Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Heatwave v Kaizer v Predator
Amazingly co incidental this isn't it James?
Not that much bothered. Last match I had like this the flipper's base broke and I ground to a halt.
Dizzy 101 v Boner v Kaizer
Not that much bothered. Honoured to fight Boner again. Can't remember Dizzy 101 - was that the spinning orange bucket?
Tiny Toon v Kaizer v Cyberon
It's two pushers for Iesu's sake. If my lifting forks still work, I ain't gonna worry too much about this.

I have 8.4kg to play with JUST for armour
So it will be boring
Good set of draws this year for boner.
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Probably
But at least I will come home with a robot
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
 both my bots are against cobalt in q1 :uhoh: better make some spare top panels and hope i can out run it
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Ok then everyone we gotta make sure that Matt doesn't go home with a robot in one piece to teach him a lesson about building a robot that's more than just a lump of steel ok?
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Im up for that, though im not sure harry overhead bar will actually be able to hit me
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Certainly an interesting draw :)
1) Explosion vs Binky vs Push n Shove
It all depends how good Binky is really, and I don't think I'm going to find out any time soon  I've got the impression that it is a vertical though for some reason. Good job I know Push n Shove pretty much inside out! I can see this going any way, Flipper vs Spinner vs Box, very hard to tell.
2) Explosion vs Push n Shove vs Beauty 7
Push n Shove again! I can imagine that this will be over pretty quickly. I'm assuming that Beauty's going to be a tough competitor judging on previous versions, it will all come down to who's driving it and who's closest to the floor.
3) Explosion vs Mini Mighty Mouse vs Carcinus
Probably the fight that I'm least worried about as I beat MMM last year, and there aren't any unknown quantities. That's not to say I'm relaxed though as it's still a very good robot! It's one of those robots that seems to sneak through the competition almost every time, not necessarily as spectacularly as others but constantly turning you over, and wasting your gas until you end up in the pit or throw yourself out. I can see this being the fight with the most tactics going on.
Re: Robo Challenge - 2013 FRA UK Featherweight Championships
Endeavor v 720 v Rabid
Not sure who the first one really is, but i know rabid is going to be quite strong, hopefully i wont snap my teeth of on it lol...
720 v Tormenta 2 v Robob
Dont know robob, but tormenta 2 is one i really wanted to fight, nice plastic bits - nom nom nom :)
Heatwave v 720 v 4 4 Toon
Heatwave will be interesting to fight, not sure what armour it has? 4 4 toon has vortex and predator before me so hopefully i wont have to worry about it lol

We don't know how good it is either I'm afraid. Hitting lumps of metal is one thing but moving opponents it totally different; as everyone knows.
The lump of metal in question was a 40mm x40mm piece of mild steel box section with a 5mm wall thickness. It only weighed about 2kg so I clamped two bench clamps to it to make it about 6kg total. At 1/2 throttle the disc consistently was able to slice clean through the walls and corners of the bar with almost no effort at all.
I don't know what that translates to in combat but if 1/2 throttle is not enough then perhaps full throttle will be.
