As you approach the rift breach grendel looms into view, it is massive and heavily muscled, but seeming only the form of that filled with inky black smoke as if grendel is nothign but a mould for far nastier forces.

Alex, the reason i keep bugging over the level up is because i cant make full tactics without knowing what i can do, Frank and i are both in the situation where we dont know all of our abilities, im not trying to be pushy for the heck of it.

Ooh, seeing as i can entangle him, that would be useful, i also assume that i still have the implants so i can deal out damage while at the same time, nudging anyone who gets too close to being smashed out of the way.

Id assume that Healing Light is a more powerful form of Close wounds? Or is it something else?

The eleven leave the forest into the clearing, in the floor is what appears to be a black hole swirling although rather than sucking things in black clouds billow forth from it like the inside of a malicious looking lava lamp. Suddenly grendel appears, launching itself out of the pit and lands with a gigantic thud that knocks half the party to the ground. If you think of a balrog and loose the wings and the fire and make it three times the height and double up its muscles you€™ve got pretty much what grendel is.

Grendel Attacks€¦

Rasputus and Pedro launch themselves into the air and circle round the beats head, confusing the creature and it flails wildly. But that€™s not the main thing going, Nimera and Sarah stand side by side while the creature is distracted, their eyes closed and suddenly there face tightens and grendel is knocked down as if he had just recived a gigantic punch causing the black creature to roar in pain.

Sarah and Nimera have learned co-op move; TK Gigapunch

The Professor dashes around the foe firing his weapons into its black mass although damage seems to be minimal, green laser light firing from his cane but the professor is gone before the massive bludgeoning fists of grendel come down and crack the earth.
The god Tlaloc summons rains to the sky and it beats down heavily upon the massive black creature making tiny hissing sounds as it evaporates, causing the vast beast to look up into the air. Tom and Frank take this opportunity to attack, The blue laser on Toms hand cutting down through the beasts flesh, and although no damage is visible the beast obviously feels the pain as it slams its hand down towards Tom, but seems to be caught on a field about a foot above his head. He turns to see Sammy€™s face clenched as she holds the barrier in place and Tom dashes to safety before the fist comes down creating rents in the earth. Frank discharges electricity in a field around him keeping the creature off balance he sees the vampire dart in and sink his fangs into the leg of the colossus that they are fighting. The dark substance of the rift fils Nimeras veins.

Nimera receives upgrade; rift blood.

Suddenly with a single punch to the leg he floors the huge creature. But Grendel is bigger and hammers down with his vast fist, Nimera catches it but it bring him down to one knee, face contorted with effort. Frank seeing the vampires predicament runs over and places his hand on the black flesh of the rift being and unleashes everything hes got into the vast creature

Electricity crackles through him filling his veins filling ever cell of his being and then suddenly he unleashes it ten thousand volts through the hands. The beast screams and roars as the flesh upon which Franks hands lie is incinerated by the awesome electrical abilities.

Frank learns special ability; hands of thunder

The beast rtracts its hands quickly, two hand shaped scars can be seen visible upon it. Rasputus suddenly dives down and rakes his claws across the right eye of the creature causing it to reel backwards. Suddenly the two as yet unparticipating members of the Iron leaf come into action The goat runs forward and head buts the vast creature in the leg and it tries to gain balance upon the edge of the rift but a second TK gigapunch from Nimera and Sarah knocks him in.

You defeated Grendel

Rasputus explains to the Prof that all he need do is dip his hand in the rift. He advances and plunges his hand into it, it feels freezing cold but suddenly the whole rift has gone although the Prof looks pale.

Suddenly Doomforall appears, seeming to be standing on the top of a nearby tree.

Your next opponent calls itself Lif, it does seem these rift beings are fans of northern european mythology, dont know why.

No one has managed to see this ones form, however it is highly dangerous. Doomforall waves his hand

Suddenly all of you find youselves in the middle of a great desert. The sun is just setting and a large pyramid can be seen to the west.

Hmm. I say we go for the Pyramid. All the directions seem the same, and at least its a landmark.

Also, Ejyptian Pyramids were built close to the Nile. So hopefully, Pyramid = water.

I say the pyramid also, lets just not go in it if it can be helped :p

If there is water, that would mean plants and animals hopefully, works for me :p

Besides, if its our only landmark, its the only sure way to not get lost.
