isnt it somewhat biased to award a Robot Wars vs Battlebots tournament with the name ROBOT WARS: Evolution? :proud:
apart from that nice concept, I was too late to enter

I suppose so, Martin. Its a shorter way of saying Which is better: RW or BB?
Any more tactics before the fight begins?
Firestorm V vs. Storm II VS Pussycat
Ill go for Firestorm first, and try and get it down the pit like with what happened in the RW7 Semis. As far as I know, Firestorm couldnt get under the front of Storm II last time, and he never really got at the sides, so I should be okay. :) If Pussycat REALLY starts to become a bother, attack it instead. :proud:
Typhoon II vs. Anarchy vs. Razer
I love Joeys vanity. :P Razer to pit Anarchy almost instantly.
Killerhurtz vs. Biohazard vs. The Matador
Biohazard could self-right if that rear skirt wasnt in the way, so..The MAtador to flip it on its titanium back. :P
Nightmare vs. Voltronic vs. Surgeon General
I cant help but think Ive fought Voltronic before...Nightmare I have, but that was when SG had the crappy disc, and it shattered. Now its got a goooooood disc, but I wont attack Nightmare this fight. I wanna smack open Voltronics side and rear panels first. If I can coax open the lifter as well, Ill try hitting that too, but mostly aim for the sides and rear, while avoiding Nightmares vertical blade as much as I can while attacking Voltronic.
Lets see some good fights!
...one robot through from each fight Ko-D, one robot through from each fight :proud:
...
God DAMNIT! I was thinking it was one robot through from a fight at first, then I read the first post and ended up thinking one robot goes out from each fight. :P
What a mix-up. Uh...Im just gonna wing it without tactics or predictions then. :lame:
ROBOT WARS: EVOLUTION: ROUND ONE
A new breed of robots are coming to Robot Wars to see who is the best, once and for all!
BATTLE ONE
From Durham, Firestorm V!
A wedge with a Co2 powered flipper that can throw robots out of the arena, Firestorm V has beaten robots such as S3 and Terrorhurtz in the past. It was a three time grand finalist and came third in all of them, but with only 2WD, Firestorm could be put out!
From Worcester, in Worcestershire, Pussycat!
Runner up in Series Four, Pussycat and its famous circular saw have won many competitions, including the All-Stars Championships. Its odd design makes it difficult to get hold of, but the wheels are exposed and this has led to its downfall in the past.
From Ipswich, in Suffolk, Storm II!
A box with six wheels, Storm II is the current runner up in Robot Wars. Armed with a lifting arm, its speeds of 25mph are too much for some robots, but it could be hard to control itself. Will Storm II strike lucky here?
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Firestorm V, Pussycat
B2: Storm II
House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
Storm II charges straight for Firestorm, who tries to turn away, but cant in time! OH! SLAMMING it into the wall! Pussycat comes in and hits the back of Storm II, causing no damage, but Firestorm is free and it gets under Pussycat, pushing it towards Mr Psycho! Pussycat needs to get out of there...OHH! Down comes the hammer, and right on top of Pussycat. Storm II pushes into Firestorm again and lifts it up, but not over. Into the other CPZ, which is empty. Pussycat gets away, but Storm II sweeps under it and INTO the wall it goes! Pussycat bouncing away, but it recovers. Firestorm comes back and tries to get around the back of Storm II, but Storm II turns around and pushes it towards Mr Psycho! Pussycat presses the pit release button as the hammer of Mr Psycho CRASHES onto the top of Firestorm! Storm II leaves it alone and charges at Pussycat again. Pussycat hasnt got any real pushing power and that allows Storm II to get under it and push it...OH! Into the pit! Down Pussycat goes! Firestorm tries to push Storm II from the side, but only slides up it! Storm II turns and pushes Firestorm towards Growler! Growler gets his jaws around Firestorms back and pushes it back into the arena centre! Storm II gives chase and pushes Firestorm from the side, back into Mr Psycho! Firestorm gets away, and Mr Psychos hammer misses and smashes the arena floor! Firestorm on the ropes here, because it isnt the best in shoving matches. Storm II gets under the front again and pushes Firestorm towards...OH! Just missing the pit! Firestorm tries to get away, but Storm II lifts it up and pushes it back into Growler, who pushes Firestorm back into the main arena again! Storm II pushes from the back and NOW Firestorm goes down! What a shame. It was a valiant effort from Daniel and Graham, but Storm II, with Kody and Ed, go into the next round!
Cease!
Pussycat sent back to its basket, while Firestorm gets extinguished!
Storm II goes into the next round!
And then, we have Razer, Typhoon II and Anarchy!
I hope that battle was up to your expectations, everyone. If not, please tell me
The battle, yes. Your patience needs smoothing out, though, ELLIOT. I feel like that match was given to me since you didnt let Steve and Dan have enough time to give tactics. Admittedly I dont think would have given tactics anyway, but its still courteous enough to wait and see if they do. :proud:
Ah, its OK. I couldnt think of any good tactics against those monsters anyway. :proud:
As for Voltronics battle, Ill head for the Surgeon General first and try to snag one of the wheel houses, all the while trying to avoid that disc. Once Ive got a good grip, head for the Pit and dump it down. Same tactics against Nightmare.
Hasnt Biohazard self-righted before, with the skirt? Maybe my memory is just totally messed up here...
Anyway.
Typhoon 2: Run away so I can get time to spin up, and from there on just destroy stuff.
Matador: Flip em. 100% aggression.
How long do you think I should wait for tactics, Kody? Just wondering, thats all
