Not much to say for Wedge Devo except woo!
That and aim for Panicking Stills sides, feed it to any hazard I can find and either flip it out or pit it. Ill stay away from those front forks too.

The 3rd seed needs to get in and stop the beater and right now that€™s exactly what he€™s doing, crashing into Dervish€™s weapon, buffeted into the air already but coming down and stopping the beater! Not liking this effective charge one bit, Daniel turns away from the claws, but Flank Attack is after it like a maddened hornet! However, Dervish proves the trickier to catch by spinning on the left wheel; Flank Attack crashes into it, the scoop nailing the wheel straight on, and Daniel seizes his chance. Dervish spins straight on the spot, smashing into Flank Attack€™s right side claw!
CRASH!!!
Flank Attack has a grip on Dervish no more! It€™s been sent over top of Dervish due to where it was hit, and now Dervish spins away, getting the beater going again! Flank Attack is of course invertible, and hurriedly gets back in on the attack, a little too late considering Dervish€™s beater has already topped 1000RPM! Daniel presses the advantage by moving in on the 3rd seed, however Flank Attack has a trick of its own! It turns towards the right wheel, then swings around bringing the left side claw into the side of the wheel, turning Dervish aside! Flank Attack now goes after the wheel, only for Dervish to back up suddenly and send Flank Attack flying by him! The TAN-alike is at a disadvantage and now Dervish moves in! It€™s too late to spin around, Alex!
CRASH!!!
All the kJ swinging through that beater weapon of Dervish has just been violently transferred into almost the entire side of the claw of Flank Attack, and Alex€™s bot has been sent for a trip! A trip across the arena, that is! It€™s flung into the air and does a complete 360 before landing back onto the arena floor, rather dazed and befuddled by this attack; however, it€™s only going to get worse, because that weapon of Dervish€™s has spun right back up in the time it has taken Flank Attack to land back on the ground and turn to face Daniel€™s machine! The MacWilliams machine is in trouble now; its armour and claws are holding up, but every time it attacks, it gets counter-attacked! How long can it put up with this abuse? Alex doesn€™t know, but he€™s back at trying to have a go at the wheel, but Dervish turns to meet the claw - and Flank Attack turns to attack the other wheel! Surprised, but undeterred, Daniel spins his machine around, and the beater hits one of the claws of Flank Attack - the opposite way!
CRASH!!!
And it€™s Dervish who gets sent into the air this time! €¦and it€™s hit the same claw it hit just a little while ago, as Flank Attack is bounced off the ground a bit, but still mobile, in fact quite mobile as it finally is able to ram Dervish against the wall, stopping the beater, and€¦and€¦the claw has snuck around the wheel hub€¦and€¦and€¦itâ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s being held in place. Alex is fiddling with the controls; something appears to be wrong with the 3rd seed€™s weaponry! Sure, Dervish is in a disadvantage, but Flank Attack€™s claws are not closing in! Could it be that the battering received has taken its toll on those awesome pincers? Daniel however still knows he€™s at a disadvantage, and tries to get Dervish off the wall, trying to spin backwards, but Flank Attack will not release!
And you know what that means€¦it means The Watcher gets to boast his marvelous refereeing powers. :proud: The copbot makes a €˜hello€™ path straight into the rear of Flank Attack, but only a slight bump is given. A slight bump, however, is all it takes for Alex to get the message, and both the ref an the 3rd seed back off allowing Dervish to finally make a break for it! But Flank Attack isn€™t done just yet; it€™s back across the arena, tackling the exact spot Dervish was headed, and rams the wheel, as Dervish struggles to get the beater going. WHAM! Flank Attack mashes its opponent into the arena wall with great force, and Dervish is pinned again, this time by the side of the wheel! And again it€™s held there, Alex refusing to let him get out, but the beater is spinning this time and Daniel knows he can bring that awesome drumming fury back into play!
Eventually, The Watcher is called in a second time, and not wanting to risk getting smashed up by the beater, bumps Flank Attack again. Flank Attack backs off, and now Dervish can finally turn to face the 3rd seed, and show off its force! The said force is obviously unnerving Alex, and Flank Attack decides to barge in again, after that wheel. But the game plan is now fully predictable, and Dervish rams straight at Flank Attack before it can even turn; the results won€™t be pretty!
CRASH!!!
No they are not, I can assure you! Look at that, Flank Attack spirals into the air, crashing down onto its back, suspended a little due to the claw being bent right up! If Alex had any doubts about his weaponry being dysfunctional, he sure as hell won€™t have any now, and Flank Attack had better do something to get back into this fight; it€™s being completely controlled now by the Stickler team! Dear oh dear€¦Dervish€™s beater, whoo€¦that is scary, and again it€™s spinning, and looking menacing, and Flank Attack comes straight at the beater this time, regarding nothing!
CRASH!!!
BAM! Another graceful hit courtesy of that beater, and another ungraceful landing courtesy of Flank Attack! This must feel what it€™s like to get into a game of drunken fisticuffs, eh Flank Attack? :proud: Flank Attack€™s fisti - er, claws, really aren€™t doing much swinging, the titanium buckled, bent, and about to take another beating as Dervish moves in! Flank Attack turns tail and bolts for the pit release, easily getting there first - BZZT! OH! Dervish has been hit by the - AHH! What have you done to our arena saws?! You€¦you€™ve shattered the€¦the sawblade! What madness is this€¦Watcher, please clear this up, on the double! Flank Attack comes racing in again, and there! Dervish failed to spin up again after hitting the arena saws, and now Flank Attack has him, the beater stopped! Flank Attack pushes, Dervish is in line with the pit! Can he do it?! €¦NO! Dervish spun around, and Flank Attack nearly goes in himself!
Dervish spins up, look how quickly that beater gets to speed! It€™s not taking any chances, straight away from the pit, swerving around the saws so as not to hit them, whoo, close call. Flank Attack is after him again, but I€™m not sure how much longer he can take this abuse. The drive is okay, but the weaponry has just been mangled, though thankfully still in one piece€¦but for how much longer - here comes Dervish on the attack yet again! And Flank Attack is meeting him head on!
CRASH!!!
Flank Attack is again overturned - look at that damage! That claw is thick, but it€™s been bent straight up! It must be hindering the drive by now€¦Dervish moves in yet again - BANG! Not a big CRASH, but it€™s sent Flank Attack, over€¦and finally Flank Attack is showing signs of fatigue, very sluggish now, not turning well, ah€¦makes you feel sorry for it. Wait€¦no you don€™t! This is a robot fight, nobody feels sorry! We want destruction! We want your robot€™s fluids to spill! And Flank Attack circles the pit€¦oh dear, if Dervish were to fall into the pit at this stage, how humiliating would that be€¦but Dervish is not taking the bait, it€™s waiting for Flank Attack to come out from behind the pit€¦the seconds are ticking down€¦

