Bloody hell!!.. What was the disc of that robot at the begining of the clip made of?? That was just a bit too scary the way it came apart!!
The arena looks good though.

The disc was made from Aluminium (driven by a Magmotor), they now know not to make a disc from aluminium.
The robot it broke on has titanium armour; we actually didnt have any damage from that impact, only a small scratch :).

Its not that clear on the video btw, but the disc flew straight into the polycarb (12mm). Fortunately it left little more than a scratch and a small dent.
And any Brits that wanna show us how its done are more than welcome at a next event!
Aluminium is perfectly fine in most cases as a disc material, but only if its the right grade... that one evidently wasnt :)
