Its a bought valve just slightly modified. There really heavy tho. What was you thinking of using it in? iv got a couple but they wont take full pressure.

When you say high pressure, How high ? I need to lose some weight for HA and he is running 10 bar. Plus I am looking for an AW size pneumatic valve for other people, its something we find difficult to get hold of; hence I asked if you made it.
They would take 10 bar. The wont take FP standard tho. The valve alone is heavier than an antweight, Ill weigh one. What valve u running at the moment in HA?
Oh and 180 doesnt have omni wheels, Gunna have to guess again, Its kinda magic really.
Well magic
The big question is which one of you was under that sheet of metal holding a magnet? :P
no magnets involved.
Hmm, vibration from one of the machines?
Some kind of futuristic ESC setting that flickers the direction of the motors back and forth, resulting in a |\/\/\/\/\/| type of skidding movement across a smooth enough surface?
I'd be more likely to believe it's straight up magic to be honest.
you guys.put more.effort into beetleweights than feathers
they all look brilliant!
100% Magic.
Flange - Test Drive And Flipping

And still 400g left for armour
Is that weighed with or without gas ? :)
thats with two full canisters of gas
I'm impressed. Maybe I should try and get that speed 900 in the weight after all :P
how much does the speed 900 weigh on its own
645grams
But you see how powerful inertia is with 2 of em
that is.with no gearbox
that isb100-200g alone
oh yeah flange.is epic btw
(Ive just worked out what that means -btw = by the way)
is it?
oh yeah i think dave was joking
Speed 600's would be good though
It's a speed 900 replica which I bought in error, so I had planned to make use of it, rather than spend more money on a new Speed 600.
speed 600's aren't the awnser to everthing archie :P
what do i know
It prob be possible to use the speed 900 Dave just would have to be very selective on rest of parts used . Some of the smaller lighter parts needed to go with speed 900 ie smaller drive motors speed controllers may cost more than just buying a speed 600 would be good to see a speed 900 axe bw though :D
Ye it will be nice to see a good axe robot, be nice to see a few good lifters / flippers too. This is a good opportunity to build somthing very unique for little cost.
Quick update on the arena, the polycarb (10mm) walls are being cut to size ready to slot in and also the 5mm polycarb roof as been sponsored, so we are looking a few weeks and will be ready to take to an event for the first battles!
We will have to start thinking about arena hazards again. We already have a few good ideas and things that got suggested before.
There's probably a nights work getting the polycarb to size and mounting it then we can start the fun parts.
I don't think there should be a pit because you don't have to be Brocken to lose- its not destruction!
I also don't think there should be any arena hazards apart from a flipper- that will encourage all robots to be destructive as the only way you can win is to destroy the other robot.
Perhaps some sort of useless hammer, PULVERIZERARRAERR!!, as the Americans called theirs?
Anything that'll get the crowd thinking there's big damage going on - arena spikes, screws, flails, etc. Maybe even a drop zone?
Standard bare arenas have been done. Would be really nice to see some of the old hazards back, miniature or not.
We are wanting to make it quite Robot Wars like just for the entertainment value.
I want a miniature Jeremy Clarkson and EVERYTHING!
drop zone and spinning floor
A claw mechanism from one of those claw grab games at the seaside. :P
instead of the drop zone we will just have a teabag on a bit of elastic that drops down onto your robots
Jeez man steady on, this is a combat sport but we don't exactly want to have to rebuild after every fight.. :?Quote:

Yup, Every arena needs an arena hazard like that,
Also do you remember the first us robot wars they had the big paddles that swept accross the arena floor and slapped the robots, we can have the same but with a male chicken on the end to slap them.

When do you think this arena will make its debut at an event?
You guys still making your BWs / Arena or did the Pat Van take over?
Still making, got all polycarb for walls and roof and arena is built, just need to sort an event out or bring it to one
Excellent!
Shelved Spinza, figured we have enough spin bots for BW so making something a bit different.