Neither are moving€¦

Neither are showing signs of even wanting to move€¦

Suddenly, Flank Attack darts towards the empty CPZ, and Dervish follows€¦
CRASH!!!
Flank Attack goes for another ride, hit on the side of the claw, which looks ready to fall off!
CEASE!
However, Dervish is unable to finish Flank Attack off! Could the 3rd seed come through this fight the winner? We shall see! Judges, see them off!
Flank Attack: DT - Dervish: Generation X
Strategy = 1/5 - 4/5
Style = 4/10 - 6/10
Control = 9/15 - 6/15
Aggression = 9/20 - 11/20

Flank Attack€™s hopes get blanked! The 3rd seed is branded a grade lower! :proud:

Wedge Devolution wants to prove its seeding and it€™s doing that right now, sliding under the forks of Panicking Still immediately, and tossing it over! Now that won€™t effect Panicking directly, as it€™s invertible, but repeatedly flips could kill it through shock damage, but don€™t forget, Wedge Devo has limited CO2. Wedge Devo again, on the attack, easily under the forks, carrying into Shunt€™s CPZ! Up goes the flipper, and Panicking sent flying straight in there behind Shunt! Shunt turns, and axes the top armourment, but doing very little in terms of external damage, and off goes Wedge Devo to hit the pit release button - oof. Down it goes, that pit. Panicking is still in there, being axed by Shunt but holding up well€¦until Wedge Devo returns for another bout! €¦ah, but now the forks of Panicking have penetrated that flipper of Wedge Devolution€™s! Only the flipper, though, and Steve backs away. Martyn isn€™t a fool though and does not lift the forks up, as Shunt gives him another axing before letting Martyn€™s machine go.
And go Panicking does indeed! Straight into Wedge Devo, and again surprisingly sliding underneath the flipper! Now it lifts€¦but Wedge Devo pushes back€¦erm, why? You€™re only driving your opponent€™s forks into your own - AHH! What was that? Something inside of Wedge Devolution has just burst! I think€¦it was the pneumatic system! And that means€¦that Wedge Devo is without a flipper! Look, it€™s venting CO2 all around the arena, oh dear oh dear, but Panicking does not have the power to push Wedge Devo away, its front wheels have been lifted off the ground, and it gets slammed against the arena wall! Right back in front of Shunt, who axes the top of Panicking again!
Wedge Devo backs away, flipper forced back down as Panicking comes back on the attack€¦WHAM! Aha! Wedge Devo still gets under its opponent! And, uh, let€™s turn around, shall we? Wedge Devo has the Panic Attack-alike securely onto its wedge, and now bolts for the gaping hole! Panicking is trying to fight the hold, but no chance, Martyn, Wedge Devo is much too quick, and a second later, Panicking finds itself lying flat on its back in the bottom of the pit!
CEASE!
Panicking Still lives up to its name! Better get a decent psychiatrist for this lost cause, Martyn. :proud:

HEAT B - SO FAR
Round 1
Flank Attack: DT (3) & Panicking Still won their battle when Panicking flipped up the Gemini twins, and Flank Attack put Storm Wars down the hole.
Wedge Devolution (19) & Dervish: Generation X won their battle when, after a brutal bashing by Dervish, Wedge Devolution flipped Knyfe OOTA after doing the same to Black Panther!
Round 2
Dervish: Generation X damaged Flank Attack: DT well enough to steamroller it in the judges€™ decision.
Wedge Devolution (19), despite having its pneumatics blown, managed to pit Panicking Still fairly quickly.
Round 3
Wedge Devolution (19) vs. Dervish: Generation X
Gimme those awesome tactics and predictions :proud:
Dervish FTW
Despite the fact that Dervish shouldnt be able to move, good fights :P
What Sam said:)
Given Kody doesnt like Wedge very much, Dervish to win...even though I dont like Dervish and I like Wedge (See proflie) :proud:
*makes mental note to increase his sacrificial offerings to Paul in order to get on that list*
Wedge FTW, I think...although as ever you accept this prediction at your own risk.
Woops - I forgot there Joey :proud: Sorry about that.
Who said I hate Wedge Devolution? :wink:
