23/24th June 2007 FRA FW UK Championships, Space Centre

Finally hit earth with a bump,

I didnt see that many fights as you know i was locked away in my little room with the kids doing the robot building workshops...but from what i did see it looked as though everyone had a great time.

Malika wanted me to say thankyou to you all, the feedback from the space centre was nothing but positive.

Those spinners definately need some practice, although it was funny to see the bars just fall off :)

Well done to the top three... well deserved.... but the robot of the event has to be Prodogy, hows that for a first event.

Nice to see the mouse on form again, well done trevor. :)

forgot to say thanks to jonno for making our first event such a good one, looking forward to attending many more of yours in the future.

Any pictures yet of the event? Sorry I couldnt make it, also a pitty Tim couldnt defend the Tanja Smith memorial competition.

he always said it would either destroy everything or blow up lol, how come the 2 bots were removed from the arena or are they diffrent fights

Dizzys batteries were on fire... either around the arena or inside dizzy... and Scoprion Lems Mosfet controller which controls the Lem was smoking badly which if left alone may have started to short the batteries, which would then have left us with over i think its 80 cells of NiMhs on fire, not good move. So both Scorpion LEm and Dizzy were pulled... i collected about 6 single cells around the arena on fire... i think Jonno took the main pack out side also.. then the other 2 robots continued to fight which sadly left Little Spinner not able to use their Weapon again due to a peace of Ti on their chassis had bent which stopped the blade from spinning, but still pushed Fireant into the pit as you saw.
