A riveting start we have, for T-Minus blazes across the arena and slams into the corkscrewy robot, and launches it sky-high with an amazing flip! Blizzard comes down hard, but proves that it's quite fine by roughly shoving T-Minus across the arena with its drills! T-Minus tries to escape the push, but the torque and traction of Alex Holt's barbaric creation is unparalleled, and soon T-Minus finds itself against the wall and in no position to flip Blizzard! Quickly, the bizarre drill weaponry of Blizzard coming into play! Thankfully, T-Minus' front armour easily withstands the assault and moments later the Inertia Labs machine is able to squeeze away and approach the side of Blizzard again! Blizzard tries to move away, but gets another hefty flip as it does so! Blizzard lands with its rear facing T-Minus, but as T-Minus rushes at it again with flipping determination ablaze, it strafes aside almost like nothing! Martijn wasn't expecting that and stops fully, but T-Minus is able to reorient itself as Blizzard gets the drills in again, and this time manages to angle itself in for another flip, tossing Blizzard end over end! All this action is driving them towards Sophitia's CPZ, and moments later the Greek Goddess (of War! :proud: ) manages to get some action at last as T-Minus heaves Blizzard across and on top of her. Sophitia gets a clean launch and T-Minus is flabbergasted as Blizzard absolutely sails straight over him and lands with a nasty crunch several feet behind! :proud: T-Minus whirls about in a metallic blur, but Blizzard must be made of sterner stuff than the bookies thought because the drills slam into T-Minus again and push it towards the giddy house robot! T-Minus manages to make a reverse turn out of it and Blizzard drives straight into Sophitia and her feared flipper! T-Minus approaches from the side and gets a toss in, just as Sophitia mistimes a flip and throws herself over! :proud: It seems the angled rear didn't exactly help matters! Regardless, T-Minus leaves her alone and pursues the retreating Blizzard, but the devilishly cunning screwbot strafes aside again, and bumps into the launchbot as he drives by! Side-by-side, T-Minus tries to turn and flip, but Blizzard also tries to turn and so we have both robots driving straight into the wall! But before he does, Alex halts Blizzard's progress and the far nippier T-Minus crashes its massive snout straight into it! Blizzard sees a golden opportunity and backs all the way across the arena...Martijn struggles to pull T-Minus off the wall and The Watcher, our friendly neighbourhood refbot, is looking a little concerned! Just as T-Minus activates the flipper in desperation, and throws itself onto its back, free, Blizzard bulldozes in and drives into the inverted front of the launchbot, slamming it hard into the wall in a rough display not unlike a cross-check in hockey! :proud: There's no way in hell that Martijn will try and self-right from that position though - the famed 540 self-right of T-Minus will see it jump the fence! But it cannot wiggle free from Blizzard's monstrous grip and has to settle for being drilled by the extreme traction action of the screws propelling the front prongs! Eventually The Watcher has his say, and Blizzard is shunted aside, its fun ruined, as T-Minus, with two holes in its front armour, speeds away!
Blizzard dodges around the refbot and keeps in close quarters, but not well enough! A quick spin from T-Minus has it at Blizzard's sides, and Alex tries to strafe sideways away, T-Minus keeps at the side and eventually drives it into Shunt's CPZ and flips it! Shunt receives the full 68kg of the screwbot into his scoop and slams the axe down! Unfortunately the axe blow glances off, but held down it manages to hold Blizzard in there. Shunt turns around and pins Blizzard into the CPZ, and retracting the axe manages to dint Blizzard's middle body several times with that diamond-edged axe! Eventually there's a small hole put into that section, but as Shunt releases him at last, there's little evidence that the damage is anything but superficial! T-Minus, however, intends to make the pain prolonged, and getting in another toss slams Blizzard into the wall nearby! As they approach a nearby Disc of Death, Blizzard suddenly gains the upper hand, finding the side of T-Minus and pinning it! T-Minus wiggles and fires the flipper, but can't free itself, and Blizzard slowly but surely makes the most of this moment by riding the wall and getting T-Minus into that dreaded hazard...of Death!
CRASH!!!
