Battle bot help needed
If it is for a project, consider the following:
a) Brainstorming - gets you good marks for ideas that look good on paper but that you should realise are not feasable for safety/ practicality grounds
b) Projects have to be completed within a timeframe... make sure you can finish it
c) A heavyweight robot is expencive, difficult to move and extremely dangerous.
d) A featherweight robot is much cheeper, easy to move and can be built safely (and much quicker).
e) Antweights are even cheeper, can be put in a pocket and still incorporate some serious firepower and technology.

True, but even normal ants compared to other robots have a very high euro or GBP per gram price. Even the cheaper ones.
In comparison, for the same price per gram, my heavy would have cost 267.000 euros. :)
(Yes I know it is not a fair comparison :) )

I wouldnt even think about including any pirotechnics in there.
If I were you, I would go with the lifter, nice and controlled and relatively easy to manufacture.

I think people have given you a good starting point, Leos post above for example. If you need any more help, I suggest you begin to make decisions as to what you actually want, and we can advise accordingly, and be a little more polite to those trying to help you.
Best of luck

ive not heard of a twack bot or a lifter .
there is no rules in the match it will be a fight to the immobilisation so i think i will need an active weapon and ive always liked axes so how can i give my axe enough striking power

Twackbot - a robot usually equipped with a static swinging weapon (like an axe) and the robot spins on the spot clubing the weapon into the opponent. Stinger is most famous for this, but can also be acheived in the style of BonX.
Lifter - basically an electric flipper. Uses an electric motor or actuator to lift an arm up. Has unlimited shots unlike a pneumatic system. Off the top of my head I cant think of any famous lifters, but one of the best is Rampage.
If its a battle to immobilisation, youll probably want to go along the Terrorhurtz design if youre going with axes. This involves a pneumatics setup and rack and pinion mechanism to drive the axe. An electric axe will be more of a clamper and wont to as much damage.
Hope that helps. :)
