Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Now these stats have been done at different times and for different formats, dont like that? Tough :p
Robot Name: Love Bite V 2.0
Length/Width/Height: 120/30/20
Weight: 100KG
Motivation: €œWheels/Legs/Shuffles€™ 4 inner wheels
Speed: 30 MPH
Weapon: €œWeapon type and specs€ Hydraulic pincers at 2000 psi, can damage light-moderate armour. At the front is a Firestorm type flipping arm, CO2 powered, really just a SRIMECH but it will get other bots over, not really meant to be an OOTA flipper seeing as it€™s speed and the pincers do most of the damage.
Drive: €œMotors used and voltage, style of reduction€ Bosch motors at 36 volts, gear reduction
Power: €œBattery type and Voltage & Amps€ 2 x 36 volts at 3 amp NiCD packs
Armour: €œMaterials and thickness, method held on€ 4 mm hardox, welded.
Ground Clearance: 3MM
Turning Circle: 0M
Notes: It is a double wedge with skirts around the two sides. The paint job is black with Love the Bite in red down the skirts. Muchos credit to Aaron for the help.
Accomplishments: Spawn of Love Bite (NSBFL 7 16th seed), the NSBFLX New Blood runner up
Name: Natural Selection
Paint scheme: Green
Wheels: Four, inside
Shape: Boxlike. Scoop on the front, skirts around the sides, the back is rounded to help with self righting.
Dimensions (cm): 80/40/20 (L/W/H)
Weight: 100
Armour: 4mm ti
Weapon: A hydraulic lifting arm with vertical pincers. These are made of titanium and powered by a linear actuator, giving 400 KGs of grip. The arm is 70 CMs long.
Motors: Two Bosch motors.
Batteries: Natural Selection is powered with Hawker Genises batteries, which are placed in the rear to act as a counter-weight
Top speed: 15 mph
Turning circle: Zero
Ground clearance: 7mm
SRIMECH: The arm.
Strengths: Crushing power
Weaknesses: Slow to self right.
Accomplishments: Runner up of Daves four bot tournie.
Name: Going Crunch (Cluster bot)
Weight: 100kg (55 KG spinner 45 KG flipper)
Dimensions (LxWxH):120 x 30 x 12 joined.
Shape: The flipper is triangular and designed not to flip itself ala Gemini. There is also a lump of metal at the back guarding against that as well. The flipping device is at the point of the triangle and there is a slight scoop. The spinner is same shape only the triangle is cut off with the spinner.
Weapons: A flipper that has the ability to toss opponents far rather than high and a spinner that delivers about 20 KJ energy.
Srimech: The flipper is its own srimech and the spinner has a lifting arm type srimech.
Armour: 4mm Titanium
Top Speed: 14 MPH when joined. Flipper 18 MPH separate. Spinner 14 MPH separate
Main Tactics: At first the robots can be joined with a spinner at one end and a flipper at the other. Then they separate and use a pincer type attack.
Colour: Red with black writing.
Strengths: Ability to use a pincer attack.
Weaknesses: The flipper is quite light and can be pushed around from the back. That€™s where the spinner would need to help.
Accomplishments: Seeded 14th in NSBFL 7 Last surviving seed in NSBFL 7, current semi finalist. Runner up (with 360) of NSBFLX tag terror, has always escaped the first battle since being converted from Going Going Crunch
360: Frank, you have the stats somewhere, could you find and post them for me?
Accomplishments: NSBFLX tag terror runner up (with Going Crunch)

Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
so, me and Dave W entering as one team?
fine with me, I already was kinda worried about the amount of bots I needed to come up with :P
(Im kinda inexperienced yknow)
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Steve, can you pick some random bots for the other weights for me, if Son of Wyachi hasnt gone, ill use that for my super heavy, otherwise, i dont have a clue. I can probably use one of the Vampire Twins clusters for one of the weights, 50KG

Dan Says: w00t! :proud:
STEVE SEZ:
Good to see Mr B and Mr W agree with this little idea. :) I appreciate your gesture, Frank, but this way, nobody has to pull out. Plus, it makes the seedings easier for me :proud:
Also, Chris, Son of Whyachi and a Vampire Twin will do just fine for your SHW and MW. Ive also chosen Mammoth and 259 as your FW and LW respectively, if thats OK with you.

