mmmm bitter much?
Wedge bots, with flippers and servos for drivers aren't exactly anything new.
My own problem with kits is that there is no market for them. They are too powerful and well made for cheap toys for kids but by there very nature they are not strong enough to compete in competitions at any level (if they fit in the rules).

Re: robo challenge mini bot
Very nice Dave lol
I haven't seen a battle ant unfortunately however, as gary said, a servo driven robot is not new and Robo Challenge have produced their take on it with a nice reliable system that helps families get into technology, engineering and most importantly a door to roboteering. Robo Challenge were the first uk company to produce combat robot kits now all the main organisations have produced their own versions.
Re: robo challenge mini bot
I'm curious, how much do the 2 kits cost to make in terms of component parts ? I know you may get discounts for bulk buys but I wanted to know how much of your price is for the parts and whats for profit.
A lot of the event compere's say that FW's are the cheapest weight class to get into. I strongly disagree, but I would like to compare my costs against those of the battle kits.
