if u have the torque limiter on it would matter i would think but not if u remove it. most people remove it. makes it easier to mount aswell.

i think i might have a weight problem. well not me but my bot. i have been doing some weighing and i dont know if im going to be over weight. is there anywhere to calculate steel box section weight? found a few calculators but they havent done box section.might have to end up using aluminium for my chassis.
ill have to start putting pics on my photo bucket when i start making progress.

Well im sorta new
Iv been doing these things on and off for a while, bout 8 years. I started with the smaller stuff antweights when I was about 14. Started on feathers at around 17 and for the past couple of years iv been a broke student.
About two months ago I buit my first heavy.
Monolith, since large usless lump was a bit long. Iv started building something more serious with bosch motors and hardox armour. A few initial pics in my profile

Its going to need some good batts and a decent speed controller for those 4 off 12v Bosches.

i love the look of things when you build somthing out of steel and it looks more mean and tuff when you use old steel with abit of rust and leave all the welds showing. but then u go and pretty it all up and then u regret that u ground those welds down and painted it. well i do anyways, but alot of people just think your too lazy to tidy it up.
heh well i could leave the thing a rusty beast. I got a peice of hardox which is prity rusty. Just need to find some rusty bolts and im sorted :)
make the bot and dip in a massive tube of vinager?? that would rust it wouldnt it?? :)
