Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
More VFT? Have we died and reached the Holy Land? :proud:
ALL-STARZ
ROUND 1
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 VS S.D. IV VS S.O.R. 4.0 VS Wheely Big Cheese
Not you again, Andy. :lame:
Main aim here is to shred up the Cheeses wheels (done it before no trouble) and Pit it if need be with my greater traction. Then, either hope MDU kills the Ripper or get around the first champs sides/rear and nibble them wheels. Again, try to Pit.
Two former champs against lil ol me. Thanks a million, Richie. :proud:

Oh sorry, thats SpinVerter, not Spin Dash Im against... Meh, whatever. Go for it:proud:

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
There you go Steve. Now you know how I felt, throwing me in with SF in PTT. Na, no hard feelings really.
TACTICS
Doesnt really matter here. Itll be the last tournament the MK3 version of Orka competes in, so it might as well get destroyed for all I care. But, nevertheless, try my chances with Storm 2, flip it over, then try to pit it. Then take on the weaker of the other two.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
You forgot to say who entered Storm 2.
Storm 2s Tactics
I will start off by going for Orka Mk 3, I should quickly put it down the pit with a quick attack from the sides or rear, and since Im lower, I think I can do something regarding pushing it around from anywhere. Then do a team-up with Gigavirus and go for Hypertension Mk.2, let Gigavirus destroy it and then pit what remains left of the machine.
Thisll probably be my last VFT, seeings as it has gone for quite long (officialy a year on Thursday since this series got started!).
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Yes, it has been unfortunately long, Matt, although some of that can be explained: I took a few months off for revision and Ive had college work to do, although Ill admit there were also times when I didnt feel like writing. Are you not entering because of this, because I can try to write quicker next time (whether its VFT7 or a smaller tournament).
The reason I didnt connect your name with Storm 2 is because I was saying who the Vapourbots belonged to (as each person can only have one Vapourbot in the All Stars), and since Storm 2 is a real robot, it doesnt technically belong to you. Since you entered it in VFT6 however, you are allowed to give tactics for it. Frank, you can give tactics for Firestorm if you want.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
...Im not too worried about if I get mashed up here, cause the side events are only a bit of fun to me, however, given thopportunity, should 2 robots be distarcted by one naother, ram one or both at the side and try and get them out. Ill mainly focus my attacks on Orka and Storm 2, but if I get a chance to chew the Schuh, I shall.

ALL-STARZ
ROUND 1
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 VS S.D. IV VS S.O.R. 4.0 VS Wheely Big Cheese
Ill attack who ever gets closest. Not worried about any of these robots. Obviously AJ and Stevo will be harder to beat then WBC, but I consider them both evenly a threat and will deal with them in the most destructive manor possible.
Not sure how this battle will go, cant be as bad as last season....
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Well, Firestorm seems good against its fellow flippers. Ill go for Max and Achilles, as if memory serves TRTWT sports a low preasure system, so my idea of flipping them until they cant self right any more wouldnt work too well.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
I dont believe in rushing good work. Keep at whatever pace you feel like writing at Rich.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Tactics: Ill ram into Flipping Mad first, as The Disc is gonna go after SvIV. Ill try and slam it into the arena walls and get dominance, aggression and damage points in case the battle goes to a judges decision.
I want to fight Storm 2 in the next few rounds. I want Vengeance! VENGEANCE!!!

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Yes, Im back! Had a little writers block again, plus Ive been preoccupied with preparations for uni. But here we go!
Welcome to VFT6, where we reach our last special event before the grand final - the second VFT All Stars! Last time, 16 All Stars from VFT1-4 went at it, with Gigavirus defeating Maximum Velocity in the final! Now, taking VFT5 and 6 into account, we have a different lineup of all-star robots, ready to battle in what promises to be a thrilling contest!
First is Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1, champ of VFT3 and 4; former runner up and 4th placer SD IV; VFT1 champ SOR 4.0; and VFT1 4th placer Wheely Big Cheese!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 began spinning in the first second, while SD IV and SOR 4.0 advanced on Wheely Big Cheese! Heading for the unskirted SOR, WBC successfully brought its flipper under SOR 4.0 before the spinner could touch it, and catapulted it into the air! But this meant it could not defend itself from the attack of SD IVs saw, which created a cloud of sparks against the right wheel! SOR 4.0 was bouncing on the floor, upside down - it saw MDU coming and tried to run, but failed, and was struck in the side, sending it spinning away! MDU 3.1 now moved towards SD IV, who was pinning WBC against the wall and sawing away! SD IV wisely dodged, leaving MDU free to attack WBCs wheel and badly dent it! Having selfrighted, SOR 4.0 was now coming to join in the fun, hitting WBC in the rear with its spinner, while SD IV attacked from the side, leaving the Cheese with nowhere to turn! MDU backed off, then came barreling in, just missing SOR, striking SD IV and smashing into WBCs wheel again, piercing its armour! WBC now tried to move and attack the disorientated SD IV, but was finding it difficult to turn on its smashed wheel! As SD IV began attacking on the opposite side from MDU, and SOR stayed close to the wall, going for WBCs left wheel now it had shifted, MDU 3.1s next attack came, ripping the wheel some more and completely disabling it!
SD IV and SOR 4.0 ganged up on Wheely Big Cheeses left wheel as the former 4th placer desperately tried to get away, while Mass Disctruction Ultimate went around to join in, but found it couldnt get through, so it just smacked WBC in the side, sending it away from the wall, before nastily bashing SD IV in the rear! WBC was left turning on the spot, and was easy prey for its three opponents: they all advanced, with SD IV brushing MDU and being sent away again, as the twice VFT champ went crash into the left wheel, causing WBC to jump away! Another blow to the left wheel broke it, and Wheely Big Cheese was out of the match! SOR 4.0 and SD IV dodged MDU and gave WBC a nudge to make sure it was dead, then SD IV suddenly turned on SOR 4.0, running under its side and assaulting the wheels, clearly still bitter about losing the VFT1 Final! MDU 3.1 ran after the two robots, as SD IV took SOR 4.0 into the pit release! It tried to get out before MDU could come in, but too late! MDU charged into its side, denting the armour and sending SOR 4.0 flying to safety! SOR 4.0 repaid this kindness by ramming into MDU while firing its flipper, causing itself to be spun away and MDU to tip against SD IV, causing more damage!
Looking rather battered, SD IV backed off from Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1, only to be outpaced and smashed hard again! SOR 4.0 took advantage by coming in and ramming SD IV into the wall, trying to get past the skirts! But when MDU 3.1 came in for another go, it swerved away, and SD IV endured another blow while against the wall, causing a crack in its Hardox armour! The wounded former silver medallist turned towards the VFT1 Champ as MDU 3.1 backed off, and they began turning around each other, trying to gain an advantage, but suddenly MDU 3.1 was back! Both robots tried to turn away, but SOR 4.0 was glanced in the side and went bam into the wall, while SD IV was hit in a rear corner! The final blow was too much, and SD IV stopped moving! When this became apparent, Aaron kindly kept MDU 3.1 away from the already injured SOR 4.0 - maybe he could have a go at finishing it off later!
CEASE!
SD IV and Wheely Big Cheese are eliminated!
MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE AND SOR 4.0 GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!
In the next melee are VFT6 semifinalist Achilles; Firestorm V, who also reached the VFT6 semis and was a quarter finalist in VFT2; Maximum Velocity, the VFT4 bronze medallist; and The Robot That Wasnt There, the VFT3 bronze medallist!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Firestorm V turned to Achilles, who was charging at The Robot That Wasnt There, who was going for Maximum Velocity! The first collision occurred as MV slammed into Achilless side before Achilles could swerve away, and with its low flipper, it managed to get underneath and toss Achilles onto its back! Unfortunately, MV found itself under attack from Firestorm V and TRTWT, both getting under it and overturning it as well! The faster Firestorm V came under MV again as it selfrighted and ran it into the wall, flipping it against it! Firing its flipper again, MV ended up propped on Firestorms rear, and was reversed hard into the north wall, while Firestorm V swivelled around and overturned it again, before giving it a nudge so MVs attempted selfright left it resting against the wall! Meanwhile, Achilles had selfrighted and used its superior speed to get around TRTWT, shoving at the skirts and shoving the whole robot in the process! They eventually found themselves against the south wall, and Achilles gave TRTWT a push into the arena disc, which did little to TRTWTs thick armour, but freed it from Achilless grip and allowed it to ram Achilles into the disc!
After Achilles went skimming, the two crunched together again, Achilles managing to get TRTWT back against the wall and surpass the skirting with a good shove, so it could lift The Robot That Wasnt There off the ground! Another blow by the arena disc was in order, but once that was done with, Firestorm V made an appearance, but Achilles dodged! Unfortunately, it was slowed from carrying TRTWT, so Firestorm was able to reach its sides on another attempt, get under and shove, then flip! Achilles struggled to selfright while still holding TRTWT, so the dome gave it some help by firing its own flippers! They began tipping over, and Firestorm quickly caught them again, but in the process, TRTWT dropped off and was able to swivel under Firestorm then flip it up as it tried to run! Firestorm V was tipped off the floor, allowing Achilles to slide off the wedge, and TRTWT came under again and rammed it into a corner before overturning it again! Meanwhile, Maximum Velocity had used a few flips to flip itself against the wall and slide down right way up, so was able to reenter the battle, and it did so by charging Achilles and TRTWT, who were now fighting! Finding itself coming under Achilles, MV flipped, tossing Achilles towards Firestorm - as Firestorm turned itself over, Achilles bounced off it! TRTWT charged under MV, who ran away from it for a moment, then went for its side and began going for the skirts! Its low flipper eventually brought it underneath, and TRTWT found itself being forcibly inverted, before being slammed against the arena disc again as it was selfrighting!
Meanwhile, as Achilles had bounced off Firestorm V into the corner, Firestorm had run underneath it again! A fire from the flipper rolled Achilles over, and like MV before, its back was to the wall and it propped itself up as it tried to selfright! Firestorm V turned its attention to Maximum Velocity, who had pinned The Robot That Wasnt There against the wall, got under again and was taking it to the pit release! Firestorm failed to catch up before MV reached the pit with its victim and fired the flipper - but TRTWT went too far, hit the wall and bounced onto solid ground! However, MV reacted quickly, running into TRTWT before it could escape, pinning it against the wall again and manouvering it into the pit! But suddenly Firestorm V attacked from behind, and MV had to turn quickly to avoid being pitted, resulting in Firestorm almost driving in itself! As MV reversed, it caught Firestorm V as it tried to escape, sent it teetering on the edge - and toppling in, leaving Maximum Velocity and the still stranded Achilles to go through!
CEASE!
Firestorm V and The Robot That Wasnt There are eliminated!
ACHILLES AND MAXIMUM VELOCITY GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!
Melee 3 features All Stars champ and VFT4 silver medallist Gigavirus; Hypertension Mk2, soon to be in the VFT6 Top 4; Orka Mk3, VFT6 semifinalist; and also soon to be in the VFT6 Top 4, Storm 2!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Gigavirus began spinning up and heading for Orka Mk3, as did Hypertension Mk2 and Storm 2! Orka Mk3 in turn charged Storm 2, trying to turn into it and flip it, but failed, and instead had Storm 2 ramming into its own side! The RW7 runner up had a trip straight to the pit release in mind, but it was suddenly intercepted by Hypertension Mk2, who crashed into it and fired its flipper, sending Orka Mk3 over the top of Storm 2! On its back, Orka Mk3 selfrighted, but was struck by Gigavirus and tipped! Another two hits from Gigavirus sent it back on its back, but the solid tyres survived! Meanwhile, Storm 2 had angrily charged Hypertension head on, got its low wedge under the prongs and charged underneath! Lifting Hypertension with its arm, Storm 2 took it backwards into the pit release, shifted and charged it to and down the pit! From there, Storm 2 went back to Orka Mk3, who was still being pummeled by Gigavirus, although the 6mm titanium was holding up! Seeing Storm 2 coming, Orka Mk3 broke away from its struggle with the All Stars champ and went for it - and in their attempts to turn, the two robots missed each other, Storm 2 almost running into Gigavirus! Gigavirus turned to have a go at Storm 2, who reversed out of the way, but when Orka Mk3 came in that direction, Gigavirus struck a glancing blow and tipped it, allowing Storm 2 to attack and carry Orka Mk3 away and to the pit release! A few seconds later, Orka Mk3 was resting in the pit, just as it had been against Storm 2 in the VFT6 semis!
CEASE!
Hypertension Mk2 and Orka Mk3 are eliminated!
GIGAVIRUS AND STORM 2 GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!
For the final melee, we have Flipping Mad TU, VFT4 and 5 semifinalist; Manic Monsoon, VFT5 bronze medallist and VFT6 semifinalist; SvIV, VFT1 bronze medallist and VFT2 silver medallist; and The Disc 4, the VFT5 Champ!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Flipping Mad TU went for the nearest robot, Manic Monsoon, who exploded towards it, skidded past Flipping Mad as it turned, and managed to get under the side! But Flipping Mad turned on its vacuums, leaving MM struggling to shove or lift it! Meanwhile, SvIV was advancing, followed by The Disc 4! Easily going under Flipping Mads other side, SvIV fired its flipping arm, and the force successfully lifted Flipping Mad TU over! It was now inverted on top of MM, who reversed into the wall with it as it was selfrighting, turned around and used its arm to try and pin Flipping Mad! SvIV came in from behind, getting under MMs unprotected backside and tossing it on top of Flipping Mad - but then The Disc 4 caught up and whacked SvIVs skirting! SvIV tried reversing away from The Disc 4, taking another side blow, while Flipping Mad TU slowly selfrighted, turning MM over with it! With Flipping Mad still on top of it, MM accelerated towards the arena disc, and both robots hit it with a crash as Flipping Mad skimmed off its captor! Meanwhile, SvIV tried coming under The Disc 4, but the flipping arm missed it, and The Disc 4 was able to hit SvIV in the front! Bringing its arm down again, SvIV got better aim and this time flicked The Disc 4 into the air, but not without taking a hit on the arm!
On the other side of the arena, Flipping Mad TU was trying to catch Manic Monsoon, who was running in circles around it. Flipping Mad tried a charge and missed, allowing MM to zip underneath and send it into the arena disc again! Catching Flipping Mad against the arena wall after it skimmed away, MM turned it around and drove across the arena again, into the north wall, where nearby SvIV was trying to pin down The Disc 4, but getting its titanium armour slashed again! In their struggle, The Disc 4 and SvIV ended up against the pit release, opening the pit - deciding it might as well, Manic Monsoon quickly charged Flipping Mad TU to the pit, but Flipping Mad turned its vaccuums on and tried to stick! However, MM slowly lifted it up, almost tipping in itself, and down went Flipping Mad TU! Meanwhile, SvIV managed to flip The Disc 4 over it, taking another glancing strike, and the VFT5 champ tumbled on the floor! SvIV reversed into it, but The Disc 4 twisted around and hit it in the rear! Suddenly, SvIV got a shock as Manic Monsoon rammed it in the side, trying to get under the skirts but failing, although still shoving SvIV into the wall! This allowed The Disc 4 to attack to its hearts content, leaving more unsightly slashes in SvIVs titanium skirts! After several hits while MM continued to pin SvIV, The Disc 4 achieved a penetration of the rear skirt, but it still struggled to reach any innards through the gap!
However, The Disc 4s disc striking within a gap in the skirts knocked SvIV upwards, allowing the straining Manic Monsoon to come underneath it! It made to ram SvIV into a wall, but unfortunately, The Disc 4 came in and hit it on the side, tipping it and freeing SvIV! SvIV turned around as MM was coming back down, slipped under the rear and flipped, sending MM bouncing off the wall and back onto it! Just missing another attack from The Disc 4, SvIV brought MM across the arena and flipped it into the arena disc! MM landed upside down, but ran away from SvIV and kept ahead long enough to selfright with its arm! SvIV attacked, and the two low robots met head on - pushing against each other, they were a good target for The Disc 4, who hit SvIV in the side again! SvIV was shifted by the blow, and MM was able to get to its side and pin it against the wall! The Disc 4 took the oppotunity to aim for the rear, but its less than perfect control meant it hit SvIV in a spot other than the gap already there! Not discouraged, The Disc 4 tried again and hit home, tipping SvIV again and allowing MM access to the underbelly! Not wasting time, Manic Monsoon twisted, just missing The Disc 4s weapon, and ran SvIV to the pit release, almost knocking it off with the violence of the impact! Turning around, it quickly sent SvIV down into the pit to join Flipping Mad TU!
CEASE!
Flipping Mad TU and SvIV are eliminated!
MANIC MONSOON AND THE DISC 4 GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Awsome battles Richard, and nice to see you back.
Achilles vs SOR 4.0
Probably the worst draw I could have got, but never mind. All I can do is just try to cause as much damage to the sides and the lifter as possible. If I can get under and put a few flips in that might help out too. Really, it can outpush me, the armour can probably stand up to the spinner and it€™s skirted so I€™ll have more difficulty getting under.
Well, good luck anyway Alex. :proud:
For the other fights I predict Monsoon, MDU and The Disc to get through. Now back to the workshop to start working on SOR 5.0€¦

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Storm 2s Tactics:
I dont know what to do against MDU 3.1 in 1-on-1 fight, just try and get it in the pit as quickly as possibly and try not to get too completely destroyed, which may be tough if not impossible to do.

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Wasnt GigaVirus the one with the sort of exposed wheels? If it was you can probably guess my tactics:)

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 vs Storm 2
Im just going to keep spinning and actively chase after Storm 2, trying to control the battle with moderate aggression while dodging his attacks with the awesome straifing manuvers :proud: Im going to try to attack the front right corner of Storm 2 as this is the best part of the wedge for MDU 3.1 to attack due to the angle and direction of rotation.
Ill spent a few minutes before the battle with the 9 inch angle grinder sharping up the Hardox teeth to maintain that nice sharp chisel cutting edge for maximum bite into that, taste titanium armour :proud:

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Entering the All Stars quarter finals, we now have a battle of the fast robots - Manic Monsoon and Maximum Velocity!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
With a very fast acceleration, both robots sped towards each other, and the swerve around that followed was almost comical! Manic Monsoon came in and ended up with Maximum Velocity sitting on top of it! Shifting, and raising it, MM rammed MV hard into the wall, sending it tumbling! Before MV could come back down, MM was under it again and propelling it into the arena disc - the force sent Maximum Velocity flying forward over MM! Both robots turned around again, but with less way to turn, Maximum Velocity was able to bring its flipper into Manic Monsoons side! After a brief struggle, the low flipper came under the skirting, and MV was able to flip, with MM coming back down on top of the arena disc! As it flew off, MV caught it again, took it into the empty southwest corner and flipped it against the wall! However, MM bounced off and just managed to accelerate away before Maximum Velocity could go under it again! Turning around, Manic Monsoon charged the advancing MV, swerving again, and managing to ram under the side again! It lifted MV off the ground, and gave it another ride into the arena disc! MV flew off again with another scratch in its armour, and the two robots were left parallel to each other!
When they began turning, Manic Monsoon hit the wall and was slowed, allowing Maximum Velocity to bring the flipper under its rear and toss it onto its back! Being invertable, MM was able to run, then turn itself back over and turn to face MV! This time, both robots met head on, and the more powerful Manic Monsoon shoved Maximum Velocity backwards easily - once they hit the wall, it was able to shove enough to get underneath, and lift MV up again! MV firing its flipper did little to help matters as it was driven across the arena and slammed into the wall so hard it rolled off and landed upside down! With a nice little hop, it turned itself back over - right back onto Manic Monsoon, who was now at the perfect angle to take its victim into the pit release! The impact didnt free Maximum Velocity, who was helpless to stop Manic Monsoon driving it to the pit and let it satisfyingly slide in!
CEASE!
MANIC MONSOON GOES THROUGH!
Now, twice champ Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 and possible VFT7 medallist Storm 2 - whos going to win?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Storm 2 came rocketing towards Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1, who began to rotate almost immediately! As Storm 2 approached, MDU 3.1 performed a quick strafe to get out of the way, but it still caught the right corner of Storm 2s wedge, sending it spinning off course! MDU 3.1 eagerly went for the disorientated Storm 2, who recovered and made to run, but was glanced on the rear and knocked off balance again! MDU 3.1 came in for another attack, but Storm 2 just escaped, and got some distance away before charging - again, MDU strafed, and Storm 2s sudden swerve failed to catch it, but it avoided being hit! The two robots came together again - Storm 2 successfully banged MDU 3.1 against the wall, sending it bouncing off, but it was spun away itself! MDU began to spin again quickly, and strafed as Storm 2 charged, but Storm 2 ran around it and came in again! MDU 3.1 successfully strafed again, and hit Storm 2 on the wedge again, ripping a wedge plate off! The wounded Storm 2 now backed into the pit release, and went full pelt to get MDU 3.1 back against the wall, but another strafe meant Storm 2 missed, almost going into the wall itself!
The two robots ran around each other, trying to gain the advantage, but when the pit closed with nobody in it, Storm 2 broke away to go for the release again, and Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 followed! After pressing the release, Storm 2 reversed and tried to ram MDU against the north wall, but as MDU strafed again, it missed, and was glanced on the side again, sending it reeling into the wall itself with a long wound! Before it could recover, MDU came in aiming for the damaged wedge, striking it and ripping it! Sent spinning away again, Storm 2 tried ramming MDU again, but missed again and almost collided with the wall! Going in quickly, MDU just glanced Storm 2 as it tried to escape - after another spin, Storm 2 just escaped, but now the pit was closed, so it went to open it again! Unfortunately, this left Storm 2 cornered, and easy prey for MDU 3.1 as it attacked the wedge again, ripping another panel of it off and bashing Storm 2 against the wall! Still mobile, Storm 2 wriggled out, turning around and running into MDU 3.1 to try and trap it in the corner itself! It made contact and sent MDU 3.1 against the wall again, and both robots skimmed away! There was a moments pause, then MDU 3.1 began moving again, but Storm 2 was perfectly stationary! With no wedge, damaged panels, and internal injuries from the force, it was immobilised, and counted out!
CEASE!
MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 GOES THROUGH!
Frank and Nick have already had a few tussles with each other, but thisll be the first meeting of Gigavirus and The Disc 4!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
The only movement for a second was the discs of Gigavirus and The Disc 4 as they began to spin, then the two bots moved toward each other. Entering the centre of the arena, they twisted into each other, and Gigavirus made contact first, striking The Disc 4s wheels and tipping it! Due to the forces of its disc, The Disc 4 went into a stylish spin on the arena floor, during which it hit Gigavirus in the side! This impact sent Gigavirus flying back, and steadied The Disc 4 back on the arena floor! Tipped over onto another two wheels, Gigavirus angrily rushed The Disc 4! As they came close, both robots twisted again - and again Gigaviruss flywheel struck The Disc 4s wheels and knocked it! The Disc 4 spun away from Gigavirus before becoming stable again, and Gigavirus was quickly back on the attack! Unfortunately, so was The Disc 4 - as both robots came together, their weapons collided! With a crash, they flew tumbling backwards, The Disc 4 going out of control for a moment, and Gigavirus smashing against the east wall! The Disc 4 spun up again and came at Gigavirus, whose own flywheel was refusing to spin back up - the heavier weapon of The Disc 4 had broken it! Gigavirus wasnt going to win this fight by being a coward, however, so it ran around The Disc 4, who swerved around, following it! Gigavirus came in quickly with its leverage spike, tipping The Disc 4 a little, but it spun around and whacked Gigavirus in the side! Gigavirus was sent against the wall again with a tear in its steel armour, and before it could escape, The Disc 4 was finally able to bring its weapon into a wheel! Gigavirus flew away again, and when it settled, the armour around the wheel was bent, and the wheel useless! As Gigavirus struggled to move around, The Disc 4 deliberately approached and went for the other wheel - despite Gigaviruss best efforts, it succeeded, but when it struck, Gigavirus was tipped over onto its remaining good wheel! It swerved again, so The Disc 4 landed another armour blow - it tipped Gigavirus over again, but its good wheel was still on the floor! But now, there was nothing Gigavirus could do to stop The Disc 4 attacking that last wheel, bending the armour around it and leaving it unable to turn! Gigavirus was completely lifeless now, and was counted out!
CEASE!
THE DISC 4 GOES THROUGH!
Now a grudge match from a VFT7 heat final, where Achilles beat SOR 4.0 - can SOR 4.0 achieve vengeance?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
SOR 4.0 reversed at Achilles with its blade spinning, and as the two robots came togther, they turned to go for each others sides! Achilles came under SOR 4.0 and was just beginning to lift when the blade struck its side, leaving a scar as SOR 4.0 bounced safely away! SOR 4.0 charged again, but unfortunately it missed with the blade and found itself being lifted off the ground by Achilles, until it was caught on the hook! With the VFT1 champ trapped on it, Achilles charged it into the arena disc, which was able to hit the top of SOR 4.0 and scratch the Hardox! However, it also shifted SOR 4.0, so it tumbled off the hook as Achilles turned, and landed upside down! It fired its flipper and selfrighted, but then Achilles came in from behind - and got a faceful of blade, spinning it around! Taking advantage, SOR 4.0 reversed into Achilless side, causing more damage and pinning it against the wall! With its superior power, Achilles was able to escape from SOR 4.0s grasp, but as it turned, SOR 4.0 flicked round and brought its front wedge into its side! Taking Achilles back against the wall, SOR 4.0 was able to shove its way past the low ground clearance, get the flipper underneath, and flick Achilles onto its back! Achilles selfrighted slowly with its hydraulic lifter, but SOR 4.0 wouldnt give it any peace, shoving it into the arena disc - Achilles came away from the impact still on its back, and SOR 4.0 was soon there to get under again before it could selfright, and flip it against the wall!
Achilles remained static against the wall for a few seconds, so SOR 4.0 decided to use its blade on the titanium armour again! The impact took Achilles off the wall, and SOR 4.0 quickly attacked, whacking Achilles with the blade before it could get away! Turning around, Achilles charged and swerved to avoid another blade blow, but was glanced by it, sending it back into the arena disc and bouncing off! SOR 4.0 charged in again and again came into Achilless side - it took a bit of shoving for the low wedge to come under again! A moment later, the flipping arm had put Achilles back on its back, and the blade left another wound in the armour, as did the arena disc when SOR 4.0 gave Achilles yet another shove into it! As Achilles finally got the oppotunity to selfright, SOR 4.0 rammed it in the side again, but this time they werent near the wall, and went round in a circle, until finally SOR 4.0 got under again, and reinverted Achilles! A quick spin allowed the blade to do its work again, sending Achilles spinning away! SOR 4.0 came in again as Achilles raised itself, and the blade hit the hydraulics of the lifter! Achilles was left balancing on one side with its lifter partly up, and leaking hydraulic fluid - the lifter would not work, and it couldnt get back on its wheels! SOR 4.0 left it to be counted out!