Stats needed from...well...most people
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
let me just check, stats owed are:
sith, tiny tengu, king black panther, blizzard?
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Ill get the rest of my stats up ASAP.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Looks like Chris wants me to post 360s stats. I hope these are current. If not, it sucks to be him:)
Name: 3-6-0
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions (LxWxH):120x80x30
Shape: Full body invertable spinner.
Weapons: It IS a weapon all over. 28 KJ power
Armour: 4mm Titanium
Top Speed: 20MPH
Main Tactics: Circle until spinner is going full speed then attack. Careful to avoid hazards though.
Colour: Red with black writing
Strengths: High powered weapon.
Weaknesses: The ping effect and when its upside down the controls change (up becomes down and left becomes right) so that has to be kept track of. Also, being invertable, its wheels are vulnerable to axes.
Dave, CB has a lifter because it evolved a bit during discussions. Neil wanted to make it a grapler-lifter, and I liked the sound of that. The downside was, the drill isnt compatible with that idea.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Right, well, the HWs I wanna Enter are Flipping Hell, Flaming Hell, Hell Machine and All Hell.
As for a SHW, I have a design, but its up to martin, he may have one of his own
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Slight changes to stats:
LW:
Name: Hell Hound
Weight: 25kg
Dimensions (LxWxH): 60x50x30cm
Shape: scooped front, rectangular body, rounded back
Weapons: 2 conjoined Pincer type crushing jaws with a small hydraulic ram powering each, producing a 1 and 1/2 tonne crushing force
Colour: mainly black, but with Rotweiler features all over the body
Speed: 15MPH
Transmission: a pair of Bosch 400€™s on 24v running through a simple 6:1 ratio gearbox
Armour:1mm stainless steel and 1mm Ali/steel alloy (tough enough for LWs)
Srimech: cable pulled legs from out the side (like a dog cocking his leg to do his business), and a cable pulled tail that pops out of the top near the back if it rests on its head
GC: 0 at the scoop, 2mm the rest of the way
Turning circle: 0cm
Strengths: Power of weapon
Weakness: slow self righter (still effective mind)
FW:
Name: Hells Angel
Weight: 12kg
Dimensions: 59 x 45 x 15 cm
Shape: Scoop front, rectangle body, wedged rear end
Weapons: a pegueot radiator fan motor powered axe, drilled for lightness, but with still a heavy axe head, with a wallop power of about 500kg
Transmission: 24v 3Ah Ni-cads power 2 Ali protected Windscreen wiper motors attached directly to the compound rubber wheels, which are studded with screws pointing out (like those on Chaos 2)
Speed: 12 MPH
GC: 2mm all around, 0 at the scoop end
Srimech: The axe, the weight of which pulls it over so it cannot rest on its side. Make SURE you remember that.
Armour: 2.5mm mild steel on the sides, 1.5 mm aluminium checker plate elsewhere
Strengths: The axe
Weakness: the armour may not stand up to strong FW spinners, but should prove good enough
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
well Dave, could you show me the stats of yer SHW then? ^^
either Ill completely hate it and enter one of my own (which is unlikely :P)
or its ok and well go with yours
(cause I dont have a SHW design of my own)
and for the HWs, I wanna enter TAN and Gravity
which leaves me with 2 HWs and 1 lightweight still to come...
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
And here is the last the bots i need to post stats for, Frank, thanks for posting the 360 stats.
Name: Vampire Twin (Cluster 1 (Obviously, i wont be switching them between fights))
Dimensions (mm): 120x60x20
Shape: Box shaped with skirts on each side except the back
Colour: Black with splotches of blood
Ground clearance: 2mm on the three skirted sides, 3.5mm at the back.
Weight: 50 KG
Power: Bosch motor
Top speed: 15mph
Weapons: The bot has two drills powerful enough to pierce all but the toughest armour (stay the hell away from 6mm hardox :p ). The front skirts also flip up (to help with self-righting) so they could be counted as weapons
Armour: 5mm Titanium
Mobility: Four wheels, the wheels are protected by the skirts which are also there to reduce ground clearance. If a skirt was taken off, the ground clearance would go up to 15mm (same as the back)
Turning circle: 5mm
SRIMECH: The skirts flip up to self right the bot.
Strengths: High powered drills. Low ground clearance. Creature of the night (ok so that€™s stupid but I wanted another :p )
Weaknesses: If a skirt got hit the right way, it could jam a wheel. If the skirts are removed, no SRIMECH. Aversion to sunlight (stupid weakness to go with stupid strength :p)
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Now if someone would explain to me what mammoth and 259 do, id be all set :p
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
259 is a very destructive vertical disced robot based on the HW version of the same name.
Mammoth is a shuffling robot with a variety of weaponry, including a lifter and I believe an axe.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
That helps muchly, thanks. Should have remembered 259 lol.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I thought the middleweight version was 2.59?
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Nah. It was 259, I beleive there is a FW or AW version called 2.59. BTW, where did the name 259 come from ?
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I dont think Adam ever said.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
It came from 321, same story as Wowot and Robot I beleive.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I wish hed stop doing that.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Yeah, his nephew (I think :S) when watching the countdown to fights, wouldnt count along 3...2...1 but 2...5...9!.
And really, if he built it Chris, I think he shouldnt name it however he wants. Its actually rather linked, rather than random names of destruction :P
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
No, I mean that I wish hed stop making a mockery of his son (It was his son according to the RWM).
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Less chat, more stats. :proud:
Still need em from Martyn, Matty F, Andy, Aaron, Alex, Scott, Tom, Chris M, Frank (SHW) and Martijn. :)
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Scott??? Stats Needed??? *faints in utter shock* :lame:
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Name;Little Big Bot
Weight;25 kilos
BS;Square Wedge (like Morticon or Alley Cat in RW game)
Speed;20mph
GC;2mm
Armour;6mm polycarbonate
Power;2x 750-watt Bosch electric motors
Wheels;4 inner
Weapons;Double headed axe, like Terrorhurtz, but smaller. The idea is to batter oppodents instead of destroying them.
Srimech;The axe rights the robot.
Inspiration; The name of a Simpsons episode, AND the name of a wildlife documentory about small cats, but NOT after the famous film.
Strengths;Weapon
Weaknessess;Difficult to control
Name;Tom
Weight;50 kilos
BS;Wedge with rounded back
Speed;12mph
GC;7.5mm at sides, but flipper front is 0mm
Armour;3mm titanium
Power;2x wheelchair motors
Wheels;2 inner
Weapons;A flipper, like Chaos 2, able to flip 5 times its own body weight
Srimech; The flipper rights the robot. Whiskers prevent side stranding and the rounded back prevents stranding THAT way.
Inspiration;Part of a clusterbot called Tom and Jerry (you can GUESS the inspiration), but now he is working solo.
Strengths;Flipper
Weaknessess;GC a little high.
If LBB is too heavy, shed 2mm of polycarbonate off.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Ill have the superheavy done this weekend, I just havent had much chnace during the week.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
ok, now thingsll get serious :P
Name - Back to Rock
Weight - 100 Kilogram
Speed - 29 km/h (18mph)
Dimensions - 90x75x30 cm
Ground Clearance - 0 at sides and front, 2 mm at the back
Power - 2x Etek motors, 48 volt, 30 BHp, 4 chunky batteries, geared 2:1

