce off of opponants after striking. The theory is that instead of shaking up Tempests insides, the kinetic backlash is bled away by moving tempest away from the scene as much as possible, a transfer of energy so to speak. This isnt just to make Tempest hell to catch for flippers and rammers although it does serve that double purpose quite nicely.

Mekkaniac, the robot being ripped a new one by Supernova in this fight is made entirely of Hardox. Armour is only as strong as what keeps it in place. Alex states the following for armour:
5mm Titanium Kevlar composite over a thick hardox chassis, the chassis is broken up into triangles for more strength. Behind the front scoop-weapon of the robot there is an 4cm titanium foam to make it even tougher but lightweight due to the fact that it absorbs the hit as its foam. Over the front there is a 5mm hardox plate. All in all that means the front has 51mm of armour. This means that its essentially invulnerable to damage from the front. Everything inside is heavily shcokproofed to counter any kind of blow.
First up, Kevlar is very strong against all types of attack, except for cutting attacks. So in reality, if youre going to take a whack at it with a huge spinner, that main armour isnt going to hold up.
Secondly, the hardox plate on the front on top of this 5 mm Ti/Kevlar gives a big clue to Baldurs Achilles heel. Pun very much intended. Unless hes somehow welded Hardox to Titanium, that thing is bolted in place. Bolts can be broken, that front plate can be torn off without even damaging it. Just like Supernova did to Meccaniac.
Thirdly, by hitting the sides a couple of times I should be able to dig into them and break the bolts there too. The foam can be ripped out in one long strip, which wont hinder Tempest at all as the teeth dont go near the internals.
All in all, Baldur is nowhere near as impervious as Alex might like us to think. Sorry Alex:proud:

I stated about two Wednesdays ago that Matty Fowler had two weeks to get his entries in. If he does not get his entries in by this Wednesday, then someone will take his place.
If you do have to find someone else, just let me (and obviously everyone else) know before doing the fight, otherwise Ill be stuck without specific tactics (although the main one is the Fully Obvious One To Achieve. Think about it).
