what kind of tx are you using and what did you do to snap it off?
Using the Giant Cod Radio Link set. Its been nothing but trouble, partly because they're built very badly and we got ours 2nd hand....
The mechanism on the right stick seized up in vertical movement, so I removed the horizontal mechanism which freed it up (not sure why that helped but it did) then when I was testing it the other day the stick stick just snapped and dropped inside the controller. I opened it up to find it had snapped clean off it's shaft. I was just testing the drive, nothing vigorous. Got some super glue on it, hopefully that'll hold hold enough to last the competition!
Is your receiver still working correctly? I have a Giant Cod transmitter that I won't be using for this event (no RX to go with it) so I can bring it along and you can use that if you want?
I use this it works fine http://www.galaxymodels.co.uk/detail.asp?id=26732
The original Rx broke, so we had to buy a new one, might as well have bought a brand new set since it ended up costing us more. Even more so now the Tx is falling apart!
But if you could bring yours along that would be excellent! Thankyou very much.
It doesn't even have a Battery cover on the back! So if you see us scrambling around madly on the floor frantically picking up AA's mid fight that's why.....
Just fitted the bane bots wheels to boner. Think I might have gone for rubber that's just a little bit too soft so they may not last the whole comp but i got a back up pair so it's cool. Super ultra mega grippy though. Looking forward to getting back into the arena 8)
I've been defeated before I'm even in the arena. Carcinus is out. Just still too much to do and not enough time, even with the fact it isn't competing till Saturday. Had problems with the drill motors too which I wasn't anticipating so that slowed things up. Kinda gutted but I was chancing my luck trying get it built in four hours.
Managed to get all the little bits and pieces done to Drumroll though so at least I can give that my full attention. Only thing outstanding is the drum vibration; if I get it balanced then awesome, if not then I can roll with it. All the important bits are either taped, cable-tied or Loctited so the vibration shouldn't cause too many issues.
Now I just need to get packed and then can start looking forward to the next three days :D
bring the bits and we can see about knocking it together :)
im absolutly gutted i cant make this event, i could have entered with spike the avenger but i wouldnt have come out with anything, and possibly some of the more expencive parts would have been damaged.
hopfully next year ill be able to compeat with ReAvenger or a new spinner (but im keeping that under wraps currently)
No chance of getting mine done now, Just spent half hour on it and got bored, Dont think I can be bothered doing anything on it. I might go back and do a bit in an hour or 2 and just build it up so it looks like a robot. Wont be working tho.