And oh yes, T-Minus is high enough to be hit by that! Sent a'twirling, T-Minus is shot across the arena like a pinball, coming to rest near the floor flipper, with a nasty, nasty gash in the top corner! Martijn tries to reign T-Minus' driving back to full strength, but 'full strength' doesn't seem like an option anymore because the Inertia Labs machine is quite slow now! Unable to withstand a sudden Blizzard ram, it is pushed back towards the arena spikes, and T-Minus tries to get off of it but is poked anyway and sent...flying, actually! The pointy piston explodes terminally, propelling T-Minus off the floor and about a few feet into the air! :proud: It lands right side up, thankfully, but its drivetrain problems are still clear to the audience! And they are much clearer to the two drivers, and Alex takes full advantage by roughly shunting T-Minus backwards and into Sophitia's CPZ again...and the Grecian responds by giving T-Minus a taste of its own medicine, rocketing the launchbot across the arena to land near the pit! Blizzard senses that the end is nigh, and goes to open the pit, but T-Minus is reluctant to meet a dark and gloomy end and drives away from the pit...unfortunately, his mobility is hindered enough so that he doesn't even get 2 feet away before Blizzard spears the pit release button and nearly drags it from the wall! :proud: As Martijn frantically tries to get T-Minus working at capacity again, Blizzard crashes in and sends it straight back into Sophie's CPZ! This time Sophitia gets T-Minus fully onto the wedge and tosses it...at near terminal velocity! T-Minus 1 second and counting...? BAM! The second it takes for T-Minus to land from its utmost height is like Marti's heart dropping as it lands onto its back and bounces, again near the pit! There's no surviving the inevitable, and a well-fought fight finally ends in victory in Blizzard as it makes one last drawn-out push towards the big hole and T-Minus at long last tumbles in!
CEASE!
A rocketing display for sure, but it's T-Minus who takes off into the great blue yonder! :proud:

Getting around that disc is the key to victory it seems, for Christopher Mason and Team Dinowarrior, but as he tries to make that happen, Dantu's turning circle and swift speed denies him an early shot at this! And you shouldn't have let the disc get up to speed, Mr. Mason! Dantu charges in, cutting off a turn from the Mason machine...but Orka goes straight by, Dantu missing by an inch! Orka wheels around, but his 6 wheel drive is hindering the turning a bit, and Dantu spins about...but he too has a problem as he turns quite sharply, going too far! So what happens is that the two robots end up facing each other...after 3 seconds have gone by! Tricky to control, eh? ;) Knowing nothing else for it, Orka simply has to charge head-on...that's just fine for Alex, for Dantu speeds towards him as well and we have our first big collision of the fight!
CRASH!!!
But due to the massive size of Orka RV, the hit merely pushes him back a few feet! It has however given Dantu a wide berth to spin his disc back up again, but Orka drives in quickly, the slightly scratched flipper sliding under Dantu and tossing it over! There'll be no flipping action from you, my disc-ed friend! :proud: For now, that is. Let's see if Dantu can get right-side-up again later! Alex drives Dantu away, trying to spin the disc up to a dangerous speed again, but Orka is too quick and catches him from the rear, rear-ending the axlebot and forcing Dantu's half-spun disc into the arena floor, bouncing Dantu up wholly onto the wedge and stopping the disc entirely! Brimming with confidence, Chris drives towards Renegade's CPZ and dumps Dantu into the waiting house robot's claws! Immediately, the claws tighten and Dantu faces the exact same predicament as in last fight! Not only that, but now Renegade's axe comes down and batters the chassis! The shape of the axe is perfect for dinting that thick Hardox and there is a noticeable chop in one of the bars as Renegade finally releases Dantu from its grasp, but Orka is right there to collect Dantu and throw it right back on top of Renegade! Momentarily surprised, the axe fires on Renegade and...poink! It nudges the base of Dantu, nothing more...who simply drives off the back! But Orka is right there AGAIN! A shove later and Dantu finds itself right back in peril as the Renegade's claws close and the axe comes back down! Orka just waits nearby as Dantu sustains another great chop in one of the supports in the framework! It grows deeper and deeper and Dantu is finally...sent back onto Orka's wedge! How very systematic! And a great toss later and Dantu is flung far into the CPZ! Behind Renegade, even! Orka realizes its mistake and moves to one side of the edge of the CPZ, but as Renegade turns around, Dantu shoots out from the other side, and is away! Alex is not happy about having been a house robot chew toy for over a minute, and is determined to get back into the fight! Dantu races about to the middle of the arena, and as Orka chases it down, it makes a sudden deke to the side and plants the vertical disc firmly in the titanium side of Orka RV!
