ed are you actually going to turn up to the uk champs? havent seen you at a roaming robots event for ages. would be good if you did turn up but if you dont i will see you at a robots live event sometime.....probably leicester event next year. then you can beat envy and shut me up. :) oh any chance of the trax pic i bugged you for??????

Even if he doesnt camp, several of us will.
According to the Haven website, they have several campings, but non at the venue itself.
I hope the distance between venue and camp site is acceptable.

Update 29th July 2007.
OK guys, so time has been ticking and were nearly
there€¦ hopefully your making your final modifications
to your robots, or even building new ones like I know
a few are.
There has been a little bit of lapse of information,
due to two reasons, the first working out some issues
with the park regarding the specifics of the event,
and the second being that were away working for Haven
around the Uk at the moment with the robots.
Anyway€¦. Just to bring you up to speed with things€¦..
Show Times.
The show times are back to the original plan, thus
being the 2 x 2 hour shows, rather than the 4 x 1 hour
shows.
The times are€¦.
Show 1 : - 3pm - 5pm
Show 2 : - 7pm - 9pm
This will certainly leave plenty of time to enjoy the
park, and local area away from robots.
Camping.
Again as per my original plan, we will be camping on
site. This has been the major issue with the event,
certainly not wanting to have to camp off site, We
have secured an area in the main touring site, so we
are right next to the showers / toilets.
Merchandise.
As per normal events, teams should contact myself if
they did want to sell their team merchandise, nothing
commercial, it has to be sold through the RR outlet
and is subject to my approval.
Sign Up Deadline.
The sign ups close 1st August , this Wednesday and the
competition draw will be done on Friday 4th August.
Membership Reminder.
As you know the deadline for memberships to secure
your place in the competition was 20th July, and so
anyone who is not a member of Roaming Robots, and the
FRA will not be entered into the draw on Friday unless
you are a fully paid member or have already contacted
me.
Membership FINAL deadline is 12pm Friday 4th August. -
No excuses.
Competition Draw.
The draw will take place this Friday, and will be
witnessed by an FRA official. If anyone wants to join
us to witness it, then they are more than welcome. The
draw results, competition structure and rules will all
then be posted on the forum and RR website on Friday
11th August.

Hornet 2 will not be competing in the featherweight competition as its a vertical spinner however it will be available for a static display.
Can I pay membership for FRA and Roaming robots during the event?
If you are not based in the UK yes
For those in the UK for FRA membership only
If they have never been a member before it is £10 per annum.
For teams that have been a member before 2007 membership year it is £20
it says 10 on the main page, also why is it more for a person what has been a member before??

FRA minutes state that for previous members the membership is £20 after the 31st of March.
This is due to the fact that FRA bills have to be paid before this date.
It is a lot of bother processing memberships in dribs and drabs and needed discouraging.
The FRA does its best to collect memberships early in the calendar year.
There are very few teams that are entered for our major championships that are not members already.

i have got me a caravan so i wont be in a tent....:) it has a full awning and in there will be my bbq. a nice big gas one so i dont see why we cant have a nice bbq and social for at least 1 night. i am stopping for the week from sunday to sunday. i am really looking forward to uk champs cos it will be the first since the tv for me. i suppose doing the event for a week seems a lot better than just going for 1 day and praying you get through the first round. dont know if there will be a tag team match but envy and thor will be a team so if there are any others mabee we all should post our teams and perhaps it will happen. :) what about england versus dutch or something like that. :) :) :)

I am terribly sorry but it is with great regret we are going to have to withdraw Storm from the competition.
Ed is now going to be out of the country with something that cropped up at work this week.
As for me I have just taken up a new role in the last month and whilst I was hoping to be able to get the time off this is now very unlikely due to some high importance short term deliverables :sad:
Therefore, it is the right thing to do to pull out before the draw happens on Friday.
I was very much looking forward to trying to go one better than last year and get some revenge on Turbulence in the process, but that will have to wait for another time.
Hope you all have a great time and the competition is fierce but fair!

Team Kan-opener will not be competing at next years world champs.
I would prefer it if you represented us.
A full power flipper in the States would possibly do extremly well. The more of them that get there the better.
World champs details will not be available for a while.
Team Kan-opener are only concentrating on the UK champs. New modifications are well under way.
If we can not get all the work done we do have a plan B, which has now been fully tested.
Look forward to having the Beast in our pod again.

Dantomkia and Scorpion looking forward to the Champs DTK will be what she willbe, hopefully shell work properly. Scorpion has had the shed fairies working on her although she will not be able to run fully she intends to sport full combat trim as we plan to take her to Belgium in September. Whatever pod were in we intend to have fun even if we have to fight DTK.
Swanny youre right it is for the beer, only one new rule in the pits ...... you may have to go throuugh hammer training:proud:

Itll probably be worse than last year. After drawing Beast, Sewer Snake and Kan-Opener in our 2006 Pod my wife thinks itll probably be T2, Thor and THz this time. Optimistic?
