At least hes not using fictional materials anymore...now, if we could encourage the use of designs that arent so obviously ripped off from other people, improve his understanding of weight limits and remind him to include motors to power his weaponry, together with somehow erasing everything he did before and making him less of a jerk, we could be on to something here. :proud:
I think wed be onto something by BANNING him for life:proud:
Or that, yes.
Werewolf
Shape: Low box
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 85 x 100 x 20
Motivation: 6 x vulaklon tyres
Power: 4 x LEM-130s at 36v, gives 36HP
Armour: 4mm hardox all over, but 4mm hi-grade aluminium(7075) base, 5mm titanium skirts
Weaponry: 5mm hardox Bio-Hazard style lifting arm with a 1mm titanium scoop that runs for the full width of the body, powered by an S28-400 magmotor at 24v, geared at 300:1. The scoop can be swapped for 2 hardox tungsten tipped forks
Top Speed: 20mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to scoop, 0 at sides due to skirts, 6mm at rear and behind those
Turning Circle: 0
Srimech: The arm
Colour: Platinum with name written vetically in red on arm
Strengths: Fast, good pusher, interchangeable arm-ends
Weaknesses: High GC at rear
Ive redone Werewolf a bit to get it into 100kg
I wish to know weather or not Cyrilium Jr. and Side Swipe have any problems.
Well maybe if you went to the Moon, they might be within the weight limit with less gravity, but Cyrilium Jr would be lucky to come over 100kg
Well, what about Side Swipe?
Any suggestions for editing it?
Yes, go to the Moon. Or something.
What Joey said.
ffffff>And while youre at it, stay away from here.
I mean mechanically.
Not by going to the moon.
Well, it is possible to go to the moon mechanically. Have you never read Jules Verne?
I mean, are there any problems with Side Swipe mechanically? Such as motor problems? Batteries? Armour?
Of course there are. Put that brilliant mind of yours to work if you want to find them.
Best advice I can give you.
Just noticed that the dimensions of Tira IV...are wrong.
Will change that when the CAD comes up. :lame:

Can someone (other than Mark) check this please?
Can you give a better description of the chisels please?
I see it as Dantomkia only with the two front edges as flippers instead of the centre...looks alright to me.
scroll down the page to see the picture labelled D-Front. The chisels are shaped like those on Dreadnaught

Okay.
Looks like a fine redesign to me, Liam...cept it seems too soon. :proud:
Thanks for checking it anyway. Maybe Brutalis 2.0 isnt quite gone for good yet.... Or maybe she is
Can someone look over this, please?
Name: Blue Sparks
Shape: Box
Colour: Red, with blue sparks painted on the back corners. If youve played the Mario Kart games, think the ones you get when you drift-turbo
Weight: 110kgs
Dimensions: L: 90cm W: 45cm H: 30cm
Speed: 13mph
Turning Circle: 0
Armour: 6mm Titanium all round
Ground Clearance: 7mm
Movement: Tracks, powered by a couple of S28-150 magmotors powered by 2 NiCad Battlepacks at 24 Volts.
Weapons: A 30kg Titanium horizontal spinning disc powered by a S28-150 Magmotor. The 2 teeth are Hardox, and curve to a point to rip as well as bludgeon. The disc spins at 5000rpm and deals out 94kjs of energy.
Scrimech: Invertable
Stating what the tracks are made of may help, otherwise it looks pretty good.
Danny,
3 points:
A: the body length vs with makes it pretty narrow, which especially with tracks makes cornering a problem.
B: Titanium is a good choice if you want something that is strong as regular steel, but for less weight. In discs that is not needed. You would be better off with a high grade steel like toolsteel, Hardox, Creusabro and the likes of those. The impact resistance and hardness is way higher than that of Ti. 30kg is 30kg, whatever the material.
C: You stated 2 24V packs for drive with the S28-150s thats doable (although you will run them hot in 5 min) but nothing for the disc.
(Message edited by leo-rcc on May 16, 2008)
Danny,
Unless youre doing something very clever with the minimag, your disk will take about two minutes to get up to speed and since its not a massive weapon motor, you cant say but it will be deadly in 5s cause it wont.
I would either change the weapon motor or reduce your maximum speed (and energy).
i would say 2 24v battle packs isnt doable and wont last long at all. tracked machines have a lot of friction to deal with which drains the batteries quicker. trax had 5 24v nicad packs and only just lasted a full battle. that was with c40 mags the s28 150 will overheat and damage something.
Please tell me if there is anything wrong with Side Swipe:
Side Swipe
Weight: 110kg
Shape: Barberous 2 with tracks
Colour: Silver
Dimensions: 39cm x 90cm x 39cm
Drive: 2x TWM3R Team Whyachi gearboxes connected to 2x C40-300 Magmotors, powered by 6x NiCad Battlepacks.
Locomotion: 59cm x 10cm x 39cm titanium tank tracks.
Armour: 7mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy
Speed: 16mph
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front due to Sheer Heart Attack 2 style wedge, at sides due to skirts over the tracks. 5mm all around without wedge and skirts.
Turning Circle: 0m
Weapon 1: the Barberous 2 shaped body spins at 760rpm, powered by an S28-400 Magmotor.
Weapon 2: An 7kg Terrorhurtz style axehead, for use as a thwackbot weapon.
Srimech: Invertible
Its a Laertes clone
If its got an axe, it wont be exactly as long as it is high...ffffff>and you blatantly stole the design.
this is not a hidden arse
ffffff>Die male kram die die die die die die die diie die die die die die die amle kram
Ive skipped three lines to say one thing:
If I were you Mark, I would stop copying vapours. Your vapours are better than your tourneys anyway, so if you were to try very hard and not copy anyone.
ffffff>It works a lot better when the colour matches the background :P
Hehe, unlucky Liam - your post co-incided with a grey background so that your secret message shows up :)

Im too tired to blow up right now, so Ill state this nice and short:
Stop.
STEALING.
+1>OUR.
+2>VAPOURBOTS.
lol the secret mssage thing is funny. LOL
Or is it...
Nope, doesnt work on grey.
Hmm...is it possible to embed images directly onto the page?
Dont think so...
Lets see...
No, it seems theyve disabled embedding.
So they should take that part of http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/cgi-...formattingthis
How much do linea actuators weigh and how much power do you get out of them?
Weight: NFI, but you could probably build a weapon powered by them for less weight than if you used pneumatics or hydraulics.
Power: Probably not more than 3 tonnes at most, but Leo will probably correct me on that one.
The 1000th post in this thread!
Can someone check this robot please?