- A pair of side skirts out of 4mm titanium with a 2mm polycarbonate laminate
- A titanium flipping arm, back hinged, powered by a 1,1kg gas bottle at 160 PSI, can easily flip a 100 kg robot 50 cm into the air or self right my robot when needed.
Armour - 7mm Ti/V alloy Box section chassis, 12mm Ti/V alloy for the rest.
Shape - basically a box, with slightly sloped sides with skirts attached to them, and a sloped front to ram and get underneath opponents (to flip, duh).
Strengths - Powerfull armory, high ramming power, hard to get underneath
Weaknesses - No powerfull active weaponery
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
a 2:1 reduction is far too fast. Youd have virtually no control. I know we are on the same team, so Id thought Id better tell you
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Wheel diameter acts as another reduction. RPM doesnt change, but km/h does. One should note though that with 20 cm wheels, his robot would actually be going 56.6 km/h, instead of 29. (Using Eteks at 3000 rpm as a reference, since Im too lazy to look it up to the tens digit).
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Proves my point. 59Km/H is far too fast to keep under control
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Name- Panicking (previously panic 3 GTI 2)
SHAPE- Low invertible box
COLOUR- Yellow except for the lifting forks which are black
WEIGHT- 98kg
DIMENSIONS- 65cm x 60cm x 15cm (Length x Width x Height)
SPEED- 23mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0 mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 mm at front due to forks, 0 mm at sides and rear due to skirts 5 mm with out, the skirts are hinged so flop over when the robot is flipped
ARMOUR- 12mm polycarbonate
MOVEMENT- panic now uses 6 Vulcalon wheels to give extra pushing power
POWER- 2 x LEM130€™s on 36 volts
WEAPONS- on the front the robot has a pair of invertible lifting forks, the forks are like those on panic attack, the forks are powered by 2 linear actuators
STRENGTHS- Low ground clearance, reliable weapon
WEAKNESSES- previously lost to spinners
Record- 17-9

Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I might change the drive system on Son of Wedgie to an inverted double transect axle, if I can be bother to word it right.
In other news, the Aussies Loss to Somerset at cricket. I suggest its the added zider that makes Somerset unbeatable: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/4095124.stmhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/4095124.stm :proud:

King Black Panther is up.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
yeah, everyones right about the reduction, so here is the same robot, but then how it should be ;p
note that Ill enter this INSTEAD of my previous machine (although theyre generally the same, only with a different reduction, AND I also modified the angle with the floor btw)
Name - Back to Rock
Weight - 100 Kilogram
Speed - 29 km/h (18mph)
Dimensions - 90x75x30 cm
Ground Clearance - 0 at sides and front, 2 mm at the back
Power - 2x Etek motors, 48 volt, 30 BHp, 4 chunky batteries
Movement - Four wheels, 20cm diameter
Weaponry
- A wedge at the front, at a 40 degrees angle to the floor
- A pair of side skirts out of 4mm titanium with a 2mm polycarbonate laminate
- A titanium flipping arm, back hinged, powered by a 1,1kg gas bottle at 160 PSI, can easily flip a 100 kg robot 50 cm into the air or self right my robot when needed.
Armour - 7mm Ti/V alloy Box section chassis, 12mm Ti/V alloy for the rest (including the entire top, no invertible rammer this time, as my flipper can act as a srimech, and my wheels will be save from an occasional axe-blow now)
Shape - basically a box, with slightly sloped sides with skirts attached to them, and a sloped front to ram and get underneath opponents (to flip, duh).
Strengths - Powerfull armory, high ramming power, hard to get underneath
Weaknesses - No powerfull active weaponery

I do love the smell of wheel spins in the morning.
400 Amps being drawn to power each motor, I also smell burning wires.
I still say there is no need for 50+ horsepower, because its an arse to put down and whats the point, if you cant get underneath the other robot? A 2 horsepower wedge can outpush an 64 horsepower box if the wedge gets underneath and lifts the wheels off the ground or pushes from the side.
Anyway, please feel free to ingore this old fools comments.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
1) Robots dont do wheel spins, they have grip.
2) The whole point of the power is to get under the other robots.
3) A 2hp wedge can only push a 64hp rammer if it is under with all four wheels off the ground.
4) I shall consider all complaints.
5) If you have left, stop comming back and irritating us.
6) There is no number 6.
7) Goodbye, roll on the next complaint about me.

Ah, the Aussies have returned...
...Is the weather in the Uk too cold for you to play proper cricket and to beat the lowest ranked team in the world, and Somerset :proud:
