Robot SMASH!!
Weve got the tactics, so may as well do the bout!
Heat C Final:
WORCK v Nidhogg
Lets see how these two awesome machines got this far...
1) WORCK kicked off the heat by turning Typhoon 2 onto its back and pitting Mark Elams realie.
2) Nidhogg crushed The Curse, despite a good show from Kody early on.
3) WORCK defeated another champion, this time Sheer Heart Attack 2 (winner of Kodys C & B Tournament...Accroding to Paul, at least!)
4) Nidhogg defeated Doorstops on a judges decision, getting double the points!
These two also have a bit of history in one of my tournaments, lets take a look back to the Challenge Belt...
Nidhogg has defeated allcomers to take the first belt!!
The first challenger will be Nitro-Gene 4.0...
Nidhogg easily dispatched the first challenger for the second belt, Nitro-Gene 4.0....
Another Paul Cuomo creation has risen to the challenge, WORCK!
AND WORCK HAS FLIPPED NIDHOGG OOTA!
Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
Booth 2: Joey McConnell
5,4,3,2,1, COMMENCE!
Both bots head straight for each other, Worck preparing to try and get under Nidhoggs forks, Joey not about to let that happen!
WORCK makes the first move, driving towards Nidhogg, but Nidhogg digs the forks into the ground and WORCK runs up onto the wedge! Quickly Joey lifts WORCK into the air and comes down with the crusher, trapping Paul Cuomos machine! Joey carries him over to the pit release tyre, presses it and then carries its worthy opponent to the chasm!
PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT
ANOTHER HEAT COMES TO A CLOSE!
WORCK is in the pit, Nidhogg gets revenge and a place in the finals!

Robot SMASH!!
The fourth heat of Robot SMASH!! is about to get underway! Lets see whos already in the finals...
1) Liar 2 flipped Gabriel out of the Heat A final to win what was a very tough heat with lots of good robots.
2) Supreme Glory Omega shocked everybody by defeating hot favourite All Scoop... in the Heat B final!
3) Nidhogg got its revenge on WORCK in the Heat C final!
Eliminator 13/32:
Another Night at the Bar v Pure Evil: ROTD
Another Night at the Bar was a heat finalist in The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008. Its a very original design, incorporating a cylinder with a horizontal blade underneath.
Pure Evil: ROTD is another very original robot. Its a ring spinner with a flipper powered by the spinners kinetic energy! How cool is that?!
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, TRASH!
Both bots spin up and head for each other in the arena! They start getting close, but Daniel swings Pure Evil around to bring that 38kg spinner into play!
CRASH!
Martijn spins away across the arena floor, and is followed by Daniel, who gets underneath Another Night at the Bar and rams it into the angle grinder! Daniel spins up and lets rip!
FLIP!
ANATB flies up onto the rails, but falls back into the arena! Both bots spin up again and this time Martijn gets in on the attack, tearing into the titanium wedge! Theres a nice gash in that armour now, but never the less Daniel turns and gets that wedge under ANATB again!
FLIP!
This time Martijn isnt as lucky, and lands on the camera tracks!
ANATB IS OUTTA THE RING!
Pure Evil: ROTD goes through to the heat semi-finals!

Robot SMASH!!
Redone Tactics:
259 vs ISD.. Oh, to heck with the long name.
Ive now noticed I have no way in all of time to put even a scratch on him. My plan is to run straight into him with the disc at full speed, and hit him with as much force as possible. It should send him flying into the air, and either OOTA, or still in play. I have a 0mm ground clearance, so he shouldnt get under me, and my disc should mangle him if I go in at the side.

Robot SMASH!!
Eliminator 14/32:
The Quaestor v Coinst
The Quaestor is a powerful axe robot that has the ability to ground itself by taking its wheels off the ground! How this is going to help I dont know...
Coinst has three weapon stups, and Paul has opted to use his spinning drum here to try and throw Joey around. These two have already met twice in this series so far, and its 2-0 to Joey at the mo!
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Paul Cuomo
5,4,3,2,1, RAGE!
They both get off to a quick start, Paul powering up the drum and Joey getting around the side of Coinst! But Paul is ready and brings the drum around, defending itself but not causing any real damage to that front plow! The Quaestor pushes hard into Paul and brings its axe down, denting the top armour! Joey pushes Paul for the full length of the arena and into the pit release button! Paul now tries to run over the top of The Quaestor, but Joey hits with the axe and flips him sideways! Joey now pursues Coinst across the arena while it spins up, but Joey comes up from behind and gets his axe stuck into the wheel housing of Coinsts rear left wheel!
Paul struggles, but Joey drags him across the arena to the pit, pulling half of Coinsts wheels onto thin air! With only two wheels on the ground Paul cant get away and Joey lets go to push him in from a different angle! He takes his time driving around and coming in from the side to deal out the final shove!
ITS OVER!
The Quaestor goes through!

259 v ISDSFA

Robot SMASH!!
Dont worry Paul, you have an extremely difficult battle coming up against Haardvark, so maybe then you have a chance to even the score :proud:

Robot SMASH!!
Eliminator 15/32:
259 v ISDSFA
259 has been seen in both heavyweight and middleweight incarnations, this is the heavyweight robot that nearly knocked Wild Thing 2 out of the second round in RW6. Oddly it did not return in RW7, only ever as a middleweight in RW6.
ISDSFA is another of Frank Goachers designs, a behemoth-like machine with a spinner concealed behind the scoop. Just about everybody except Mark has predicted that this will be a very quick victory for Frank, as 259 has no srimech.
Booth 1: Mark Elam
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, KILL!
259 starts spinning up and speeds towards ISDSFA as fast as it can go! Mark gets there, but doesnt get much done as as soon as Frank gets the scoop under the disc Mark is on his back, spinning the flywheel so that 259 bounces along noisily! Frank pushes it along into the arena wall, getting underneath the side and flipping it again! 259 goes up onto the wall backwards, suspended for a horrific moment before falling into the abyss in what seems to be slow motion, to Mark anyway!
ITS ALL OVER!
A quick match as predicted and ISDSFA storms through to the heat semi-finals!

Robot SMASH!!
Tactics are earlier in the thread.

Robot SMASH!!
I think Ive got the advantage in terms of ground clearance here. Aim for the sides, slide underneath and crunch away. Kodys stats say Killobites armour isnt the best, so Ill see how many holes I can make and try to pit it if things start looking bad for me.
