Erm...what happens when you press the windows key on your keyboard?
It happens if I go into ANYTHING. The Internet, Notepad Ive both tried, and the same result.
AJ, I tried that, and got absoulutly nothing. No bar, no icons...oh dear, this isnt working.
ok then you dont have the same problem that i had but i surgest to run a virus check
I know this sounds stupid, but have you tried making your screen smaller?
My computer is been delt with. Hopefully, I will be able to write a battle soon.
HOORAY! My computer is working, and my Dad knows what to do if it happens again.
Look out for a battle either tomorrow or this weekend. Probably tomorrow.
TICTACS:
Use the extended plate and flip flip FLIP! Either send it OOTA or use my superior pushing power to Pit it
:proud:400TH POST:proud:
Im getting fed up. The computer is working, but everyone is now bringing back the argument again and dragging me into it.
I will not post anything here until the argument is well and truly gone and you have excepted my 10,000th apology!
Tournament over guys :proud:

Wedge Devolution vs Angel of the Abyss
House Robots;Cholera and Smudge Revamped
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And off they go. Wedge Devolution MUST be the favourite going into this final. But how is it going to stop the spinning body of Angel of the Abyss? Well, he DOES have this wedge extendor on, and he dodges the blade...AND FLIPS! Angel of the Abyss soars over. Can AotA self-right? Yes, he can. But back comes Wedge Devolution, to try and flip again. This may be a worry for Angel of the Abyss, as that flip may have slowed the spinning. Wedge pushes Angel towards Cholera, who is waiting with open claws. This is risky! The claws go STRAIGHT through the armour of Angel of the Abyss. Like I said, Theyll bust anything. Wedge Devolution is hitting the pit release. This is fast work, isnt it? Back comes Angel, with terrible scars, but gets caught not spinning between the wedge and arm of Wedge Devolution. Angel has little pushing power. Wedge pushes...and ANGEL OF THE ABYSS IS IN THE PIT! OH DEAR!
As prediacted, Wedge Devolution is the winner.
See ya soon for another heat.
(AJ, lots of people are enjoying this tourny, dont be rude.)
[I will not post anything here until the argument is well and truly gone and you have excepted my 10,000th apology!]
Im a sucker, eh? Your a LIAR!
Ah, no, that was a threat, not a lie. Theyre slightly different.
*trying to change subject*
I wish Tom Roper was back, sorry Chris, but some of your fights with Tom were funny.
Whats the heat 2 lineup, cos I forgot.
I guess they were. But I agree, I really want the subject changed too, so no more arguments in here, OK, please? Ill try not to anywhere else.
Dave, I beieve one of your robots is in this heat.
Hurricane vs Storm 2 vs Return of Roadblock
Ripper Roo vs Slaying Mantis E vs Crusha
Sumo
CDM vs Jakamoko 2
Matt, want to gang up on Storm 2?
I will try to get head-on with Storm, because my front is styled on Tanto 2, it should get underneath that scoop and selotape wheels vs flail = nice :)
Right, Ill team up with Ripper Roo & well gang up on Slaying Mantis E. Ill have to keep away also from that big crushing arm. Who owns Ripper Roo? Whoever the owner is, would you like to team up with me against Slaying mantis E?
I thought wed decided that already. You grab em, I spin up and hit the back.
OK, Matt. I forgot about that, Ill grab Slaying Mantis while you spin up & hit his rear.
Ok, Ill team up with Dave and when Hurricane has shoved Storm 2 around a bit and hopefully into a wall, ROR will try to flip Storm OOTA.
Funnily enough I spoke to Tom R recently and it looks like he may be coming back some time:proud:
...OK he didnt actually say he was, but he was interested in what was going on.
It was meant to be a secret :lame:
Good news guys. Im already planning the next two battles. I dont know when they will go up, but my exams end this week, so they should be up by then.
My exams are OVER! HOORAY! And you know what that means? Thats right! MORE DINOWARRIOR DESTRUCTION!
Today, we have 3 more brave/foolish robots hoping to become the ULTIMATE champion. Who will win, I ask myself?
Only one way to find out!
BATTLE 1
The first robot to enter the ring in this fight is CRUSHA, a Kan Opener clone, some may say. But what a robot TO clone. This robot has a massive set of horizontal claws, hard armour and a low ground clearance. The weapon is good, but the wheels are exposed, and in the deadly world of DD, that isnt good!
Ive got a question for you. Can you say Crazy? Well, the next robot to enter certainly cant! This is RIPPER ROO, a crazy but nasty customer. Named after a character from Crash Bandicoot, this cylindrical full body spinner is itching to do some damage, and it ISNT to be taken lightly. Its invertable, but once again, the tyres can be hit.
And finally into the ring is a nasty looking bot named SLAYING MANTIS E, who happens to be a tournament champion himself. This robot is very Razer-equse, with a nasty crushing claw, with added srimech. The design of the claw makes it almost impossible for an oppodent to escape. But, whilst 6 seconds doesnt SEEM like a long time, it is for a srimech to work.

And, off the threesome go. I heard rumours of Crusha and Ripper Roo teaming up on Slaying Mantis E. Well, at the moment, Slaying Mantis E is heading in the direction of Crusha with Ripper Roo nowhere in sight. Crusha looks worried, but he has to stay away from that evil claw. Crusha goes up the wedge, but escapes before the claw can be brought down. If youre wondering about the spikes along the body of Slaying Mantis E, theyre to keep it from getting stuck on its side. Still no involvment from Ripper Roo, hes spinning wildly, like his CB counterpart, but not moving. Crusha meanwhile dodges round the back of Slaying Mantis E and crushes in. The armour of Slaying Mantis E is 3mm titanium and aluminium alloy, but it is at the mercy of Crusha. He has it grabbed like Kan Opener has had so many times. NOW Ripper Roo is moving, as Crusha turns Slaying Mantis E slowly towards the spinning bot. BAMM! Ripper Roo hits Slaying Mantis E with a Tremendous CRASH!!! That is going to hurt in the morning. Crusha turns the Slaying Mantis again, as Ripper Roo now hits the side! CRASH! The force sends both Crusha and Slaying Mantis E towards the CPZ. In comes Smudge RV, slamming the two into the wall. Smudge RV travels at 45mph. NOTHING is faster across the arena. And he picks the two and carries them outwards. Still, Crusha is locked with Slaying Mantis E. Can they actually let go? Ripper Roo goes for ANOTHER HIT! Are there bits falling off? Maybe not, but it is close to doing so. The pit release has been activated by Smudge RV. Crusha is bringing a limp Slaying Mantis E towards the pit. It hovers...but it wont drop! Crusha CANT let go! What does it do now? HAH HAH! It drives in WITH Slaying Mantis E. Tom B is celebrating. He knows that since Slaying Mantis hit the deck first, he will survive.
CEASE!
CRUSHA AND RIPPER ROO GO THROUGH!
One word. Lovely!:proud:
YES!! Through to Round 2, cant wait to see the draw for that?
You wont have long to wait Tommy B. The next round, plus Sumo if Im feeling good, will be up this weekend.
BATTLE 2
First into the ring of doom and destruction, the kind we (I at any rate) like on Dinowarrior Destruction, is HURRICANE, looking to kick some robot butt. This invertable wedge shape is all about power. Its not pretty, but it does the job. It also has a spinning flail that can cause some damage. A nervous driver could let it down though.
Next to enter is RETURN OF ROADBLOCK. No, this ISNT the real Roadblock, its just a seriously updated carbon copy. 20 kilos of its 99.9 weight is that powerful rear cutter, and it also has a powerful flipper to right the robot if it gets flipped over. Its shape is bulky, and OOTAs are virtually impossible, but it is a dated design.
Finally is the first real robot to enter the clash, STORM 2. This robot is the reigning world champion, after beating Hollands Tough as Nails, and Sri Lankas Supernova. It also came second in RW7, beating Grim Reaper, Firestorm 5 and Tornado, before losing to Typhoon 2. It is all about push, but it also has a lifting arm of some power. Control is an issue though.