CRASH!!!
Orka tumbles onto its back, sustaining nasty scratches and tears in that side, and the time it takes to self-right is all Dantu needs to rev its vertical flywheel, disc, etc., up to full speed! But Alex underestimates just how fast Orka RV can drive and as it closes in, Orka moves off, and a quick manoeuvre sees Orka back in control with another nice toss, this time into the arena saws, which (BZZZT!) separate the two even more! Orka flies around the saws but its control is a bit shoddy, and though Dantu's isn't exactly the greatest either, it has now has a full shot at Orka's previously damaged side panel! This time Orka's speed isn't enough to match Dantu's as Dantu plunges into that side!
CRASH!!!
And due to Dantu being flipped, the disc practically gouges into the side, tearing a huge crevasse in that titanium side, akin to damage Hypno-Disc gave Wheely Big Cheese! :proud: But this of course allows Orka to arc around, gather Dantu onto its wedge, and with another gigantic flip tosses Dantu across the arena, and into the wall! But it doesn't stop there! Thanks to Orka's impressive speed, it catches up to Dantu as he lands, and another lift sees Dantu off to the tracks! The camera tracks, that is! :proud:
CEASE!
Perhaps Dantu shouldn't keep its devilish presence where it oughtn't to! :proud:

GeFiveOrce...what a mouthful! And what a flipperful if you get stuck on that wide wedge, for you'll get sent flying ala Axe Awe vs. Wheely Big Cheese! :proud: Hardox body and titanium wheel guards help keep away nasty spinners from the internals and it has decent 16mph speed, but may prove a bit uncontrollable. It has average pushing power, too.

From Pontefract...N³!
Also known as Nidhogg Cubed, NxNxN, etc...an absolutely wondrous machine with hydrostatic drive which is apparently 'head and shoulders' above most other vapourbots in terms of torque and control, and it can roll over if flipped. Weapons consist of lifting forks and a powerful hydraulic crushing arm. Very good armour too...except for the base panel, only 5mm aluminium alloy...

This is the fight we came to see, I think! And the drivers are proving it, with Ge5orce immediately zooming out to greet the nordic beast that is Nidhogg! A last second swerve to the side...fails! And Ge5orce rides one of the wheel housings up the wedge only! Nidhogg cannot get a good grip there and has to turn around in order to get a better purchase, but as he does so Ge5orce is away! Andy turns his machine around, targets the sides, and tries to repeat the same tactic! Joey is wiser this time and immediately turns Nidhogg around to greet the charge, but Andy has tricks of his own! He dekes the turn, then swerves off to the other side, catching a surprised Joey off-guard, and getting the flipper under sends Nidhogg over! Nidhogg rolls...back towards Ge5orce, who promptly launches it again! Nidhogg flies across the arena and lands near the floor flipper, but that will not activate until one of the robots has been immobilized...among other things. :proud: Nidhogg is back onto its wheels and deftly evades another fly-in by the 4th seed, but tries to take advantage of its control by sweeping aside and grasping the side of Ge5orce! Before Andy can get away, the lifting forks activate and the crushing arm comes down! Andy guns it in reverse though, and by the time Ge5orce's wheels are off the ground, Nidhogg only has Ge5orce by the tip of the flipper! Unfortunately the pit isn't open and, having Ge5orce caught so weakly, Joey decides to try and further the clamping action! The forks lower and the crushing arm goes down as well, but at that moment Ge5orce activates the flipper and...while ineffective being clamped, the space between forks and arm is enough for Ge5orce to shake himself loose and get away! Furious, Joey has Nidhogg pursue the 4th seed, the weapons resetting to their original positions, and Nidhogg is nearly reaching its top speed of 30mph! Ge5orce stops suddenly and moves backwards in an arc...or tries to, but Nidhogg crashes into the back of it - oho! And Ge5orce had enough to slide off to the side! And now...FLIP! Nidhogg is sent into a 360! Ge5orce resumes his control of the match as Nidhogg is caught again and tipped onto its crushing arm! It rolls over but a quick wedging from Ge5orce sees it going to the arena wall and tosses it...AND NIDHOGG CATCHES THE ARENA RAILING!!! Look at this! The crushing arm of Nidhogg has completely caught the railing of the arena and stopped it from completely going out, but...it's hanging directly on the railing, clamping for dear life as Joey frantically thinks of something to get Nidhogg out of danger...but with Ge5orce in the arena, there's always danger! Andy assumes the position, and Ge5orce pops Nidhogg's crushing arm with the flipper, but Joey made his robot's weapon well, for that's not going to release any time soon! And a second, and rather mistimed, flip has Ge5orce tossing himself over too! :proud: That doesn't really bother Andy much because Ge5orce works both ways up, drive and weapon wise, but what to do about Nidhogg, I wonder? Obviously we need someone to sort this out...and what better robot to do that than The Watcher? :proud: Ge5orce respectfully backs off as the refbot pokes its lifting arm over the wall, being high enough to do that, and manages to get Nidhogg's main body off the top of the wall and into the arena...and Nidhogg lets go! Saved by the referee! The dragon rolls back over onto its wheels, and we have a match again!
