Not going to expose the wheels again, are you?
Cant wait to see the new Gravity on the go.
Mr Stu
Kody, yes I am.
If you watch the footage of me against Tornado, you will see they punctured the tires from underneath. I cant cover the wheels from underneath, cause that way the wheels wouldnt touch the floor anymore. I dont really care about flat tires, the air in the tires protect the rest from the robot from self induced shock damage...
But then your wheels will be fodder for horizontal spinning weapons. And when theyre ripped off...thats just as bad as a flat tire...unless youre planning to use a good quality rubber? :)
And I know full well what happened in the Tornado vid, thank you. It was 13 Black that said that they were going to smash the wheels off in S7.. (I know they didnt but still...)
Hey, the wheels were protected in S7 :) A full cm of polycarbonate, and a few angles of carefully bashed 3mm stainless ;)
I dont think the backside of the robot is so important. Its the front side of the robot facing the opponent anyway...
Im not going to protect wheels any better because someone says theyre gonna shred them...
Okay then. It looks like youve taken out some pretty good spinners anyway so my point is pretty much moot by now. :) Good luck with G5! :)
Some people go for the- armour the back end heavily, then ram the spinner with the back aproach, I dont see the point.
Make the front end exstra beefy so you can get the weapon in, a flat piece of armour isnt going to hurt anyone.
Hint to the spinner guys- Turbulences back end is only 2.5mm steel :)
Look forward to fighting the new Gravity WJ, i saw on the DRG forum ages ago people were compairing Turb to the old Gravity, I think- couldnt read it very well lol
Dave, we should be fighting in an arena were ootas are impossible. With angled walls (from about 50 cm and up) and everytime a robot goes over that ridge the other robot gets a point ;)
Fights get much more fun that way!
I did have some bad news, the hardox we bought wasnt hardox, so Im probably going back to 3mm stainless. Well see what the junkyard will come up with :)

Good, fights will last abit longer lol