We have two pushers and a flipper. Which way will this go? Well, dont ask me! Im just the commentary! Anyways, Storm 2 goes straight for Return of Roadblock. I wouldnt recommend it though, as I heard that ROR and Hurricane are going to team up against you. Hurricane comes in round the back and brings in its own power push! It simply RAMS into Storm 2, but Storm 2 cant be held onto for long. ROR hits Storm 2, but there is no real damage, Storm 2 is built like a brick. No, it ISNT made of bricks! Its a figure of speech. Storm 2 tries to pick off the weak link, and despiratly! ROR hits the pit release, hoping to get Storm 2 in the pit. Hurricane pushes Storm 2 towards Die-Ro, but, sadly for Hurricane and the dragon based House Robot, there is nothing of Storm 2 that is flammable. Storm 2 gets away, crashes into Return of Roadblock. Storm is looking weak so far...OH, AND STORM 2 HAS PITTED RETURN OF ROADBLOCK! Well, you can have all the weapons in the world, you can have the best laid plans, you can team up, but sometimes it just DOESNT work! Oh dear.

STORM 2 AND HURRICANE GO THROUGH!
Round 2 line-up
Storm 2 vs Ripper Roo
Crusha vs Hurricane
Tactics: Stay in the centre of the arena, and keep hitting them. Its an FBS, and we know how Storm 2 doesnt lile those....
Wooty fight Chris :)
Main tactic will be to get head on, yet it crush into the Hardox, which it wont damage, then push it backwards. Remember Tough as Nail vs Storm 2?
If there is a chance, Emma will drive underneath and I will fire the flail into the tyres.
One sumo clash+Two round 2 clashes coming up
Our Sumo challenger against Jakamoko 2 is Clawdius Decimus Murderous, or CDM for short, This wedge shape with a box/wedge back is finelly tuned for pushing. Its claw will not be much use here, but the front wedge probably will be.

Jakamoko 2 is waiting CDM
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
Off goes CDM towards the left of its armadillo opposition. Jakamoko isnt quick, but he is persistant. CDM gets round the side of Jakamoko and pushes. Jakamoko is heavy, and hard to push. Jakamoko is nearing the edge, but Jakamoko gets away from CDMs push. Back comes Jakamoko, and gets round the side. The two clearances clash. Jakamoko makes a charge...OH, And lifts the skirts! How rude! No escape now, surely! And Jakamoko 2 has pushed CDM off the platform. What a sad end.
The time has come in. That was...34.50 seconds.
Well done CDM, but there are many more where that came from.
Now for some round 2 matchs.

CRUSHA VS HURRICANE

House Robots are Smudge RV and Dreadlocks Revenge
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!!!
Hurricane starts first, slowly, but will go faster, can actually get up to 40 miles per hour, but the team rarely take it above 20. Its faster than Crusha. Crusha comes in, but Hurricane gets away. Crusha comes in...AND MAKES A GRAB!!! Hurricane, you do NOT want to be in there! Thats suicide! Crusha can puncture...err, hang on...no it cant. The armour of Hurricane is just too tough. Im starting to sense something here. Hurricane is now using superior traction to drive Crusha where he wants it to go. In this case, into the pit release button. Down goes the pit. But Hurricane, not wanting a short fight, pushes Crusha into the crusha-ing jaws of Dreadlocks Revenge. The jaws may not be able to cut through hardox, but it can crush down on Titanium! There are some nasty holes in the armour of Crusha. Theres smoke coming out. Hurricane turns and guides Crusha towards the pit. It isnt going to last long...and Crusha is dangled over the pit. Its just hanging there! After a few seconds, Crusha finally gives up...and lets go!

RIPPER ROO VS STORM 2
ROBOTEERS STAND BY
House Robots this time are Die-ro and Irritator
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!!!
Ripper Roo needs to spin up before it can attack. Storm 2 knows this, and comes straight onto the attack! BANG!!! Storm 2 hits Ripper Roo and sends it spinning wildly! Well, thats what Ripper Roo is supposed to do, right? Anyways, Ripper Roo tries to get to a corner, but Storm 2 rams it in there. However, both robots are in a CPZ! In comes the dino-bot Irritator! He has two robots to toy with, but on this occasion, he grabs the open lifting arm of Storm 2, and he clamps on, his chisel scratching the surface, nothing more. Ripper Roo escapes, but not before Die-ro comes in and burns the burnt orange paintwork some more! (I thought Ripper Roo was blue) Storm 2 finally escapes, but there is a major problem: Ripper Roo is now spinning at full throttle! Ripper Roo moves towards Storm 2, and the two COLLIDE! BANG!!! STORM 2 IS FLUNG ASIDE! Is there any damage? Well, maybe mental, but what about physical. OUCH! RIPPER ROO HITS AGAIN! Storm 2 is flung away AGAIN! Ripper Roo hits the pit release, where is Storm 2? Oh, now he rams Ripper Roo, gets underneath, but he is close to the pit! Ripper Roo spins slightly and HES KNOCKED STORM 2 INTO THE PIT!!!
CEASE!!!
RIPPER ROO GOES THROUGH!!!
Heat Final
Hurricane vs Ripper Roo
S***!! I forgot about Round 2 tactics. Oh well, btw, Chris, if the next fights are on in the next 2 weeks, you decide the fate of my machines but my tactics for Heat C Round 1 with Montys Pass (if Alex wants to, but I mightve forgotten if we did agree to this), is that Ill team up with Tengu 6 & well destroy El Persistance
Actually, Im changing the heat line-up round, like they swapped A and E with Series 7. Im only doing this because Chameleon is in the next heat, and Steven will need to tell me what he wants to do, and hes on holiday too.
I dont see why not to team up, no point rejecting lessening the odds.
Ripper Roo is dangerous, and mustnt be yet to spin up.
I am assuming you are using the robot wars 7 arena here (as I forgotten), so the robots start head-on. This will be a case of trying to get over to the vapourbot before it can run away to get the spinning ring upto speed, then ram into it at full speed, hitting it backwards, and box-rushing it into the pit or into the house robots.
I will get the bin-bages ready, as I am not predicting a good fight for me here.
The arena is the series 7 one. The whole tournament is based along series 7. The only difference are the house robots.
Thanks.
Its because of the various arenas currently floating about. Wait till VCL 04, the knockout stage, the arenas will be interesting.
Right, me and Dave are talking, and weve agreed the same thing, though I hope hell come on to confirm this.
We want a clean fair fight, so if either of us is dead, we plan on pushing it in the pit, and neither of us will allow the HRs to intervene, trying to keep them away.
Now, tactics.
The rule of spinning weapons is that a powerful spiunning weapon will turn both machines around. I do not want to drive up onto the flail, so Ill not attack the front, or the back, I will concentrate on the sides.
The idea will be to hit them, get the weapon back up from whatever speed its lost and hit their side again, doing this repeatedly. They have bad manouvreability due yo too much traction and this means that outmanouvreing them should be easy. If I do go on the wedge, Ill just drive straight up and over it with the tyres as even if we go over, were invertible. The overall result Im hoping for, is that if I focus on the sides, after killing the attachments, Ill be able to get to the drive chain, as the aluminium should rip straight away, and repeated attacks will do the titanium in nicely.
we will be doing that.
Chris, is it ok for Hurricane to lost half of the width of the wheels?
Halfway through a tourney and after already fighting? Cheeky begger :P
Nah, leave them as they are.