Joey wastes no more time, and Nidhogg goes after Ge5orce in a fury not unlike the fury of its namesake! :proud: Ge5orce spins around and backs sideways over the wedge again, but this time Joey gets Nidhogg around in time, and it breaches Ge5orce's flipper! Nidhogg uses all its speed to make sure Ge5orce doesn't get away and raises the lifting forks...but Ge5orce DOES get away! It fell off the spikes just in time and Nidhogg nearly hit the wall, but it turns to get back in Ge5orce's face...err, flipper! :proud: Andy heads back across the arena instead with an angrily pursuing Nidhogg, but a quick turn has Ge5orce again at Nidhogg's side, and all the control and traction in the world won't help if you're airborne, Mr. McConnell! :proud: FLIP! Nidogg goes sailing, but how much CO2 is left in Ge5orce's flipper? Nidhogg hits the wall, but gets away and this time Ge5orce actually hits the wall! Nidhogg quickly turns to take advantage but Ge5orce is already backing away and heading towards the middle of the arena! An agitated Nidhogg hounds it around the arena, and finally catches up! Ge5orce turns around, but far too late and Nidhogg catches the wheel guard! Quickly Joey lifts the forks up under the guard and lowers the crushing arm and the tip of the arm snakes in the space between the tire and guard! Before Joey can do much else, though, Ge5orce fires the flipper again and WHOA! Oh dear! Since Ge5orce is currently inverted, the flipper hit the ground and tossed both robots over! Now Nidhogg has the rollcage-style srimech, but how well will it work when he's latched on to another robot? Not very well, I'm afraid, and Nidhogg now has to release Ge5orce...who's right-side-up, now, by the way! As soon as he does this, Ge5orce is away, but Nidhogg starts to roll back onto his wheels! As he does so, the 4th seed wheels about, a bit shakily as there is definitely some damage done to the tire, and snakes the flipper under the falling side of Nidhogg! Nidhogg starts to drive away...until Ge5orce throws him towards the arena wall! Nidhogg hits the wall upended, and rolls into it, trapped! But there are some problems with Ge5orce's movement! Has the tire been punctured any? We don't know, but Ge5orce IS slowly getting nearer! Nidhogg's crushing arm is already helping it roll off the wall...and onto the flipper of Ge5orce! Quickly the wedge panel flicks upwards...and the crushing arm doesn't save it this time! The recent Hall of Famer is thrust over the arena wall and meets a shocking end on the camera tracks! Ge5orce fires its flipper in weary delight, having successfully defended its 4th seeding!
CEASE!

Fight 2
LockJaw v3 vs. Mega Masher 2
From Cardiff in Wales...LockJaw v3!
An axlebot with three vertical clamping jaws, two on the sides, and the middle one hidden in the main front plow, very powerful force. The wheels are protectoed by triangular Hardox guards, and it's quite manoeuvrable, but it may be a tad controllable, and it hasn't the best drivetrain...or much armour.
C&B1: Didn't compete.
C&B2: Didn't compete.
C&B3: Didn't compete.
From Onehouse in Suffolk...Mega Masher 2!
Triangular wedge shape with a rear cutting disc spinning at 2000rpm and capable of some nasty scarring. Hardox armouring, 6 wheel drive, on top of being impossible to strand on its side thanks to angling, make it rather difficult to beat, but the power for the drive isn't as good.
C&B1: Lifted over the fence by Storm II in Round 1.

