The funny part being that Graupner wasnt making them to start with.
They just relabel Johnson motors, like the Johnson PMDC HC987LG-001 (a.k.a. Speed 900)
Im not complaining, i too have 12 spares :D

matt the picture seems to be working
ok thanks wat do you think
I dont know how much power you will generate with that axe, but it could very well be your axe will swing your robot instead of the robot the axe.
i was thinking about that the other day i may need to do hardox armour as i have the weight might keep it down abit more but would meen it would be 13.6 instead of 12 so no room to upgrade if i wished
That wont always help - only if you were to jump in the air it would weigh it down a little. If it did flip the robot you would need some form of tail at the back to elongate the body. Thats what THZ, THOR and Basher have. Little hitter is much longer in itself so doesnt need one.
i boubt it will be as powefull as any pnuematic axe but ill have to see when i test it
someting like Grant suggested would help:

Do not underestimate the power of an electric scooter motor. Besides its the momentum that does the trick.
that looks cool would the tail have to be metal or could it be nylon or polycarb
Pretty much any material that is stiff enough. Nylon, Polycarb, HDPE, as long as it doesnt bend to easy it will work.
do you think it will get that much power from a 250w scooter motor on 36v im not underestimating it i think it will do well but just asking about it
Yes it can. Check out some of the Aussie axes, and I think Tony Booth also made one with a motor like that.
yes tony did but on 24v and with a 200w motor so hopefully mine shoud be better but specs dont mean much when it comes to battle
does any 1 have any vids of axes using the same motor on that voltage
pic of motor on profile
Ive asked it on the Aussie forum for you.

From the Australians forum http://www.robowars.orghttp://www.robowars.org . This is all on 24V, because they feel 36V is way too much to control these motors.
thanks leo they look good
Its a miserable day outside. You had planned to walk to the library but it now seems so unappealing, and then of course you remember the reason why you need to go to the library? To study for exams!!
Isnt life dull sometimes?

Just out of curiosity what weapon motors were you using? I thought the previous ones had burned out?
Geoff, PM sent
Adrian, dont think our landlord would like it had I tested it out on the oven, although the linear actuator did hit the washing machine on the last shot - no damage done though :)
Jamie, PM recieved,... Sorted!
mayhem coming on nicley just got to get the wheels sorted then i can move on and start finishing it

Spiffy looking motors Matt. :)
Leo, where can i go for those speed 700 drive motors you supplied me?
what does spiffy mean
and leo where can I get a couple of relays similar to the ones that Adrian has in prodigy evo?
There doesnt seem much point in me having variable speed control over hornet 2s disc :)
Spiffy is cool, radical, great.
Adrian, they are Graupner Speed 700 turbo C motors. If your local RC hobby shop doesnt have these in stock they should be able to get them quite easily. Item number 7307