Tactics arent needed here, as theres only one thing I can do. Hit it:proud:

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Tactics: Ill assume SOR 4.0 cannot outpush me, so thats to my advantage. However, SOR 4.0 has a weapon that can cause damage, meaning that if it goes to a JD then that will count against me considerably. Therefore my main tactic is to get under the front of SOR 4.0 and using my brute force and ignorance, slam it back first into the arena walls. Hopefully, the impact should cause the spinner to become unreliable and possibly break after a few good slams. If this tactic does not work, then I will plan to use my pushing power to get it into the pit.
Summarise:
Avoid the horizontal disc at the back.
Slam it back first into arena walls.
Push it into the pit using greater traction.

Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 vs The Disc 4
Okay, tactics! Translate to the centre of the arena, spin up to maximum speed, then boosting to over drive, let Frank drive TD4 into me a few times and then gracefully accidentally straife into the pit....
Yay to the Storm 2 VS MDU 3.1 battle! Finally a battle that showed the straifing potential and annoyance when an opponent tries to hit it!

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Aaraon, that plan is completely mad. In the Mutually Assured Destruction sense of the word...

Manic Monsoon vs SOR 4.0
Erm... flip it over a few times and give it some scars with the disc. I dont know how on earth I can win this one so Ill just see what happens.
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 vs The Disc 4

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
An interesting pair of battles making up our All Stars semi finals. First, the battle of the box wedges - Manic Monsoon and SOR 4.0!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Manic Monsoon came towards SOR 4.0 at a quicker rate than vice versa, but SOR 4.0 turned to try and hit the side, so MM went past it and glanced the rear blade! It was knocked off course, but got back on track before SOR 4.0 could attack with its flipper - reversing as SOR 4.0 went for the side, it was able to get under SOR 4.0 instead! With a little bit of twisting, it got SOR 4.0s rear blade facing away from it, and proceeded to run into the wall! The blade impacting the wall sent SOR 4.0 flying, and left a scratch on the wall! Landing on the floor, SOR 4.0 saw MM coming for it again and tried turning away, but still got knocked as it did so! MM skidded around, but ended up getting a faceful of blade! It was knocked off again, but as SOR 4.0 tried to attack again, MM turned and went under the side again! A moment later, SOR 4.0s blade hit the wall at 28mph again - MM reversed after it as it flew away, but it missed SOR 4.0 as it landed! This didnt matter much, as it could just come in front first and get under again! It took some careful manouvering, but it got the blade facing away again, and a third charge into the wall followed!
As SOR 4.0 flew off Manic Monsoon again, and the rammer began another fast approach, SOR 4.0 just managed to twist away from a direct ram, but it still took a little knock! It went to get under the unskirted rear, but MM was too quick, running to a safe distance and coming in again! SOR 4.0 turned to use its blade to knock it off course - MM successfully skidded away from the threat, and again, got its wedge under SOR 4.0 as it turned to bring the blade back into play! The fourth charge into the wall had a similar effect to the others, and now SOR 4.0s battered blade seemed to be running a little slower! As MM reversed after the flying SOR 4.0, it hit it with its rear as it landed - however, this was the perfect oppotunity for SOR 4.0 to move a little and fire its flipping arm! It wasnt a direct flip, so it only tipped MM up, but SOR 4.0 was able to get under, run MM into the wall and flip it again! It took the oppotunity to cause some damage, but the slightly damaged blade didnt do much to the Hardox armour! MM used its lifting arm to get itself off the wall, but it just plopped down onto SOR 4.0s body! With Manic Monsoon as its prisoner again, SOR 4.0 tried to do more damage by flipping it into the arena disc! The disc certainly left a scratch, but it also sent MM skimming to a safe distance, where it could run away from SOR 4.0 and rush back in! Barely avoiding brushing the blade, it brought its wedge under SOR 4.0 again - not wanting to risk being caught again, it rushed its opponent into the pit release! This made SOR 4.0 skim a little again, but not far enough, as it was propped on MMs side! Manic Monsoon caught it on the wedge again, and delivered it to the open pit!
CEASE!
MANIC MONSOON GOES THROUGH TO THE ALL STARS FINAL!
Now the battle of the big deadly spinners that were once champs - Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 and The Disc 4!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 began moving to the arena centre, while The Disc 4 froze for a second to begin spinning, before coming to greet it! The audience watched with anticipation as the two mighty weapons met! The Disc 4 was sent to one side, its right wheel hub striking MDU 3.1 as it went! Meanwhile, the upward force of the disc tipped MDU 3.1, which struck the floor and began bouncing out of control in a Mauler dance! It made its way chaotically towards the arena wall, and bashed against it, making the arena shudder and skimming away, eventually stabilising with its spinner slowed! Meanwhile, The Disc 4s wheel hub had been dented and ripped, and there was a dent in the disc! There was a pause, then both robots began moving, and their weapons working! Spinning at maximum speed, they came together again with a crash! The result was similar, with MDU 3.1 doing another violent Mauler dance until it reached the wall and bounced off! But The Disc 4 was unable to take advantage, for it had been spun headfirst into the west wall and bounced backwards, doing a brief Mauler dance itself! The hit had torn the right wheel hub (probably would have taken it off if it hadnt been attached to a Hardox axle) and bent the metal so the right wheels were propped off the floor! The Disc 4 could still turn on its left wheels, but slowly thanks to the resistance of the right! MDU 3.1 proved still mobile, thanks to its internal reinforcements, and was able to strafe around the weakened Disc 4 to get in a good hit on the left hub, without taking a blow from the disc itself! The Disc 4 went flying and tumbling again, the titanium of its left hub now bent against the wheels, leaving it incapable of doing much at all! MDU 3.1 came in again, and this time The Disc 4 went into the wall again after the hit, making the arena shake again! It shuddered its way away from MDU 3.1 before stabilising, and this time its battered wheel hubs had left its wheels off the floor or compressed against their metal and unable to work! Apart from its still spinning disc, The Disc 4 was immobile, and Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 had proved the more destructive!
CEASE!
MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 GOES THROUGH TO THE ALL STARS FINAL!
All Stars Final:
Manic Monsoon vs Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
eep...
The only thing I can do in this situation is box rush it, and try to do what Forcepower did in PTT4. I highly doubt Ill win this, as MDU is the true All-Star by winning 3 VFT tourns.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
I dont think MDU would do a Mauler dance. Translational spinners cant spin if their wheels are off the floor, so as soon as it was tipped up, it would stop spinning. Other than that (minor) note, good fight:)
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
That wasnt suppose to happen....
Tactic.... spin into the pit and do as much damage to the arena as possible :proud:
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
I dont want to sound stupid, Aaron, but youre not being serious, are you? You are supposed to fight your opponent in this event, unless youre having a go at the House Robots, and I currently dont have any (although that may change in VFT7). My arenas pretty tough, anyway.
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Meh, Im not complaining! :proud:
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Me, being serious, what do you mean :proud:
Real Tactics:
Same tactics as Storm 2. Try to attack any edges of panels, tearing some off hopefully. Keep dodging any attacks directly and keep hitting MM as much as possible. Use the full extent of the drive ratios as much as possible. Lock it down in 500rpm mode when things get tight and open it up to overdrive when I have the chance to do more damage.
Stick Death anyone?

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Surely we have a worthy All Stars Final on our hands - the super powerful Manic Monsoon, and the super destructive Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Manic Monsoon came accelerating straight at Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1, who responded by strafing out of its path, causing MM to almost run into the wall! This was the perfect oppotunity for MDU 3.1 to come back in and whack MM on the rear, spinning it around! MDU 3.1 came after MM, who recovered quickly and ran hard into MDU 3.1 before it could strafe away - but MM still came off worse, getting spun into the wall while MDU 3.1 quickly spun up again and hit it on the curved rear! With MDU 3.1 near the wall again, MM tried to knock it against it, but MDU 3.1 stafed again - however, MM escaped before it could be hit again! MDU 3.1 began moving away from the wall, then performed another strafe when MM rushed back in, but the two still made contact, MM spinning off course again! It reversed towards MDU 3.1 now, and managed to make contact despite the spinner strafing again, but its side Hardox took damage and it did little to MDU 3.1! Dodging MDU 3.1s next assault, MM charged - and completely missed thanks to another strafe! Backing up, it hit MDU 3.1 with its rear again, but the Hardox there was taking a battering!
Spun around by the impact again, Manic Monsoon was able to run into Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 head on before it could strafe away - both robots flew away from the contact, MM taking a scratch again and MDU 3.1 quickly able to spin up! MM manouvered around MDU 3.1, trying to get into a position where it could knock it against the wall, but MDU 3.1 took advantage by moving in to attack, and MM had to dodge! Once it had, however, it charged and caught MDU 3.1 off guard, using its lifting arm to tilt it a little as they met! MDU 3.1s rear hit the floor and it bounced, but quickly stabilised, while MM was left with a unsightly scar in its arm! The two robots moved towards each other at speed again, then MDU 3.1 strafed again, but it still got a knock that hit MM on the side of its wedge! As MDU 3.1 moved in on its victim, MM backed up quickly again, then turned and charged - MDU 3.1 strafed and it missed, but MDU 3.1 certainly didnt miss when it hit MM on the rear again, causing a crack between panels there! MM spun around and almost hit the wall again - MDU 3.1 closed in, but MM recovered quickly enough to move away then back up and try to ram MDU 3.1 against the wall! MDU 3.1 strafed, but MM still made contact - however, the direction of the spin meant MDU 3.1 skimmed away from the wall, and it was MM who was slammed against it, with the gap in its rear panels widened and little shards flying! Turned around the right way, MM charged at MDU 3.1, but ended up getting struck on the side and knocked off course again!
Before Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 could have another go at the damage caused to Manic Monsoons rear, the VFT5 bronze medallist successfully dodged and rammed it head on again, using its arm to try and tip it over! MDU 3.1 was successfully tipped and did some bouncing against the floor again, leaving ugly dents, but MM was spun away again - this time, its arm had been knocked out and couldnt be retracted! Trying to take advantage of MDU 3.1s predicament, it reversed into it with its less damaged rear side, but MDU was still spinning and the rammer was knocked away again! MDU 3.1 quickly got spinning faster as it stabilised and MM hit it head on again, its dead arm taking the blow but not doing much to the twice VFT champ! MDU 3.1 aimed to strike the rear wound again, but MM again outran it, before turning around and charging - and getting painfully deflected again, towards the arena disc! As MDU 3.1 moved in again, Manic Monsoon ran around it, aiming to knock it against the wall or disc - it just missed taking a blow from MDU in the process, had to swerve, and then attack head on! But they were too far from the wall for MDU 3.1 to hit it - instead, MM was flung into it, hard! It was stunned for a moment, allowing MDU 3.1 to rush in, getting in a hit on the wedge edge and mercilessly sending MM back against the wall! Now MDU 3.1 could hit the rear gouge again, widening it even more, but Manic Monsoon was still functioning! Finally not hitting the wall as it flew away, it backed up and came in at full speed, but MDU 3.1 had moved enough so that when they met, it didnt go bang into the wall! Again almost greeting the wall itself, Manic Monsoon successfully dodged MDU 3.1 - as it had another go at getting it into the wall, MDU 3.1 strafed but was still knocked! However, it escaped again, and flung MM against the wall again, and was able to have another go at the rear injury! On this hit, the force knocked out the rear right wheel and damaged the wheel belt, leaving MM less fast and manouverable once it had stopped flying away! As MDU 3.1 closed in for another hit, the clock struck zero and the judges began judging!
CEASE!
Aggression: MDU 3.1 - 6, MM - 4 (MDU was more aggressive)
Damage: MDU 3.1 - 10, MM - 0 (MDU caused all the damage in this fight)
Strategy: MDU 3.1 - 7, MM - 3 (both robots had some strategy - MDU to go for panels, MM to tilt MDU with its arm and run it into walls - but MDU was much more successful)
Control: MDU 3.1 - 6, MM - 4 (MDU was more controlled)
Style: MDU 3.1 - 7, MM - 3 (MDU spinning MM away was more stylish than MMs ramming)
Dominance: MDU 3.1 - 7, MM - 3 (both robots were attacking, but MM came off worse from most hits and was badly damaged at the end)
Final Score: MDU 3.1 - 43, Manic Monsoon - 17
MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 WINS THE VFT6 ALL STARS!
Next time on VFT6, we finally reach the VFT6 Grand Final! Lets remind ourselves what the battles are:
NSBFR-X (10) vs Storm 2
Hypertension Mk2 (24) vs Wedge Devolution (27)
-
Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
I shall be using the spinning bar here, seeing I need to stay invertible. Storm 2 wont be able to breach my skirts seeing the wedge isnt quite 0 MM, and if the bar is spinning, he wont be able to get under the front due to being spun away. Thats assuming the front is facing me though, Ill be going for the sides where the armour is quite a bit weaker. If the bar gets stalled, I have the acceleration to keep away from him while I spin it up again.

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
GRAND FINAL
ELIMINATORS
1) N.S.B.F.R. X (10) Vs Storm 2
This could be very close indeed, but I think Franky could scrape a JD on Damage
2) Hypertension Mk 2 (24) VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION (27)
Oh great. You again. :lame:
To be honest, theres not much of a plan here. The main aim is to keep to the sides (hopefully possible with my greater control), scrape the spatula under those skirts and simply ram it into the Pit or any possible obstacle I can find!
Ill only flip if Im in an ideal position to do so, due to my limited CO2. Hypertension can trundle along inverted if it runs out, but not me. Use only for self-righting or an offensive toss if Im in the right place at the right time.
See you in the Play-Off. :proud:

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Storm 2s Tactics:
Keep attacking using my front, and avoiding the spinner. When I get under it, keep pushing it around, and then pit it when I first get that chance, I should be able to get the chance to pit it here.

MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 WINS THE VFT6 ALL STARS!
Holy shyte! I didnt even realise that battle was a final for a title..... I really need to start keeping up with tournies Ive entered in!
But HOORAAHHH! The Walking Super Spinner come Translational Super Spinner has finally won a title after 3 revisions!
God damn I feel like a dumbass for not realising that battle was a final :proud:

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Well... I have a feeling that this could already be fixed to give Steve his much wanted VFT title:P Not that Im complaining if it is, but its still a bit of a bummer even if he does deserve it...
OK, tactics...
Stay in the centre of the arena, both machines will struggle to get underneath the other, so it should be a battle of traction, where I think i have the advantage. The only reason I will go to the edge is if Im pushed there or if I get ihm over and wnat to release the pits. Flipping wise, Im not worried about running out of gas, so I shall just keep tossing him over. If I cant get him near the pit, then I will jsut keep flipping him until he eihter breaks or until he is in a posiiton to be pushed into the pit. If we go over, we shall charge at them with the back facing and fire our flipper as we approach to land on top of them and act almost as a full body hammer. We can stand up to them so itll be interesting to see if he can.`
Good luck Steve but I dont think yuoll be needing it.

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
I assure you, Matty, this is not fixed. I write the fights by ear and see where they go. Thats not to say Steven wont win, but then again, he might have to wait till VFT7.

Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!
Welcome to VFT6! This tournament has been almost ashamedly long - its been over a year since I first started taking entries! Admittedly, I put it on hold for a few months to revise for exams, but if theres a VFT7 when Im at uni (so far, it looks like there very well could be), Ill try to do it a bit quicker. But anyway, weve finally reached the Grand Final, and a new VFT champion is just around the corner! But as tradition goes, before we get on with it, lets relive the Road to Armageddon! In Heat A, first seed The Disc 4 used its weapon to whack Infusion into the pit, after Biohazard had sent Panic 3 GTI 2 the same way, while 17th seed Psyclone pulverised Pulveriser and Squish clawed and pitted Voltronic!
Squish then almost pitted The Disc 4, but the VFT5 champ escaped and sent Squish in instead, while Psyclone just went smash, smash, smash against Biohazard and eventually knocked it out!
The spinners of The Disc 4 and Psyclone met in the heat final - in the frequent collisions, Psyclone did more damage and The Disc 4 was sent skimming around, so the 36-24 decision went in the underdog Psyclones favour, and the champ would not defend its title!
In Heat B, third seed Manic Monsoon got its arm taken out by Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint, who proceeded to immobilise Slammer IV after the latter had pitted Cholera, and 19th seed Whirligig 4.0 badly battered Battle Rat, as Growling Storm 2.5 avoided going down the pit itself to pit National Speed Limit Applies, then sent Battle Rat the same way!
Manic Monsoon proved just that in Round 2 when it rammed Growling Storm 2.5 here, there, everywhere and down the pit, while Whirligig 4.0 was too low for Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoints blade, and repeated hits left PRP immobilised!
In the heat final, some hard impacts against Whirligig 4.0 left Manic Monsoon getting spun all over the place, until Manic Monsoon slowed Whirligig down enough to get under and escort it to the pit!
In Heat C, fifth seed Tempest Evil-er-ution quickly painfully polished off Bender, and had help from the axing of Hacked Off Ha-ka to fatally damage MOE, while 21st seed Warhead dished out the damage with its dome, but it was Not Another Pushover 2 who eliminated 2Blue and Iron Awe 3 by pitting them!
Not Another Pushover 2 couldnt pit Tempest Evil-er-ution and was well battered, but was aggressive enough to make it a close 33-27 decision that saw Tempest go through, while Warhead and Hacked Off Ha-ka used their weaponry mercilessly to slash and pin each other, until Ha-ka got a good axe pin on Warhead and dropped it in the pit!
The heat final was a violent affair with Tempest Evil-er-ution causing more damage to Hacked Off Ha-ka, who in turn tried bouncing it against the wall and axing it! It went to the judges, who made it a 30-30 draw, but the audience voted Tempest Evil-er-ution to enter the semis!
In Heat D, seventh seed Windiest Killer Just Got Windier joined Cuffy and Orka Mk3 in teaming up on Pink Panther, pressuring it and pitting it, before Orka Mk3 took advantage of Cuffys close proximity to the pit and sent it the same way, and 23rd seed Disco 5 disabled Bulldog Breeds flipper and flipped it on its head, then it and Starstorm 2 eliminated Killer B on a 29-17-14 decision by causing more damage and style!
WKJGW failed to escape a few flips from Starstorm 2, but spent much of the fight shoving its opponent around before pitting it, while Disco 5 and Orka Mk3 had a very even struggle until Orka Mk3 flipped Disco 5, and Disco 5s selfright allowed Orka Mk3 to catch it on the scoop and send it to the pit!
In the heat final came a surprise result, when Windiest Killer Just Got Windier battered Orka Mk3 to start off with, but then Orka Mk3 took over, flipping WKJGW and inverting its wedge, then catching it in the side and pitting it, to become the first unseeded semifinalist in VFT6!
In Heat E, ninth seed SOR 4.0 quickly stopped Rippoff Yet Agains spinning using the wall and pitted it, and after some struggling, Juggerbee 3.0 sent Back On The Chain Gang the same way, while 25th seed Achilles lifted and overturned the srimechless Hefty Kick In The Balls, and used the arena disc and damage caused by Surgeon General to incapacitate Chip!
SOR 4.0 took some scratches from Surgeon General but used its own disc to eliminate SGs wheels and leave it unable to move, while Achilless skirts prevented Juggerbee 3.0 from getting under, and once the 25th seed had hold of the faster robot, it dropped it in the pit!
In the heat final, Achilles dominated SOR 4.0, lifting it and using the arena disc against it, before finishing the fight with a pitting - the former champ had missed out again, but theres always VFT7!
In Heat F, 11th seed Flipping Mad TU was almost pitted by Tsunami 2, but after Wedga Revo flipped the real robot against the wall, Flipping Mad TU got revenge by using the pit itself - however, it still lost the 21-20-19 JD to Wedga Revo and Stinger for not being dominant or damaging enough! 27th seed Wedge Devolution quickly got rid of Happy Birthday Party Pooper by flipping it around to slow its spinner and pitting it, then sent Blizzard soaring into the pit, sending Wedge and Glasgow Kiss through!
Wedge Devolution and Wedga Revo were evenly matched, but being a little faster, Wedge Devo got in more flips and arena disc attacks before flipping Wedga Revo pitwards, while Glasgow Kiss quickly eliminated Stinger using the pit as well, pinning the axlebot with its axe!
The two Scottish bots met in the heat final, where Glasgow Kisss attempts to grapple Wedge Devolution were thwarted by the flipper - a few flips and arena disc strikes later, Glasgow Kiss had been pushed into the pit, with Wedge Devo accidentally following it in a second later, but still going through!
In Heat G, 13th seed Scottishly Fictional put on a good shoving show but was eventually pitted by Baldur, who did the same to Srimech Not Included and went through with Overkill, while 29th seed Wheely Pure Evil 2 participated in one of VFT6s most violent melees with Deep Impact 2, Revenge of the Revenge of the Bludgeonator and Seggy the Third! All four robots survived to the end, but the badly damaged Deep Impact 2 and Wheely Pure Evil 2 were eliminated by the 17-16-16-11 decision, letting ROTROTB and Seggy go through!
Seggy The Third used its lifting arm effectively against Baldur, first plonking it against the wall which blocked its selfrighting, then escorting it to the pit, while ROTROTBs hammer was equally effective against Overkill, missing a few times but striking enough to incapacitate the American bot!
In the heat final, ROTROTBs hammer did damage to Seggy the Third, but it wasnt enough, as Seggy shoved ROTROTB around and eventually put it down the pit!
In Heat H, 15th seed The Crashing Bore used its guillotine to fatally cut up Constrictor, while Storm 2 quickly pitted In-terror-fied, while 31st seed Razer failed to hold on to Tough As Nails, who pitted Mortis but was then attacked by Razer, and both robots were pitted by Dantomkia! When the match was restarted, Tough As Nails successfully pitted Razer, and it and Dantomkia were through!
The Crashing Bore and Tough As Nails had some push-and-shove moments in the arena together, but The Bore also used its guillotine to smash TANs wheels and immobilise it, while Dantomkia was almost immediately pitted by Storm 2!
The Crashing Bore and Storm 2 met again in the heat final, where The Bore guillotined and drilled Storm 2, who responded by shoving it around - eventually, Storm 2 was the winner when it sent The Crashing Bore into the pit!
In Heat I, 16th seed Push-Ish used its drum to scrape Dallas while The Ultimate Wedge pitted Nightmare - Push-Ish immediately sent Dallas the same way, with Dallas being bounced up by Nightmares disc before falling! 32nd seed Leprosy Infection, Disco Dancer 2.5 and Tengu VI all pinned Dominator 2 against the wall and caused enough damage to immobilise it, then tried to tear apart each other - it went to the judges, and Leprosy Infection lost out in the 21-21-18 decision!
Push-Ishs clash with Tengu VI consisted of Push-Ish trying to ram and Tengu VI on the attack and defence, causing damage - but Push-Ish was more aggressive and able to pin Tengu a couple of times, so it won the 31-29 decision, while The Ultimate Wedge quickly eliminated Disco Dancer 2.5 by mercilessly ramming and flipping it, resisting its clamping attempts, and eventually running it down the pit!
The two pushers Push-Ish and The Ultimate Wedge came together in the heat final, where The Ultimate Wedge proved faster and more powerful, and after giving Push-Ish rather painful tours of the arena walls, it pitted it!
In Heat J, 14th seed Angel Of The Abyss found Ankle Biter The Second, BADer and Flippa Frenzay Mk6 aiming to ram each other into it - eventually, Ankle Biter immobilised Flippa Frenzay, and took out BADer as well, while 30th seed Chaos 2, after pitting Vlad The Impaler 2, was taken out by the spinner of Megabyte and the forceful nitrogen flips of Stratosfear!
Angel Of The Abyss found itself heading heavenward when Stratosfear got close enough to it - after another flip, its spinner was stopped and Stratosfear was able to pit it, while Ankle Biter The Second proved too strong for Megabyte, as the drum whacked the spinner and underbelly and quickly immobilised it!
In the heat final, Ankle Biter The Second caused some damage to Stratosfears wheels, but was also repeatedly flung into the air, eventually so many times that the shock of the impacts killed it, and Stratosfear was in the semis!
In Heat K, 12th seed Annoying Box Rush was frustrated by the bouncing Flea 2.0 and battled with Firestorm V, who pitted Mr Nasty and then sent ABR down the pit as well, while 28th seed Forcepower Turbo showed its opponents why its called that, pitting The Raven and then El Persistance, but not before Disconstructor left some scarring on them!
Flea 2.0 used its jumping ability to great effect as Forcepower Turbo tried to ram it about, but eventually landed too close to the pit and was able to be shoved in, while Firestorm V used the arena disc to damage Disconstructor, taking some damage itself, before getting bored and pitting it!
Forcepower Turbo and Firestorm V proved evenly matched in the heat final - on one hand, Forcepower did some more impressive shoving, and on the other, Firestorm flipped Forcepower a few times and left it inverted and less effective, as well as pinned against the wall! In the end, Firestorm V won out by leaving Forcepower Turbo in the pit!
In Heat L, tenth seed NSBFR-X combined with Roo 2 to rip apart Hassocks Hog 2, before both robots pressured Forklifts Revenge enough to beat it on a 23-21-16 decision, while 26th seed Black Chalkie Beard broke the arena wall when the clusterbot twins shoved Gyrate into it - Gyrate flew into Insecticide and Sonic Boom, immobilising Insecticide and itself!
NSBFR-X had trouble catching the fast Sonic Boom, but when it did, it grappled it with a latch, introduced it to the arena disc then pitted it, while Black Chalkie Beard bounced Roo 2 against the wall to slow it down, then were able to shove it into the pit as well!
In the heat final, NSBFR-X quickly pitted Beard and spent the rest of the fight tussling rather boringly with Black, pinning it, using its spinning bar and ramming it around, and winning the 40-20 judges decision!
In Heat M, eighth seed Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 made an appropriately destructive return to VFT by ripping into Dieceratops Invertus and Infernal Contraption - Dieceratops was rendered extinct, while No Close Shave 2 pitted IC! 24th seed Hypertension Mk2 teamed up with Geforce, and their combined flips on Tazbot and TIRTASM knocked both their opponents out as they hit the floor too hard, too many times!
Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 got flipped a few times by Geforce, but damaged the flipper in the process until it was ineffective, and caused enough armour damage to wipe the life from Geforce, while Hypertension Mk2 played with No Close Shave 2, flipping it against the arena walls before a final flip into the pit!
The heat final brought a surprise result as Hypertension Mk2 aggressively rammed and flipped Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1, taking a battering in the process, but with a combination of a flip and a wall impact, slowed MDU 3.1 down and rammed it into the pit - a third VFT title for MDU 3.1 was not on the cards for now!
In Heat N, sixth seed SD IV did some of its usual slicing wheels with its low saw, as Aces & Eights used the arena disc to immobilise Supernova, and was then pitted itself by Scimiter, while 22nd seed Dervish V/ caused damage to all three of its opponents, as well as being able to stack them against the wall, until Mega Masher 2 pitted Total B*****d and then Wind Chiller!
Another of VFT6s shocks came about next as Mega Masher 2 proved fast enough to evade SD IVs saw and shove it into the pit, while Dervish V/ repeatedly rolled Scimiter over to slash into its underbelly and eventually leave it for dead!
In the heat final, Mega Masher 2 wasnt so capable of ramming when Dervish V/ kept whacking it with its spinner and flipping it, eventually causing enough damage to eliminate Mega Masher 2 from the fight and go through to the semi finals!
In Heat O, fourth seed Killotine Evo got itself pummeled by Terrorhurtz while Mother Of All Bricks 2 pitted Wrecktangle - when MOAB2 intervened, Killotine Evo used its own axe on Terrorhurtz, and dragged it to the pit! 20th seed Typhoon 2 and Ringmaster first used their powerful spinning to immobilise Ymir, then both parts of the clusterbot Well Buy You A New One Tomorrow Mrs Brown!
Killotine Evo took some hits from Ringmaster well, before slowing it down with its ramming, grappling it with the axe and pitting it, while Typhoon 2 wasnt able to cause much damage to the tough Mother Of All Bricks 2, who rammed it repeatedly and then tipped Typhoon 2 over with its skirt, leaving it helpless!
The heat final was a brief affair where Mother Of All Bricks 2 was grappled by Killotine Evos axe but proved too strong to drag, then rammed Killotine Evo in the side and showed it how a proper pitting is done!
In Heat P, second seed WX 6.0 used its scoop to run Little Sister into the pit, but not before Little Sister had flipped X Terminator, allowing WX 6.0 and VGer to qualify, and 18th seed Heir To Black Panther IV pitted Star 69 after Wedgie 5 had stopped its spinning with a flip - however, Wedgie 5 did not survive the 26-20-14 decision when The Doomsday Project continuously gave it a whacking with its disc, and went through with HTBP4!
WX 6.0 used its Hardox scoop to ram The Doomsday Projects flywheel and stall it enough to push it into the pit, while Heir To Black Panther IV used a hit and run strategy on VGer, axing, lifting and ramming it enough to win the 38-22 judges decision!
In the last heat final, WX 6.0 took some lifting and nasty axing from Heir To Black Panther IV, but also used its manouverability to ram HTBP4 in the side and give it a fatal shove to the pit, filling the last place in the VFT6 semi finals!
Moving into Semi Final 1, where a grudge match between Manic Monsoon and Achilles ended in Achilles getting rammed about and deposited in the pit, Wedge Devolution got bashed by Tempest Evil-er-ution but was able to flip it and pit it, Psyclone beat Seggy The Third on a 40-20 decision after causing much more damage, and Storm 2 rammed Orka Mk3 into the pit in a rather brief battle!
Manic Monsoon and Storm 2 then met in the arena, where they got some good rams in on each other, until Storm 2 got under Manic Monsoons rear, lifted it up and plonked it in the pit! Psyclone did a good job spinning Wedge Devolution around, but fell foul of the flipper a few times, until Wedge Devolution could get it in the pit and itself into the final four!
And in Semi Final 2, WX 6.0 and The Ultimate Wedge met in a battle filled with collisions and pins, until the more controlled WX 6.0 pitted The Ultimate Wedge, NSBFR-X avoided Stratosfears flipper and caused bad damage to its wheels before pitting it, Hypertension Mk2 got in good rams and flips towards Dervish V/ despite taking damage, and eventually shoved it in the pit as well, while Firestorm V could do nothing to Mother Of All Bricks 2, who rammed it into the walls, and eventually the pit!
NSBFR-X used its pincers against WX 6.0, successfully clamping it, using the arena disc to damage it and the pit to eliminate it! In the final semi battle, despite some successful ramming, Mother Of All Bricks 2 was flipped from under its drill by Hypertension Mk2, who eventually flipped it into the pit, and completed the grand final lineup with itself!
So our four finalists:
*Entered by Frank Goacher, NSBFR-X!
*Entered by Matty Fowler, HYPERTENSION MK2!
*Entered by Steven McGregor, WEDGE DEVOLUTION!
*Entered by Matt MacDonald, STORM 2!
And lets also mention the winners of our special events:
*The Annihilator was won by PSYCLONE - entered by AJ, it beat The Disc 4 and Wrecktangle in its Mayhem, then went into the Annihilator and outlasted Dieceratops Invertus, Geforce, Forklifts Revenge, Whirligig 4.0 and Push-Ish!
*The Football was won by Frank Goachers team, X & I - these specially designed footballers beat 4 Wheel Steering & Seggy the Third 4-1, WX 6.0 & Forcepower Turbo 6-1 and Dervish V/ & Revenge Of The Revenge Of The Bludgeonator 4-3!
*The first Challenge Belt is being held by NATIONAL SPEED LIMIT APPLIES - going out in Round 1 of VFT6 did not hinder Dave Sheppard when it came to beating Powerpoint Reaches Pressurepoint, Ankle Biter The Second and NSBFR-X! The second Challenge Belt is held by WEDGA REVO, who beat NSA in the final CB battle, and will hold onto its prize till next time!
*The All Stars was won by MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3.1 - despite losing in its VFT6 heat final, the VFT3 and VFT4 champ owned by Aaron Knight proved it is still formidable when it pummeled SD IV and Wheely Big Cheese in its opening melee, then smashed its way through Storm 2, The Disc 4 and Manic Monsoon!
And now, lets return to the present and begin the Grand Final eliminators! First, will NSBFR-X or Storm 2 be eliminated?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
NSBFR-X and Storm 2 both rushed to the arena centre, where Storm 2 skidded to reach NSBFR-Xs side, causing NSBFR-X to miss it with the spinning bar as it turned! When the two robots made contact, they were parallel to each other, and struggled together in a circle, until the superior speed and manouverability of Storm 2 allowed it to turn its front into NSBFR-X and give it a nice shove, propelling it on a curved path, into the southwest corner! Storm 2 proceeded to pin the 10th seed there, struggling to get past the skirting but not quite managing it! Eventually, after a bit of slow manouvering, NSBFR-X managed to break free and turn! Storm 2 reversed to escape, but still recieved a blow from the spinning bar on the wedge, spinning it to one side and exposing that side to NSBFR-X, who slashed it with the bar! It went to strike a third hit, but Storm 2 swerved out of the way and became parallel to NSBFR-X again! They turned for a moment, then NSBFR-X suddenly broke away to try and hit, but it missed! However, as Storm 2 came round to try and get at the side again, NSBFR-X was able to hit it in the front wedge again, then glance it on the rear as it got away!
Moving to a safe distance, Storm 2 came streaming back to NSBFR-X, swerving again to avoid the spinner, and successfully running around the 10th seed and ramming it in the side - a ram which took NSBFR-X into the east wall with a bang! Unable to get it into the pit from there, Storm 2 made another failed attempt to surpass the skirts before backing off. This proved a bad move, as NSBFR-X ran, then turned to greet the advancing Storm 2, and managed to catch it along the side with the bar and knock it off course! But Storm 2 managed to escape as NSBFR-X was turning to hit it again, turned around - and got glanced by the bar on its rear as it came in, taking another glance before it could escape the 10th seed! On the next attack, Storm 2 successfully escaped NSBFR-Xs bar and the two robots were parallel again, before both of them shifted. Storm 2 ended up facing NSBFR-Xs rear, and attacked from behind, causing NSBFR-X to go face first into the west wall and bounce off thanks to its blade! It tried accelerating away, but Storm 2 caught up and rammed it in the side again, taking it back into the east wall and dangerously close to the pit release! Another pin ensued, but when Storm 2 again failed to get under, it did a reverse swerve and hit the release! NSBFR-X went to distance itself from the pit, with Storm 2 in hot pursuit! Eventually it caught up again, catching NSBFR-Xs side as it tried to turn away from it, and went for a pit shove! They came closer...and missed, hitting the wall! Storm 2 twisted away to try and get the right angle, but ended up getting a faceful of spinning bar! NSBFR-X proceeded to hit Storm 2 in the side with the bar, trying to knock it towards the pit, but it failed to do so before the pit closed.
Storm 2 ended up being thrust against the wall, taking another glancing blow to its now very scratched armour before it could get away! NSBFR-X came in head first, so Storm 2 came towards it and turned - turning quicker than NSBFR-X, it reached the side and shoved once again, until they hit the east wall once again! Storm 2 swerved off again, and as NSBFR-X turned to catch it, it exposed its side and recieved another hard ram, which took them back into the west wall, but still not hard enough for Storm 2 to get underneath! Storm 2 backed off again, and attacked again, but NSBFR-X reversed so it went bang into the wall! This was the perfect oppotunity for NSBFR-X to deepen the wounds in Storm 2s side and send it skimming off, but Storm 2 recovered before it could hit again, and ran around NSBFR-X until it could reach the side again! As they went into the wall again, NSBFR-Xs bar hit the wall and it bounced off! The two robots ran around each other again for a brief moment, but again Storm 2 reached NSBFR-Xs side, and pushed it close to the pit release again! It swerved backwards to hit the release, and as NSBFR-X ran again, it caught up and got into the side once again, then shoved again! When they reached the north wall, close to the pit, the bar again made contact with the wall and both robots flew a short distance back from it! But it wasnt enough for NSBFR-X to make its getaway, as Storm 2 hit it in the side when it tried to reverse away! They came close to the pit, and NSBFR-Xs bar hit the wall again! It skimmed back, past the edge of the pit, and immediately Storm 2 charged and sent it all the way down!
CEASE!
STORM 2 GOES THROUGH TO THE GRAND FINAL!
Who else will be in the VFT6 Final - Hypertension Mk2 or Wedge Devolution? These two have met before in Round 2 of VFT5, where Hypertension was the victor, but who will come out of this grudge match alive?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Again, both robots crunched together in the arena centre, turning to aim for each others sides! They turned in a circle just as NSBFR-X and Storm 2 had, until Hypertension Mk2 began winning, turning its prongs into Wedge Devolution and shoving against the skirts, but the prongs wouldnt go under them! With a push, Hypertension began shoving Wedge Devo towards the arena wall, but then backed off and returned to the centre! Wedge Devo came back to meet it, and found Hypertension charging and running around it, successfully reaching the side again and giving it a bump! Hypertension again failed to surpass the skirting, and shoved Wedge Devolution along in the process before going back to its strategic position in the centre! The 27th seed attacked again after its shove, and again Hypertension Mk2 began running in a circle around it! As the 24th seed approached, Wedge Devolution tried shifting with it - when Hypertension charged, Wedge reversed and Hypertension almost ran onto the flipper! It quickly shifted backwards, but Wedge ran at it, into and under the prongs and getting underneath! With Hypertension Mk2 on its wedge, Wedge rammed it towards the arena disc without flipping!
Hypertension Mk2 skimmed away from the impact of the disc, tumbling on the floor and almost landing upside down! Wedge Devolution ran underneath it before it came back down and charged it back into the arena disc, causing Hypertension to knock it backwards as it flew away again! Wedge turned as Hypertension landed behind it, and as the 24th seed charged, the two robots were parallel again! As they turned, Wedge Devo ended up against the wall, and Hypertension Mk2 shoved the prongs against it, but they still wouldnt go under the skirts! Eventually, Hypertension backed off again, returning to the centre, and Wedge Devolution followed! The two robots swerved to get under each other again, and when it became clear that Hypertension would win out again, Wedge swerved away and Hypertension ran onto the spatula! Wedge came forward as Hypertension drove off it - Wedge Devo quickly turned under Hypertension Mk2s side before it got moving again and shoved the spatula past its skirting, getting under again! With the 24th seed in its grasp again, the 27th seed now shot towards the pit release with it, turned around and ran it down the open pit, getting revenge for its VFT5 defeat!