After last heat's devastating defeat against Chris Mason, Liam is hungry for revenge, and LockJaw opens its side jaws wide to signify just how hungry! :proud: Mega Masher leads with the disc, but LockJaw swerves to avoid it. Mega Masher cannot turn in time to avoid LockJaw from getting at the side, and the axlebot slides under! Mega Masher tries to turn and hit LockJaw with the disc, but the side jaws are already pressing down and into the wedge...or, one of them is! LockJaw is at the side, preventing Mega Masher from attacking or defending...but he seemingly cannot clamp properly...down comes the middle jaw...and it slides down the wedge like the other jaw! Oh dear, quite a conundrum! This of course finally allows Mega Masher to get away, and give LockJaw a healthy wallop with the vertical flywheel!
CRASH!
Which doesn't exactly do much, considering it merely popped LockJaw up and hardly scratched the Hardox wheel guard! LockJaw blazes back in, in wrath, and actually goes after the rear of Mega Masher...but Mega Mashern spins about and uses the wedge to spin his disc back up safely! That's fine...for Liam! The jaws slide under the wedge and start to clamp down, and Chris realizes his horrible mistake! Hurriedly he tries to turn Mega Masher aside, but the jaws already have a firm grip on the wedge and now the middle jaws comes down...what a grip! With victory literally in his grasp, Liam moves LockJaw over to the pit release button...and smacks Mega Masher into it, the disc slicing straight through the release button! :proud: Contrary to the belief of the audience, this allows LockJaw to further grip onto the wedge, and now having a cinch on the match, LockJaw manoeuvres towards the pit, and all Chris can do is watch as Mega Masher exits the tournament in the first round yet again, deposited in the deep black hole! Liam pumps his fist in the air, having acquired his vengeance for Maximum Genocide's defeat!

For a second, it seems that neither competitor can gain ANY advantage what-so-ever...than the 60v ETEKs in Omega-Rex start to really get into action and Ziggy is pushed all the way across the arena! Samuel thinks better of this and moves Ziggy back in an arc, but Liam was expecting such a thing and Omega-Rex keeps on the attack, getting to Ziggy's side and tossing it across the arena! Ziggy almost goes out but hits the wall and lands right-side-up over the arena spike...and is popped! :proud: It gets away before Omega-Rex can capitalize, and readjusts itself. Omega-Rex just barges in and again neither can get under the either! Ziggy is pushed back again but this time is unable to move back in time and is shoved into the arena wall! This bodes ill for Team Ziggy, for Omega-Rex now has some measure of leverage and sneaks a part of the flipper under Ziggy's own. Realizing this, Liam fires the flipper and Ziggy is popped into the air! It comes back down...onto the upraised flipping arm! But before he can clamp down, the flipper of Ge5orce fires and knocks LockJaw away a bit! Shuddering as the shock of Ge5orce doing that is, the angering part is the 4th seed managing to slip away! LockJaw gets its bearings back and blazes after Ge5orce, but the sudden pirouette of Ge5orce sees its front end hit LockJaw's...and this time Ge5orce wins out! LockJaw is wide...but that means one wheel pod is hanging over the side of the wedge! LockJaw can't exactly go places with one wheel, and there is a trip to the wall by Ge5orce! A toss later, and LockJaw...finds itself ON the railing! Oh dear, de-ja-vu, anyone? Andy is absolutely stunned that this has happened AGAIN, as LockJaw has itself situated on the arena railing, one wheel pod over the arena, the other over the camera tracks...and it's wobbling...! And it's teetering...! And it's...subjected to a flick of the flipper by Ge5orce! And obviously that's it, as LockJaw tips, tops, and topples out of the arena! Score another OOTA for the 4th seed...but it feels its work hasn't been duly achieved and takes a trip to Rorschach's CPZ! It easily slides under the scoops and flicks the huge house robot onto its back, from which it cannot self-right at all! Cassius Chrome barges in, bur not before Ge5orce turns its wide snout towards him next, and Cassius Chrome rides straight up the wedge! Cassius Chrome is popped, but before it can be wholly overturned, The Watcher crashes the party and gets behind Cassius Chrome! It pushes back...but Ge5orce moves back a bit and THEN flips...and the 200kg of NON-Robot-Wars-Series-2-Finalist-Cassius tips onto The Watcher, upended! Ge5orce darts away before the ref can figure out what the bloody hell to do, and slides under the ref too, tossing him over!
