I agree with Dave and Calum, Weird Alice was a complete nightmare. The only person to drive it with what looked like full control was Jonno. It's currently being rebuilt with 4 wheel drive, much easier.
Therefore, Jonno would probably get my vote for his ablilty to drive Weird Alice with control, that said I would also commend Shane Lale for how well he drive's Weird mAlice and any other robot he get's hold off.
That's always been the problem with Skink, front wheel drive.
File under: seemed like a good idea at the time!
Mike.
There you go Ian, 4WD coming up and you've already got the armour upgrade- I feel vindicated suggesting all of that at Hemel three years back. Just needs a bigger scoop on the front to finish up! Nice to see you've been getting some results with the new machine, BTW- you guys deserve it.
John, we're going to be replacing the flipper with an axe as part of the rebuild, just so we have a different weapon to play with.
mostly when it was on TV the axe's were mostly the people who lost in my opinion, like if you have a good flipper you can win against an AXE pretty easy, but as thingy says, depends on the driving.Quote:

Of course if we were talking worst driver I'd be in with a shout, although we still won a few. I think we hold a winning record against Beast, eh John?
:proud:
Oh, and Pyrogram- depends on the axebot. Most of them weren't that great when RW was on TV. It's certainly not easy to beat Terrorhurtz, and the current version of Thor is pretty formidable too.
yer thats true, but the good old hypno-disc pwned with that disc lol , what happened to there robot if you knowQuote:

Towards the end on the TV show they were looking a bit vulnerable to the better armoured flippers. The final version was still dangerous though! If you're keen on Hypnodisc, try to get to the featherweight championships later this month (see details elsewhere on the forum), and see 360 in action. For it's size it is incredibly powerful- IIRC it is more powerful in absolute terms compared to early versions of Hypnodisc!
We are veering seriously off topic though- my steering of threads may be even worse than of robots...
