In all honosty, yes it was. And with 700 grams to spare we should have taken the precaution to at least cover the motors a bit. Live and learn.
Has anyone got some vids of the XFM event online?

And he still won :) after the battery pack broke, need to look at that also, shame you threw yourself out the arena in the final or you might just have won that as well, but well done to the flipper that did win (My memory is blank and cant rember its name).
It was Skink, and as the last robot in the arena a deserved winner and grand champion.
Its not easy to award a win to the robot that launched itself out of the arena Leo !
Plus its lucky the roof is almost 5m high or I think youd have bounced off it !

Im not complaining. I was glad the ram stayed in one piece this time.
Ive been talking to Ian Watts and the biggest problem will be unsoldering and soldering the new HIP chip back in place! Need a couple of FETs, couple of resistors and the controller chip. it wont cost much more than £20 (I hope) to get it running again:)
Big thanks to Ian Watts for all his help.
Hannibalito was great fun to watch
I second Leos question. Anybody got vids of the XFM event?

Great vids Tony! I loved the selfright across the arena one. :)
Is there one of the final as well? Id like to see the flip i did on Little Flipper 2 from another angle.
Got the fight from the pit / arena door corner, Little Flipper is thrown right to left accross the screen.
Awesome vids. :)

Oh ---- more flying lessons
a 3.4 kg ram in a feather???
I will call NASA and get a Launch window.
That monster is a Gravity equivalent.... a heavyweight ram, consuming at least 65L of CO2 in 1 go.
A 600gram bottle contains 307L at best. 4 actions... have fun. Also, I have a difficult time to contain the force of Hannibalito II (at the moment II.3) . And that ram is a few times smaller.
Part finished Feather.

Wow woody, that looks very compact. what does it weigh as it is now?
8kgs ...No battery, ram or armour.
I can see the future, I see a robot that needs a crash diet. :)
I thought we had it bad, no armour and no flipperarm yet on Hannibalito 2 after its modification and also 8 kg. But you are even worse off.
Still, I like the shape and its compact layout. I look forward to flipping it.

I suspect that Ill have little weight left for armour .....maybe 1.5 - 2kgs.
Approx 1kg each for the battery and ram.
The battery will slide up inside the middle leg of the T formed by the Ali channel main chassis.....The ram will angle back towards the 3 port F.P. Valve , between and following the line of the flipper legs.
The speed control , switch etc lives inside the rear channel.
