Mr Stu
Froggy spoke to me about them as he blew some speepdos running them at 24v
If you look at my new heavy weight in my profile I was going to use 4 of em at 24volts. The only real thing that could handle that is 4qd 300amp. When I have some funds I will invest in some 750s and a watty but at the moment all my savings are going into a lathe and mill.
I plan to use a bosch 400 in future in an feather weight axe running at 24v. I wont run it from a speedo off course.
The solenoid valve I posted above is still available . 30 pounds inc p&p or best offer

Know who it is Alan ?
Nope ...not a clue.
Cant be too many hydraulic powered Robots about in Ramsgate.
The robots name is Alligator, and was in series 3.
2 vantecs, might be a good deal just for them!
The team was from series 3, dont know how old that robot is.
Not too convinced about that robot.
It looks like its kept in a shed with one of the vantecs hanging out of it. Also its not cheap compared to other heavys that have been sold.

it fought and beat Corpral Punishment and lost to Mace?? not sure
think its all aluminium dont think its very quick but its sounds a half desent set up, not many robots have 2 vantecs for sale on ebay
It actually lost the Bezerk 2 due to it being fliped over by its rear forklift. The armour is good as it stood up to the house robots quite well. It looks like a good starting point for someone with limited metalwork skills or access. never saw the forklift work which was a shame as it was a good looking robot at the time.
Well Ive seen robots in worse conditions for sale on ebay, and like Tom said for 2 vantecs and the oddesys alone it might be worth it.
Maybe someone will give it good home, and take it on the live circuit again.
40 mins to go.
It wasnt bid upon. Price was a bit too high i guess.
not sure if you use these deans connectors but this is where i get mine from, cheap aswell.

never liked the look of the deans connectors, not sure why. What current can they handle?
ummm 100 amps plus i think, i wouldnt use anything else personally.
Somthing like 70amps or somthing silly, i use them in 360.. they are good, but i wish they had proper insulation like on the powerpoles (wires carnt possibly be shorted), they feel alot stronger when you push them together, and less likely to pop apart unlike a power pole..but id still rather use powerpoles for low ampage use because there so much easyer to assemble. soldering multiple wires onto one dean is abit of a fidly task.
They do make good links though. Handle similar current as the mini andersons, but.. obviously, no were near as big and heavy.
Ive also dealt with the revolution shop, good service.
can you use on as a removeable link out of interest?
Depending on which make you get they vary, but on average around 70-80A continous.
They are by far the best connectors ive ever used. I cant stand powerpoles and tamiya, and andersons are just WAY to big for a feather.
I think the mini andersons take less current anyway? They are also (along with astroflight zero-loss connectors) one of the only connectors that give less resistance than the wire used to join them.
Best connectors ever. I use them all over ploughbot, Never had one come off. I dont think you can say that about powerpoles!
Yes you can, thats what Ive always used. 360 uses one too.
Fair enough. Looks like I may be ordering a few for hornet 2.
Jeez the student loan is going to take a beating this month :)
Ill be honest and say that when I saw Deans connectors on the Robot Marketplace I thought they looked flimsy and crap, and was going to order some powerpoles from Technobots in the next couple of days.
Just as well all the above info got posted tonight - cheers guys!

Many thanx for the heads up on these connectors Adrian. I love deans just as much as grant and will now plaster my robot in them as well lol.
Deans Ultras are really good connectors, but getting your wires attached to them and make them stay on is sometimes a hassle.
As Removable links and so on they work brilliant, you are not likely to have one pop out by accident, you need some force to pull them yourself.
Not so much on ebay but i have 4 packs of those minibots toys , all in there original boxes email me if your interested in buying them.
